Big Hits Entertainment made our wedding an amazing party!!! Everyone was on the dance floor the entire night. The live musicians we used for the ceremony through Big Hits Entertainment were so talented. It was so wonderful to have the option for live music during the ceremony all through Big Hits. Truly a one stop shop. Working with Wayne was seamless leading up to the wedding and throughout the party, he was always checking in and easily accessible if we had any additional requests. We would absolutely recommend Big Hits Entertainment; they made our wedding an unforgettable night!

Big Hits Entertainment

They were very flexible with our postponement so to COVID and kept our 2020 prices. Wayne, the owner was completely accommodating with last minute changes right up to the day and went over all announcements and events with both my husband and I prior to our ceremony They did a phenomenal job keeping the dance floor crowded even with the eclectic music my husband chose. We used zap shot and photo booth through the company as well and dont have anything negative comments about them. Totally professional and captured shots of every moment while staying out of our photographers way. I would definitely recommend giving them a call. After meeting with other companies that seem to just want to sell their stuff we felt comfortable with Wayne who didn’t try to push any extras on us. A++++

Excellent dj music was great

Great Music for our wedding!

Wayne and his assistant did a great job. Through all the covid postponements Wayne was so easy going and helpful. He played the songs that we asked for and more. The guests keep telling us how great the music was. It wasn't too loud either, it was just perfect.

Had our guests chanting “one more song”

My wife, who was in charge of music, was sold on Wayne because of his knowledge of music and the demo he gave us. He listened to our requests and really read the room and kept the dance floor packed all night! At the end of our wedding, at 10 p.m. on a Sunday, there were people chanting "one more song" and wanting to keep the party going! Charles who played piano for hospitality, ceremony and cocktail hour was fantastic as was the percussionist! We also used Big Hits for the photobooth which was in fact a big hit! We loved having those pictures to take home at the end of the night ready to go in a beautiful album! Huge thank you to Wayne and everyone at Big Hits! You made the best day and night of our lives an absolute blast!

Just hire them!

They don’t get all the awards for no reasons. Very very professional! My husband and I were invited to the studio so we could actually here how they work with music. With other potential vendors, they just show videos or pictures but they actually play for us. Wayne took the time to make sure all details were right and all my friends and families name were pronounced right (they are from China). I saw my guest giving them thumbs up during the wedding which says more than we could. Just hire them!

Absolutely amazing!

OMG, the BEST vendor! Wayne is one of the greatest people we worked with throughout the wedding process! And Big Hits DJ Entertainment was the only vendor we signed with on the spot! Wayne is a great guy who really listened to what we wanted, walked us through the process, helped us understand how the night would unfold. The music selection and overall PARTY were awesome and that is really all due to how great our DJ was. We are so excited for the pictures of all our guests dancing because the floor was FULL all night long! Everyone had the most amazing night, including us! People are still asking us for their information for their weddings! Wayne continuously checked in on us throughout the night and made the best music selections that kept us excited and happy all night long. He also took some great shots of the dance floor! Our wedding was absolutely PERFECT and Wayne was a huge reason why! THANK YOU!!!

Very easy and stress free

Wayne was very knowledgeable about how to blend music together. He was easy to talk to about what we wanted, our type of music, and the lighting touches around the room. He showed us a video of the percussionist as an added touch, in which we hired. What more can I say except that the dance floor was packed all night!! So anyone knows, if the dancing is good the party is great!!

Choosing Big Hits was honestly the best decision we made about our whole wedding!

You can tell the care and dedication the staff at Big Hits takes to make sure your wedding reception is everything you planned for. Wayne even spent an hour helping us to pick out our first dance song when we were undecided. All generations at our reception were on the dance floor all night. In addition to reception music we used their photo booth, monogrammed initials, and zap shots- which were big hits with our guests!!

Compliments all night

We hired Big Hits Entertainment for our wedding and we are so happy we did. If I could give them 6 stars I would. The guests were complimenting the DJ all night. These guys kept the dance floor full ALL NIGHT. Wayne communicated throughout the entire process and the DJ and MC were great. I would definitely recommend this company

Our best vendor!!

We couldn’t be happier with the services provided by Big Hits DJ Entertainment! Prices were competitive and the services were exceptional! Jeff is very professional and easy to work with. He took his time during the initial meeting to explain the art of being a DJ. He assured us he would be the one to work on our wedding day along with Wayne as our MC. We decided last minute to add on a lighting package which really helped make our reception room come together perfectly. Our package also included cocktail hour. The dance floor was packed the entire night and Jeff did an amazing job playing a variety a music from different genres and time periods as we had discussed beforehand. Would choose them again 100x over!!! Thank you guys for helping create the best day ever!

Big Hits is the BEST in the area. They were amazing. We we able to book our string quartet for the ceremony, cocktail hour music, and DJ and MC with them. We also did the Zap Photos and those photos were amazing! Not only did they get pictures of our guests before the ceremony and during cocktail hour, while our photographer was with my husband and I, but he also got some of my favorite photos of the ceremony. They were just as good of quality and the ones the photographer took! They also really helped us with the flow and timing of things like the toasts, cake cutting, parent dances, etc. And this was all surprisingly affordable. I could not recommend them more!

We used Big Hits for our wedding, which is their specialty, and they really did an outstanding job. They read the room well and got involved to ensure everyone was out on the dance floor without being overly vocal. Great music selection, snap photography and montage work. 5/5 all around!

