Amazing Photographer!
I can't recommend working with Alex enough. He did our engagement and wedding photos. He was quick to answer any questions we had. Amazing Camera & Great People!
So far our experience has been wonderful. Alex did our engagement photos last week and will get them to us by next week. He showed us a sneak peak on his camera and the quality is amazing. He is a bit pricey but the pictures are well worth it!! We live out of town and it was so easy to get in contact with him and book an engagement session. Pure perfection!
We had talked to a few photographers before Alex and Nina and we never felt like we had the 'right' connection with them. When we spoke to Alex, it just felt like the perfect fit. Being out of state, we didn't have a chance to meet him and Nina until the wedding day (!!) - risky on both ends. However, we couldn't have dreamed up a better experience and the photos are beyond stunning.
Neither of us wanted super posed pictures and neither of us are good at having our pictures taken (haha). Their documentary style way of capturing moments and ease to be around is something that I will forever be grateful for. We have a true and beautiful look at our wedding day through the photos and the video - both of what are beyond what I imagined.
Everything felt comfortable with Alex and Nina - from the initial call, the actual wedding day and wrangling of families for pictures, to building of the wedding album. They became fast friends with a wonderfully creative side to them who documented our special day perfectly.
We cannot say enough about our experience and our pictures. And we will be forever grateful for taking us on and being such a pleasure to be around and work with.

Highly recommended photographer
Alex was very easy to work with and delivered amazing results! We used Birch Tree for our engagement and wedding photos. We could not have been more happy with the results. Alex is affordable, efficient, and gave us exactly what we wanted from the most important days of our lives. His effort and personality made it seem like he was a part of our wedding from start to finish, not just "another vendor."

We couldn't have been happier having Alex capture all of these important moments in our life! He was incredibly easy to work with, and I will be recommending him to anyone looking for a photographer! Not only did we realize his talent so much during our big day but many, many people came up to us during the event to share "how much they loved our photographer" and his efforts! He is truly a pro and the pictures speak louder than these words. Working with Alex was a wonderfully unique experience. Living in California and organizing an Ohio wedding was difficult but communication was so easy. He made a deal with us to reimburse his usually included Engagement session considering a friend of ours had already shot it for us. And our photos...we cried...laughing. He is so good at capturing moments that just speak to the personalities of yourselves, your friends, your families. Thank you, Alex, for making our day something special and not getting too annoyed with us as we ignored your instructions. Amazing photographer!
We had the pleasure of working with Alex of Birch Tree Photography. He was easy to work with and made us feel at ease the whole time. He is an excellent photographer and captured our wedding day exactly how we wanted. We love how our photos look so natural and dramatic and show the beauty of our day (none of that overly saturated or too much of a faded/bokeh look). He showed up on time at all the different locations on our wedding day and captured all the details we wanted. Highly recommend Alex for any special moments you want to make last forever! We were initially drawn to Alex because of his editing style. The photos on his site aren’t overlaid with tons of filters, and they all look very natural - just what we wanted for our day! We met for coffee and hit it off quickly and knew we wanted him to photograph our big day! Alex was amazing to work with from start to finish. He gave direction when taking photos and offered a lot of advice which we very much appreciated. The weather during our engagement photo session was less than ideal with rain, but the photos came out so great! On our wedding day, he made us and our entire wedding party feel so comfortable which made the day go by so smoothly! My husband & I had such a wonderful experience working with Alex & his awesome assistants! I found Alex randomly on a wedding resale site on Facebook and I am so thankful that I did. There are so many photographers out there and you really don't know what you will get until it’s done. Alex has such a unique style that is both modern and classic. He is so talented and his eye for detail really shows in his work. He is a true professional. On top of his high quality he is reasonably priced. Finally, aside from quality, him and Nina are just really nice people. On your big day you need someone who is relaxed and can interact with guests to get the best photos. They excel at this. My favorite vendor from my wedding day!! Alex is super kind and willing to listen to your ideas. His skill level is superb. He and Nina bared a freezing cold day in Ohio City with us to get the perfect shots for our engagement shoot. I was just married on June 10th, and within days I saw a couple of photos posted on instagram. A real treat since I was not expecting anything for a couple of weeks and they were phenomenal! I just received my sneak peak with over 100 shots on Monday. Can you say awesome turnaround time. Those photos blew me away. I can't stop looking at them. Alex and his assistants are absolutely incredible. My wife and I hired him to do our engagement and wedding photos and we couldn't be happier. Alex is easily one of the most talented photographers in the business, but he is also really easy to work with. I'm definitely not a fan of getting in front of the camera, but Alex was really approachable and made the experience fun. Moreover, we were pretty particular about where we wanted our engagement photos (wanted snow, which never happened),but Alex was very accommodating with rescheduling. We got married on May 6th and Alex and his team were on point all day. They captured everything perfectly and the final product was exceptional. I shared the photos with some of my co-workers and many responded back saying "these are seriously the best wedding pictures I've ever seen" … and we got married in the rain! Alex was extremely professional at all times. He helped us plan out the shots, was efficient with time and got our pictures to us super fast. We price compared before selecting Alex and his price was lower than the competition and the quality is frankly 10x better than what we saw on other websites. He was so responsive throughout the wedding planning process and made sure we were getting what we expected from the photos. There are no words to describe how beautiful the pictures are.
