First off Bishop Farmstead is just beautiful. The barn has great aesthetic and is the perfect rustic venue. This is a great central location with so much beauty. The grounds are well kept and maintained by the Pinelands Preservation Alliance. PPA staff were courteous and a pleasure to speak with. We even stopped to chat with the people at the PPA crop share. JAM Catering staff were incredible. Danielle made every planning step simple easy and seamless. Danielle and the rest of the JAM staff went above and beyond to make our day perfect. As for the food and the cake, we still get compliments from our guests about how the meal was delicious and our guests enjoyed every bite. Definitely a must see venue. -

Picking a wedding venue and caterer are probably 2 of the biggest decisions you will make in your life. Luckily with Bishop Farmstead and Jam Catering you get a one stop shop that delivers. From day 1 when we inquired until the end of our event the staff was nothing short of phenomenal. Gina Borton was our event planner and she held our hand all of the way. If I emailed or texted a question or concern, I would have responses so timely, sometimes in the middle of then night! When the big day finally came Gina and the assistant coordinator Kayla had us running like clockwork. I truly cannot thank them enough for making the biggest day in me and wife’s lives so stress free and seamless.
The process of planning a wedding can be daunting but when you can literally have your ceremony and reception at the same venue in different areas its a lot less stressful. JAM catering and Bishop Farmstead is really a good match that will leave you nothing short of amazed. -

We had a fantastic experience planning our wedding with JAM at Bishop Farmstead! From the beginning, they made us feel so comfortable and took care of all the little details that we didn't even think to ask about. Throughout the day, Gina and Julia and all the JAM staff made sure that not only we were having a good time, but also that all the guests were enjoying themselves. We had the absolute best experience working with JAM for our June 6th wedding at Bishop Farmstead! From start to finish, everything was seamless, stress-free, and so thoughtfully curated. Every detail felt personalized to us as a couple, and it was clear how much care and intention went into bringing our vision to life.
A huge shoutout to our wedding coordinator, Erika — she was truly the glue that held everything together! Her incredible attention to detail, calm presence, and open communication made the entire process feel easy and even enjoyable. We trusted her completely, and she delivered above and beyond.
A month later, our guests are still raving about our wedding — and we owe so much of that to the JAM team. We couldn’t be more grateful! -

If you are looking for the perfect indoor and outdoor experience with a wow factor included... Look no further! Bishop offers a beautiful outdoor ceremony space, tented cocktail area and magnificent (and I do mean magically magnificent) upstairs barn dining area complete with farm tables! From first walk through to planning and day of coordination, it was an experience like no other (and I used to work as a planner for 11 years). Gina and her assistant Kayla made the entire process so easy. She put my wife and I at ease as we navigated the paperwork and details. She offered suggestions and really helped our vision for the perfect day come true. I was able to trust that she would treat my dream as her own and make it a reality. And when the hours were late and I had a questions or worries, she was right there with a "don't worry, it will be ok" and answered me within minutes to reassure me that it was being handled or offer solutions. Both her and Kayla on the day were top tier helping to set up tables such as our family photos, making it look absolutely beautiful. The food... Phenomenal!! Our families are still raving about the food quality and presentation. Shout out to the tomahawk steak chef and the Bennet station chef!! Guests were thoroughly impressed. And even at the end of the evening, Gina letting my bride borrow her slides so she could walk to the car quickly! Just so sweet! Food AMAZING, staff incredibly professional and fabulous, a photographers dream to shoot at with so many garden areas, and our planer... Gina will always hold a special place in our heart! -

Excellent service and beautiful venue!! Even with it raining the day of, JAM’s event crew made everything so beautiful and the wedding of our dreams. The venue is stunning, and truly looked like a fairytale. Their service is so accommodating to any allergies, decor requests, and answers any questions you may have leading up to the day of! The food was delicious and our barn wedding was exactly what we hoped for and more. 10/10 recommend!! -

