I had a destination wedding in San Juan. The decorations and flowers exceeded my expectations. Many of my guest commented on how stunning everything looked. I had a cascading bouquet that was absolutely gorgeous. I'm so glad my wedding planner Barbi Diaz introduced us.

If you are looking for someone to create the most gorgeous setting for your wedding, hire Mara!!! My husband and I had our destination wedding at El Conquistador resort and I just had to have everything outdoors (unless the weather didn't cooperate). She turned the Trellises area in to the most romantic setting and listened to everything I described I wanted to look like and photos I shared, but with her own unique twist and it was more than I could have asked for. We received so many compliments from our guests on how it was the most beautiful wedding from the flowers, to the table settings, the arch and my gorgeous bouquet. You will not be disappointed with Mara and her team! Thank you so much! xoxo

Mara was amazing in every possible way! She went above and beyond, and totally saw our vision for our perfect wedding before we even did. When we first came to her, we didn't have very many photographs or thoughts of what we wanted for our wedding. She was very patient with us and gave us many great ideas for the wedding, including using sea glass for our escort cards. We also had an obnoxious request when it came to outside lighting for the reception and she listened and figured out how to make it work against all odds!

Also, the bride's bouquet was honestly the most beautiful bouquet that we have ever seen! We genuinely feel that we got way more than our money's worth! We can not express enough how insightful and talented Mara is!

If you are looking for a true creative and a true artist who TRULY listens to your visions and carries them out with ease and professionalism...then you must absolutely book "Blanco by Mara". She is such a sweet individual who you can tell truly loves her career. Mara's attention to detail is unmatched and she is swift no nonsense. In all honesty Mara and her staff are light years ahead of the many competitors on the island with floral design and contemporary style. One vendor you would not have to worry about during your planning process, trust me she has it all under control!

Blanco by Mara were awesome to work with. I live in the South Carolina and was able to make all the decorating decisions with Mara over emails and phone calls. She also helped me with deciding what would look better. She was onsite on wedding day and helped especially with the changes that needed to be made because of the weather. The flowers were beautiful. I would highly recommend her.

Blanco by Mara is wonderful. I' m in Love with their decoration and his flowers. My wedding decorations is like a princess wedding. I love my tables, peonias, chairs and centerpieces. I extremely recommend to everybody. Thanks Mara for all.

Since I was a little girl I always dreamt about my wedding day. From the dress to the church, venue, but most importantly about the flowers, decoration, & theme of my wedding. When it came time to plan our wedding, I knew without a doubt that Mara would do the flowers, decorations, & our invitations. To give you a little background Mara did my sisters’ wedding which was amazing!!! She also has done around 10 of my closest friends’ weddings & every time I attended one of these weddings it was a different romantic & beautiful experience. Her talent is limitless. So picking her was a no brainer for both my husband & I.

Working with Mara was a delight. She listened to what I wanted & asked me to send her my pinterest wedding board to see what type of decorations I liked. I only had the colors picked out. I wanted a white, black, & gold wedding, colors that brides don’t usually pick. Even though those are my favorite colors I was hesitant about the idea & how it would look on the venue. As I explained this to Mara she eased my worries. She knew what she was doing. I remember she asked me to send her pictures of bouquets of flowers I liked. I responded that I wanted a bouquet of white peonies. One of the pictures I sent her was of a bouquet of white peonies & in between it had gold painted peonies. On the day of my wedding, while I getting ready the bouquet arrived & to my surprise, Mara had gone above and beyond & painted the peonies gold. It is the most beautiful bouquet of flowers I’ve ever seen & that moment marked the beginning of a fairy tale wedding. Mara’s talent & professionalism didn’t cease to amaze me. Her attention to detail made our wedding everlasting. From the flowers to the linens, menus, & romantic candles. I would never in my wildest dreams imagined what she created for us. There was no one person that attended the wedding that came to me to compliment me on the flowers & decorations & I have to say it was all because of Mara.

Blanco by Mara made all my wedding dreams come true! She used my Pinterest wedding board to get an idea of what I was envisioning and she found invitations that were exactly what I wanted. She incorporated all my ideas beautifully. I wanted to live in the room she decorated for us. Everything was beautiful, the reception area, the guest tables, the bride and groom table and my favorite, the dessert table. Every time I turned around, I noticed something new that I loved.
She captured everything I wanted perfectly, even though I live far away and couldn't personally meet with her until a few days before the wedding. She was very responsive through email and phone and was able to make some last minute changes.
All of our guests were impressed with the flowers and decor and already one of them booked Blanco by Mara for her upcoming wedding!
I would definitely recommend their services!!

