Perfect Videographer

Mike and Black Tie Video were amazing to work with for our wedding, and we're super glad we hired them.

Our outdoor ceremony had some unpredictable weather, but Mike was able to capture it regardless. Despite the challenging location on narrow docks by the river, Mike's use of a GoPro and his camera allowed him to capture multiple angles with just one camera person. We were initially worried how we'll someone would be able to shoot our unique location, but it turned out great.

The 6-minute ceremony highlight video Mike delivered is also amazing. The editing and transitions were perfect, and I think everyone we've shown it to so far has teared up, including me every time I watch it.

They offer the option to purchase the raw footage, giving us full control over our memories, which was another big selling point for us. They have tons of other flexible packages and stuff too.

Mike was able to capture those incredible shots without ever being intrusive. During the wedding, we barely noticed him, yet the footage he produced was extraordinary.

In short, Mike and Black Tie Video exceeded our expectations in every way, delivering exceptional service, incredible videos, and unmatched professionalism. We can't recommend them enough!

Really good videographers

They did a fantastic job capturing my wedding. The drone footage and the highlights reel was my favorite. Highly recommend

Well worth every penny!

I can’t speak highly enough about Black Tie. We worked with Mike through the planning process! He was able to answer all our questions and was extremely flexible with our needs. On the wedding day, we had two guys there to film. They were able to use the drone which made for amazing shots for our video! At times I forgot they were there! Both guys were extremely chill and adaptable! Mike did a fabulous job with the video and music! I am so glad we used them and able to share these memories with our children one day!!

Black Tie Video surely deserves a 5 Star rating, but the 5 Stars do not tell the whole story. The Instant Replay is a unique and very special product and warrants a 10 Star rating. The Instant Replay serves to start the wedding celebration with energy, amazement, and tears of joy. Mike is outstanding! Black Tie Video is, without question, the absolute best investment to ensuring your wedding day an unforgettable experience.

They captured a mothers heart and a families love in their video. They exceed all expectations of what one could imagine. Quality, professionalism, exquisite attention to detail. Black Tie Video, Michael Callahan (owner) always answers calls, explains everything, and he goes above and beyond to capture the moments that will fill your hearts with great joy and satisfaction when you hire him to video your event. Great experience!

Black Tie Video was recommended to me from a friend. They did not disappoint. I met with Mike and he was professional, funny and very informative. He showed me some different styles of videos so I could get an idea of his style and what I am Looking for. This was very important and helpful as a bride planning all the details. I decided to add a drone to my first look and wedding video and the end result was truly amazing. I am so grateful that Black Tie captured every special moment of the biggest day of my life. I would highly recommend Mike and the Black Tie team to any Bride and Groom!

Excellent!

Incredible doesn’t even begin to describe Mike’s work. I saw one of his instant replays of a friend of mine and I was immediately sold. He’s incredibly talented, professional, and so enjoyable to work with. He was always available to talk and answer all of my questions and never hesitated to meet with me in person to go over details. To top things off, his instant replay is amazing. There was so better feeling than hearing all of our guests gasp when the video went from a childhood slideshow to the present day at our church! Just amazing. Mike is just an absolute joy to work with and was one of the easiest (and fastest!) vendor that we booked. Incredibly talented and his videos will take your breath away. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else capturing the most special day of our lives!!

Black tie video was mentioned to us through a co-worker. Initially, we didn’t think we needed a video to capture our day. Upon meeting with Mike, he showed us his past videos and they blew us away. What separates Mike from the rest:
1) The Instant Replay- The day of the wedding, he captures all footage leading from the beginning through the ceremony. The addition of the couples past pictures creates an “instant replay” of their life and day of video. Ask to see an example and you’ll understand why we went this route. Simply, the “instant replay” is an additional cost but WORTH IT. It was and still is something about our entire wedding day that people still comment on. You won’t be disappointed.
2) professionalism- mike knows his stuff and takes pride in his work. If you have a vision, he can make it happen.
3) quality- mike uses the most state of the art technology. my video in its entirety was back within 1-2 months. It was unbelievable.

