Best Wedding DJ!
Bill was the most fantastic DJ! We realized we lucked out when all of our other vendors told us “you have Bill? He’s the best!” Bill’s ratings and reviews speak for themselves, but not only are his clients happy, all the other vendors and venues he works with rave about his skills. It’s a great sign when other vendors are excited that someone is part of the team.
Our wedding planning process was extremely chaotic because I (the bride) was studying for the California Bar exam and my husband was living in a different country. Bill rolled with all the punches (of which there were many) and was extremely flexible and accommodating. His expertise kept the wedding going. We barely gave him any instruction (and at times, my husband and I gave him conflicting instructions), yet he kept the guests happy and entertained the entire time (our dance floor was packed from the moment it opened), letting my husband and me just focus on each other. We truly couldn’t have imagined a better DJ.
My advice – go with Bill! And trust his expertise! You have so much to think about, let him take the music and sound off your list. You won't be disappointed.

Book bill today!
My wife and I hired Bill because he had been the DJ for her brother’s wedding and boy are we glad he was available for our wedding day! From the time we booked Bill he was readily available for all of our inquiries. In addition, he had so many great suggestions for us in terms of the ceremony and the timing for everything during the reception.
When we met Bill the day of in person it felt like we were in the hands of a trusted friend. He kept the music and the evening going ever so smoothly. Picking pre set songs for the evening was so easy with the tools he provides. We’ll happily book Bill again for our vow renewals if he’s still doing his thing then! lol. Do not hesitate to book him if you want to alleviate the stress of a fantastic wedding reception! You and your guests will be treated to a special day/evening with Bill Calhoun!

Bill the DJ is the best choice in San Diego
We were looking for a different style of reception where the majority was more for conversation and socializing so we wanted light jazz and other soft background music and Bill had a perfect playlist. When it became time to turn up the dance tunes he crushed it with songs that got all those remaining out on the floor ranging in age from 9 to 73.
The microphone Bill used for our ceremony was amazing. Everyone said they could hear us even in the backrow and we didn't even feel like we were talking that loud.
Bill came highly recommended and we know why. He was awesome and we recommend him highly as well.

Bob’s 70th Birthday Bash
Bill Calhoun is one of the best DJs we have ever worked with. We have used his amazing services for many years and he never disappoints. He always works with us on the type of music we would like to hear and he is excellent at “reading the room” which results in the dance floor always bring a lively place to be. Best DJ experience
Bill was incredible to work with from planning to the day of and beyond. He was very communicative and his online music planning tools made it easy for us to let him know what our special songs were as well as our dancing requests. He helped me choose songs I wouldn’t have thought of on my own. His Ceremony microphone worked really well, everyone was able hear the entire Ceremony and the audio was captured nicely by my videographer. Bill kept the evening running smoothly by making all the announcements to let our guests know what was coming up next!
He played our music requests and mixed in his own choices - and there was a lot of fun dancing throughout the entire night. HIGHLY recommend Bill for all of your DJ needs!

Great Wedding DJ Experience
Bill was great to work with and very communicative.

We are so grateful to have had Bill Calhoun as our wedding DJ! From the moment we started planning, Bill was a dream to work with. He was super communicative, making sure all our music preferences were taken into account.
On our big day, he truly delivered! Bill played all our requested songs and kept the energy high throughout the night. His humor and personality added such a fun vibe to the reception, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved him—everyone was dancing and having a blast!
One of the standout moments was how flawlessly everything went. There were absolutely no sound issues during the ceremony, speeches, or dance party. Bill made everything feel seamless and professional.