Jeff and Wayne were amazing! We heard about Big Hits through a friend who also used them for his wedding, and we're so glad he did! During the planning process, Jeff was very patient (I can be very picky) and helpful with song suggestions. He played a major role in designing the flow of our ceremony and reception. Leading up to the wedding, we were always in contact with each other and he was very accommodating to all and any requests! On the big day, I really appreciated how Jeff kept me in the loop on every step -- it allowed us to coordinate with each other on things like toasts, dances, etc. seamlessly! And of course, most important of all, they kept everyone dancing all night long! Thank you so much, Jeff and Wayne!!!

Jeff and Wayne were unreal. The minute we first met them and they started spinning for us right there in their office we fell in love. We used their guitarist and Jamaican steel drum for the ceremony/cocktail hour and they were awesome. During the actual wedding they played a few awesome sets that had people on the dance floor the entire night. All our guests showered us with compliments about the music and we'd highly recommend!

Jeff and the Big Hits team are amazing! They helped us with our music selection and played all the songs we wanted. If you end up booking with them i recommend getting the Zap Photos. The photographer took over 500 photos which we got on a CD and USB stick at the end of the night. She was amazing! All of our guests enjoyed the music and they were very organized and helped us out with the timeline through out the day. Thank you guys!

Big Hits Entertainment was wonderful. From the moment we met with Jeff, we felt very comfortable working with the company. Jeff was very responsive to my emails, answered every question I had, and accommodated every request that we made (playing special songs, not playing certain songs). The dance floor was never empty, Jeff and Wayne knew how to keep the momentum of the crowd going and knew how to transition between different genres effortlessly. You can tell they are very passionate about what they do and that translates into their work. Everyone kept saying how amazing the DJ was, people even danced through the dinner music! I would highly recommend them. Having a good DJ can make or break your entire event, and Big Hits made it amazing!!!

From start to finish, the men at Big Hits DJ Entertainment were entirely professional, responsive and accommodating. At the beginning of a search for our DJ, my husband and I were not picky. We simply knew that we did not want the DJ that was at most of the weddings we had gone to before - young kids on their cell phones, filming our wedding for their snapchat. From our first consultation appointment with Jeff, we felt so comfortable moving forward with their company. They kept us on task and organized in terms of what our song requests were for particular events. They had a broad selection of packages to choose from (They also did our up lighting, which transformed our reception space beautifully)We collected song requests from our guests in advance and turned them over prior to the wedding date - Jeff and his team were more than accommodating. They made insightful suggestions to the music we had selected, and made us feel like we were in good hands. On the day of the wedding, Jeff met up with us prior to the ceremony to confirm our music selections and to review details that we arranged; once more, we felt taken care of. Most importantly, the music/atmosphere of the wedding is what we're still hearing our guests rave about. Relatives and friends, alike, were so impressed with the wide genre that the DJ and MC were able to cover, while transitioning smoothly. Our dance floor was packed the entire night. We cannot thank Big Hits DJ Entertainment enough for making such an imperative component of a wedding flawless. If you are looking for a DJ for your wedding, take the time to have an appointment with Big Hits. They will put such a friendly and professional touch on your day!

Jeff and his team was amazing. This was the only Dj my husband and I met with. After over an hour meeting with Jeff, my husband wouldn't leave without booking him for our wedding. Jeff was professional and listened to every request we had. He offered amazing professional advice, that made the night flow great. We have been married for nearly a month, and still keep hearing from guests complementing on how awesome the DJ and MC were. My husband, myself, and each of our guests danced the entire night!

Jeff from Big Hits Entertainment and I hit it off from our first meeting a year ago. He was so personable, professional, and knowledgable when it came to music and weddings. I could tell from that start that he was experienced and that I was in great hands. He helped me each step of the way offering tips, suggestions, and insight. If you want a real party, you have to go with Big Hits! working with Gerry and his team made the whole process SO easy! Gerry is so talented and so easy to talk with. We have countless emails and phone calls, as well as appointments to pick and choose our special songs and play list. Gerry knew all i wanted to do was dance all night and that's exactly what we did! what a great collection of current hits and classic oldes. Everyone was dancing which was exactly what I wanted!!

My husband and I recently got married at the Larkfield and could not have been happier with our DJ and Photo Booth company, Big Hits Entertainment. Jeff, the MC, and his crew could not have done a better job if they tried. They brought a flow to the party that truly made it a night to remember. Big Hits Entertainment knew exactly what songs to play and what to say to get people on the dance floor at all times throughout the night. The transition from dining courses to dance party was seamless. It amazed me how one minute everyone was sitting down for dinner and instantly after, there was a full dance floor of people having a blast. Jeff truly ran the show and eased my worries about my guests enjoying themselves early in the night. From the pre-wedding meetings to the actual day, they were a class act. They took information on what we liked and disliked, what music we definitely did not want to hear, what music we definitely wanted played and hit a homerun on everything. I highly recommend the photo booth because it was such a big hit with our guests and we loved looking at all of the pictures on our computer the next day! One of our guests is even looking for a DJ company for her wedding and she said we just made her decision so easy for her! Overall, I could not have been happier with Big Hits Entertainment and hiring them was easily one of the best decisions I made for special day.

