Nothing but excellence!
Rich was amazing! His sound & light system was perfect for our venue, Rich was very receptive of our ideas and goals for music, pacing, for our wedding on 4/18/26. He asked pertinent questions about our expectations, some we didn’t even consider ourselves. He was also familiar with our venue, Moss Creek golf club, and had a good reputation with them. Amazing service, highly recommended, Black Tie Events!

Fantastic!
DJ Rich was phenomenal at my daughter's wedding in Hilton on 3/21/16! I cannot say enough good things. He listened to what we wanted and offered suggestions where we needed them. The dance floor was BUSY all night. The photo booth was a huge hit and the up lighting in the room was the perfect touch. Rich came and spoke to my husband and I several times throughout the evening to make sure we were happy. Thanks for a great evening, Rich - Memories for a lifetime!

Great experience and communication!
Rich did an amazing job at our wedding in Hilton Head! From the moment we hired him, his communication with us was fantastic. We never had any question that wasn't answered immediately. When it came to the wedding, we had a lot of people who didn't want to get on the dance floor but he played all the right songs and encouraged all the right people to get up and get the party started. The lighting he set up also made for the perfect atmosphere at our covered beach pavilion and it was so cool that it matched our wedding colors. People also had an amazing time at the photo booth and it was so fun to get copies of the photos to look back on. The cherry on top was the compilation of photos and videos that he took on his phone that he sent me the day after the wedding. Seeing our party from his perspective was so cool!!! Definitely recommend Rich's services!

5/31/2025 Wedding
Rich Leggit DJ'd our wedding on May 31, 2025, in Hilton Head Island, SC, and we're so thankful he was a part of our day. From the start, Rich was incredibly easy to work with--super responsive, organized, and flexible. He gave us everything we needed to be as involved (or not) in the music selection process as we wanted, which took a lot of pressure off (if I so desired lol).
One of the best parts was how easy Rich made it to manage song requests. We were able to collect requests from our guests ahead of time through the RSVP process, which helped us build a playlist of pre-approved songs that we were comfortable with for our child-friendly wedding. This also meant Rich could easily avoid anything we didn't want played--without us having to stress about it on the day of.
Rich also went the extra mile to work with us days before the big day. We were able to drop off a USB Drive with MP3's of custom covers recorded by my SIL and her husband to be played during the pre-ceremony seating music. Being capable of incorporating these personal details meant a lot to us.
During the reception, Rich found the perfect balance--he got guests out on the dance floor without ever being pushy or over-the-top. He kept the energy just right all evening long, which can be a tough line to walk as I have been to weddings where the DJ would be too over the top and sort of ruin the atmosphere. We had family travel from across the United States to celebrate with us and we wanted it to be easy for people to dance but also chat and catch up. Just a perfect balance for us, but know he clearly asks how involved we wanted him beforehand. So, if you like super involved he can absolutely do that too!
The app Black Tie Events promotes for organizing music wasn't the easiest and user friendly for me so we ultimately used Spotify to build out our playlist, and everything came together beautifully. I felt horrible getting our playlist to him at the last possible second (despite him providing everything we could have possibly needed well in advance), so I definitely spent a little extra time creating clearly titled playlists within our wedding folder to make it easier for him, but he was still extremely gracious working with us on a tighter deadline that gave him ample time to do what he needed to do to have everything set for our big day. For us, being able to create a specifically curated music experience made the night feel that much more "us" and ensured we had the vibes we wanted.
All around, we had a 10/10 experience and are so glad Rich was our DJ for our wedding!

