Bill is a JOY

Bill Hamilton is an artist and creative genius. We hired Bill a little over a year ago as our florist for our wedding and he did not disappoint! The florals were amazing, the rentals we got from him were fabulous and elegant, his decor plans were so creative and stunning, I just can't say enough about how wonderful it was to work with and get to know Bill. Bill was able to take my very vague idea of what I wanted our wedding to look like and turn it into a masterpiece. Bill really makes it a priority to get to know you on a personal level so that his work reflects who you are as a couple and I ended up feeling like we were great friends. Bill was so accommodating, he was always available to chat and made sure I got anything I asked for, even when I asked him for a big floral add-on just days before my wedding. If you're looking for a talented florist/designer with a shining personality, Bill is the right choice for you. I hope I get another chance to work with Bill in the future and I would hire him again in a heartbeat!

My daughter's wedding

Bill did an amazing job for my daughter's wedding. The first thing that Bill did was ask my daughter to tell her story so he could get a glimpse of who she was. He listened to her wishes and expectations while also giving helpful suggestions from his may years of experience. Bill kept us constantly in the loop and was very responsive. He worked seamlessly with our wedding planner. The bouquets, boutonnières, ceremony arrangements, and reception centerpieces were stunning yet understated which is exactly what the bride asked for. He added unexpected meaningful personal touches which meant so much to us. We could not have been more pleased. Bill is the ultimate professional and the most fun you will ever have working with a florist!!

Flowers at my Charleston, SC wedding

Bill did an amazing job with the flowers for my wedding! He made each piece so meaningful and thought was put into all the details! He did exactly what I wanted with all of the flowers and went above and beyond to make me happy. I highly recommend him to anyone for the floral design for the their wedding!

Bill is top notch when it comes to bringing your ideas to reality. He did all the floral for our daughter's wedding in Michigan, from the bridal bouquet too the centerpieces, he made a beautiful day PERFECT!!! Working with Bill was an absolute dream!! He went above and beyond to help create a wedding that I never could have dreamed of!! He incorporated so many small personal details and added unique touches that I have never seen before. I knew from day one that once we hired Bill there was nothing else I had to worry about for florals or decor. He is a true professional that puts every bit of his heart in soul into making every brides wedding day a fairy tale dream come true!!

My husband and I live in Michigan but had our destination wedding in Asheville, NC over Memorial Day weekend 2017. We literally met with Bill once in Michigan the fall before the wedding, and he created a fairytale perfect wedding for us, just out of that one meeting. It was like the flowers just magically appeared out of my dreams on my wedding day. My guests didn't stop talking about how beautiful it was! Our wedding was outside in the mountains, and I really didn't want to draw anyone's attention away from all the natural beauty around us. Bill did a fantastic job keeping everything subtle and elegant. I couldn't have asked for better!

As soon as my fiancé and I got engaged the first vendor we had on our must book list was Bill Hamilton Designs. We hired Bill and his team for our floral and day of planning needs and they exceeded every expectation we had. Bill sat with us on multiple meetings with vendors, venues, and answered our urgent calls and emails without an hesitation. Being a planner myself, I thought it would have been impossible for me to take a step back and allow myself to be a bride for the day of my wedding. I was so wrong. Bill and his team had everything covered, I honestly don't know how they did it! We got so many compliments on his floral designs, our unique reception, and the readiness of his staff.

Thank you Bill Hamilton Designs for making our day unforgettable. We will cherish the memories you gave us forever. You have our highest recommendation and are truly pros of the event industry.

My advice: Hire Bill & don't look back!! He really outdid himself with our wedding - from the amazing centerpieces he dreamed up (seriously, breathtaking) to making sure every detail was thought of, they made our dream wedding come to life. His team was on top of everything that day, making sure we & our family could enjoy every minute and not worry about any issues that may come up. He also connected us to awesome vendors for our other needs to make sure everything was perfect. Working with him was the best decision I made when planning our wedding!

Bill was recommended to us by our wedding planner and I couldn't be more glad about that. Bill was enthusiastic and a great observer. From the moment Bill meets you, he is getting a feel for your style and personality. Our first meeting, he asked a lot of questions about our personalities and vision for the wedding. He was able to see our home and also make style decisions based on this knowledge.