I am more than happy with Black Tie Video for my daughter's wedding. They were so good about meeting us before and asking my daughter and son-in-law exactly what they wanted on their wedding day-- and they got exactly what they wanted. The video came out better than I ever imagined. The music and clips from the day that were selected were just amazing. My friends and family who I sent the video to said they have watched it a few times and feel like they are reliving the wedding. I am extremely glad my daughter chose Black Tie!

We can't thank Mike and his Black Tie Video team for being the perfect wedding videographer for our special day. He also filmed my bridal shower and created a video too. For our wedding, he put together and AMAZING instant replay and played it before me and my husband entered. He also brought along his self stick where we were able to share it around the dance floor to catch everyone having a great time. Within days he posted our preview so we were able to share our day with friends and family. Black Tie Video are the best in the business and we would recommend them to anyone!!!

I can not put into words how impressed, grateful, BLOW AWAY etc. by Mike and Todd from Black Tie Video. I had no interest in videography when I first planned to get married (we were on a tight budget), however, a friend showed me an "instant replay" of her videographer (Black Tie) and I was so impressed I knew I wanted to go with them. Even seeing beforehand what they could do, I was over the moon with the job they did at my wedding. You HAVE to go with them and you HAVE to do the "instant replay"! I have heard from almost every guest it was the most beautiful thing they have ever seen at any wedding ever! Even if videography is not a thought for you- just reach out and see what they do, it WILL change your mind and you WON'T regret it!

Darren and I got married 10/1/16, when we were first planning we decided we were not going to have a video. How quickly this decision changed when I saw a friends wedding video and highlight from Black Tie Video. Mike was so easy to work with and accommodated every thought and and idea of ours. Our videographer was Brian who captured every emotion of our perfect day.

Our final Highlight ended up being 12 minutes long and was so beautiful. They replayed the whole day in such a breathtaking way, I watch the highlight almost everyday. Such a big thank you to Mike and Brian and the whole Black Tie Video crew for doing such an amazing job and giving the gift to relive the best day of our lives over and over again.

We cannot thank Mike and the staff at Black Tie video enough for capturing our very special day. Photography only goes so far. The video that Black tie created for us actually brings us back to our wedding day. Upon our initial meeting with Mike, he insured us that he would tailor our wedding video to make it reflect Mike and I as a couple. We are huge country music fans and Mike was able to incorporate that for us. The instant replay was a huge success and our family and friends were highly impressed by the quality of work from black tie on that day. They were quick to respond to emails and phone calls and Mike assured me everything would go smoothly when he went over all details with me just days before our wedding. The day of, you could barely tell that Mike and his assistant were present. They were beyond professional. Mike and the crew at black ties work stands for itself. Simply amazing. I have nothing but praise for Mike, Elizabeth, and Brian at Black Tie! Everyone always contemplates spending the extra money on a videographer, but I cannot stress enough that it is totally WORTH IT. The photographs remind you of your wedding day, but it is the video that really brings it back to life again. It is so nice to also have a short trailer to show friends and family. Mike and I worked together to pick the music of my choice, and added lots of sound bytes to perfect the trailer. Brian and Brian who captured the day, did an amazing job! Most of the time, I didn't even notice that they were there. I am so very grateful for my video, it is all that I have to look back on. Thank you to everyone at Black Tie!

Mike and Black Tie were an absolute pleasure to work with. Everything went incredibly smoothly and stress-free the day of the wedding, thanks to Mike. At first I was not sure I even wanted a video of the wedding, but many friends and family who did not have one said that they really regretted it. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined having wedding footage as beautiful as what Mike and Black Tie have provided us. We also did an instant replay at the wedding which many of my guests had not seen before. It absolutely blew them away. It even brought me to tears watching it from afar, waiting to be announced for the first time as husband and wife. Mike has a true eye for what he does and it is without hesitation that I recommend him and Black Tie as top wedding videographers. I could not be more pleased with Black Tie Video's services. There were plenty of other videographers in our area to choose from but I don't believe any other company does the instant replay video. This gets played just as the bride and groom enter into the reception. That was the hit of the evening. There wasn't one guest that did not mention to me (mother of the bride) or the bride and groom just how special that was. Big hit!