After meeting with several DJ's, our decision to go with Big Hits was based on the passion that Gerry clearly had for music and his business, and how much he wanted to make the best event for us and what we had in mind. We ended up using Big Hits for our ceremony, cocktail hour, & reception music, as well as uplighting and the photobooth. We were so happy with how everything went for the wedding! They really listened to all the requests that we had made when we met with them prior to the wedding, made sure the dance floor was full the whole night, and made the day about us and our families, not talking over the music the whole time as we have seen at other weddings. When it was getting late in the night and they hadn't gotten to play one of the songs we talked about yet ( a special request from our parents), they made sure to ask how/if we still wanted to fit it in. We had several people go out of their way to ask who the DJ was so they could use them for their next event.

The lighting was beautiful and the photobooth was SUCH a hit - we chose the extra large option and friends were amazed how many people could fit in. They printed photos for each person (sometimes up to 14 in one photo!), as well as made us a book/digital file of all of them from the night. It really made the night extra fun for our guests.

Would definitely use Big Hits for future events and recommend to any other couples looking for wedding entertainment!

Big Hits was recommended to us by a wedding photographer. We first met with Jerry and he gave us such a great first impression. You could tell how passionate he is about his company and music. We asked him his opinion on different songs for different parts of the wedding and he showed us how he could make remixes and transition smoothly between certain songs. You could tell he knew what he was doing and is great at his job. Months passed and we couldn't get in touch with our photographer. I contacted Jerry and Jeff and they made several attempts to contact him for us. We really felt this was above and beyond their responsibility to us. A couple weeks before our wedding we met with Jeff, who had the same work ethic as Jerry. He went through our song lists, gave us different options for each song we could use, and gave us helpful advice. The day of the wedding we had Jeff as our MC. The song choices were perfect for the crowd we had. Almost everyone was dancing which was what we wanted. They also made sure to play all the songs we asked them to at our final meeting. In addition, Jeff gave us a heads up when certain things were about to happen (e.g. cake cutting) so that we could use the bathroom beforehand if needed. If he needed to ask a question, he was very polite and mindful to not interrupt or intrude on what we were doing at the time. The lighting they used was perfect, as well. We couldn't be more thrilled with their professionalism.

Just got married about 6 weeks ago and the entire Big HIts Team was phenomenal. We first met Jerry at his office, where he gave us an idea of his business, the culture, and types of music we'd like. He gave us phenomenal tips and things to consider, like age group, number of people, languages, etc.... We had a very multicultural wedding of 300 total (Iraqi Jews, Ashkenazi Jews, and lots of non-Jewish guests as well).... He showed how he could speed up popular songs that were slow, as well as do mashups for us. He also included at no charge a mash-up of five songs that we used for our wedding dance--- it was the dance of the year and such a hit. Jeff was our MC for the evening. So professional and has a deep, baritone voice that's JUST what u want in a DJ. We also ordered a live drummer to play along with the DJ music and he was so fun and young and cool and snazzy. He even let some of our "drummer guests" take a stab at the drums during the wedding too. LOVE THESE GUYS.

Booking Big Hits Entertainment was the easiest decision for our wedding!! I attended two previous weddings done by Big Hits and I did not need to continue my search for our wedding. We love Big Hits!! My husband went a wedding 5 years ago and saw them perform. When it was time for us to choose a DJ, he suggested Big Hits. I am so glad I listened to him! We worked with Jeff from our first phone call to our wedding night. He is truly amazing! I was a dance teacher for many years, so I know music and mixes and one of my pet peeves is poor transitions between songs. Jeff showed us what certain songs would sound like and he mixed 1 song into another seamlessly! I was very impressed and knew right away, Big Hits was for us! I really liked that Jeff gave us ideas of what certain songs would sound like right there in their office! On our wedding, we were not disappointed! Jeff was an amazing MC and the music was great! I recommend Big Hits completely and I wouldn't use any other DJ!

We are so happy with all the services they provided for our wedding. We worked with Jeff and he was extremely professional and nice to work with. I think they are a high integrity vendor and stand behind their service. Jeff was very helpful in answering any questions leading up to the day, and helped us make a few decisions we were unsure about. For example, one of the entrance songs we picked wasn't working that well so he played it for us in the office so we could hear how he would use it for the introductions, and then he also gave us ideas for other alternatives. The way he ran the night was just seamless. Half of our guests were Russian and he really blended everything perfectly to keep everyone engaged. There was a crowd on the dance floor the entire night.

We had a lot of moving pieces and they had everything in place running smoothly. They provided our Photo Booth (also great service), a string trio for our cocktail hour and reception, and a percussionist at the reception. I recommend any of these services as add-ons as well.

Jeff and his team were phenomenal!! They really made the life of our party and customized the music the day of perfectly with what we wanted to hear. They were incredibly accommodating. Best DJ's ever. We had been to a lot of weddings and the DJ is key to having a great party. So we wanted the best and found it with Big Hits. Gerry was great, accommodating all of our requests, and sticking to our list of Play and don't play songs. John(DJ) and Wayne(MC) were amazing. They felt out the room perfectly, getting people up, getting them back to their seats. Even when the music to our slideshow didn't start up right away(Venues fault) they stepped up to put music on that fit the slideshow until the venue fixed the sound issue. They made our night.