Mara did an amazing job at putting together the flowers and decor for my daughters dream wedding!! It was a challenge since my daughter lives in Florida and the wedding was in Puerto Rico but Mara did an exceptional job at taking what my daughter had requested and made it all come to life for a romantic beach wedding. I highly recommend her services to anyone whom is looking for a professional decorator who has a creative mind and can make anything to happen to make someones dream come true.

Blanco by Mara was so helpful and thorough to plan our wedding. She provided a picture that brought my vision to life, we are located over 500 miles away so she really brought an elegant and beautiful touch for our wedding day!! Thank God for Blanco by Mara and Ambiance Events. They were so responsive and flexible with all my changes. I changed my vision for the wedding a few times, and they were so patience and willing to do whatever I needed! The reception turned out perfectly and my flowers were absolutely gorgeous. The florist even texted me photos of the flowers the day before to make sure I was happy with them. I would highly recommend this company!

Overall, the service provided by Blanco by Mara was excellent! They were very pleasing; always trying to look for ways to accommodate to my budget and my taste. I was very, very happy and satisfied with the decorations and flowers at my wedding. It all looked beautiful!!!
They also prepared the invitations for my wedding. They were beautiful! They only thing was that I had to go back to their office because the invitations were missing a rhinestone that was included in the contract, but it was all corrected immediately. It happened also during rush time, but they responded and solved the problem quickly.
I would definitely recommend their service!!

Mara was our exquisite decorator for our ceremony, we wanted an upscale all white ceremony decor and she created a beautiful setting under an amazing chandelier at the hotel ballroom. It took my breath away the moment I walked in to see my guests and groom. It was such a rich and beautiful ceremony look, she created draping on our chivalry chairs that lined the aisle with beautiful white boxes filled with white and yellow flowers. All surrounded by candles, even as I write it I imagine it and transport myself back to it. It was truly a beautiful ceremony and Mara made everything I wished for come true. She is amazing at what she does and I just loved working with her. She helped me work out my concept, what I was going for and listened to all my input. She really has amazing taste and that is totally reflected in her work.

To describe my experience with Mara in one word I must use magical. Every detail I had on my mind she traced with perfection. My wedding decoration was spectacular and everybody still talks about it. First, I would like to mention that I am a very demanding and a very detailed person. I interviewed quite a few decorators around the San Juan area and from all the decorators that I interviewed I found that Mara was the most organized, professional, and flexible. These are the reasons why we signed a contract with her. Also, I noticed that the materials that she uses are of great quality. Her work is expensive but she works with you to fit your budget without losing quality.
Also, another factor that made the process more challenging for us is that we don’t live in Puerto Rico and we had to travel a few times for a very short period of time to meet with vendors and make decisions. During one of those visits to Puerto Rico, I ended up changing my mind regarding the colors and décor/flowers for our wedding. I decided to go with soft colors and change the type of flowers. Mara had already purchased the specific materials that I requested but she was very professional and flexible and ended up pleasing me 100% plus. We increased the quantity and changed the type of flowers, a giant round bar was made for me and also, we changed the entire concept of the wedding to a more romantic and contemporary look from our initial contract (contemporary look with dark colors.) At the end, EVERYTHING TURNED OUT TO BE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL & PERFECT!
We received so many compliments from both sides of our families and friends. From my family/friends side from Puerto Rico, they mentioned that the flowers looked so fresh and that the décor was beautiful. They loved every detail, even the décor for the cocktail hour, (the little vases with the flowers, the table cloths that were chosen, etc.) As for his family/friends side from the USA (California and East Coast), they commented that the décor was very elegant, that this was the most beautiful wedding that they have ever been to and that the decorator did a GREAT job.

Blanco by Mara made our wedding night and night to remember. When my husband and I walked into our reception it was so magical that it brought tears of joy to my eyes. Everything from the flowers, table settings, lighting left us both speechless. Her attention to detail made it so special and unforgettable that to this day I still have a lot of our friends and family still talk about how beautiful the decor was. Mara did such an amazing job with my reception decor and my flowers for my wedding at Hacienda Siesta Alegre! Everything looked beautiful! It was kind of scary not knowing what types of items she was renting for me until my wedding day, but she has great taste and judgement. The tables looked impeccable! I loved the rented lanterns and our flowers were perfect. Thank you Mara!