Amazing DJ!
What a fun person to work with! Thank you so much, Bill, for providing such an amazing experience at our wedding. Bill has set up a format to make planning your playlist and setting up dances seamless, fun, and easy. We were able to choose “must play” songs, as well as putting in a few song requests for special shout-outs to specific people. We were also able to choose songs that we would like played but weren’t completely necessary if there wasn’t time. My husband was even able to set up a few secret music/song surprises for me. These were a few Serbian dance songs that are more difficult to find for the standard DJ, but he was able to make that happen for us. Thank you, Bill! The amazing thing about Bill is that he really understands your crowd, and really takes the time to learn your taste and the overall vibe of your wedding. He is very good at playing songs that completely fit, in the moment, almost as if he could tell what everyone would want to hear. This is an amazing gift, and we had absolutely no complaints about Bill. On a personal level, working with Bill, talking with Bill, is simple as he is definitely a people person. He made the process easy, which was a relief because planning a wedding is a LOT of work! We appreciated his honesty, his positivity, his professionalism, and his way of working a crowd. Amazing DJ/MC
Bill was the best DJ and MC we could have asked for. He made sure the whole event ran smoothly and then was the best DJ for the reception. He was great at reading the crowd and we were shocked that almost everyone at the wedding danced for the whole night. We even had family members say they danced more at our wedding than at their own. 10 out of 5 stars! I am so grateful to have met Bill Calhoun at a mutual wedding we both worked at previously; I knew I had to hire him for my daughter's wedding on October 12th, 2023. There isn’t a single thing I would have had Bill do differently for our family's celebration. All of our guests continue to provide rave reviews and tell us our wedding reception was the best they’ve ever been to! Bill played a huge role in making my daughter's wedding the perfect celebration as the MC and by curating a playlist that kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night, including some of our older relatives that haven’t been on a dance floor in decades. It was clear from my first time meeting Bill that he has a passion for his craft. Throughout the entire process he was very professional and provided a lot of useful feedback on details we didn’t even consider. We didn’t have very many specifics regarding the reception music, so we just gave him some loose guidelines and a lot of flexibility. He blew away our expectations! He played some of the best music from the late 50’s through today. My daughter is more a fan of rock music, which a lot of people don’t always appreciate, but Bill was able to find a lot of the high energy rock songs that brought a lot of people out onto the dance floor. Throughout the entire evening we had guests coming up to tell us how awesome the music was and how much fun they were having. A lot of guests are telling us a week after the wedding that they were still recovering because they couldn’t remember the last time they danced that much in a single night. If the party didn’t have to end at 10pm, I think everyone could have easily gone another hour or two. Bill truly made our night unforgettable and I cannot emphasize how polite, nice and accommodating he is. He made us feel SO comfortable and confident that we were going to have the best night of our life and we sure did! Had our wedding and had Bill do the DJing at The Old Rancho in San Diego. Everything went perfectly, and it was the best night of our life. Everything from the ceremony, to toasts, to dancing went off without a hitch. We had some last minute changes due to a bridesmaid being sick, and Bill accommodated changes day of. Fun, experienced DJ
We had such a great experience with Bill as our DJ for our wedding! He was so organized from our first meeting, using a web tool to collect our preferences and requests for the ceremony and reception music and was very respectful of these preferences. During our ceremony, he provided a low-standing microphone for us 2 and our officiant, which was very important to me since we had many hard-of-hearing guests. He was full of energy and smoothly facilitated the events of our reception. Overall, he did a wonderful job, and we would absolutely recommend him to others.

A brilliant DJ who helped us make magic!
Bill is fantastic, a real professional who makes the entire process of choosing your theme and energy easy and streamlined. He gave us a link to a site where we could choose multiple must-plays, play-if-possibles, do-not-plays, and specific timed songs (such as first dance, cake cutting etc) and he caters his playlist to match what you’ve chosen really well! For example, we specifically requested no Ed Sheeran or very recent radio hits and instead expressed our love for 80s New Romantics, 90s and 2000s pop and California rock and he delivered banger after banger all night even when he was playing songs I hadn’t specifically requested! He fit in everything we asked for, including some more offbeat songs like Temporary Secretary and Eat It (Weird Al), and did so with such a warm humour and friendliness that we couldn’t have been happier with the energy he brought. People were on the dance floor all night (especially me!) and he even took some great photos and videos for us which was unexpected and delightful! All in all he was wonderful and I’m so glad he was recommended to us by our wonderful venue host, Lindy at Quail Haven Farm. Thank you Bill!