It has been a little over a week since my wedding and everyone is STILL talking about how much fun they had and how great the entertainment was. From the moment we met with Gerry, we knew we HAD to have Big Hits Entertainment. We were EXTREMELY lucky to have Jeff as our MC. There are not enough words to say how just how fantastic he was. He kept our guests dancing the whole night. The photo booth and video montage were such a hit with our family and friends. They even made us a book of all the photos from the photo booth as a keepsake! If you are a bride looking for your DJ or band, stop looking and book now with Big Hits-- You will not be disappointed!! It was a pleasure working with this team. While other DJ companies will show you video of what they can do, Jerry actually did it right there for us in our meeting. Showing us what the original song would sound like, and how they pump it up for a party. It's such a difference! He also went ahead and made us some mixes of country music which some DJ's said they would not even play! He was also very cautious of age groups at the wedding and what would be appropriate for all crowds while keeping what we wanted in there as well. The day of the music was great and all my requests were played perfectly. The party didn't stop and everyone had a great job and loved the music selection from the cocktail hour to the last song played! Well Done!

Big Hits was amazing. We used them for our wedding September 5 at the North Ritz Club. We have absolutely no complaints whats so ever. Jeff was amazing and gave us everything we wanted! If you’re considering Big Hits for your wedding (or any occasion), seriously just do it! Our 200 guests literally couldn’t leave the dance floor because each song was better than the previous one and they were too excited to sit down. From beginning to end, Gerry and Jeff were amazing to work with and delivered so much more than we could have ever imagined. These guys have been in the business for more than 20 years and have so much experience to share during the song-selection process and wedding planning in general. We gave them a list of about 50 of our favorite songs, and chose maybe half for our must-play list. From there, they work their magic, throwing in unexpected hits you didn’t think of and linking your favorites together. All of our guests (young, old, even those from other countries!) were rocking out to an awesome mix of oldies, 70s, 80s, 90s and a few of today’s hits. Any DJ can pull great songs, but Big Hits blends them seamlessly – never an awkward splice where one song ends and another begins. My husband and I are in our mid-20s, so the highlight of the evening was definitely Backstreet Boy’s “Everybody” turning into Spice Girls’ “Wannabe” which then somehow effortlessly turned into “Shake It Off” – people were freaking out! Gerry was also an amazing emcee, working with our maître d’ to keep the reception schedule going exactly as planned. Gerry and team were fantastic on our wedding day! We were so lucky to have such a professional team support us on our big day to ensure that all goes smoothly and beautifully during the cocktail hour and our reception. We had a beautiful string trio and also a terrific Sinatra Impersonator perform during dinner. Gerry had our guests dancing and enjoying the music throughout the night. All these nice touches made the night super special and fun. Everyone enjoyed themselves and danced the night away. We were also very happy, satisfied and impressed with how smoothly the night went... in particular since we had a international guest list (family and friends visiting from Europe and South America). Gerry catered our music to all cultures, of all ages; it was a fun time for all our family and friends.

I cannot start by thanking Gerry and his team enough. Me and my now husband were nervous picking a DJ group back when looking for our wedding vendors because we didn't want to go with a huge company of young unprofessional dj's, like many weddings we have attended in the past. We were extremely impressed upon meeting Gerry not only with his level of professionalism, but with his knowledge and love for music! Music is everything at your wedding besides food. He had my dance floor rockin' all night long!!!! So much that different sets of guests who attended wanted his info for upcoming events in their lives! We left majority of our music choices in the hands of "Big Hit's" and all of our guests could not get over the variety he played to satisfy every age group! My husband also wanted to add a Percussionist, in which I had no clue what that was!!!! Well I have to say that also added to the party, who doesn't want to play some drums!?!?!? This was a huge hit with everyone as well! Overall Our experience with Big Hits was amazing. They met all of our expectations and then some. My job was to keep my guests dancing all night long, and Big Hits exceeded that! I'm not sure my dance floor was ever empty! I cannot wait for another event in which I will be using them again!

Where to start? We had a smaller wedding at the Crescent Beach Club in Bayville, and Gerry did an absolutely outstanding job at our wedding. All of the guests were up and dancing the whole night and he really listened to our requests and found music that worked incredibly well for a such a diverse age group. Our wedding was on a weeknight, but Gerry absolutely nailed it! We couldn't have been any happier with Big Hits, Gerry, and the entire experience. He was such a pleasure to work with and a true professional. From the moment we contacted him we knew he had to be the one for our wedding. Big Hits entertainment were absolutely amazing. I went to two weddings where they provided their services and immediately called them up when it was time for my big day. From the first meetings with Gerry right up to the final planning meeting with Jeff my husband and I were impressed with their level of dedication, attention to detail and state of the art equipment and expertise. We were actually excited to go to their offices and meet with them each time. That is saying a lot when you are bogged down with every single wedding detail. They made the planning fun and exciting and offered their expert knowledge and opinion whenever it was needed.

With all that being said I can’t even put into words how amazing everything came together the day of the wedding. Big Hits provided music for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. They also did the LED up lighting and provided the ever popular photobooth. It has been almost a month and guests are still commenting on the music and much fun the photobooth was. Jeff, who was our MC from Big Hits, really listened to us and mixed the music perfectly to reflect our tastes and personalities. He NAILED it! Our friends and family have said that our wedding was one of the best ever and we truly believe that Big Hits Entertainment had a lot to do with that. My husband and I researched DJ's for awhile before deciding on Big Hits. We trusted their fantastic reviews, and we felt 100% comfortable after meeting with Gerry at his studio. We liked that Big Hits was willing to work with us on customizing our playlist (we prefer older music to current top hits). My wife and I used this company for our wedding, and Gerry was the one that took great care of us. When we first walked in, we got a very warm, comfortable, and friendly feeling from him. He walked us through the process and even took his time to show us examples of how he could mix in our entrance music when we first get announced. We never felt rushed at all during any of our appointments with him. He was very flexible in working with us to customize certain things out of the ordinary that we wanted done, such as a split song with the Bride and her father, and a personal song I had created with friends in college that he actually played at the wedding. You can tell he has been doing this for a long time by the way the music was flowing all night and keeping the dance floor full, but his years of experience do not come through as a jaded feeling like some of these other vendors that just see you as another number. We received so many compliments from our guests about how good the music was at the wedding. We would highly recommend him. Thanks again Gerry!!