Black Tie Video did an AMAZING job with our wedding video! We are so impressed with our 15 minute highlight video - everything was incredible from the song choices to clip choices to the flow of it all. We have already rewatched it multiple times and can't wait to continue to watch it. Our family and friends love it too! We just watched our 90 minute video and it's wonderful to see all of the speeches, first look, ceremony, dancing etc. I highly recommend Black Tie Video - they are very talented and very professional! They blended in at our wedding yet still got all the footage we love. Thank you!!!

Mike was our videographer at my daughter's wedding this past summer at The Hyatt Regency Newport. He did an absolutely terrific job capturing our special day and was a pleasure to work with. The Instant Replay shown at the beginning of the night was a total hit and one which people are still talking about. Also , the video with music made for the bride and her dad was so moving and extremely well done. Although these 2 videos brought tears to our eyes, it also brought together so many wonderful moments that we wanted to capture and share. Can't wait to watch them all over again over Thanksgiving with our whole family. Mike was INCREDIBLE, with a very nice personality too! He is professional and really knows what he is doing. He blended in and made himself inconspicuous, yet he was able to capture the wedding perfectly. It rained during the outdoor ceremony but he was right out there with us. We LOVE the video and are able to relive wonderful wedding memories by watching it.

The videographer that worked with us on our wedding day did such an amazing job. He was discreet and professional, and captured ALL the moments we could have asked for. We also added the instant replay to our package and it was the best decision. We absolutely loved seeing a quick replay of the day and we surprised our guests. We got such great feedback from our guests, they absolutely loved the instant replay and were so impressed that the videographer was able to put it all together so quickly. The sequence of images and the clips pieced together with the music choices were absolutely perfect. We couldn't be happier and would definitely recommend Black Tie, and use them again ourselves if the occasion arose.

Mike did an AMAZING job capturing our day. He was able to get so many amazing shots while being nearly invisible. The instant replay at the wedding was so great and had everyone so impressed. We recently got our highlight video and it was beyond perfect! It was a 15 min video that wrapped up the whole day and even things I missed. Mike took the time to use songs that we used in the wedding and it fit together so seamlessly. I can't stop watching it and has had everyone who has seen it in tears. Black Tie is one of the first phone calls I made after getting engaged and it was an easy choice. Everything was so perfect and beautifully done.

Mike was absolutely amazing on our wedding day. We did the "Instant Replay" option where he does a review of the things that happened already that day and plays it at the opening of the reception. So many people have told me how much they loved that. It is worth the extra money. Our final video came out beautiful. Mike was really able to capture the emotions of the day and I couldn't be happier. I didn't cry during my wedding but I cry every time I watch the video. :) Thank you Mike!!!

I'm so glad we decided to go with Black Tie Video to capture our day. At first we were undecided about having video at all in an effort to save a few dollars but than I watched my cousins video from Black Tie on her anniversary and remembered how much I loved watching it at her wedding with the instant replay.
We also picked the instant replay package and got many compliments on it.
The quality of the video is fantastic and Mike was great! I'm so glad we decided to get video and that we chose Black Tie Video. They made the process simple and we love watching our highlight rail over and over again!

Really happy we chose to do a video. Watched it two months after and brought back some great memories you can't get with photos. We did an instant replay and our guests couldn't stop commenting on it and how amazed they were that they were able to get it done. Go with Black Tie and you won't be disappointed. There isn't even words to describe how incredibly happy my husband and I are with our wedding video. From day one Mike was one of our favorite vendors to deal with ..I knew that no matter what we had to have black tie do our wedding videography- I was even wiling to change my date to make sure we secured him. Absolutely go with Black Tie Video. They were professional, easy to work with, and you hardly noticed them which is what you want. They put together a surprise video for our guests at the reception that played just before we entered. Everybody was glued on this and it added such a nice touch. It showed us (bride and groom) getting ready before the ceremony, some of the ceremony, a slide show of pictures, and us saying thanks you to all of our guests. Black Tie picked great music during this as well. Best idea!!

