  Such a huge shoutout and thank you to Rick. We had hired another DJ through a friend of my parents when that DJ had an emergency three days before the wedding. Rick was given our wedding with no time to spare and pulled it off PERFECTLY.
  
  Music was my biggest worry at my wedding because my husband is Argentine and I was looking for the perfect blend of his music and the music I grew up with in the USA. I wanted the music to get all people on the dance floor no matter what country they were from. And with the last minute change, Rick made a point to come to our venue, meet with us, confirm everything we had set with the previous DJ and put our mind at ease. And what a party he threw!
  
  Rick was the MC and helped make sure everyone was where they needed to be which is no easy task with my in-laws and my parents. At times it was like herding cats but he did it with a smile. He also handled at least 5 different surprises from a flash mob, to a tango dance, to a Michael Jackson routine. He took all these things and made it work as one big amazing successful party.
  
  All of our guests from all over the world came up to us afterwards and mentioned how much fun they had and the dance floor was full the entire night. It was a truly international event!
  
  Thank you to Rick for taking what could have been a disaster and turning it into a better party than we had imagined!

  Rick from Black Tie Events was phenomenal and could not ask for a better DJ. Not only was our wedding fun but he ensured that we were on schedule and we had enough time for our Same Day Edit Video. Rick has a unique voice and he definitely made an impression on our guests and us as well. He was fun and he was professional at the same time. He accommodated the songs that we had requested and we were extremely satisfied with his work. We would recommend Black Tie Events to anyone that is looking for a DJ!

  Rick was an amazing DJ! He helped make our special day absolutely perfect. The reception went beautifully. Everyone was dancing and had a blast. The order that he does things is so perfect! We could not have asked for a better DJ/Emcee.

  We worked with Rick at Black Tie Events to DJ and emcee our wedding. He was so nice to work with! Honestly we walked in his office and said, "We don't even know what to ask. We want a nice mix of music for our event and someone who can feel out the crowd to keep them dancing." He walked us through exactly what he could do and how he asses the crowd to keep them happy. He got a feel for the music we like and don't like and built the perfect musical feel for our event. He was fantastic to wrk with as far as setting up the flow of the evening and special dances. After our first meeting he gave us paperwork so we could figure out what we wanted to include (father/daughter dance, bouquet toss, garter toss, etc.) and in what order to put things in. It really helped us get an idea as to what we wanted our event to feel like! We met with him again before the wedding to square up the details. He really put us at ease as to how our event would flow behind the scenes.
  
  The day of the event Rick ran everything perfectly! He set up a mic for our officiant and helped mic the guitarist for our ceremony. He emceed the reception beautifully and played a perfect mix of music for the cocktail hour, dinner and then dancing that set the perfect tone of fun and classic that we were hoping for! We highly recommend Rick and Black Tie Events!

  Our DJ had our guest dancing all night. Rick is very personable and got our guest going. My husband is Arabic and Rick was able to incorporate Arabic music into the reception. Even our non Arabic guests were having fun dancing. Rick also helps to create a wedding timeline of events which for me was great since I didn't know how to create one.

  I booked BTE simply from comparing reviews online, and could not have been happier with them! Rich was very professional to work with. He helped make the planning process very easy. I had two separate DJ's, one for the ceremony and one for the reception. They both did a great job and were exactly what we wanted for our wedding day events!

  Working with Rick at Black Tie Events was such a great experience! I came into his office not knowing where to start when it came to ceremony music, he took the time to answer all my questions and guided my husband and I in the right direction. The music for the ceremony and reception was perfect, everyone danced the night away!

  Rick knows how to get the party started and how to keep it going. He was extremely professional and great to work with. His assistant Kris is also a pleasure to work with and she makes you feel at home when you visit the office (she even gave me ice cream!). Rick also worked really well with my wedding planner and helped her coordinate the day of. Thanks Rick for making our wedding reception a night to remember!

  LOVED THEM! Rick was our DJ, he was funny and understood our laid back style towards the wedding. He played a great varity of music and everyone had a blast.

  Rick was extremely professional. He played all the music that we choose and more. Rick helped us with the process of choosing songs and made our ballroom look beautiful with his professional lighting. We met twice to discuss details and were very pleased with everything. He was also a great mc! I would recommend him for any wedding!

  I needed to be more specific in what I wanted played at the reception. There were too many songs for the older crowd and not enough for the younger crowd. It made the dance floor empty for a good part of the reception.

  I wish I had a better experience. I chose Black Tie Events because they were recommended by the Muckenthaler Mansion to work within the specific city noise constraints that exist there. I also chose them because I wanted a more elegant music experience, not a crazy dance party, and we felt Rick could deliver that when we met with him. Our reception ended up just okay, partly because I had given Rick a list of requests when I probably should have just left it up to his judgment, and partly because it was a tough crowd with many older/more reserved guests and some different cultures. It was also hard to get a prompt response from him in the weeks leading up to my wedding, which I didn't have a problem with from any other vendors. Also, he mispronounced our name during our entrance, even after writing it down and checking with us literally right before he announced us. It's a unique name and it happens, but still kind of disappointing. Overall, not bad but just okay..the only vendor that wasn't 5 stars for us.