My husband and I absolutely LOVED having Big Hits Entertainment as the DJ at our wedding! A friend of mine used Big Hits at their wedding 4 years ago, and after hearing how much everyone loved them, we had to check them out for our wedding day. When I first called I spoke with Gerry, and I immediately had a good feeling about using them. I am a very fickle person, and always have a difficult time making decisions. Once my husband and I met with Gerry we knew he was the perfect MC for our big day. We signed the contract and left a deposit that very same day! Gerry was very knowledgable, and made it clear that his goal was to make sure everyone attending the reception was having a great time. He was even able to mix my favorite songs with songs that my husband loves (which is shocking, mixing todays hits with 90s hip hop!) We also opted to have uplighting along with a photo booth at our wedding, which were great decisions. Big Hits entertainment is the DJ company to pick for your wedding. Gerry was very easy to work with, will return your phone call by the end of the day. Jeff went beyond what we expected. He would check in with us every now and then to make sure we were happy. Our guest were rarely in there seats! It was so much fun nobody wanted it to end. They did so much from the music, lighting and plasma TV's that displayed zap shots throughout the night. That was an amazing option to pick since we have to wait for our pictures from the photographer we have a hard drive with tons of pictures to look back on!!

As everyone knows the DJ plays a big part in a party and we wanted to make sure that everyone would remember having a lot of fun at our wedding, so we decided to go with Big Hits Entertainment and I wouldn't change a thing. We met Jeff at his office and he made us feel at home right when we walked in, as we discussed everything from lighting and song types he even showed us a little sample of what he can do and from then on we knew he was a good choice for our wedding.
What really put the icing on the cake was when we cam to give him a play list of songs he was really excited about the wedding and what he had planned. Jeff is the owner of the company and he did the honor to work our wedding and made it that much more special. Everyone talked about the selection of music and how he interacted with everyone and put a nice touch to what was already an amazing wedding. Thanks Jeff we will recommend you to everyone!!!!

Great entertainment! I love remixes, so Gerri (owner) did a fine job on letting the Dj know how I want my music to be played and have a great transition between songs. I danced for hours on my wedding day and I was 20 weeks pregnant at the time! Gerri is a very good listener, well spoken and knows how to treat all of his clients needs and wants. We could not have been happier with the DJing at our wedding. Big Hits took our suggested (very diverse!) playlist and turned it into a 5 hour disco party -- the dance floor was packed all night and all of our guest raved about the music. Don't look elsewhere! Big Hits was the best decision my husband and I made when choosing vendors. Gerry promised us that he was experienced and knew what he was doing and boy did he prove himself and then some at our wedding! I had 240 people at my wedding and EVERYONE loved the music. People are still talking about how great the music was and how much fun they had. He kept our dance floor full the entire night. We added an extra hour on to the wedding for the Viennese hour. We hired Gerry for the extra hour and were worried that no one would dance - it was a Friday night, people worked all day, we assumed they would grab dessert, drink coffee and leave. We were wrong! Gerry was able to still keep our dance floor full for all 5 hours of our wedding. We also added the drummer to our package and it was well worth it! Our guests loved the added sound as well as the fact that they got to play the bongos. Perfection!

Big Hits Entertainment is an amazing DJ company! Gerry, the owner, is an absolute pleasure to work with! He was so nice from the first meeting, and we were so confident in his ability! We also had a piano player for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Gerry was so flexible because my brother is a piano player, and we wanted him to play the song that I walked down the aisle to, Gerry and Charles (the piano player) were absolutely fine with this, and helped us add that personal detail to our wedding! We also had the plasma screens with a photographer taking pictures and having them play on the screens during the reception! So cool! We also had a mongram light...so nicely done! The music was great. There was such a variety of music, and people were literally dancing all night long! When I told Gerry that I wanted a huge dance party, he certainly accomplished that! Gerry at Big Hits was really easy to work with and he knows his music. As soon as my husband and I met with him to discuss options and the music to play at the reception I knew I had found the right fit. Gerry gave us a fantastic package at a reasonable price. On our wedding day Wayne was our DJ and Jeff was the MC. Both Wayne and Jeff were exactly what we hoped for. The music from cocktail hour to the end of the reception was a great mix and several guests mentioned to us how great the music was at our wedding. If your getting married or for any other occasion I can only recommend Big Hits Entertainment.

BEST DJ EVERRRRR!!! My husband and I tied the knot 2 mths ago and people are still raving about how great he was!!! Gerry managed to have everyone on the dance floor all night long. The photo montage was AMAZING and his lighting systems are top of the line!!!! His asst was great as well. Pictures they were able to capture were one of the best highlights of night!!! Everyone was in awe of the screens and ceremony pics playing throughout wedding! 5 stars from beginning to end! Thank you Gerry for going above and beyond with EVERYTHING!

From the moment we first contacted Gerry, via the website, I knew we were in good hands. Five minutes after I submitted an inquiry my phone rang and it was Gerry. He makes the entire process incredibly easy and is extremely knowledgable in what he does. He never tried to sell us on anything. Gerry just asked questions and got a feel for exactly what we wanted.