We were referred to Bill by a friend and then we did our research and read his reviews. We set up a phone interview and he sounded great (and his price was very good). We hired him and Bill did a wonderful job. He has a great online music planning area. Bill was also helpful with a sample timeline that we could work from. Great DJ for events large and small!!
My wedding was planned for August 2020 with a large venue, which highly recommended Bill Calhoun as a DJ. When the pandemic hit I obviously was not able to go through with the original plan. We ended up having a small backyard wedding and had to cancel many of our vendors. When it came to Bill he was so flexible and accommodating that we decided to keep him as our DJ in this smaller setting, and we were so glad we did! Even with a group of 30 people, Bill was able to bring the energy and made the dance floor the place to be that night. Bill was friendly, professional, organized, and so easy to work with. My husband and I were so happy with his service and would definitely recommend him to anyone who needed a DJ.

We got married during COVID. We had to scale our wedding down form 150 people to only 18 people. We couldn’t use our originally planned venue... We had to get married outdoors at our home. You get the picture, plans changed drastically from everything we had originally planned to do. Bill was flexible and incredibly accommodating. He made everything work with no fuss on our part and he worked well with our other vendors who also were under a lot of pressure to “make it work”. Despite the fact that we had a small wedding, we still wanted it to be a nice affair. Bill had very tasteful music selections that added to our ambiance and really set the right tone for our reception dinner. He also picked tunes that kept the evening lively despite the COVID restrictions. Truth: I am divorced, so this was my second wedding. I can tell you from experience he is incredibly reasonably priced. I wasn’t necessarily bargain hunting when I found him. I learned from my past wedding experience that if you want to avoid your wedding reception being reduced to a rodeo auction or a cheesy scene from the dating game it is important to have a decent DJ, that generally entails a hefty price tag... I was told by other vendors he is the best and easy to work with. I assumed a certain price tag would be associated with such rave reviews, but Bill is priced exceptionally low considering his services and skills. Go with Bill and you won’t be disappointed. Awesome Party Time!
We asked Bill to DJ our Feb 2020 wedding and so glad we did! From start to finish, Bill was incredibly professional. His years of experience in the wedding industry was obvious from our first interactions with him. He went above and beyond and even helped us figure out our ceremony space set up (relevant to where he'd be). He creates clear guidelines for when and how to communicate ceremony, cocktail, and reception music in a user-friendly and organized manner. He played everything from our "required" list and navigated the evening well. We are grateful to Bill for being an awesome vendor!

We had the best reception with Bill as our DJ!
Bill came highly recommended to us when we were looking for wedding DJ. Honestly, our experience with him was perfect! I had heard horror stories from friends of DJs playing the wrong processional music and things like that. But we didn't have to worry about that at all with Bill! All of song choices were honored. He was very professional throughout this whole experience. He was also our MC and kept us on our timeline perfectly! He had a great sense of what songs to play and kept everyone out on the dance floor during our whole wedding. We got lots of compliments on his work after our wedding. Over a month later, I still have friends contacting me telling me they wish they could go to our wedding reception all over again. Bill's work as our DJ was instrumental in our wedding's success! DJ Bill = Wedding DJ Superhero!!
I am a wedding coordinator in San Diego. This past weekend, while working, I unfortunately had a DJ no-show on the couple's wedding day. I called Bill less than 24 hours prior to the wedding ceremony and miraculously he was not already booked. Without even hesitating, he said he would be there. We gave the other DJ the hours prior to ceremony to show up, but Bill was on stand by, ready to drive to the venue to preform for the wedding. When he arrived he was completely prepared as if he was working with the couple the entire planning process. Bill kept the dance floor full (like always!) and the couple was SO happy with his services! Bill was my first to call because he is my favorite DJ to work with. Not only is he a truly kind and loving human, but he is a phenomenal event DJ and MC. I cannot say one bad thing about Bill. THE DJ for Your Wedding
We had Dave Smith for our DJ and he was amazing! Our guests didn't leave the floor the whole night and it was so much fun. We had some accidental last minute dance floor changes during the reception and Dave seamlesly adjusted and our guests never noticed a thing. Bill was AMAZING. We were so lucky to find him. He was super helpful in explaining the process and what we needed to do. I had made a pretty extensive list of requests and he did such a great job playing them where appropriate! Also, he worked with a friend that we had play some live music for our ceremony to figure out how he could plug into Bill's system, how they would hand off the music, etc. - everything went seamlessly and it was so special for us. A True Professional
Bill was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. He started working with us six months before our wedding, when he gave us a timeline of what he needed from us and when. When we got closer to the event, he answered all of our questions and helped us choose the right songs and at the right tempos. His website was easy to use and really helped us think about how the music would affect our event.
During our event, he was instrumental in keeping things running smoothly. We had a large group, and DJ Bill helped us coordinate pictures, dinner, dancing, grand exit… everything. He worked incredibly well with our other vendors, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

