We recently booked hair and makeup services, as well as photography, with Megan for our 25th anniversary vow renewal ceremony, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience.
From the initial communication, Megan was responsive, clear, and reassuring—making the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. She reached out the day before the event to reconfirm all details and even provided her cell number for any last-minute coordination, which gave us great peace of mind.
On the day of the ceremony, Megan arrived early at our hotel, fully prepared and organized. She delivered stunning hair and makeup results that truly enhanced the occasion. Later, at the ceremony venue, Megan was again ahead of schedule and captured beautiful, heartfelt moments through her photography.

Megan @ Big Island Hawaii Makeup was amazing and so easy to book. Not only did she reply to my email request ASAP, she answered all of my questions, and sent me a cost breakdown. On the day of the wedding, Megan showed up 10 minutes early to set up...so she could start right on time. She asked me what I wanted and she recommended some solutions, like how to position my veil. Makeup was flawless! She gave me a touch-up kit, but never had to use it, because the makeup lasted for hours. She also did makeup/hair styling for my Fiance. Because we were eloping, she was enough to handle the services for the both of us. Friendly, experienced, confident in her abilities and problem solver. She made my wedding even more magical, because I looked beautiful for my wedding. I will definitely be booking Megan for any event on the Big Island. -

Megan and her team are professionals in the truest sense: They are responsive, punctual, organized, highly skilled and knowledgeable, and have great attention to detail and artistry. Working with them was not stressful at all (every bride's dream). I was so impressed with how meticulous they were my bridal hair and makeup and how well they listened to all (i.e., me, my MOH, mother, and MIL) of our preferences for our looks. It was evident that they wanted us to look and feel perfect -- and we did! Their work was age- and role-appropriate and made us all feel truly beautiful and ready for wedding day. I had a time crunch for my morning wedding and had asked to reschedule for an earlier time. Megan was so nice about it. So I went in early with an Uber. She was so sweet and even told me about her friends rental cars in turo. While doing my makeup she contacted her friend and helped get us into a car and now we're able to drive around Hawaii without spending all our money on Uber/Lyft. I would 100,000 % recommend her for your makeup needs while in Hawaii. My makeup was so beautiful and I got to my wedding early all thanks to her! Once I get my wedding photos I'll be sure too include them -

Wedding Makeup
My Wedding Party and I got our hair and makeup done for my wedding. Megan and Jen showed up on time and got everyone done in a timely matter. Everyone loved their hair and makeup, especially my three year old flower girl! Our makeup and hair lasted through the night as well! Megan and Jen were amazing!! My hair and makeup stayed in place during the heat and rain. I also wear glasses and the makeup stayed in place on the bridge of the nose. They were both so kind, efficient, and did exactly what I envisioned. My pictures came out great. Megan did my mom’s makeup and some of my bridal party makeup for my wedding in September. Throughout the booking process she was professional and knowledgeable. On the day of my wedding, she did an absolutely amazing job! My mom was really hesitant to have someone else do her makeup, as she hardly wears a full face. Megan did such a good job of making my mom look glam while still balancing a natural look. The rest of the bridal party looked amazing too!
I recently booked her again for some personal branding photos. She did an amazing job of making me look flawless but also professional. Highly, highly recommend Megan for all of your makeup needs!Big Island Hawaii Makeup's reply:

Flawless and efficient
Megan did my makeup for a beautiful birthday photoshoot. I loved the way it turned out! As a performer, I’m used to getting my make up done regularly and I don’t like sitting for too long. Megan did a flawless job and didn’t keep me sitting forever. She was quick and efficient, without sacrificing quality. A pleasure to chat with too. Highly recommended! -

I did not do a trial with her, because we didn't arrive on the island until 3 days before the wedding, but she had such wonderful reviews and Instagram photos that I trusted it would be ok. And all her reviews were so right! She made me look and feel so gorgeous, as well as all of my bridesmaids and my mother-in-law. Megan was amazing!
Megan was exactly what I was looking for, responsive and talented. She helped me plan out my wedding day so it was stress free, I would recommend her to anyone getting married on the big island. Megan does a beautiful job. I've seen her do makeup for my friends for professional photo shoots and she really brings out their natural beauty. She can do anything your looking for, light an natural, heavy and dramatic, add lashes etc. I've seen her work on all skin types and colors as well- everyone she works on comes out looking fabulous! Megan is also very friendly and easy to be around. I highly recommend her as a makeup artist for whatever event or photo shoot you need. -
