Lyn M. Married on 09/10/2022AH-MAZING Cupcakes!! All Kinds of Deliciousness!
John was so kind and very flexible with us. We had a small, casual backyard wedding with about 35 people. We ordered 70 cupcakes (we were missing 10, but they were huge and we had more than enough, so no big deal). The cupcakes were FANTABULOUS!!! They were soft and fresh. Everyone loved them! John delivered them himself. We decided not to have them set up as it was very hot for a September afternoon. Everyone left with a cupcake and from what I understand, ate it on the way home! Thank you John and everyone at Blackberry Bakery for making our wedding day sweet! xoxo

Lauren Married on 10/01/2016We had initially selected a different vendor for our cake but then had a Blackberry Bakery cake at my mother's retirement party that my husband decided he simply MUST have for our wedding cake (strawberry shortcake). The only frustrating part of the process was trying to communicate with them -- lots of waiting between emails and calls back. Once we did get in for our tasting it was a very simple process. I had printed and emailed several photos of what I wanted (a naked cake). I was told that would be simple enough, and let them know that our florist would provide fresh flowers to decorate.
The cake the day of definitely was not naked, which was a surprise! That was not what I chose to focus on during the day and it was still a lovely looking cake. The taste was absolutely phenomenal and we got so many compliments that it was the best wedding cake people had had, so in the end, it didn't really matter what it looked like! I'd recommend them for sure but be sure to stay on top of them in terms of communication and maybe find a better way to convey the exact look you're going for if you have a specific vision. -
User877210 2+ years agoI'm usually not a person who gives really bad reviews however my wedding cake was awful! It was nothing like what we discussed. We were working with their cake designer for at least 6-8 months before our wedding! Her work was really nice and their cakes taste great! I was very excited to see the final result!
The day before our wedding we dropped off flowers for the cake! We got a hint that something wasn't right because the flowers that the bakery told the florist to make were different but the flowers were still beautiful so we let it go!
The morning of our wedding, I get a call from the bakery!!!!! A women tells me she is new and that she will be decorating my wedding cake and wanted to make sure what I wanted!!!!!!!! Also that the flowers that I brought in the day before all died!!! Let me stress... This is the morning of my wedding!!!!!
The women arrived at the venue and then proceeded to start decorating the cake there!! The color was completely off that nothing like I asked! Very disappointed!!! Not recommended!!