There was a song for everyone and he got all of our guests to the dance floor at some point in the night :) Bill was so nice to meet with me before I decided on a DJ so that we could discuss the logistics and his method to coming up with the best playlist. Bill can provide a binder FULL of thank you notes and praises of his work - which really sold me because I could tell that his previous clients treasured his service at their wedding (and I would at mine). He worked with me to use some youtube clips of songs for certain parts of our wedding. Bill was also able to provide a mic on a stand for our ceremony site which was outdoors. Bill was always on point if we needed a quick change in music or tone during our reception. I appreciate him working in one of my favorite songs into the wedding although it did not seem to match the other songs, he made it fit in quite seamlessly! Thanks for a wonderful time, Bill!

Choosing a DJ for your wedding can be difficult, but once we met Bill, the decision was easy. What a great DJ. For our initial meeting he offered to meet us at a location halfway between us instead of having to drive all the way to him. He was extremely nice and enthusiastic, and his prices were very reasonable.
While preparing for the wedding, he was very responsive through email. Our wedding was Lord of the Rings themed, so we wanted to play a bunch of LOTR music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. It was really easy to get that all coordinated with Bill.
Since Bill had never DJ'd at our venue before, he happily drove the *3 hour* round trip journey to visit it before the wedding to make sure he knew where to set up and that everything would go smoothly. While there, he made a great recommendation to not put any tables in front of the DJ booth to prevent music being blasted through the guests sitting there.
The day of the wedding went perfectly. He played through all of our chosen songs, no problem. For the ceremony he set up a special microphone stand that picks up sound better than clip-ons and had no noise from wind. He also gave us some quick and helpful tips on cutting the cake.
During our first dance we surprised our guests with a choreographed sword fight. We had given Bill instructions to play particular music tracks for certain parts of the fight, and he did them all right on cue. We aren't big dancers, but found ourselves on the dance floor most of the night thanks to Bill's excellent song choices. He was also really great at taking requests and keeping everyone smiling and having fun.
I can't recommend Bill enough. If you are looking for a DJ, he is the one.

Bill was great! Traffic getting to my wedding was ASTONISHINGLY terrible, so about half my guests ended up being about 45 minutes late to the wedding. My husband's own sister and uncles missed the ceremony! My point is, my friend was supposed to sing at my ceremony for the recessional song, and he was so late he couldn't rehearse with my brother who was playing guitar. Bill was able to change at the drop of a hat and made sure everything went perfectly. During the reception I wished he had stopped saying "This next one is from the couple's request list" because I felt like it put a lot of pressure for my song choices to be good lol. He had slow response times during the weekends, but I understood because I'm sure he is working non stop then! Bill provided colorful lights for the dance floor, was extremely professional, and was able to explain what was coming up next to the bridal party and what they should do. He was great and I would recommend him to anyone. My wedding coordinators from my venue said "oh great! we love Bill" when I told them who I had chosen for my DJ. Excellent!

Bill Calhoun hands down made our wedding ceremony awesome. The quality and variety of music was great,......guests of all ages were dancing all night long. he made it easy on me, took every wish or suggestion and executed it perfectly. GREAT MC, you can leave everything in his hands and he delivers. He makes the whole timeline and request list very easy too, you can do it all online. he will meet with you or do a phone call (we live in Denver) as often as you need to make sure he gets what you want.
I was most concerned with music as I had been to some awesome weddings that were ruined by poor DJ's. this was very important to my husband and I that people were dancing all night to fun tunes from all the ages.....and that's exactly what we got. THANK YOU BILL, I Cannot recommend him highly enough.
Also---as a side note, Bill is very very cost-efficient, so he should meet most budgets.