Working with Big Hits was such a fantastic experience. We met with Gerry almost a year ago, after meeting with a few of the larger long island based entertainment. Having the ability to work directly with the owner was a huge plus for us, and we signed almost immediately after meeting with Gerry. Gerry's passion for his craft was just so obvious to us from the moment we met with him, he was thrilled to walk us through all of the details of how he'd operate the day of, was proud to show us his equipment and even went so far as to demo for us how they'd mix music.

After signing, Gerry made is so easy to do business with him. He was flexible with us throughout the process, offered advice when asked for it, and was always easy to reach. He focused on figuring out what we wanted at our party, rather then trying to sell us on additional services.

We were the type of couple who only gave him a small list of music as a guide, and asked him to build out the playlist from there. Gerry NAILED IT. The music kept our party up on the dance floor throughout the night, and the music was constantly varied which gave everyone something to listen to.

We also loved the zap shots that he provided (a separate photographer was taking shots which were immediately displayed on the screens), and we left that night with a flashdrive of almost 500 pictures which gave us an awesome way to relive the events before we get our professional shots. Upon our request, Gerry even worked with us to execute on having live hashtagging of pictures from our friends mixed in with the zap shots.

A wonderful experience, and an awesome DJ/MC. We HIGHLY recommend Big Hits Entertainment!!!

What an amazing company to work with! From our first meeting with Gerry, we instantly felt comfortable and knew we would be in good hands! You can tell he really knows and loves this business. We weren't rushed, he answered all of our questions (I had quite a list) and asked us questions to get to know us, our style/taste and what we wanted/didn't want and he really listened and offered some great advice and suggestions (even not music related!)

We had a very broad range of ages with our guests, plus some that spoke Italian, they were able to make it all work and played a nice array of music. The party was non-stop and so many of our guests mentioned at the wedding and after what a great DJ and Emcee we had. They really made the party, without making it about them! They also had a cellist and violinist play for our guest arrival and ceremony, which was just beautiful!

We were very nervous about having a DJ for our wedding - we were afraid of the cheesy, constant talking and annoying ways that some DJs have about them at weddings. We were very honest with Gerry about our concerns and he made sure to be the exact opposite of what we were afraid of. For a VERY reasonable price, we had the gorgeous uplighting package (the pictures look so awesome with the different colors in the background!) , used the projection screen for a slide show and had 2 live performances at our reception. Big Hits also provided us with a piano player for our ceremony and cocktail hour who worked out PERFECTLY! Gerry spoke to so many people about my wedding and he was always patient, kind and professional. He made sure that everything went off seamlessly. One of the things we were most impressed by was Gerry's abilitiy to read the crowd...we gave an unecessarily large list of songs for him to play and he knew exactly what to play and when to make sure people stayed on the dance floor. It was a major dance party..the video is just full of big smiling faces on the dance floor...everything you want for your wedding reception...it was awesome. If you want a wedding that people will never forget...Gerry will know how to make that happen!1

I should have posted this a while ago, but after watching my wedding video I was reminded how awesome Big Hits were at the wedding. Gerry and the rest of the guys were so easy to work with, understood what I wanted and didn't want played and made the night so much fun for my guests, husband and I. Aside from three or four artists I told them I didn't want played, I didn't give them much of a list of songs to play and a year later I still have people ask who the DJ was and comment on how great they were.
From the initial meeting to the end of the wedding night, I'm really happy we went with Big Hits and would hands down recommend them to any future bride and groom.

I found my DJ, Big Hits through the Wedding Wire website and I want to thank the online community for the reco. All the positive reviews about Gerry were spot on. He was incredible responsive and contacted me almost as soon as I sent an inquiry. We knew at our first meeting we had found our guy. Gerry is incredibly passionate about what he does and about music in general and this passion shows through in his work. He is also very quick and can adapt to situations with speed and with grace. During the middle of my party, the fire alarm started going off. The building was clearly not on fire and the staff realized it was a false alarm. Gerry came over to talk to me about it and then proceeded to play songs with 'fire' in them. (We Didn't Start the Fire, Burning Down the House, etc..) Our crowd loved it! Several people came up to me later that day and the next to ask how we found him and to say how great he was or how clever it was for him to play those songs during the alarm. He was also flexible with us in terms of start time. Originally we wanted to have him for our ceremony and cocktail hour. But then my mother decided to hire live music at the last minute. Gerry was so accommodating, he still came to set up early and even let us use his microphone and speakers for our ceremony. He didn't have to and it was incredibly nice of him to do so. We were so happy with him as our DJ and I am sure anyone else that hires him will feel the same.

I booked with Big Hits Entertainment for lighting after seeing them at a band showcase. I was on the fence about lighting, but am SO glad we decided to go for it, it was definitely worth it! Jeff, our lighting technician, was fantastic. He checked in with us to make sure we were happy with how everything looked, and when the party really got going he did a great job syncing the lights to the music which I feel really enhanced the energy on the dance floor. Big Hits Entertainment was an awesome addition to our wedding, and I highly recommend them!