Where do I begin. From the very beginning this venue we knew was right for us. Not only was the atmosphere exactly what we wanted the staff and facility were outstanding. Gina Borton and Kayla’s professionalism and excellence made the day ideal. I could write all day about the little things they did to make our special day perfect. Gina was there no matter what we needed and Kayla made every special touch more special by pouring her heart and soul into my decor. She spent almost an hour arranging the special pieces of the puzzle that made our day perfect. Everything down to the little things like checking in on us every once in a while made our day truly the most unforgettable moment of our lives. I am not one to write reviews but I can not stop writing about how special this venue was to us because of the people that made it all come together. I’d recommend this venue very highly!!! Also the site coordinator who was working on the grounds who was also there that day was super sweet and friendly and made us feel welcomed always. -

Perfect day
Absolutely amazing! I got married at Bishop Farmstead on 9/16/23 and it was beyond perfect! My planner Gina and her assistant Kayla made sure every detail was spot on and the day flowed perfectly with zero hiccups. Gina was beyond helpful during the entire process (I can’t say I was the most organized bride lol) she made sure every detail was complete and everything came together beautifully. The food was amazing and the entire vibe of the day was perfect. So grateful for Gina and Kayla’s expertise in making it such a perfect day! Bishop farmstead itself is a hidden gem in South Jersey. My husband and I both grew up in the area and happened to stumble upon it while venue searching and it truly is such a beautiful venue guests couldn’t get over how stunning the loft was as well as the grounds it’s on. We had an absolutely perfect day and we would recommend Bishop Farmstead/JAM/gina&kayla to anyone! -

As my fiancé and I were looking at venues there were a few things that were very important to us, first being we didn't want a typical Jersey ballroom and secondly we didn't want to spend so much money that we were going to go broke over our wedding. When we got onto the property of bishop farmstead and stepped in to the barn, we both instantly looked at each other because we knew this was our place. My favorite part is that cocktail hour is held downstairs/outside and there is a "reveal" of the upstairs reception space. The wooden tables, Edison bulbs and ambiance are breathtaking. The event staff are so thorough and attentive to all of your questions. They break down the costs in simple terms and we didn't feel like we were being "tricked" into any hidden fees, or pressured to add anything on. They really try and make any idea you have possible. The food options are endless and you are able to attend a tasting to try everything (it was delicious and so fun). We are about 2 months out and I cannot wait to see it all come together for us. Bishop Farmstead has been a dream to work with. -

We had the wedding of our dreams on Sunday 8/20/23. We couldn't have picked a better place to get married. The venue was so beautiful, the gardens were gorgeous and the entire vibe was exactly what we imagined. Everyone who attended said that the food was the best food they've ever had at a wedding and I can't argue because it was spectacular.
I wouldn't be able to write this 5 star review if it wasn't for Gina our Wedding Designer, she is the only reason our day went as smoothly and as perfect as it did. She was so attentive and kind from the first time we spoke to her all the way up until the last minute of our wedding day. I can't thank her enough for all of the help and time she put into making our day perfect!! THANK YOU GINA!!! -

Bishop Farmstead - Hidden Gem!!
Soooo excited that we are able to get married here! The staff is so laid back and friendly - but also on top of their work and making sure every detail is covered! The barn is so beautiful and the grounds are breathtaking. It is also a plus that they partner with JAM catering for some delicious fresh food!! It is truly one of a kind and full of history. -

We are just thrilled that we chose this venue for our upcoming wedding! We were looking all over for a rustic barn setting, but none seemed to catch our eye until Bishop Farmstead. In person, this was the only venue we visited, and between what we saw, and the meeting with Danielle, our JAM event designer, we immediately pulled the trigger and booked our wedding here. Both the indoor and outdoor facilities are perfect for what we are looking for. The outdoor area is open and spacious; plenty of space to have lawn games or the like for our cocktail hour. The inside has two floors; the bottom floor can be used for additional cocktail hour space, but the upstairs Hayloft is the main focus: designated for the reception, which is beautiful. This venue can easily host our 120 guest wedding, and I cannot wait to see our vision come to life there! -