Rich was absolutely amazing! He listened to everything we asked for and executed it perfectly. From the ceremony to the last dance, the music was exactly what we wanted and kept the energy going all night. He was professional, easy to work with, and really understood how to read the crowd. Unforgettable Wedding Experience!
We had the pleasure of working with Alex from the Black Tie Event’s team as our DJ for our wedding this past Saturday, and he was fantastic! From start to finish, Alex was incredibly professional and made sure to understand exactly what we wanted to hear. He really took the time to tailor the music to our tastes, creating the perfect atmosphere for our big day. Black Tie Events was an absolute pleasure to work with! They are so organized with their song planning process and I felt that was one extra thing I could cross of my list of things to worry about. Perfect Wedding DJ Choice
We had such a great experience working with Black Tie Events for our wedding this October! Rich was responsive, organized, and helpful throughout the planning process. Black Tie Events for your DJ
Rich was very easy to work with. The forms to complete prior to the wedding were easy to follow and let him know what our son and new daughter-in-law wanted for the ceremony & reception. Rich kept things flowing throughout the evening, playing great dance songs, getting guests to participate in songs, he did such a good job! He is friendly, personable and professional. He provided a microphone for the pastor for the ceremony so everyone could hear his words. It was an overall GREAT experience!!!! If anyone is looking for a great DJ, Rich is your guy! Flawless Experience, Perfect DJ
My wife and I can't stress enough the amazing job Black Tie Events provided for our Wedding on 6/18/2022. But we wanted to highlight our DJ, Rich, in particular. Rich was polite, professional, and most importantly, fun and energetic. My wife and I were honestly so stressed about choosing a set list for our wedding, but Rich was able to guide us and help make every situation, whether it be the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, or the reception, a flawless experience with a great selection of music. Rich took all of our suggestions and vibes we wanted for the wedding and crafted a killer setlist that created just the right mix of fast and slow dances, group dances, as well as crowd suggestions, all while keeping the night fast paced and flowing, encouraging the crowd to step away from their tables and onto the dance floor. Our guests are still texting us about the amazing night they had thanks to Rich and his great DJ'ing! Thank you for making a memorable night even more special!

Rich Leggit was an awesome DJ for our wedding! Rich himself was just the right mix of a professional and entertaining host as he guided the mood and energy of our reception with playful announcements and well-placed music. He spoke with us before hand to really get a feel for our style/personalites and he made some good recommendations that made the flow of the evening work better than originally planned. Also, Black Tie Events has a music app that really helped us search and categorize 95% of our wedding songs by ceremony, reception, cake cutting, etc. which was a huge convenience as we were able to sample and favorite a wide range of songs for each part of the wedding. Great experience!

Amazing, thoughful, and talented DJ
Rich with Black Tie Events was amazing. He was a very attentive and thoughtful DJ and I highly recommend him to anyone who is planning a wedding. He knew what he was doing and it was obvious that he loved his job, which added an extra special touch.
We had first met Rich at an open-house wedding event and were impressed with his service. We worked directly with him to choose out our music and develop the schedule of events. There were extra things we wanted to do, such as the Money Dance and the Shoe Game, which Rich was more than happy to accommodate. He arrived on time for our wedding and surprised us by setting up lights that matched the color of our wedding to light up his booth. Overall, he was a great DJ and I would use him again if the chance arose.

Rich and his team are amazing from start to finish! We were extremely late to our first meeting due to rain and traffic and Rich waited for us with a smile on his face. The follow-up meeting was well organized, quick, and answered all of our questions. We always got quick responses and they have a DJ app that made the playlist selection a breeze (and they could find anything else we wanted). Ross was our DJ the day of, and he was personable, interacted well with everyone, and made sure everyone was having a great time! They even made us a CD of the important music as a memento so we could remember our special day. We cannot recommend this team more for your big day!

He was very professional, on time, and prepared for all of our meetings leading up to the wedding. One of the main goals of my wedding was to have amazing music and a full dance floor. All I can say is Rich from Black Tie events more than met the goal. Rich Leggit did an amazing job at finding the perfect balance of getting everyone on the dance floor and appealing to everyone's music preferences. Black Tie Events were great to work with! Rich was an amazing DJ, our family and friends were on the dance floor all night long - even people who "don't dance"! Highly Recommend BTE!
As the parents of the Bride, we are incredibly pleased and happy that our daughter chose Black Tie Events to DJ her wedding at the Chattahoochee Country Club on 22 September 2018! The entire planning process was very simple and went very smoothly. We especially loved their flexibility with song selection. My daughter could be as involved as she wanted to be, and was confident that the DJ would take care of the rest. And He did! DJ Ross was phenomenal! The set-up was perfect, the song selection was perfect, the lights were perfect, his timing of events and flow were excellent, the cocktail hour and dinner music was very tasteful and appropriate, and best of all, the dance floor was PACKED the entire night…Ross was simply outstanding and he knocked it out of the park!

