I truly can’t recommend Bistro to Go highly enough. Their service is fantastic, and the food is PHENOMENAL!!! SO many people, including many older family and friends (because they’ve been to lots of weddings), told us that we had the best wedding food that they’ve ever had! Nikki is a dream to work with, and her team is wonderful, too. And the food will blow you away. -

Choosing Bistro To Go to cater our October 2024 wedding was one of the best decisions we made! The food was absolutely delicious; we can't stop thinking about it! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our day special. From start to finish, every interaction with Bistro to Go was extremely personal, making us feel like we deserved the best for our big day.
We had so much fun at our tasting, trying all the different options and crafting the perfect menu with their team. Our parents and grandparents came with us to our tasting too, which made the moment extra special. The day of our wedding, the setup looked incredible and the staff was very attentive. They checked in constantly, ensuring us and our guests had whatever we needed. Not to mention, they did an incredible job setting up our beautiful cookie table!

We had our wedding and used Bistro To Go for our big day. From the very beginning of just looking at all they have to offer on their menu, to the tastings, to the day of, to being sent home with my own personal pan of the best raviolis in the world, I could not have asked for better food and even better people to work with. We are so grateful for all that your team did for us every step of the way and can not thank you enough for everything. Weddings are a lot of work and so much planning, and your team made me feel so confident and cared for every step of the way. Communication was incredible, everything was so well thought out by your team, and we felt so supported and excited to eat all the delicious food. Even when I stopped to drop off the final check, all the staff there that day, despite not even being involved with our wedding specifically, were so kind and so excited for us. Truly, could not have imagined having such an amazing experience. All our guests raved about the food and were asking us if we had the recipes. Since the food was the most important part of our day, we appreciate how you all went above and beyond to make it perfect. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! -

Bistro to go is one of the most stress free and amazing vendors I have ever worked with. I am very Type A and tend to get lost in the details. Nikki was incredibly responsive, patient and so helpful. The entire team worked with the exact same standards. The food was incredible. I was so grateful for this team. They are unforgettable! -

By far, the biggest compliment we received about our wedding (and still continue to receive) was the food. Bistro to Go worked at Pinerock before, so they came highly recommended. Both of our families met downtown for a tasting about a year before the wedding, and we were blown away. We did no other tastings because we were so confident in their food and service. Nikki has created such an amazing company that truly feels like a family! The servers that worked our wedding were the absolute best. As mentioned above, it was the hottest day ever and those servers never let a guest’s glass of water run dry. They were CONSTANTLY checking on my husband and me throughout the evening. We chose a buffet style dinner with lots of hours d'orves and the most spectacular cheese and fruit display that I have ever seen. The lemon parm chicken, pierogies and kielbasa, and brie with this delicious caramel sauce were just a few of my personal favorites! -

Bistro to Go had an amazing spread for our wedding! The owner, Nikki, is quite a busy lady, but she does get involved in all of her inquiries. She took extensive notes on what kind of food we wanted and gave us suggestions on how to expand on the menu. The end result was amazing – we had German dishes and some options for the uninitiated. The catering team was swift and attentive – I could not have asked for better service! -

We can't say enough about Nikki and her team. Every last detail is thought of and every bite of food is delicious. We had a wonderful tasting and all the correspondence we needed to help create the perfect menu for our wedding. Each and every person we met at Bistro to Go was kind, caring, and attentive. Our wedding day was perfection from top to bottom. Our guests were bananas over all of the food and my husband and I didn't have to lift a single finger all evening. We delivered our cookies two days before the wedding and they created a beautiful table arrangement in addition to their wonderful cocktail hour charcuterie and antipasti creations. I couldn't even begin to recommend any other caterer in town! -

Bistro to go is the BEST caterer in Pittsburgh! They are the easiest to work with and their food is delicious! I was so excited we were able to use them for our November 2021 wedding. They let you know all the equipment you need to rent and meet with you plenty of times leading up to the big day. They also work to make sure everything is perfect. I am obsessed with Parks n Rec and had a sign for our cookie table "Treat Yo Self". Our day of manager, Jess, had a light up sign with this saying. She ran home to grab it for me! They're all seriously incredible, they went above and beyond for us. 10/10 recommend Bistro to Go! -