Bishop Farmstead was the first venue my fiance and I visited -- and the last! We fell in love with the beautiful hayloft and the meadow-like outdoor space and knew we need not look any further. I am the type of person that gets stressed very easily, and the fact that Bishop provides an event planner was music to my ears! Cake and catering is also included, and though we were initially nervous about not having a choice over catering, Jeffrey A. Miller catering definitely pulled through. At the group tasting we went to, the tomahawk steak and barbecue pulled pork in a jar were some of my favorites of the night. And though I am not vegan, the vegan meal and cake options were unfairly delicious! As brides, we already have enough on our plate (dress, jewelry, videographer, photographer, flowers, the list goes on); I love that Bishop handles so much of the big day, leaving me to focus on these other things! Our event planner, Gina, has been very responsive every time I've reached out to her, and I love that we will do a second venue tour before the wedding so she can understand my vision for decor and can help make it happen when our day comes. Pick Bishop -- you're in good hands! -

Farm to table and allergy friendly
My fiancé and I just had the pleasure of a group tasting at Aldie Mansion today! The catering was one of the major selling points when picking our venue, especially knowing that our wedding at Bishop Farmstead would be farm to table and that they could accommodate food allergies! They were so thoughtful with every detail of the process, and the event staff even told me what items to avoid for cocktail hour since I have a lot of food allergies. The cocktail hour was phenomenal. It was so lovely to meet and chat with Jeffery during cocktail hour! The food portions during the sit down tasting of entrees and desserts were much bigger than expected and so fresh and good. It was hard to pick a favorite! Can’t wait to plan our menus and for our big day! -

We got married last week 11/5/22. It was absolutely amazing! I knew the venue was going to be just what I wanted but I was blown away with everything. I'm getting married at Bishop Farmstead in a month! Jeffrey A. Miller catering is attached to the facility, and they focus on farm-to-table, fresh ingredients for their food. Sometimes it's picked right from their urban garden. The venue itself is fantastic, sitting on the Pineland Preserves in NJ. The Pinelands are all open for you to take pictures in, if you'd like.
Our experience dealing with JAM catering has been extremely positive. They are very quick to respond, and try their best to make everything about YOUR day, what you'd like to see. Definitely recommend JAM catering at Bishop Farmstead. -

From the time we booked with Bishop Farmstead to our anticipated wedding date, we've had less than 4 months to plan... which in theory is a very short and stressful timeframe. Our Event Coordinators onsite with Bishop Farmstead and with JAM caterers, who they work with exclusively, have made it a breeze though! They are super responsive and willing to answer any/all questions. They immediately scheduled us for a group tasting (which was AMAZING and such a fun date night experience). They also provided a list of preferred vendors they have worked with previously which they pre-screened based on our needs and availability -- booked my photographer and florist based on their recs! They also offer options to personalize your décor (choice of table settings and flatware) and offer extras (flameless candles, framed table numbers, romance package for the bride and groom's table) so there is way less to worry about on your own. They have kept us on track to make our day the most special it can be and I could not be happier with our choice! Also could not say enough about the delicious, farm to table food! -

Wedding of my dreams
How do I explain that this was a dream wedding and more than I ever hoped for. I can't help but to repeatedly watch videos and look at pics of my wedding day with a big goofy smile on my face. I started out fully intending to have a tiny wedding which grew to 155 people. This is big for me. I come from a family who believes they are all chefs and one thing I kept being told was "Hope the food is good". Most of my guests later told me that this is the best food they have ever had at a wedding. I already knew this though from the food taste testing. I remember looking around during dinner on the day of the wedding and everyone who ordered sea bass had empty plates and happy faces and all the lamb shank plates were reduced to bone. It was great seeing how much everyone enjoyed the food. Even my Mom finally said to me that the food was delicious. Another shining star of this wedding was my on-site coordinator Michele Kuhl. Every need I had was anticipated by her. She walked us through this whole wedding process, from making a seating chart, types of decor, table arrangements and types, EVERYTHING! No question was a stupid question. We were so lost in the beginning lol. Then on the day of the wedding she was saving me left and right. From always bringing my husband and I drinks (surprisingly as a bride & groom you can easily not eat or drink from being so busy greeting people and being overwhelmed) to solving issues. For example, I ordered a 360 camera booth, but two different companies came and both wanted to stay (one I was chatting with whom I finally told that I would not be using their services after all and another company I paid in full). She handled for the company I paid to stay, and had the other one leave (even though they were reluctant to do so) without me even having to get involved or stressed out. I also made my own flower decors that would be put in different locations throughout the venue. All I did was tell her where and they were placed perfectly!!. The space was already beautiful and then the decor helped make it personal! She is beyond amazing. She took my vision of my wedding day and turned it into a beautiful reality. I could go on and on about her but this review would be too long. I never EVER write reviews, but I had to this time about this wonderful venue, JAM catering, and Michele's assistance. -