We knew Gerry was our guy for entertainment from the beginning. He handled our harpist for ceremony, live musicians at cocktail hour and was the MC for our reception. He was great and definitely skilled at what he does. He loves his job and you can tell from meeting him. He paid so much attention to detail and had everyone on the dance floor all night! Our wedding was very eclectic. My husband is Guyanese and I am Hispanic and we needed a dj who could keep everyone happy! Jerry and his crew at Big Hits were amazing! I orginally was going to purchase the very expensive lighting package offered by my venue. At the last minute (literally a week before my wedding) I was put in touch with Gerry at Big Hits. He gave me a fantastic price being that he had my date open and rather have had my business and gotten paid less than not working at all that night. I put my faith in him that he could make my room look beautiful with his lighting-and he delivered. It was gorgeous. The up-lighting, and color changing techniques he did throughout the night really pulled the entire room together. I still have people commenting on how amazing it looked. Gerry was probably one of the best deals we got for our wedding. He's great!

Would definitely recommend Big Hits DJ!! From our first conversation with Gerry we felt comfortable and confident that they would do a great job. He listened to all our requests and helped us pick and choose some details. In addition to the music, Big Hits also did the lighting at our reception and zap shots which were awesome candid photos taking during cocktail hour and displayed at the reception. Gerry also helped us put together our video montage and it came out great! The dance floor was full all night and we received so many compliments of how great our DJ was.

I could not be happier with Big Hits Entertainment! None of the other DJs I looked at even compared. Music is very important to me and my husband and Gerry and Jeff at Big Hits listened to what we had to say and took the time to understand our style and what we were looking for in a DJ. They played every one of our must play songs and even made sure to have the songs we requested that many people have never even heard of! It is obvious that they love music and love what they do. Jeff made sure that everything went smoothly the day of the wedding and he took the time to make sure he had the correct pronunciations of everybody's names and their titles when doing the introductions. During the reception I sang a song to my husband and Jeff made sure to begin and end it at exactly the right moments. Our guests had a blast and were out on the dance floor (with my husband and me) all night long!

Big Hits DJ Entertainment did an incredible job at my June 2011 wedding. We worked with Gerry, the owner, to plan our DJ, MC and lighting services. He is a ball of energy, but is so enthusiastic about what he does, that we were confident in what we would be getting. We gave him a playlist and Big Hits stuck to it. Despite a minor hiccup when playing our entrance song for the reception, Big Hits delivered every single thing we asked of them. Since I am Indian-American and my now-husband is Irish-American, we had two sets of guests who were used to very different types of music. Keeping the crowd dancing and happy all night would be a challenge for a normal DJ, but Big Hits accepted the mission without one ounce of hesitation and did such a great job, that one of my uncles even went up to the DJ after the reception and thanked him for playing such great music through the night. A few weeks after the wedding, a friend of mine went out of his way to tell me that he couldn't believe how well the Indian music was mixed with American music - the flow of beats was so synchronous that you almost didn't notice there had been a change in genre, and no one felt that they had to sit down when there was music they were unfamiliar with. Our MC was great too, keeping us informed through the night as to what would happen next, making sure to ask us our preferences for certain things, and executing everything perfectly. The lighting was beautiful. I had expected just uplighting around the room, gradually changing to different colors through the night, but Bigh Hits went a step further and set-up a lighting scheme for the raised ceiling at our venue, which created a whole other layer of dimension to the room. I would definitely recommend Big Hits to anyone who wants to have a great party!

Five years ago a friend of mine used them for her wedding and I always remembered that the music at her reception was great, so I went to meet with the m for my wedding. From the first meeting Gerry was a pleasure. Where as other DJs talked about how great their equipment was and how they are good DJs, Gerry spoke about how they feel out the crowd and make sure that people are enjoying what they are playing. He added a more personal touch in my opinion. The day of the music was great and all my requests were played perfectly. The dance floor was never empty. We also had Big Hits do the room uplighting for the reception. The up lighting during the reception was beautiful. I wanted purple for the start, but then told them to do what ever they thought was best and it turned out great.

Very professional; especially more then other companies out there. The owner, Gerry is very nice and does not do the obnoxious sales pitch that a lot of DJs do. He knows exactly what he is doing and is very experienced. He was very responsive and spent a lot of time with us to make sure he was meeting our needs, which he did. The day of the wedding he was our MC and he did all of the announcements we asked, played most of the music on our list, did a really nice photo slide show, some zap shots on the monitor, he kept checking with us to make sure we were happy. He also did the uplighting for the room and it looked amazing!!! We also hired a percussionist from Gerry to have him play along with the music and everyone had a lot of fun with that and it sounded awesome! Everyone had a lot of fun. The entrance of the wedding party into the reception room was great. He checked with us before he announced everyone's names to make sure he was pronouncing them correctly and when the wedding party entered he played a really cool mix. My Mom could not stop dancing and neither could I. We barely ate anything because we enjoyed the party so much. I would recommend this company. We got a big package with them with a lot of add ons and it was worth it because it made a great event. Gerry is a real classy guy and runs a great company.

We cannot say enough good things about Gerry and Big Hits. Logistically, Gerry was a pleasure to work with. We met with him twice at his office on Long Island. During the second meeting we had a song list ready to go, which Gerry meticulously reviewed with us and gave us his expert thoughts and made suggestions without changing the feel of the songs that we wanted. On the actual wedding day, every song we wanted was played and sounded great! He also showed up early to ensure everything was set up before our guests arrived. However, any good DJ should be able to play a list of songs on good audio equipment. What makes Gerry and Big Hits stand out is their ability to make things flow. We wanted our wedding to be one big party and make sure that everyone had a good time. Admittedly, the vast majority of the guests were our age, which definitely helped to get people on the dance floor, but Gerry did an amazing job as MC. He knew exactly when and how to get people on the dance floor and excited and how to slow things down for toasts and dinner.