My fiance was hesitant to hire a DJ - he thought we could just do it ourselves with an iPod. But having planned events before, I knew what a disaster that might have been! I convinced him we could find a DJ that wasn't going to run away with the music and play things we didn't like, and we found that DJ in Dave Smith, who Bill assigned to our wedding. Dave met with us before the wedding so we could feel comfortable with him and his style, and we liked him immediately. Bill had great tools for picking music, and my fiance and I just went through picking songs that we loved and made us happy - that was a great way to go, because every song made us smile throughout the wedding. Even though we had a daytime wedding, everyone was dancing - which proves how great Dave was! The music set the tone and everyone had a marvelous time, and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Bill was so quick to meet with us when our wedding planner contacted him. Very prompt and to the point, the price is great and he has worked with our venue so he knows all set up. He explained for the ceremony he has a mic that will pick up the sound all around but stay low enough to be out of our pictures. His website is also great to see how many music options are out there. I have used the top played list in all of the categories to choose so many of my songs. Our wedding is going to be a little unusual because there are a few different father/daughter/ and mother/son dances. He immediately said no problem and gave us our own request site so we can tell him exactly which songs we what for each moment and then the songs we know just want to hear for the night, or absolutely do not want to hear either. He also has enitre book of letters and thank you from so many people he has worked with and everyone has great things to say.

Bill did such a wonderful job at my wedding! He went over any questions we had before the wedding with us, even playing us different versions of songs to help me make my decision, very professional. I sent him so many song selections for different parts of the wedding and he played everything perfectly. As I was getting ready for the ceremony I could hear all my favorite songs being played as guests were being seated. That was a great feeling! During the ceremony all of the music was perfect!! I found myself thanking him several times during the event because I just felt like the music really sets the tone and everything he did was just right. During the introductions he announced all of our names correctly which wasn't an easy task. Each song I had picked for specific dances ended at the exact times I had requested. After the mother son and father daughter dance he knew exactly what to do to get everyone on the dance floor. I had a 90 person wedding and he kept the dance floor full the ENTIRE time. Everyone was dancing from the wedding party to the grandparents to the kids and all the men that "Don't Dance" they were all on the dance floor having a great time. I truly feel like the DJ plays a major role in the flow of the event and Bill Calhoun did a flawless job! So grateful I found him and had him as my DJ. I would choose him again and again!

We hired Bill for our wedding 10/11/14 and he was amazing! If you are party people, love to dance, and are looking for a DJ in San Diego then look no further. We met with Bill before the big day to chat about what we wanted for our party and boy did he deliver. He was also super quick to answer emails and phone calls. He even called to follow up with any questions he had to make sure he knew what we wanted. We had him for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and full reception. He also brought up-lights (for a small extra fee) to match our decor in the ballroom. We didn’t have very many special requests or do not play songs and he was able to get all the songs we requested for our processional, grand entrance, first dance, parent dances etc. He worked with us and our photographers (Cole Joseph Photography- You need to go book this amazing husband and wife duo, too! Cole and Amber Kelly, the coordinator at our venue the Catamaran Resort, were the ones to recommend Bill to us.) to come up with a timeline for our day. He took requests from our guests throughout the night and even stayed an extra half and hour and because the party was still going strong. The dance floor was filled all night long. We had such an incredible night and Bill helped to make it the perfect, happy celebration we were hoping for.

DJ Bill did a wonderful job at our wedding reception!! We were worried that the reception might be too quiet because it was a small wedding of only about 30 people. BUT there was nothing to worry about! He played all the music with the best timing, announced our names and led the reception (when to toast, when to cut the cake, etc...) He made everything so smooth, exciting, and perfect!!
He has a huge song list to choose from. Since I wasn't very sure what I wanted, the list helped so much. And of course he let us make a list of special requests from songs not included on the list, and he played a lot of them. He also played some songs that were not on the song list and they were great too!! Our guests had so much fun dancing around!! We were so glad we had him for our reception and we just can't thank him enough!!