My husband and I had our wedding at Bishop Farmstead almost two weeks ago, and we still haven't come down from the high of our wedding. From the food, to the wonderful staff, the beautiful venue, and the décor, everything was perfect! From the very beginning, JAM Catering company made the planning process easy, and had a variety of food options at different prices to help us choose a menu that met our needs. Our wedding coordinator, Veronica, was such a joy to work with. She listened to all of our ideas and dreams for wedding day, and then worked tirelessly to make that dream a reality. She really was our wedding fairy godmother! All of our friends and family still can't stop raving about how gorgeous the venue was, and how delicious all of the food tasted. Most importantly, all of the staff who worked on my wedding day, including Veronica and her assistant Joanne, made the day fun and completely stress-free. I will be recommending JAM Catering and Bishop Farmstead or any of their other venues to my friends who are getting married. -

Its almost been two months since our wedding and Im still REELING over how perfect every detail of the day turned out. I planned our wedding from out of state and booked Bishop Farmstead all through FaceTime - it was a risk but BOY was it the right choice. The venue itself is STUNNING and you really can add your own touch (go big with the cocktail hour stations - they are so much fun). Cant believe I’m admitting this but I cried when I finally saw the hayloft - theres something magical about it. Erika and Danielle truly are the DREAM TEAM and will go above and beyond to make any request happen. Not only do they help you every step of the way, but they also feel like wedding family by the time the big day arrives. I still am dreaming about the FOOD and Ive gotten messages from friends who are wishing they could go back (BBQ in a jar and our entree’s chimichurri sauce was a huge hit). 10/10 in every way. NO REGRETS. -

Our Perfect Day!!
My husband and I were so lucky to find Bishop Farmstead!! Everyone at our wedding agreed with us that yes, this place was PERFECT and couldn’t have been more us! Being able to have a beautiful barn summer wedding so close to home and so affordable really made our day and our wedding dreams come true! From the staff to the whole atmosphere of Bishop Farmstead we couldn’t have made a better choice to get married anywhere else!! -

My fiancé and I booked our wedding at the Bishop Farmstead for August 2020, but then when the Pandemic hit we needed to change our plans! Erika the wedding venue manager and the other Bishop Farmstead staff have gone above and beyond to communicate and take care of every detail to make sure that you, your guests, and the event staff will all be safe during the wedding, no matter what challenges may appear. A wedding is stressful enough! Good to know that we can trust the JAM staff to take the pandemic seriously and ensure the safety of all. They are also very responsive with their emails and keep all couples up to date with the regularly-changing New Jersey Covid protocols and other updates about the venue. I highly recommend this venue! -