I first saw Black Tie Video's work about 14 years ago at my uncle's wedding. I was so amazed that at the reception they had footage of my aunt and uncle getting ready, as well as clips from the wedding that just happened an hour ago! I knew that one day when I got married, this was something that was important to me. When we got engaged I looked around for different videographers, and a handful offered the same day edit- but no one did it quite like Black Tie. When we met with Mike he was a very down to earth guy- he had been doing wedding videos for a long time, and knew how to capture all of the important moments. We were so glad that we chose them. Mike really listened to what we wanted, and he was even able to include childhood videos into the beginning that brought our family to tears. We made a last minute decision to have a videographer at our wedding and are really glad we did it. Black Tie Video was easy to work with before, during and after the wedding. We had Mike, the owner, video our wedding day, and it was one of the best decisions we made. Mike was amazing from the first time we met with him. We also did the Instant Replay that he offers and STILL people have not stopped talking about it. It was an amazing add on and so worth the money. Multiple guests at our wedding said our videographer stole the show with his "instant replay." Mike Callahan (the owner) was a pleasure to work with and his quality speaks for itself. He offers an "instant replay" video to be played for your guests at the reception before you get introduced as a couple. The instant replay includes a slideshow of the bride and groom growing up and then videos of the bride and groom getting ready for the day as well as their nuptials. It's really incredible how quickly he puts it together.

Even more striking though is the quality. He manages to capture even the most intimate moments. Don't book a videographer without meeting with him and seeing what he has to offer. He's worth every penny. You will not be disappointed with him.

If you don't go with black tie video you will not have the best videographer in the business!from the first meeting I knew black tie was my videographer for my wedding. Black Tie Video was one of my favorite vendors to work with! My husband and I knew we wanted to have a videographer for our wedding, so we could watch the memories of our special day and see how much fun our family/friends were having :) I am SO glad we did! We had Brian from Black Tie Video and he was incredible!! So professional, laid back, and extremely talented. We chose to do their "instant replay," which is played at the reception prior to the new couple being introduced. It included pictures of us as kids, growing up together in high school and college, pictures from the past 5 years of our relationship, and video footage of the both of us getting ready the morning of the wedding, and parts of the ceremony. Our families and guests were absolutely blown away by the footage the videographer had captured!! They are still talking about how unique that was, and how it made our wedding extra special by sharing our story. Black tie video was by far one of the BEST vendors we worked with for our wedding. The help they provided us during the planning and the product they ultimately delivered was of superior quality. What stood out for us the most was our Instant Replay video. My husband and I had a private ceremony before our big reception of 150 guests (all on the same day). We had Mike video record us getting ready and the our ceremony and then had him actually cut it down and play it at the reception as an "Instant Replay." We only allotted him 45 minutes to get the job done, and he did it!! When the surprise video started playing for our guests, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Everyone still talks about that video even two months later. Also, the highlight video Mike sent us included footage of the entire wedding and it is a work of art. I watch it at least once a week and cry every time. It is such a treasure to have because I wasn't able to see everything on the actual day. I highly recommend getting a videographer and encourage you to choose Black Tie.

What can I say about this amazing videographer!!words can not express the value of service I received on my wedding day. Mike was very professional and accomadating to what i wanted in a videographer. What I liked best about this videographer was that he captured all of the important moments, but stayed out of the way. Even my guests commented after the wedding that they never saw the videographer. I've been to weddings before where the videographer took over the dance floor so that guests were discouraged from dancing, I definitely did not want a videographer like that.

I cannot recommend this company enough! Mike went above and beyond for us on our wedding day. My husband and I wanted to do the playback video at our wedding, which was something the majority of our guests have never seen before. Mike was able to put together footage from the day leading up to the wedding which allowed our guests to see me and my husband while we were getting ready. Mike came to me while I was getting ready to take footage for the video, and then went to meet my husband at the church to take video of him. We gave him about 40 pictures of ourselves growing up as well as after we met to add to the playback video. Mike was able to take all of the footage in the 1.5 hours that we had after the ceremony and prior to dinner to put together the best video that I have ever seen. Prior to my husband and I getting introduced at the reception, our guests were able to watch the video dubbed with songs of our choice. My husband and I were able to watch our guests from outside the room to see their reactions - and there was not a dry eye in the house! Everyone kept coming up to us throughout the night saying how amazing that video was. During the wedding, Mike even gave us a go pro that allowed us and our guests to capture the wedding from different points of views. Mike has been such a pleasure to work with and I would recommend him to anyone for their wedding!