DJ Dave Smith was our DJ for our 9/21/13 wedding at Loews in Coronado. Bill was already booked when we contact him in Dec 2012 but he assured us that Dave would be great - and he was! Dave is familiar with Loews which made it easy for all parties involved. Bill and Dave made it so easy to coordinate what songs we wanted for the wedding ceremony and it turned out perfect. I was able to walk down the aisle to the exact lyrics I had requested. During our cocktail hour, Dave played my favorite song - who gets to really enjoy any part of their own cocktail hour? I'm glad to say I did. For our reception, Dave emceed with just the right amount of fun and enthusiasm, and played all of our "must play" songs. He was great at feeling out the crowd to keep the dance floor packed all night. We couldn't be happier with how the music turned out!! Thanks, Dave!! P.S. We've attended 2 weddings that Bill DJ'ed and he was equally as amazing. So regardless of who you get, you won't be disappointed. Prices are incredibly reasonable too!

Best DJ ever!
Bill Calhoun was referred to me through a friend. I thought he was great at her wedding, but didn’t pay that close attention. When it was my reception, we wanted to make sure the music was perfect. My husband and I had gone through our own music to find songs we love and that would be relevant, but Bill worked his magic. He asked us smart questions about the type of music we wanted, and what the mood/feel of the event should be like. He asked about the ages of our guests to make sure there was a little something for everyone. He delivered. We had great energy at our event, with people on the dance floor until the party was shut down. People are still telling me how great the music was!
Bill was also great as an MC, making announcements and moving the evening along. He was very observant of the pace of the party and knew when to pick things up a bit. He also provided the up-lights at our event. These lights made our space just that much more dynamic, and Bill made it easy by taking it off our list. We had an unforgettable evening – and would highly recommend Bill Calhoun!

My husband and I chose Bill Calhoun Mobile Music as our DJ for our wedding. I researched a few DJ's and we met with two. However, I was referred to Bill by a friend at work and another friend of mine ended up booking with him after I did as well. We had a very long engagement (nearly two years) and booked early, so we were able to request that Bill personally DJ our wedding. We were very impressed with Bill. Not only is he very friendly and easy going, but he has a great voice and didn't seem like he'd be "cheesy" (which was one of the concerns my husband and I had about a wedding DJ). My husband is also a huge heavy metal fan so we wanted to make sure that he'd be ok playing all types of music, and he was. In addition, his price couldn't be beat! Since we did book so early, I had several questions throughout the process and Bill always responded to me quickly and answered all of my questions. He also met with us at the venue several months before the wedding as he had never been to that particular location. I thought it was really nice that he took the time do this so we could figure out where he'd need to set up and how everything would work. He does have a pretty extensive music list and he also allows you to add any music that you'd like to have, as long as you send them to him on a CD two weeks before your wedding. Bill did a great job on the day of our wedding. Everything went very smoothly and we couldn't have been happier. He also read the crowd well, kept the music going and kept the crowd happy . . . I couldn't believe the amount of people that were dancing and continued dancing all night! Bill is super nice, reliable, knowledgeable and friendly and he did a great job. If you are looking for a wedding DJ (or a DJ for any event), look no further! You will not be disappointed!

We hired DJ Bill for our wedding a few weeks ago and I could not have asked for anything more from him. He was exactly the type of DJ I wanted, someone who can read a crowd, get everyone involved, and not make the reception about them and their music. I would recommend him to any bride or event planner looking for a DJ.
When we initially met with Bill, he wrote out an entire timeline for our reception with his expertise on how long each part of the reception will take, how to make everything flow, how he will introduce everything. The timeline was exactly what I was looking for and so helpful for us in planning the reception. I also felt confident that I would not need to send him an entire list of songs I wanted. He provided me with some song ideas for the father daughter dance, etc. I sent him what I wanted for the special dances and a few ideas of other songs we liked and he took it from there. I got a lot of compliments from wedding guests that he was very friendly, took requests but did not seek them out and kept the party going. Stop looking and book DJ Bill.