Bill was professional and timely. I did not have a great sense of what I wanted for flowers, but I knew a general sense of color. He took my random ideas and created a unique vision. I absolutely was blown away by the beauty of his floral design work. He also helped us choose tablecloths and other table decor to go along with our vibe. The room was incredibly beautiful from the centerpieces to the cake stands to the bouquets and boutonnieres. He was there the day-of helping to set up and make sure we had our flowers. I would definitely hire Bill in the future for more beautiful arrangements!

I had a vision in my mind for an intimate wedding and it came true. He was mindful of my budget and space and understood exactly what was needed to make my day beautiful. Great attention to detail even down to making sure I was aisle ready. A great vendor that I will be using for future events.

Bill was incredible to work with! From the first minute of my first appointment, he made me feel comfortable and valued. He asked such poignant questions that allowed him to get to know both me and my fiance, and from just learning about who we were as individuals and as a couple, he created the most beautiful floral displays for our wedding that really represented us. He worked with my budget and comforted me during my bridal meltdowns like a true friend. Bill is such a warm, genuine human being. I only wish I could plan another wedding so I could work with him again!

Bill Hamilton was one of our very favorite wedding vendors!! We could not have been happier with the floral arrangements he created for the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception- it was exactly what we had envisioned. He is very intuitive and truly gets to know you so that he can design exactly what you imagine. I loved that he wasn't afraid to challenge me to make sure everything was perfect. After our first meeting he found some inspirational images on Pinterest and I had bookmarked the same ones! He truly pays attention and has the ability to inject your personalities into the florals for you wedding day. Look no further for floral design, he's the one!

Bill Hamilton Design should be your only phone call when looking for a wedding planner. Bill and his amazing team took our vision and turned it into a reality - and then made it even more amazing than we could have imagined!! He is the ONLY planner in the midwest that would have gone to the great lengths he did for us (full service planning from the rehearsal dinner to the Sunday brunch and every meeting before the wedding). His ability to read your personality and comfort level is truly remarkable. I HIGHLY recommend Bill Hamilton Design for your wedding. He truly is AMAZING!!!!!!!

Bill is a bonafide genius with flowers and a joy to work with. My bridal bouquet was absolutely gorgeous and everything I had hoped it would be. He worked with me on my reception decor to make it something unique and different - I didn't want the reception to just look like something had thrown up "wedding flowers" all over the place and he delivered! I'd recommend Bill to anyone looking to hire a florist...and not just for weddings!

We were incredibly happy with the service from Bill Hamilton Designs. Bill sets himself apart from other florists/planners by taking the time to really get to know you and your likes/dislikes. Bill provided the perfect combination of honoring our wishes but also being creative when we couldn't make a decision or needed advice. He also has a positive and fun personality that made the planning process more enjoyable. Bill is beyond fantastic and a total creative genius. Not only did he take the time to get to know both me and my husband, he was a great listener and his flower arrangements were exactly what we had envisioned (except better). Initially, we didn't think it was possible for our "dreams to come true" with our budget, but Bill made it happen. He literally blew us away. The value we got was amazing.

Furthermore, while most florists just stick to the flowers, Bill was happy to take part in the entire design process, and came up with fabulous ideas that brought our event from beautiful to beautiful, amazing, and impressive. Lastly, Bill is an absolute pleasure to work with - definitely the most fun vendor we encountered. We feel so lucky to have worked with him. Bill had a huge hand in making our wedding the perfect day that it was. We love him!

Bill Hamilton was a delight to work with and he created a BEAUTIFUL atmosphere for my outdoor garden ceremony and tented reception at Meadow Brook Hall. I live out of state so most of our communication was done over the phone and email. I had some pretty specific ideas about the colors I wanted (and didn't want) and how I wanted things decorated and he was incredibly patient in working with me, even when I completely changed the centerpiece design two months before the wedding! He was always willing to talk over different options with me and did not hesitate to share his opinions and provide suggestions, which I really appreciated and trusted! Even though he assured me that it would not rain, (and then followed through on his promise, because we had perfect weather!) he came up with an indoor backup plan that I was happy with.