We had our wedding here in September 2019.
The good: The venue was absolutely stunning. The garden, the barn, the field; everything is out of a fairy tale. We did the cocktail hour in the garden and all of our guests were raving about how beautiful it was. We will never forget how beautiful the light was as the sun was dropping. The cocktail hour food was perfect and everybody loved it. The barn was amazing with everything set up. It is impossible to take a bad picture here. The food by JAM catering was amazing. After our tasting we knew it would be great, and they certainly delivered amazing food. Meals came out quick. The free cocktail station with the Ambassador program was really nice.
The bad: This was their first year of weddings so we’ll give them some slack on growing pains. Throughout the planning process, it was sometimes pulling teeth to get answers from them. Erika the GM of Bishop Farmstead is so nice and pleasant to work with. That said, she seems to be disorganized and probably understaffed. In the planning phases she would forget things we decided on or forget to get us answers. We were trying to finish the planning as quickly as possible but we always seemed to be waiting on them. Day of, Erika and her staff were definitely overwhelmed. Despite a clear diagram on paper that the staff created, they set up our ceremony chairs wrong. With 30 minutes to go before people arrived, we had to tell them this isn’t what we agreed to and they needed to fix it. With all the staff fixing that, nobody from the venue was around to greet our buses when they arrived. Guests had no idea where to go and started wandering around while the wedding party was finishing up photos. It is noteworthy that the staff did get the chairs set up correctly and the ceremony was beautiful. No harm no foul I guess, but certainly a massive amount of anxiety right before we are about to get married. Once inside for the barn for the reception, it was hot (it was a hot day). We were told all week that the air would be on. When we got upstairs, all the windows were open. We asked repeatedly to close the windows and crank the air because people were hot and starting to congregate outside where it was cooler. We heard yes, no problem, right away each time – they never closed the windows and who knows if the air was on. Note that we had 150 people and things were tight. They sell the venue as a maximum of 200. We don’t see how that is possible, 150 is about the maximum in our opinion. There were other small things we weren’t happy about – bartenders pouring tiny drinks and a line at the bar all night, forgetting to move our lounge furniture adjacent to the barn so people could sit down outside, losing some items after the wedding we asked to be saved, it is a little annoying how the drop offs work for alcohol and decorations,
Overall: There is way more text in the bad than the good. However we would definitely get married here again. We certainly don’t mean to paint a picture that our day was a disaster. It was beautiful and amazing, there were just few things that went sideways and the planning portion leading up to the wedding could be arduous at times. If you go into things knowing you need to hold their hand a lot, things will be fine. We think a lot of the issues are just because this was their first season at this venue and they just got overwhelmed. Generally speaking everyone is very nice and I’m sure they will work out the kinks for future weddings. If you have some patience, the splendor of the venue and the grounds makes it totally worth it. -

Barn of My Dreams
I always dreamed of a barn wedding and was overjoyed when I found The Bishop Farmstead. It is the most beautiful barn you will ever find. My fiance and I are getting married and having our reception there in July of 2019. We first visited the barn back in January of this year and I knew immediately that it was perfect for us. Though the final renovations were not completed at that time, Erika, the general manager, gave us a tour of the venue and told us about all the renovations that were still being worked on. The reception space is amazing. I can't wait to see it with the new lighting that is being installed. The barn is air conditioned...yes...air conditioned! The farm tables are so pretty. The space is just so charming. I've seen drawings of what the outdoor ceremony site will look like and it is breathtaking. I was worried about getting married outdoors because of fear of rain and was thrilled to hear that they had a few different options for an indoor ceremony should the weather be bad.
The venue works exclusively with Jeffrey A. Miller Catering. I have had nothing but positive experiences with them so far. We have some special food needs and they have been very accommodating. We have our tasting this weekend I can't wait. Erika has been a delight to work with. She is quick in responding to any questions or concerns I have had. I know that our wedding is in good hands with her.
If you are looking for a barn venue, you simply must check out The Bishop Farmstead! You'll fall in love with it just as I have. My fiance and I can't wait to get married there this summer. I know that it will be amazing! -

Our experience at Bishop Farmstead with JAM Catering has been amazing. Danielle, our coordinator, is extremely responsive and knowledgeable -- people say wedding planning is stressful, but I truly have not experienced that thanks to the expert coordination by her.
We visted Bishop in the winter and while it was somewhat difficult to invision the beauty of the grounds in summer, I am so glad we trusted our instincts (and the seasonal photo book shared by Danielle). The grounds are now lush green and flowers are in full bloom, and I cannot WAIT for our August wedding!
The food at the JAM tasting was all very good, but knowing that some of the food served at our wedding will be sourced from the organic farm that Bishop Farmstead sits on makes me even more excited for the fresh, delicious food to be served on our wedding day.
Many farm or barn wedding venues give rustic vibes - to me, Bishop Farmstead is pure romance in a relaxed but elegant atmosphere. Highly recommend! -