Bill was a pleasure to work with. He did a great job getting people on the dance floor and managing the feeling and flow of the reception. He was with us the whole night to guide us into our "special moments" (ie: toasts, bouquet toss, etc.). He easily made last minute changes to our grand entrance, and he was able to accommodate all of our guests song requests! We were a little hesitant at first because Bill was remarkably less expensive than other area DJ's, but in the end His services are worth much more than he charges for them! Best DJ ever!

Bill was an old high school friend of mine who was also recommended to us by our caterer. They were so right! He had timelines down to a tee and kept the party going and everyone dancing the whole night. It was just amazing how everything flowed so nicely. His song choices were in the thousands and every age group was pleased and dancing the night away! Really made for a memorable wedding, and one that we recieve compliments on daily on how fun it was! Bill did an awesome job as the DJ at our wedding! He played music before our ceremony and during our cocktail hour and wedding reception. He was incredibly friendly and professional throughout and did a fabulous job of keeping the dance floor packed and happy! Our wedding had kids, twentysomethings, and lots of grandparents - he played a good mix of music that kept our wedding guests of all generations dancing!
He had lots of music to choose from, and we were able to give him a list of songs that weren’t listed already in his catalog that we wanted him to get for our wedding. During the reception, he even played songs off a couple of wedding guests' iphones, including a song my cousin had recorded! When my cousin starting singing along to the song he had recorded, Bill ran over with a mic so he could give an impromptu live performance!
Everyone had such a wonderful time at our reception, and so many of our guests said they loved the music! Thank you Bill!

Bill was able to adjust songs to encourage folks to get out onto the floor and dance; not all of our guests were willing to get on the floor but with some creativity he drew folks out. The majority of music we picked made it into the play list. He was willing to work with our "game" idea - we gave out ornaments for our gifts that were decorated in a certain way. Through the reading of clues, Bill drew in the crowd and excitement was had by all (especially those that won). We were lucky to get Bill himself and again, he was very engaging and professional in his deejaying throughout the evening.

Bill was awesome at our wedding! He was a lot of fun and very professional. My friends and I were dancing all night long! He provided us with a packet of songs to choose ones we would like played. It was very helpful to get ideas for songs. I pick some songs but left most of it it him. With the few choices I made he was able to get guests off their feet and dancing from my grandmother to my friends! Everything went perfectly to plan from the timing of songs to announcements. He was even able to pronounce my new very difficult last name! Bill is also very reasonably priced for the impressive experience and talent he brings. He provided us with all our beautiful up lighting that gave our reception that extra glam. I feel very lucky we found him! Thanks Bill!

Bill is great!! Our wedding planner recommended him and we were never disappointed. He is such a nice and friendly guy and really works with you to make sure you have everything you need. He is very professional and definitely knows what he is doing. He even provided a mic and mic stand for our ukelele player on the beach along with a extra speaker at cocktail hour. He is SO helpful! He played the exact type of music that we wanted at our reception and turned it up when people were ready to dance! He is very good at reading the crowd and making it fun! We had a blast at our reception! Our family and friends were dancing and doing "the train" together on the dance floor! Definitely a good time. We would recommend Bill to everyone. Next time we plan a big party, we are definitely calling him! :)

All the songs we wanted were played and the songs he chose were all ones that we would have chose on our own. I learned about Bill through my wedding planner. I gave her an idea and budget and feel and she recommended him. We couldn't be happier. From the first meeting we new that we were in good hands. Bill got the feel we were going for immiately and was more than happy to work with us in any way. When it came to selecting specific songs that weren't in his list, he was quick to look them up and download them for us with no issue. Our wedding was outside on the beach and Bill provided the ceremony music as well as the sound system/mic for us and the Officiant. Well it ended up being a rainy windy day and we had to have the ceremony tented. Bills equiptment was perfect! You can hear every word of our ceremony crystal clear. I couldn't be happier about that. The reception was out of this world. The music selections that he made were perfect. My friends and family were up on their feet dancing. Said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Bill is fantastic and we are so happy to have had him be a part of our wedding.