Our thanks to Nikki and staff for an absolutely fantastic meal for our wedding rehearsal dinner on 11/26/21. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Bistro through the entire process. I know that everyone is extremely busy but each time I talked with anyone at Bistro it was a genuinely enjoyable conversation and felt like I was the only person they were dealing with. Their responsiveness in emails was also excellent. The food arrived on time and the delivery person was very nice. The chicken parmesan was ridiculously good as was everything else. The portions were extremely generous and the price was very reasonable. I really appreciated Nikki working with me to tailor the menu to my small event which was also on a budget. Everyone at the dinner wanted to know where the food was from! A friend of mine is getting married next year and her venue has a choice of Bistro or another caterer. After I raved about our experience, I’m pretty sure she’s going to be using Bistro! -

My daughter's wedding was the first DIY and remote wedding in our family and I honestly didn't expect the amount of work, coordination and stress pulling off this type of wedding requires. Choosing a caterer is the most important decision because let's face it, food is the center of the reception! From the moment we choose BTG, I knew I could check it off my list and not have to think about it. You were helpful with choosing a menu and when you did the tasting your presentation of the food was gorgeous! We expected just a plate of food, but no...you went all out and showed us how the stations would be presented...just spectacular! Your staff and you were happy to answer the several questions I had as well as accommodating dietary restrictions for some of our guests. Then the big day arrived! Tim was our wedding person, he is fantastic! The entire staff from chef to bus persons were just incredible and SO VERY HELPFUL! And, they are just really nice and pleasant people! I received so many compliments on how wonderful the food was and how beautiful the presentation was. At the end of the night your staff really went above and beyond to help us pack up all that stuff we need to make the venue look lovely. I am so very grateful to you and your staff for making the wedding day perfect! If you were in Philly I would send everyone I know needing a caterer to you! -

Bistro to Go was absolutely amazing!! Nikki and her staff were so great and easy to work with from start to finish. They were more than willing to meet/jump on phone calls to discuss details/calm me down during the panic of covid-wedding planning!! Tim (day of manager/coordinator) was extremely helpful and personable-- he made sure we (bride and groom) got food and were relaxed and also ensured that everything ran smoothly. The guests were raving about the food, the exceptional staff and the quality service. Would absolutely highly recommend bistro for anyone looking for a wedding caterer (especially if you are considering doing stations--they NAIL IT!). -

Best caterer ever!
Bistro to Go was the easiest vendor for us to pick because we were so blown away by Nikki and her teams work ethic and their AMAZING food. We had a taste testing last year and my family and I felt like celebrities. Brandon was our server and made the experience so memorable. My dad is a foodie and could not stop talking about how delicious all the food was. We booked them the next day for our wedding! Our reception venue was at the Stables at Hartwood which is a new wedding venue. Nikki and her team came to multiple site visits to make sure everything would be perfect for our special day. We got married in September and our wedding guests are still talking about how awesome the food was. We ended up doing different stations at our reception which made everything flow great. I have dreams about their butternut squash ravioli because it is spectacular! Nikki really made us feel apart of the Bistro family and we are so thankful for her and her team! Thank you for making our wedding day PERFECT!!

Bistro to Go catered my daughter Kristen’s wedding on 8/6/2021. Nikki and her team are exceptional to work with and we highly recommend them. Not only is Nikki kind and gracious but has the biggest heart as we found out on every encounter with her.
Her team is extremely professional and we not only had many compliments on the food but how nice the staff was that day!!!

We loved BistroToGo so much that we booked them for both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding! Nikki is nothing short of amazing, as she is kind, responsive, and professional in all that she does. At our wedding, we received so many compliments on our yummy summer BBQ menu. People also could not stop raving about the quality customer service that the BistroToGo staff provided. All I can say is wow. Nikki and her team are absolute rockstars and through 3 years of being engaged and 3 wedding dates (due to Covid) - this team made every transition and obstacle run as smooth as could be. To be honest, we were blown away the very first day when we met Nikki and the Bistro team for our tasting. The food was unbelievable and the service was top notch. Two weeks later and we're still getting compliments on the food. Her team also handled everything so professionally that it made all of the planning (and replanning) much less stressful knowing we had them on our side. They were accommodating and just some of the nicest people we've ever met. I've had other friends who have used Bistro To Go for their special events and the first thing every one says is "Bistro is the best". I can't recommend them enough!! -