The Black Video team videographed one daughter's wedding twelve years ago - outstanding job. So, of course we called them again; but times and techniques had changed; however, Black Video gave us our special style request even though it wasn't their current method. I got married November 22, 2014 and Mike was my videographer. Initially, I did not want to get a video for my wedding, thinking pictures would be plenty to capture the day. I am so happy I decided to do a video! Starting with bridal preparations, throughout the ceremony, and continuing throughout the reception, Mike did an amazing job capturing my wedding day! As I watch the wedding video, I notice that Mike was able to capture every single person that was invited to my wedding! He did a beautiful job creating the shorter clip that captured all of the important moments of the night, in addition to using the songs from the ceremony and first dance. Myself, along with many other guest complimented how well Mike was able to move throughout the wedding without anyone ever feeling like they were being watched. I received my wedding videos only 2 months after the wedding and was able to bring my whole family together to watch it. It is something that I will treasure forever. Black Tie Video was a pleasure to work with from start to finish! I was hesitant to have a videographer, period, just because I wasn't sure if I cared all that much. It was the best decision I ever made to go and meet with Mike. He met with us for over and hour and really explored all the options that we would have. It was such a comfortable experience and we left without a doubt in our minds that we would be going with Black Tie. We decided upon our package along with the Instant Replay, which was the best decision we could have made! I cannot even say all the compliments we got on it! There seriously was not a dry eye in the house! It was only the beginning of great videos to come. Our highlight reel was absolutely amazing and captured every moment perfectly. We just watched our entire video after we got it in the mail (with the cutest popcorn package - such a great touch) and we were so thrilled to relive such a perfect day. Thank you Black Tie Video! Black Tie Video was the best decision we made for our wedding! They exceeded any expectation my husband and I had ten fold! They were very professional and brought tears to everyone's eyes with the same day edit we played before we were introduced at our reception. Black tie video did an amazing job capturing my entire wedding! From getting ready to the reception, every moment was in film. The man who shot my wedding was extremely nice and professional and Mike was great to work with. We received two amazing videos- a highlight and a full length and we love them! I would definitely recommend using black tie!

Black Tie was truly amazing. Our videographer, Chris, was the warmest, nicest, and all around best guy. They did a FABULOUS job on our video and we could not be any happier - I will be watching this over and over again. Whoever thinks they should pass on a videographer is out of their mind - 100% worth it!!!!

Everyone said they had a blast at our wedding but the thing they will always remember will be the instant replay! Mike was so awesome and easy to work with! We are so glad that we chose Black Tie Video! Mike did an exceptional job shooting our wedding day. We even did the "Same Day Edit" and showed it prior to us being announced in the ballroom and I can't tell you how amazed everyone was with that special touch. Highly recommend Black Tie Video as your wedding videographer! Mike was friendly and easy to work with. We selected the Same Day Replay option (yes, an increase to our budget but TOTALLY worth it!) and Mike's work was excellent! We surprised all of our guests with this video and it is still being talked about! Everyone loved it! We also received the video link the day after our wedding so we could send this to our friends and family who were unable to attend our event, or others who wanted to view it again..and again and again! It was definitely worth the extra budget to do something surprising and special for our families and guests! I would highly recommend Black Tie Video to any bride/groom looking for the perfect videographer for their special day!

Great job! Mike did all our videography and it came out beautifully! He was very fast with the video trailer as well- absolutely great job and would highly recommend. In fact, we found Mike through a friend who also used Black Tie Video and had recommended!

We loved working with Black Tie Video!! We would definitely recommend using them! Our guests were completely surprised when right after dinner a flashback video started playing-- showing photos of my husband and I when were kids, and then during our relationship, and then cutting to the actual day of the wedding. It was amazing-- one of the best parts of our wedding!!