From the beginning black tie events has been amazing to work with. From their great customer service to their performance. We had them for our wedding and it was awesome. It is true what they say "the dj makes or breaks the event". Brett made our wedding! He was very receptive and accepted all requests we gave him. All our guest were all interactive and had a blast. Till this day, 8 days after the wedding, our guests keep calling and letting us know they had so much fun! We will definitely consider them again if we have a big event. The Black Tie team does an excellent job! Rich was great to work with during the planning phase - very responsive and helpful. On the day of, Brett was our DJ and he knocked it out of the park. He did a wonderful job making sure things flowed smoothly. Our dance floor was packed and guests of all ages had a fabulous time.

I used Black Tie Events for my wedding DJ, Rich and Tyler did a great job!
I was able to pick out all of my music using their DJ app, if it's not in their app - you can add it! I used a lot of Piano Guys songs for the pre-ceremony and everyone LOVED the guys walking down the aisle to Jurassic Park :)

Leading up to our wedding Rich with Black Tie Events was extremely helpful in coordinating all entertainment aspects of our wedding! They even have an app to make playlists for different parts of your big day and add personal favorites that you want to hear. Tyler was our DJ for our wedding and we LOVED him!! He made sure the provided sound system and mic for our officiant were perfect. But let’s talk about the reception, he had people dancing all night long and there wasn’t one song played that people didn’t like. He knows how to feel out the crowd and keep the party going! Black Tie Events did an outstanding job providing sound for all aspects of our wedding day from microphone for the officiant to music and announcements for the reception. The owner Rich Leggitt was easy to work with and our DJ for the day, Brett, was fantastic.
1) Music – Black Tie has a great selection of music to choose from for events and they worked with us to ensure that music for our special moments (bridal procession, first dance, etc.) was perfect. He was able to take our song list and provide all of the right music at the right moments.
2) Time Management – With all that happens in a wedding it would be easy to get behind schedule. Brett did a great job helping us manage the flow of the reception to ensure that announcements were made at the right times and that we wrapped up on time.
3) Reasonable Pricing – It is easy to see costs rapidly soar when planning a wedding so staying within budget is important. Black Tie Events pricing was reasonable and helped us to stay on budget.
I would very much recommend Black Tie Events for any future event needs.

Ross was the DJ for our wedding October 2017. He did an amazing job selecting songs I had added to our play list through BTE's app (awesome tool) in a way that kept everyone of varying adult ages dancing the whole night. He also did a great job as the MC, announcing our reception events. We had a smaller wedding (about 70 people) so I was worried it might be difficult to keep everyone's interest on the dance floor, but Ross made sure this was not the case and did a fantastic job. We had a blast, as did our guests. Working with BTE was a great experience. I had good communication through Rich, and everyone was professional, organized and kind. I would highly recommend! I couldn’t have imagined a better DJ for our wedding! We had the pleasure of working with Brett for our reception. We had a morning wedding with an early afternoon reception and I imagined very little dancing, but I was so wrong! He worked with my wedding director to decide that he shouldn’t stop playing music for the bouquet toss because the guests were having so much fun! He read the crowd so well and selected the perfect songs to get the party started and keep it going. We have used Black Tie for both of our daughter's weddings. The most recent was on October 27. Brett was great. He played a great variety of songs that had all generations on the dance floor. I danced so much my ankles hurt the next day! We are so thrilled we hired Black Tie for our ceremony and reception DJ. On the front end, we worked with Rich, who went through not only the music but the entire day as a whole. He made sure we understood step by step what DJ Brett would be doing to keep the entire evening on task. They are sure to document even the smallest details, such as whether your toast will be drink in hand or champagne. The ceremony is EXACTLY what we were hoping for. It started off with some of the older songs that all generations could love and dance to. And as the night got later, he kicked it up into an incredible party. I don't think my husband and I stopped singing and dancing all night. And same for our guests - The dance floor was completely packed at all times! We are so grateful for the amazing job they did and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a DJ!!!