Nikki and her team at Bistro To Go are AMAZING! Look no further!
Like many other 2020 couples, our wedding plans were constantly being changed and altered due to the COVID pandemic. Nikki and her team remained highly professional, supportive, flexible, and an absolute pleasure to work with. And the food was out of this world good!!!
The day before our wedding, our venue cancelled on us. Nikki and her team very quickly rallied around us to pivot to a reception in our home and executed at the highest level. We opted for food stations with a blend of our Pittsburgh & Florida backgrounds. Nikki and her team of chefs worked with us and create a unique and creative food experience including our guests favorite - the Pittsburgh Paella! Within a matter of days of our wedding, our finalized contract of 106 guests dropped to 40. Bistro saved our excess food and allowed us to pick up the next day hot & fresh to continue to share with our out of town guests.
In addition to the food being so delicious, the over the top presentations were my absolute favorite. Our guests are still talking about the entire food experience.

We had to drastically change our original wedding plans due to COVID, and she was there every step of the way to guide us through the process of constantly changing plans. Nikki is willing to work with your budget and has so many options to meet your needs. Our food was delicious and was exactly what we expected after our tasting! Nikki helped create an amazing wedding in my backyard after we had to downsize my daughter’s wedding. I thought we would have to settle for something far less special than our original plan. I was very wrong. Bistro to Go took care of every detail from the start. We had numerous discussions, an amazing tasting experience, a site visit, and a full service wait staff on the wedding day. I had so many compliments about the food. We had amazing appetizers and three food stations that were all fabulous! They followed all Covid guidelines to make this a very safe event. Not only were Nikki and her Bistro to Go team incredibly easy to work with, their food was some of the best I’ve ever had! We had such a fun time with them from our tasting all the way through our wedding day. Nikki emailed back and forth with me on a regular basis as we updated and fine-tuned our meal selections for our big day, and she was VERY responsive (almost always same day, within a few hours!) An Amazing Caterer
I loved working with Nikki and Bistro to Go from the start. They are kind, down to earth, and really listen to what you want while considering your budget. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the wedding we originally planned because of COVID, and at that time we decided to move it to 2021. Nikki was kind and flexible with that change. After thinking on it for a few months my husband and I decided to go for this summer with just our close family members. Nikki went above and beyond to make our little wedding perfect. She threw together an amazing package for the smaller group with little notice. She also made me feel extremely important even though it was a way smaller event than we originally discussed. Not to mention the food was delicious! I highly recommend. -

Where do I even begin? My husband and I had a pretty turbulent wedding planning experience, to say the least. We got engaged in September of 2018. In January 2019, we scheduled our tasting at Bistro To Go per a friend's recommendation and enjoyed every minute of the evening - there were no questions asked when deciding on who we were going to hire to cater our wedding. In February 2019, we learned that our venue (Noah's Event Venue) went bankrupt, leaving us without a venue. It was actually through Bistro To Go that we learned about our venue's closure. Sarah was kind enough to call us to notify us. Nikki and her whole team were SO understanding and flexible with our contract...we could not have been more grateful for their kindness.
Fast forward to this year - Covid19 hit and we were stuck on what to do with our now 3rd attempt at having a wedding. We ended up having a very small, socially distant wedding ceremony at a nearby park. Bistro To Go was flexible in providing individually packaged meals for our guests to take home. Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent people. Thank you, Bistro To Go!!!! We are so grateful for you! 10000/10 stars!

Nikki and Brian came to the rescue less than two weeks before our wedding. Due to the virus we had a last minute switch up and ended up having a backyard celebration (not the original plan!). They were able to help us put together a budge friendly meal and food for all our guests just as we envisioned it! They even were able to do an ice cream bar! The display, service, and management were spot on and we could not have asked for more. The staff even stuck it through during a downpour of rain during set up and the first half of the event...it was not easy. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us pull this wedding reception together! We look forward to working with you in the future. -

I don’t even know how to put into words how amazing Nikki and her team are. From the tasting (which is an amazing display that would impress a king) to the day of the wedding, I couldn’t have been more impressed. We specifically chose a venue that would let us bring in our own caterer because there was no way I was paying a ton of money for just average food. Nikki asked for our dream menu then helped us trim back to match our budget without compromising our vision. Our guests still talk about the appetizers at our wedding. However, what really sold us is Nikki’s honestly. The caterer at my sisters wedding ran out of food (it was a plated meal and they even had several guests not show-nightmare!). Every caterer we interviewed just responded to that by saying “it will never happen.” Nikki instead told me about times when she was worried things might go wrong and what she did to fix or prevent it. I know things go wrong at weddings so to me it was more important that she could handle something going wrong than to claim it won’t happen. Spoiler alert-we didn’t even come close to running out :) (I included photos from the wedding as well as our tasting) -