Dave was awesome too. He was easy to work with (all communication was with Bill prior to the wedding) and I only had a couple tiny questions before I went to get my hair and makeup taken care of and he answered them quickly. He ran the ceremony music very well and all our announcements were perfect and fluid. He must have stuck pretty darn close to the time line since all of my key elements (garter and bouquet toss, cake cutting etc.) were all taken care of before the videographer and photographers left. Everyone had a blast and not even once did I see the dance floor even close to empty :)

This guy is awesome! Our photographers recommended him, and boy did they come through! Bill is a true professional, and he charges half of what most other DJs charge. If you think because he charges less he’s not as good, you’re wrong. He has a good selection of music and will get anything you request (ahead of time) if he doesn’t have it. He’s great about sticking to your timeline and requests. He knows how to read a crowd. He even includes a separate smaller set-up for sound support and music if you have an outdoor ceremony. If you want lots of special lighting and crazy effects, then he may not be for you; but if you want a fun professional DJ who will get people out on the floor, then book Bill!

We had Larry Barajas as our DJ and he was fantastic! I planned the wedding from afar, so I hadn't actually met him until I got to the reception. Their prices were very reasonable and they had all the songs ready to go and were already playing by the time we got to the reception. Larry was very easy going, and rolled with the punches. I am so happy that we had him because he kept the party going and kept everything organized and on time. I had no idea what time it was or where or what I was supposed to do, and thanks to Larry, it all went incredibly smoothly.
As a side note; he Larry just sounds like a radio personality, his voice is fantastic and I think it just made the night that much better!

We chose Bill as our DJ after our friends booked him for their wedding a year ago, where he kept the dance floor packed. Sure enough, he did the same for us. Bill did an amazing job at our wedding! I knew when we met him that I loved his outgoing personality so we made sure we'd get him(and not one of his partners). Bill Calhoun is a fantastic DJ, with a wonderful voice and personality, nothing that you wouldn't want (nothing cheesy or stupid or intrusive or annoying or too loud or too quiet). He was reliable, professional, kind, funny, warm, and great to work with. He played all the songs we really wanted and everybody complimented us on the music. We had a lot of fun dancing and partying and Bill was a big part of this!!! Yay Bill!! He was also flexible on the schedule, the costs and everything. We changed (sort of) last minute from a band to a DJ and this company was great! As soon as I would call and leave a message, I would always get a prompt response if I had any questions. The DJ at our event did an awesome job of integrating the songs we wanted in our cocktail hour and then working with what the dancing crowd wanted at our reception. Everyone had an absolute blast and danced all night! The DJ kept things moving throughout the night and did a great job at coordinating the money dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss etc. in a timely fashion. Having a DJ was worth the little extra cost and this company is wonderful!

Bill is a cool guy with a great personality, someone you would trust making announcements at your wedding, without saying lame or embarrassing things. He was also very on top of things, like letting us know that we should probably do the cake a little sooner than planned because it seemed like some people were getting ready to leave, etc. My only complaint would be that he didn't have a couple of songs that are pretty popular and I would assume any DJ would have, and he also played a song by an artist that was specifically on our do-not-play list (but someone did request it).

We contracted with Bill Calhoun Mobile Music for our wedding. Bill was responsive and helpful throughout the planning process. Our day of DJ, Dave, spun a good mix that created the right atmosphere for the occasion and kept the crowd on the dance floor. During the day, he's an announcer at SeaWorld, which showed as he effectively communicated with our guests and kept our event on schedule. The only hiccup occurred towards the end of the night as he forgot to pause the music for our final thank you's / goodbye to our guests. Dave took so many song requests from our guests that we didn't get to hear all the songs on our wish list, but overall, he did a great job with setting the right vibe and ensuring that our guests were enjoying themselves as they danced the night away.

I found it very easy to book my wedding date with Bill. It was a little hard to contact him via phone, was able to get a response via email in a timely manor though. My only concern when I booked with Bill was that he doesn't actually come as your dj. He sends someone else. I did have a phone conversation with the other dj. He did a great job at the wedding.