On the day of the wedding, he was personally on site before and after the reception and hand-delivered my gorgeous bouquet to me! Then he gave my husband and me a "sneak peak" of our tent before all of the guests arrived, and we were totally blown away. I am someone who over-planned every aspect of the wedding and had multiple diagrams drawn as to how I wanted everything designed, so I initially had a hard time handing over the reigns to someone else. But Bill came through and gave us an absolutely breathtaking tent, even more perfect than I could have imagined! Our guests continue to tell us that it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever attended.

Bill has a great personality and was so much fun to work with, and always provided a calming, rational presence when I started to freak out about the flowers. I am going to miss working with Bill!

Bill Hamilton is an artist and master in the area of floral design for weddings. He came out to our home and was full of enthusiasm and excitement. My son and his fiance didn't want a "ballroomy" look since it was an outdoor wedding on a farm, but they also hoped for a level of elegance. Bill was able to far exceed what any of us imagined. It was unique and absolutely stunning. I can't recommend him enough.

When Bill Hamilton told me that I would cry when I saw my bouquet, I didn't believe him. I'm not the most emotional woman in the world. However, when he presented it to me on my wedding day-I did. He took time to get to know me and my husband on a personal level and incorporated pieces of our personality into our decor. I've never seen someone tailor flowers and decor the way that Bill Hamilton and his staff did. Everything was perfect, and people kept telling me how beautiful it looked. They also worked within our budget to give us beauty for a price we could work with, which was very important. Anyone who is getting married in southeast Michigan should absolutely seek out Bill Hamilton Designs for their special occasion.

Bill is an incredible human being. This is the only review that I've truly clicked all fives with no questions asked. He really took the time to get to know us individually and as a couple. The bouquet he made for me honestly made me cry, the way he used all the colors I liked, the hemp twine, and incorporated something my grandma had crafted was beyond perfect. He was punctual and there is not a SINGLE thing I can say that was not absolutely stunning and perfect. Thanks a MILLION BILL!

Bill's passion for helping others achieve their dream shines through from the moment you meet him until the end of your event. His compassion and professionalism are second to none. Once we met with Bill he took over and created a design that was so beautiful and elegant. He incorporated my daughter's personality and flair into the decor. Bill was fabulous!!! From the moment we met him we knew he was the right one for the job! My husband & I had to re-plan our wedding in a very short time frame and had a limited budget. Bill assured us that he would do something beautiful for us no matter what our budget was. Bill was referred to us by both Meadowbrook Hall and our photographer Jeffrey Lewis Bennett. Both had raved about Bill's work, and with good reason! We gave Bill a color scheme, a few ideas on things we liked, but left the design/creating up to him. After he got an idea of who we were as people, and what our tastes were, he took it from there. It was an incredible relief not to have to think about the specifics of floral design at all. Bill is a professional, and we trusted that he would do something amazing. And he did! He even came with us to help us pick out our linens! If you choose Bill Hamilton Designs, you will not regret it!

Bill was bay far one of the best most comforting things in respects to our wedding. He got to know both of us as well as my family in order to decorate our venue accordingly. He has an amazing abiltly to tie things together and not let you overspend. He was just a joy to work with!

I loved Bill so much and we never even met. He created the absolute vision of what we had in mind, helped us work within our budget and was always willing to show us new ideas if we were unsure which direction we wanted to go. There were a couple of instances that an email would go unanswered or a question within an email wasn't answered and I'd have to follow up, but I think this happens sometimes when planning a wedding long distance. I live in Switzerland so we did everything via email. I was absolutely blown away by how beautiful and elegant our venue looked, inside and out. He really does work magic!

Bill did an amazing job on our daughter's wedding florals! Elegant, streamlined, beautiful. Exactly what our daughter was hoping for. He listened to what she was envisioning, he took the time to get to know my daughter and all of us so he could understand what she desired with the florals. He personally came to the wedding site months before the wedding to know the room layout and he also was there on wedding day to personally set up the tables.