Nikki came highly recommend for our wedding from Noah's Event Venue. From the first interaction, Nikki and her staff at the Bistro To Go made me feel like they had everything under control-and they did. She is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to weddings, so even when it didn't concern food, she was able to answer my questions and give suggestions. I cannot say enough good words about the way Nikki treated me and my now husband during the wedding planning and on the wedding day. Her food is out of this world and their service is so selfless. Not only did they make delicious food, but the display was breath taking. One of the staff members was a nurse and she helped my elderly grandfather with an extra set of hands to make him comfortable during the wedding. I have been to the cafe in Pittsburgh 3 times since meeting Nikki and each time I feel like I am visiting family. I would give more stars if I could! I would highly recommend The Bistro to Go-you will not be disappointed in the taste, quality, service or pricing. We absolutely love Nikki and wish all of our friends would use her to cater so we can keep experiencing this type of service and taste! -

Bistro to Go catered for my wedding on November 1, 2018. Not only was their food fantastic, but the staff were incredibly kind and flexible. Nikki was also great to work with and very understanding of all my questions and concerns. You could tell she loves her job and that she truly cares about you and your special occasion. The same goes to all the staff, as the head of the catering (I apologize I can't remember his name) had checked in on me to make sure that everything was okay and tasted fine which I highly appreciated. All the guests at my wedding absolutely loved the food and couldn't get enough of it!!! Everything looked and tasted amazing! I couldn't have been happier with the food. I 100% recommend Bistro to Go for a wedding or special occasion! -

We wanted a delicious spread of international vegetarian and vegan food with options for almost every other food allergy and diet need...and we got it! Everyone was so impressed by the food & we were so happy that they packed up leftovers for us to share & take home. Nikki was excited about making vegan food & adapting things to our needs & the entire staff was very nice and professional. I can't wait to use them again for a party or just go to their cafe! -

When my husband and I were planning our wedding, and we wanted to work with a caterer who would totally get our vision and build the menu of our dreams, Nikki took on the challenge -- and more! We wanted a Milwaukee-style cocktail hour with brats (even pretzel-wrapped and bacon-wrapped ones!) and tons of cheese.... DONE. We wanted a Brazilian dinner that featured different stations of food... DONE. They even plated a feast for my husband and I at our sweetheart table so that they made sure we actually ate when we came into the reception. This team was also instrumental in helping with the room flip that was done between the ceremony and the reception: DREAM TEAM. Nikki was incredible in bringing our vision to life and truly giving us the dream. I have recommended her to every single person who is planning their wedding, and I do not plan on stopping anytime soon. She is truly wonderful to work with, such a sweet woman, and her staff is incredible -- they were even dancing with us on the dance floor at the wedding! The event was held at the PPG Wintergarden which does not have kitchen on site and even with this, the food was amazing! The food was served family style to 220 guests. The food was delicious and was raved by all of the guests. Our menu included beef, chicken and salmon and Nikki's amazing butternut squash ravioli's - no one went home hungry! Nikki Heckman was wonderful to work with. She and her staff were attentive and great to work with.

The staffing minimum can be hard for small weddings but no one had to wait on anything so #worthit. -

Alicia Sent on 03/28/2017The food here is just amazing, I am still eating leftovers that were frozen during the honeymoon and it tastes just as good, I’m sad it’s almost all gone! Nikki was great to work with for our caterer, although at times she is not the most responsive but she made up for it in quality food and really caring about making our day special and working within our specific budget. She did a full tasting of all the food we were interested in for both of us and our parents without even talk of a contract or being hired. She truly let the food do the talking and it was a no brainer to go with Bistro to Go, especially since she guaranteed amazing food in our budget. Nikki was in contact more the closer we got to our date and she attended our final meeting with our venue to make sure we were all on the same page and happy with the menu. The day of the wedding we didn’t worry about anything, her team worked directly with the venue to set up everything and made sure everyone got food including the vendors! They were especially concerned with making sure we (the bride & groom) got to eat! Everyone was thoroughly impressed with the quality of cocktail hour food and the main buffet, we couldn’t be happier with them. They stayed until the end to help clean up everything and even took care of the tables even though they did not provide the linens. They were so professional and I love the food, I am already trying to think of something else to order there food for! -