My videographer Brian was the best, he was professional and made the day so special with his talent. I chose to do the "Instant Replay" (which is a must have) He created it that in minutes and it was my favorite thing that I had at my wedding. Everyone loved the video and it had a great personal touch! I cant wait to see my complete wedding video.

I recently had my wedding on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the Ipswich Country Club. I hired Black Tie Videography in North Reading and I could not be happier. Chris was our videographer and was FANTASTIC. I was a little bit of a nervous bride and kept getting his name wrong when we initially met but fortunately he didn't seem to mind at all. LOL! I was not really into being interviewed on our wedding day and just wanted him to capture our day. He indeed did that and was able to capture the day as it happened without anything being rehearsed. Chris was around us the whole time and didn't miss a trick but I didn't notice a camera being in my face at all. It was great because that is all that my husband and I really wanted. I could not be happier with his professionalism and friendly vibe. It was key and helping our day run smoothly. Thanks so much Black Tie Video and CHRIS, I promise I will never forget who captured our wedding day on film. LOL!

All I have to say is AMAZING! Mike and the entire Black Tie team do amazing work! I hired Black Tie for our wedding videography. They offer an amazing service called "Instant Replay". Before we were introduced into the venue, an 8 minute clip was shown to guests that had pictures of us growing up as well as a re-cap of bride getting ready/ceremony played at the reception site. Mike captured every detail and every important moment leaving us with a DVD full of amazing memories to cherish forever. I highly recommend Black Tie as they do amazing work and the end product is perfection. They work with you to customize the right package and to ensure it fits your budget! I don’t even know where to begin with how happy my husband and I were/are with all of Black Tie Video's services. Brian, our videographer, was AMAZING!! He truly made our night. They really have an irreplaceable employee within their company. He went above and beyond his job by making sure my husband and I were relaxed, calm, and enjoying ourselves.

The instant replay was talked about by every single guest at our 10/1/11 wedding, even from the wait staff. The instant re-play is a MUST! We watched it play from a window and saw every single guest crying! It was great that we were given our re-play at the end of the night to bring home with us and watch on our honeymoon. It came out even better than we had imagined.

Meredith the office manager is wonderful and was wonderful to work with. They were extremely respectful and flexible with our budget and created a package for us that worked for us. I would recommend this company to everyone!!

Black Tie Video was amazing to work with! They produce a wonderful product that provides memories for years. Mike was professional, attentive, remembered details from a meeting he and my family had with him over a year before, and was a pleasure to work with. I received my preview edit of the video promptly and my husband and I loved every minute of it! I also can't say enough about Meredith, his assistant. She was very informative and helpful with brainstorming ideas for our instant replay, which was played right before our introduction into the reception.

Mike is an amazing videographer. I cannot recommend Black Tie Video highly enough. He is fun to work with, but more importantly, he is extremely talented.

Our instant replay video introduced us the reception and it blew all of the guests away! It brought tears to the eyes, and was remarkably moving and fun to watch. I cannot wait to see what his creative editing will do for our final wedding video considering that he created the instant replay in less than an hour!

When speaking to guests after the wedding, one of the first things they bring up is how amazing our video was.

If you are thinking about hiring Black Tie studios, I promise you will NOT be disappointed.

We first found Mike of Black tie Video at a friend's wedding when we were blown away by the "instant replay." We used instant replay at our where the picture montage is mixed in with video clips of that very day! For instance getting ready, a message from each of us to each other, parts of the ceremony etc. It is completely a wow factor! Everyone at our wedding could not believe what they are watching. During cocktail hour Mike edits the video together. He is outstanding and talk about talented!

Black tie did an unbelievable job of capturing our day. I must have watched our highlight at least a hundred times and can't believe how well put the video was!!! My husband and I love everything about our video and how they captured everything.

Mike did a great job. He was flexible. We only had him for 7 hours (ya, only right?) but by the time the parent dances and hora was around, and 7 hours had already passed; there wasn�t a question- he was staying and we would deal with the extra cost later. My father and I really appreciated it. He showed up on time and was easy to work with.