We used Blanco by Mara for my daughter's destination wedding in March 2013. Mara's work was exactly what we wanted in terms of atmosphere, decor, elegance and beauty. The bridal flowers and reception venue were simply gorgeous. The shade of the flowers were perfect. After the reception we took some of the flowers back to the hotel and four days later they were still beautiful. I would definitely recommend Mara to anyone. In fact I would recommend my entire team that was used for my daughter's wedding. They all work really well together and did an outstanding job. We had so much fun on our trip I can't wait to return.

Breathtaking, beautiful, unique, wow! Words cannot express how thankful we are that Mara decorated our wedding. When we came into the room we cannot believe that that was our wedding. WOW is all I have to say. I've had many many events throughout my years that I have planned and not one has ever turned out to be exactly what I evisioned and then some. Mara turned my thoughts into reality. My wedding was absolutely beautiful!!! It was simple but extremely romantic and elegant. Truly Amazing!!! Mara was the most chic, modern and sophisticated decorator I could find for my wedding. We got married on an old Spanish house in Old San Juan and Mara made sure to use the internal beauty of the place to her advantage. Our banquet hall looked spectacular and our ceremony decor was simple but elegant. The flowers were top of the line and the materials on the tables and chairs were clearly high quality. She really knows what she is doing.

Nuestra boda fué en Casa de España en el Viejo San Juan y Mara utilizó la belleza interna del lugar para complementar su decorado. El salón biblioteca estuvo espectacular y la ceremonia, en el Castillo San Cristóbal, quedo simple pero muy elegante. Las flores y los materiales en las mesas y sillas fueron de la mejor calidad. Mara sabe muy bien lo q hace y lo hace con seguridad y profesionalismo.

Mara is an extremely creative individual who will bring your vision to life! I was obsessed with all of the flowers and decorations she provided my husband and me on our wedding day. I continued to add things to the list of what I wanted and she was willing to make that happen for us. My guests were obsessed with the fullness of the centerpieces and the overall ambiance that her flowers and decorations provided our venue. Mara is great!

Mara was great to work with. She communicated easily with via email, we are from NYC so we made an extra trip to book our vendors. She was very accommodating and we went to visit her showroom. She listened attentively to what we wanted, answered all our questions and gave us great suggestions. She was fair with her prices yet things did add up, but it was worth every penny and in the end our wedding day was a great success! Thanks so much!!!!

We choose Blanco by Mara as our decorator for our January 25th, 2014 wedding. She came recommended by our wedding planner, Maria Lugo.

Mara is a professional. She knows what she is doing and does it very well. At first, when we had our first decorations trial, the flower arrangements were not what I expected...there was a bit of miscommunication. However, Mara was incredibly open to changes and allowed us to have a second decoration trial which was awesome! She understood exactly what I wanted our wedding decorations to be and the day of the wedding the ballroom looked absolutely PERFECT!

There were times in during the planning process in which I felt a little annoyed because it was extremely hard to get a hold of Mara. Since she is so good at what she does, she is extremely busy however I would have liked the lines of communication between her and us to be more open...I think that would have made the planning process a bit easier. However, I must say that as the wedding day got closer, especially the two weeks before, the communication drastically improved and everything came out absolutely beautiful!

Mara provided us with a number of services. She provided our charger plates, table linens, chairs, cocktail area decoration, seating cards, printed menus, flowers, ballroom decoration, some flower vases (we purchased a lot of them so that our guest could take them home), candles, chandeliers, lighting for the bride and groom table, backdrop for the bride and groom table, additional consoles, church decorations (pews and altar), boutonnieres, bridesmaids and maid of honor bouquets, and the bride's bouquet .... Everything that she provided was absolutely amazing and beautiful!

Mara did an incredibly professional, beautiful, extremely high quality job and we could not be happier with our wedding decorations and all the services she provided! FANTASTIC!

Mara did a fantastic job with our flowers and decor!
The quote she gave us was a little vague, but she understood exactly what we wanted and really came through in the end. We sent her pictures of flowers and decor we liked and talked to her over the phone, and she incorporated all of our ideas. She also sent us pictures of her previous work so we could see if we liked that. She worked with us to stay on budget, and her services were a great value for the price. Everything for the ceremony and reception was set up perfectly - the bouquets and boutoniers were beautiful, and she even added little touches like gemstones to the bouquets! She also let us pay by credit card over the phone, which was very convenient, and she agreed to last minute changes (and adjusted the quote price accordingly). I would highly recommend Mara for your wedding decor.

POOR COMMUNICATION!
My wedding flowers were all screwed up.
I had sent detailed information about what I wanted for my bridal bouquet and got nothing that I wanted; money was not an issue I would have paid anything to have the correct bouquet. Soooo disappointed. I am still waiting for my refund that she promised me two months ago.