Their barn's interior as a venue is especially beautiful due to its homely feel. The employees have been very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process, and they are centrally located for us having so much family in the Northeast while being in the more suburban setting we were looking for. I am still planning my wedding but I wanted to let other couples looking on wedding wire how wonderful they are to work with.
They are always available to talk, are very down to earth and a delight to work with.
I am in the business myself and had the pleasure of working there as an outside vendor one day. The way their staff interacts with one another is really lovely and they all work together as a team, and enjoy working!

We will be getting married at Bishop Farmstead in less than two weeks!! We have had such a great experience working with JAM catering and our event designer Gina. Gina has helped all of our dreams come true. We decided 6 weeks before our date that we wanted to add another vendor, a tattoo artist, and Gina checked with the venue and caterers and make sure that was ok! We are so excited with how our wedding is going to turn out. Gina has made this process so smooth for us and it really hasn't been to stressful. She is on top of every little detail so we don't have to be. We can't wait to get married on 11.11.23 and we want to thank Jeffrey A Miller Catering, The Pineland Preservation Alliance, and Gina for such a great experience!! -

Amazing experience with JAM Catering @ Bishop Farmstead
Amazing experience from beginning to finish with JAM catering for my wedding this past June at Bishop Farmstead (Southampton, NJ). My wedding coordinator was Erika, who was extremely hands on and guided me every step of the way! I felt so lucky to have had her, she made all of the planning feel easy, and the rehearsal/day-of a complete breeze. We got SO many compliments on the farm-to-table food, the staff, and the overall venue itself! It was truly beautiful and all very high quality. Highly recommend their team if you are in search of a wedding or event!

When we began looking at venues, the thing we wanted most was the ability to make the space our own without sacrificing an existing aesthetic. After touring Bishop Farmstead, we knew it was exactly what we were looking for. From the striking big red barn to the carefully curated (and natural) beauty, Bishop Farmstead is picture perfect! After booking, we primarily worked with Erika Borton to plan our event, but all of the staff that we encountered were helpful and so ready to answer any questions we had! Working with Jeffery A. Miller catering was also an amazing experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and just plain delicious. We are still getting so many compliments on both the food and the venue! Our event, from the food to the views (and resulting photos), was everything we dreamed of, and we would definitely recommend Bishop Farmstead for any special occasion!

My fiance and I are getting married at this venue in October 2022. We are so excited! This past weekend, we were able to attend a group tasting at our venue. It was so nice to see the space in action with a large crowd of people. From appetizers, food stations, entrees, cake, coffee and desserts we were stuffed. Wedding date 10/24/21
We decided to go with this venue back in sept of 2020. During our planning time we were dealing with one of the other coordinators. We were back and forth on SEVERAL occasions on whether or not we were going to cancel. This place is not cheap by any means and the services we were being provided had made the planning process one of the most miserable experiences. Lack of communication and accountability. Early oct Veronica had taken over our wedding and we were very relieved, in the short amount of time she had she made our wedding the absolute most. I wish so badly we would have had her from the very beginning.
I think it’s important to remember that the people putting together your wedding are human and will make mistakes and also can’t read your mind. Be vocal and go and look at how everything is before the start! -

My fiance volunteers for the Pinelands Preservation Alliance, whose headquarters happen to be here at the Farmstead. As soon as we got engaged, we were THRILLED to find out that the barn was being fixed up for weddings! We were even more excited when we found out that catering would be done through Jeffrey A Miller, JAM, as we have friends who are using them for their wedding and had nothing but wonderful things to say about them! The venue is so picturesque with gorgeous open space outside, and the barn is just stunning for the reception area. Working with Craig has been wonderful so far - he is responsive, open to our endless questions, and has been so supportive throughout the wedding planning process! Not to mention we already had our tasting and the food was impeccable. We can't wait to get married here in September of 2019!