We used Rich Leggitt for our oldest daughter's wedding 9 years ago and we were told by our guests it was the most fun wedding ever. We just used Rich again for our youngest daughter's wedding in May and again the most fun wedding. Rich has a very professional DJ voice which makes the bridal party intro fun and professional. He gets people on the dance floor by judging the mood of the crowd. The dance floor is 100% full for 100% of the night. Rich also made a little video of the night with photos and video he took as a wonderful surprise. Rich is the best DJ for your event. You will not have to worry about your choice. He will not disappoint.

I am so happy we went with Black Tie Events to DJ our April wedding. Brett Leggitt was our DJ and he is awesome. He was just the right amount of being involved as we had hoped for. He wasn't overbearing and he got things done. Also, he kept the dance floor moving all night!
BTE has forms to fill out that help with both the ceremony and reception planning. We filled those out and the categories of music that we'd like to have played. Brett did a great job of picking from that list and mixing in other songs that fit. I think there were people on the dance floor all night long, which is exactly what my husband and I wanted.
I highly recommend Black Tie Events for any occasion. Rich was incredibly pleasant and professional to deal with and he made sure we were in good hands with Brett. Thank you for being a part of our big day and for keeping the party going. Black Tie Events arranged an extraordinary playlist for our daughter’s wedding on November 19, 2016. All previous reviews were accurate, which is why my daughter chose BTE from the start. Their timelines were precise and included music for the ceremony as well as the reception. It was a perfect transition for the cocktail hour with light jazz which led to all first dances and then to an incredible selection for the entire evening. Even the wait staff said the event was one of the most fun receptions they ever worked. Everyone danced all night long and there was never any lull in the timing of music which created a truly fun atmosphere for the bridal party and all guests. BTE was very easy to plan the wedding music with from the beginning, kept in contact with us throughout the months before the wedding and worked carefully with the bride and groom to choose 'just the right music for them' before their special day. I would highly recommend Black Tie Events for your future wedding or any event!

I just had my wedding last weekend and hired Black Tie Events for my DJ services and up-lighting. I had such a great experience with them. I worked with Rich for all of my pre-event communications and contracting. He was very quick to respond and answer all of my questions. As for choosing my song list, it was seamless! They even have an app that you can download and listen to clips of music to help with your selection. Then you just send them your list via the app. It was so easy and way better than printing out lists to highlight and type back up. Way to stay current on technology. Love it!
My DJ for the night was Brett. He was fabulous! We were very specific with the type of music we wanted played, and he executed perfectly! He knew exactly what to play to get everyone out on the dance floor (including my grandparents)! It was so much fun. All my guests couldn't stop talking about how good the music was. The guest were able to request their own songs as well. The DJ was very ongoing, amazing and very professional... We definitely will work with them again. Rich was the best. I could not have asked for a better DJ. Everyone kept commenting on how much fun they were having. The music genres varied so greatly, that everyone was having a blast- even my 87 year old Uncle. Rich really had a way of getting everyone involved, and up and moving. People that never ever dance, were up and having a fabulous time. I gave him a ton of freedom to gauge what music to play- best idea ever. He is such a pro. The music selection was out of this world. I cannot tell you how thankful I am that he was such a huge part of our wedding!

My husband and I give Black Tie Events 5 out of 5 stars with no hesitation! We couldn't be happier with our choice of DJ. Rich responded to my emails quickly and ensured that his company provided exactly what we wanted in a DJ service. Brett, our DJ, was friendly, professional, and flexible, even when we made a music change minutes before our ceremony (oops!). He invited guests to make requests (we told him this was perfectly fine), and our guests were excited when their songs came on. He has a great presence on the mic and worked well with our day-of coordinator. We definitely recommend Black Tie Events.

Rich was our DJ and he was AMAZING!!! He played all the music we asked him to and did a great job selecting music that would get people out on the dance floor. Everyone from my wedding made comments about how good the DJ was. They are super easy to work with and give you a list of popular songs to choose from and things you need to pick specific songs for so it made it really easy. It was by far one of the most fun weddings and almost everyone was dancing a majority of the time. I have also been to other weddings where Black Tie Events was DJ-ing and they also were a blast.

