Jamie with Black Mountain Beats went above and beyond for our wedding! He was the PERFECT addition to our big day!! After having to reschedule due to Hurricane Helene, we were excited that he would still be able to DJ our wedding. He is a fun guy who keeps the planning process low stress by having you fill out a questionnaire with your music style and will even incorporate songs or playlists you provide! We had an intimate wedding with only 25 guests and he was able to get everyone on the dance floor and keep it full all night long. We highly recommend having DJ Munn at your wedding!! -

Jamie was such as great DJ for our wedding! You won’t be disappointed. We can’t recommend Jamie highly enough. He literally ran from our ceremony site to the reception site up the hill with speakers on his back in the summer heat to get set up promptly. He played all of our “must play” songs during the dance party and filled out the rest with a great playlist he built around the types of music we listed as our favorites. He also led line dances on our dance floor to get our guests engaged and having fun. A total natural behind the microphone, Jamie kept the vibe light and fun when he introduced the wedding party, announced transitions, etc. He was super flexible too: setting up multiple sites with the PA system and creating custom cuts of the ceremony songs to keep the timings just right. Super easy to work with and nailed all the key priorities that we were hoping for in a DJ. -

From our first meeting in a local coffee shop to the day-of, we knew Jamie would make our reception a blast. He made the entire process simple and was always there to answer any questions and make changes. Day-of, Jamie was ready to go. He doesn't "hide" behind the DJ stand, but gets out and engages with everyone to keep the party going. We are so grateful for Jamie's help in making our day go so well. We highly recommend! -

Professional and Brought Great Energy
Jamie was great! He kept the energy up when it needed to be and had a great set up and song choices to get everyone involved. Listened to our requests of who to allow to request songs and who to not. Played songs appropriate for the setting and no corny line dance stuff (which we asked him to not play). He was punctual, professional, kind, and very, very easy to work with. Very happy with our experience with him and would recommend him to anyone planning a wedding or event. -

I cannot say enough great things about DJ Jamie. After interviewing several companies, I just knew Jamie was right for us based on his good vibes :) We planned our wedding from the DC area, so communication was really important to me and Jamie was very willing and patient to go through all the details of the schedule with us before our wedding. More importantly, he rocks as a DJ! Having a fun dance party was really important to me and there was never a time without people on the dance floor. He really kept the party going all evening and so many of our guests complimented his jams. So happy with how Jamie added to the best day of our lives- thanks again, Jamie! -

Excellent experience!
Jamie was great to work with. He met with us ahead of time to discuss the music, announcements, etc. and knew exactly what to recommend. His experience really helped to make our day more organized and flow nicely. His equipment is top notch so we were never concerned about technical glitches. Our wedding was outside and the sound was still great. He easily adjusted the volume to be just right. He really thinks of everything. He was very fun and engaged with our guests and got a lot of compliments. -

From start to finish, our experience with DJ Jamie was outstanding. Jamie met with us over beers months before our wedding to discuss our vision for the reception and broad thematic elements we wanted to include. Then as we got closer to the big day, we completed the information packet he requested to nail down the final details. Jamie followed up with us over the phone to confirm any remaining questions and--despite challenging circumstances beyond his control--his service the day of was impeccable. Our guests loved the music and had an amazing time. Value for money in the Asheville area, Jamie would be really tough to beat. We loved him and would recommend him to anyone hosting a big dance party or event. -

From our first conversation with Jamie, I knew he would be a great fit for our wedding DJ, and boy was I not disappointed. Jamie was EXCELLENT! The party kept going until we were essentially kicked out and he had the dancefloor popping the whole time. Just what we wanted for our wedding. He was a fantastic emcee, moving the night along effortlessly and even came up to introduce himself to us personally before the party got started. Jamie took song requests like a champ and he really was one of the main reasons we had such a fantastic night full of fun and dancing!!! I wish he would DJ every wedding I could attend from now on, 10/10 recommend! -

I cannot say enough good things about Black Mountain beats and Jamie aka DJ Munn. From our first meeting we knew we wanted tp have him DJ our wedding. The level of attention and the ease of working with him was such a relief. He was so friendly, quick to respond to all of my emails, and we had several phone calls leading up to the event.
At our event, Jamie was phenomenal! We had a huge dance party at our reception and Jamie was so great at feeding off of the energy of the crowd and he chose the perfect songs to play.
He also made sure to double check the pronunciations of each member of the wedding party’s name before their entrance into the reception, which I really appreciated!
Lastly, Jamie’s services are super affordable and such a great value for the price.
So many of our guests are still talking about how much fun they had at the reception, and several of my engaged friends asked for his contact information for their weddings!
Do yourself a favor and go with Black Mountain Beats for your event, you will NOT regret it!

Jamie was great to work with! He's super personable and passionate about delivering a high quality experience. The ceremony sound was fantastic. His emceeing was personal and energetic, and he worked with us to make sure our picky music tastes were satisfied while also keeping the dance floor moving all night. We are so grateful to have had Jamie as the DJ for our wedding! He was SO much fun and kept the party going all night long. We were able to submit song requests ahead of time and he made the PERFECT playlist from our requested genres. He was professional, fun, and super talented, and even joined in on the dancing. The best DJ!
Jamie did such a great job DJing our wedding! He kept the dance floor alive all night!! You could tell he loved doing what he was doing, and we had so many compliments from guests. Our favorite part was when he'd come join us on the dance floor; he even taught the crowd some line dances that we didn't know when songs first started. We highly, highly recommend him. He was early and had everything completely set up and ready to go. There was no microphone feedback issues, the music wasn't too loud or too quiet, everything went smoothly. He was professional and so fun!! -

Our original DJ backed out on us a month before our wedding. Jamie was able to accommodate us and was extremely responsive in planning everything via email since we were planning from out-of-state. We have received numerous compliments from guests on our song choices (this was all Jamie aside from the ceremony music, not us). He was able to satisfy my grandparents, middle-aged folks, and our friends. He even did a great job including music for the children. A month later and my 3-year-old niece still talks about the DJ playing Old Town Road just for her. We also appreciated that Jamie would get on the dance floor with our group to keep us on track for all of the line dances. If you are getting married in Western NC, this is your DJ! Bonus- he is super affordable! -

Jamie is a simply amazing DJ!!! He DJ'd for my sister's and my double wedding in Black Mountain, NC. We have somewhat odd taste in music and Jamie gave wonderful suggestions and was very accommodating. We performed a somewhat traditional Bavarian log cutting at the reception and Jamie did some DJ magic during the log cutting - it was a huge hit! He also enabled an awesome dance party and even brought some bonus strobe lights. We strongly recommended Black Mountain Beats!!! We had so much fun :) -

Professional, personalized, and pleasant!
Jamie was an amazing dj! From the initial planning meeting to the final reception send-off, he really focused on making the event all about us. He not only understood our style, but he had helpful suggestions to enhance our ideas. He was very professional, thorough, and organized. Jamie was willing to find any song we requested if he didn't already have it. And in addition to great music and logistical announcements that helped the flow, he even contributed party lights and some dance instruction for our guests! We had a perfect event, and we couldn't have done it without Jamie! -

Jamie was absolutely amazing! He was very professional and lots of fun! He had our group up and dancing, he danced the line dances with us, and danced with a couple of our guests! He even cleared some of our plates. Definitely went above and beyond
