I highly recommend using Black Orchid! Gina did my hair and Emily did my makeup. My hair doesn’t usually stay curled well, so Gina was awesome with giving me suggestions and using products that helped my hair last on my wedding day! The trial was great because then she had the chance to work with my hair before the big day and suggest how to prep so it would be flawless. We went with a down style like I wanted and it was gorgeous and lasted the night! My makeup was absolutely beautiful and stayed on all night, too. Emily nailed it with bringing my vision to life! Marissa (hair) and Daya (makeup) did an amazing job, too, with some bridesmaids and my mom! I was able to work with four talented ladies and would recommend every one of them. Thank you, Gina, for providing the best glam squad! -

Great experience!
I couldn’t recommend Black Orchid Beauty more! Gina was professional and helpful in getting everything booked and explaining how everything worked. She set us up with Dani and Daya, who both did a fantastic job. I was nervous about makeup as I rarely wear it. Daya was super receptive to this and made me feel really comfortable. Dani was amazing to work with and made sure we were all extremely happy with our hair up until the very last moment. -

A lot of crazy and mishaps happened on my wedding day but my hair and makeup and that of my bridal party and mother was absolutely perfect!!! Everyone's look was beautiful, matching their taste, style, dress, and complexion. This was all thanks to the wonderful skill and hard work of our hair stylist Shannon and our makeup artist Daisy! Both were just excellent to work with, professional and kind, and able to understand each person's special request so that we all looked fantastic! -

Black Orchid Beauty was the best! Gina made scheduling and coordinating logistics extremely easy. Jasmine (hair) and Daisy (makeup) did a fantastic job on each person in the wedding party. I got compliments on both my hair and makeup all night and I felt so confident and beautiful. Would highly recommend their services for any wedding! -

Great experience!
We worked with Gina for hair and daisy for make up and I was very satisfied with both ladies! Everyone’s hair turned out gorgeous and nobody had any issues with pieces falling! Daisy did incredible on our make up. She did a great job elevating our look while not looking overly intense. Definitely would recommend them to anyone getting married in the MKE area! -

Dream team!
Gina and Anna were absolutely amazing on my wedding day! They were a true dream team! Gina did the makeup for my bridal party as well as my hair and my maid of honor's hair. I felt so beautiful and got so many compliments on my makeup the day of. My hair was beyond any expectations! I didn't think it could look any better after the trial but somehow Gina managed to make it absolutely perfect. Anna did the hairstyles for the rest of my bridesmaids. She did such a great job at listening to what everyone wanted and making their visions a reality. Anna also did the makeup for my mom. My mom was nervous to have her makeup done because she never wears any and didn't want to look different. Anna was so sweet and listened to my mom and just accentuated her natural beauty. Not only are Gina and Anna amazing at hair and makeup but they are both the sweetest humans. We had such a blast with them getting ready the morning of my wedding. -

All of the mothers and bridesmaids loved their make up and hair. The make up was natural looking but highlighted in photos without looking too overdone and everyone was able to get the hair they wanted! -

Nailed it!
Nothing but great things to say about working with Melissa for hair services on my wedding day. I was planning a wedding in Chicago, from Brooklyn, and ended up reaching out to Black Orchid after hearing about them even though they were based in Milwaukee. I wouldn't say I was the easiest client to work with trying to plan a 2nd long-distance wedding after having my original 2020 wedding plans crumble apart. I was also looking for a bit of a funkier, non-traditional wedding hair-style that could have easily gotten botched without the right stylist who understood what I was looking for and had the skills to do it. However, Melissa nailed it, and couldn't be happier that Gina knew to pair us up! Both Gina and Melissa were also very flexible and accommodating with the travel and scheduling my trial while I was in town for a short-visit before the wedding. -

My entire bridal party had an amazing time working with Gina & Shenna! Everyone's hair and makeup looked amazing, and the atmosphere when we were getting ready was professional yet still fun! Gina was awesome about helping provide inspiration for those of us who were not sure what we were looking for. She also was very friendly and patient about discussing possible options at my hair trial. Sheena did a great job on everyone's makeup. I knew I wanted my makeup to still look natural, and she did an amazing job! -

Very kind, wonderful job
Black Orchid did an amazing job for my wedding. I was going through cancer treatment at the time and they were very kind and made some safety/hygiene adjustments for me as I was high risk during the pandemic. Additionally, they helped make sure my eyebrows looked real and styled my wig in a way that people forgot that I have been sick! I'm so grateful for their expertise and support. Alise and Gina were lovely to work with! -

Absolutely incredible!
Black Orchid Beauty was great. This was such a great decision to make for our wedding. Gina organized on-site hair and make-up for myself, my bridal party, and my mom/mother-in-law. Melissa did hair and Daisy did make-up. They were both excellent. I did trials with them both prior to the wedding, and they were so receptive to what I was looking for. On the day of, they both arrived early, were very efficient, and created incredible looks for us. Everyone was so happy with how things turned out, and the convenience of having on-site hair/make-up cannot be overstated. Thank you!!

I booked Gina for hair and makeup almost a year before the wedding and went to her for regular cuts and colors before the big day. Leading up to the wedding she was super responsive and flexible. The day of, Gina and Shenna did the hair and makeup for me, my mom and my five bridesmaids and everyone looked STUNNING! She even took the time to touch up my maid of honor's hair before we headed out for the day. All of our hair and makeup didn't budge for hours. Gina is the best hair dresser I've had and I would highly recommend booking her for your big day! -

Gina (the owner) with Black Orchid Beauty made finding makeup artists for my wedding a breeze! Gina was quick to respond to my inquiry and was extremely communicative through it all! My two makeup artists, Bridget and Daya worked collaboratively with me and created stunning looks for myself and my bridal party (we all wanted natural with a hint of glam). Gina is also on top of scheduling to ensure your wedding day runs smoothly with a set timeline. I highly recommend using Black Orchid Beauty for your wedding day! -