We had Jorge on our wedding day and my husband and I could not have been more impressed! The owner Rich had been in contact with us along the way and was extremely detail oriented to my sure that everything was perfect on our wedding day and it was! Jorge is incredible at what he does! Our wedding was one big dance party and he had the dance floor packed the entire night! The transition of the songs was perfect and we had multiple compliments on the DJ throughout the night! They even gave us a CD at the end of the night with all of the special songs on it ( first dance, father/bride, mother/son, etc) which was unexpected and such a nice surprise! Jorge even managed to play one more song at the end even though we were out of time for my dad and I after my dad realized we hadn't gotten to "Nae nae" for everyone! I highly recommend using BTE for your wedding day if you want to have the most incredible dance party in town!

Black Tie events did a wonderful job at my wedding reception. My husband and I spent a lot of time picking out songs from their extensive list however when the actual wedding day rolled around, we asked our DJ to play whatever he had to so that everyone was having fun and dancing for the whole reception. He did just that and my guests still talk about how our wedding was one of the most fun events they've been to. He also perfectly excuted the songs for our wedding ceremony and entrance into the reception. We would highly recommend Black Tie Events!!!

These guys were the absolute BEST. We hired Black Tie Events to do the ceremony and reception music for our wedding, and I am so glad we did. The music was timed perfectly during our ceremony and the reception was so much fun. George stuck to the types of music we liked and also read the crowd to get things going. He also provided a microphone for our pastor and for the toasts. It could not have been a better experience!

We attended a wedding just a couple of weeks before my daughters wedding and the reception was beautiful but the entertainment was a flop. I have had countless people tell me how much fm they had. Rich with Black Tie Events was AWESONE. I would not hesitate to use him again and highly recomend him!!!

Rich, with Black Tie Events, came recommended to us through our wedding photographer. He did an exceptional job keeping the ceremony moving and getting the guests involved and having fun. He also provided ceremony sound for our outdoor wedding, which was invaluable. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the services Rich provided and would recommend him to anyone needing a DJ.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED Black Tie Events! Rich helped me with every detail going up to wedding day. Black Tie Events is so organized it they make you feel like every detail for your big day is covered! Jorge Morales was our DJ wedding day and I can't express what a great job he did! Every detail was perfect and he had the crowd dancing all night long!! I will recommend them over and over again. Booking my DJ through Black Tie Events was the best decision I ever made! They made everything so easy - and the forms I had to fill out for BTE really helped me plan my wedding as a whole. Plus, DJ Dylan Banks kept my guests on the dance floor the ENTIRE night - between the great 70's/80's music for the old(er) folks, and then the bumpin' 90's rap for the younger ones, it was the perfect night. And so much fun :) Thanks for everything Rich & Dylan, you guys are incredible, I'd recommend you to anyone!!

As a bride, you can let yourself go crazy with all the little details. Just make this one easy decision! Choose BT Events. My wedding was actually in Fort Myers , Florida. I had heard many wonderful reviews about BT Events so I decided to have them come to me.
Rich made the process so easy. He answered all of my questions, listened ( this is one of the things that my husband and I loved the most) he listened to what type of wedding we preferred and helped guide us through the process. I went on the website and started the process. The song selection is incredible!!! I did want a few songs that were not in the list and, yes, there was no problem with this. It was so easy! I just picked a few of our favorite songs in each category and that was it.
We had DJ Tyler! Very professional. What an awesome guy. He met with us the day before since it was in Fort Myers, went over final details of the wedding venue and the reception venue (we had two different locations - one for the wedding and another for the reception.)
I cannot express what an amazing job they did!!!! Setup at both venues were perfect. Our Priest had a lapel mic and a wireless mic was provided for those reading in our wedding. Music was the perfect tone for the wedding ceremony and everything went perfect!
Now let me talk about the reception!!!! Awesome. Awesome. Absolutely incredible!!! The music, lights and personal interaction with DJ Tyler was perfect. Our guests are still talking about how great the music was and how DJ Tyler was able to keep everyone dancing on the floor. It was a great night, great memories and thank you so much to DJ Tyler and Rich for making our wedding so special!!!! Words cannot express how grateful we both are!

Black Tie Events is absolutely wonderful and easy to work with! I would recommend them to everyone and booked them again in a heart beat. Rich was helpful and accommodating throughout the whole process and made sure that I didn't forget anything. Throughout the reception, the DJ was very attentive and professional. I know for a fact that my guests had the best night dancing.