We would highly recommend Gerry and Big Hits.

Big Hits MADE our wedding... people were on the dance floor the whole time and are still talking about how much fun they had!
When we met with Gerry, he assured us that they would tailor a play list to what we wanted, which was exactly what they did. It was NOT the cheesy DJ thing at all... Gerry helped us come up with what we wanted, listened to our ideas, and put it all together.
The night of the wedding, the guys were so flexible with the program....they delayed the father/daughter dance when we had a minor dress emergency (my bustle broke) and no one else even noticed! They worked with the maitre'd to assure a smooth flow of the night. All in all, it was incredible... can't wait for the video!

The DJ either makes the party or kills the party and Big Hits MADE our wedding party. We met and discussed our likes and dislikes regarding music selections prior to signing the contact. Within less than 5 minutes in the office I knew we had found our DJ for the wedding. Other DJ's had their vision of what we wanted while doing what they wanted, BigHits listened and understood our needs and catered to our needs and wants. The day of the reception the MC and DJ where GREAT.. The lighting package we chose worked well with the catereing hall, which BigHits was quite familiar with. Our guests where up on the dance floor all night and seemed to have a great time. Well worth the money EXCELLENT value.

We knew we wanted to go with Big Hits right after we met with them. Gerry was very thorough in explaining the whole process and he also was willing to work with us a little bit on pricing. For people like us, who hadn't thought about music for the wedding day beyond "We want it to be fun," he was the perfect person to work with. Gerry, and our MC for the day, Jeff, worked with us about a month before the wedding to nail down our music requests and were candid about which songs would work in a wedding and what wouldn't. We wanted to make sure that our wedding was more like a fun party with friends rather than a bumping club, and Jeff delivered that balance easily. Many of our guests complimented on us our DJ and MC after the wedding, in particular telling us that they were happy that they weren't "in their face" with getting people up on the dance floor.

In addition, Big Hits also arranged our photography booth and guitarist for the ceremony and cocktail hour. The photography booth in particular was extremely popular with our guests and we really love all of the shots we received from it immediately after the wedding.

All in all, we would highly recommend Big Hits for your wedding day.

Big Hits are professional and seasoned DJ's. They know what music will work, what won't, and how to mix everything together. They assisted us with choosing music that would blend together. The whole prcess was very easy and smooth.

Of all of our vendors Big Hits was by far the best and made our night great. Gerry and Mark did an awesome job at our wedding and were really beyond nice. They were fun and stuck to everything we discussed. Our family and friends had nothing but great things to say about them as well. If you're looking for a DJ who wants what you want and sticks to it and will have your crowd up all night, then you should check them out. We had the best time b/c of them.

Big Hits was absolutely wonderful at our wedding and the whole planning process.

We first met with Gerry to discuss booking - and he did a great job at telling a story about a wedding day and made us really believe that it was about us. He really knows his music. Some of the other companies we met with you could tell it was all about booking the most weddings, it was a business, not about the music. Big Hits is a little bit more than other DJ companies, but it's worth it.

About a month before the wedding we sat down with Gerry & went over all the special music details & our play/do not play list. And it was definitely followed at the reception.

Our MC was Wayne and he knew exactly how involved to be. I've been to weddings where the MC seems like he's really trying to be a part of everything and it just gets annoying but I felt Wayne had the perfect amount of involvement. He always checked in with me about our special requests as well, which I really appreciated. Not sure who our DJ was (didn't catch his name) but the variety of music was great & everyone was dancing the entire time. Would highly recommend to a friend!

I was in between a band and a DJ - what made me hesitate with a DJ is that I hate the cheesy MC's who are on the dance floor bothering guests and totally Jersey Shoring It Up. When I met Gerry from Big Hits he assured me that they are not that kind of company - their business is at least 90% weddings so they don't go down that road of a Sweet 16 atmosphere. The DJ and MC were fantastic and you barely knew they were there. They played the songs we requested and spoke only when they needed to and our dance floor was packed the entire time. If you are up in the air - this company will definitely make you second guess hiring a DJ for your wedding - you would never need a band again.

Tailored to your wants

The entire experience with Wayne and Big Hits Entertainment was everything we wanted for our wedding. We found that communication was easy and it particularly helped having a face to face meeting before the big day to go through our questions but more importantly to hear about Wayne’s experiences of MC’ing and DJ’ing at past weddings; we told him that we didn’t want to think about a thing when the day arrived. And we got our wish.
We found that during the day Wayne and the team were very proactive and managed the room perfectly whilst keeping us informed of the upcoming item on the agenda e.g. speeches, cake cut.
The music was exactly what we wanted. The DJ played many of our requests, the speeches went smoothly and we transition through one part of the reception to the next seamlessly. We also paid for the photo booth which seemed a little pricey at first but in hindsight we couldn’t imagine not having it. It added a great place for guests to get fun shots, all of which Big Hits collated into an album for us; it’s definitely recommended. Most importantly the dance floor was full all night long!
One of our concerns before we chose a DJ was that we saw ourselves as a young couple and we weren’t sure how an established wedding company would be able to accommodate the music or vibe that we wanted to give out. But during our meeting Wayne displayed his musical knowledge and chose the right ambience for the day so that all ages enjoyed the dance floor and it transitioned brilliantly from family friendly to modern music as the night drew on.
We are definitely going to keep in touch with Wayne because if the opportunity arises again we could think of no better entertainment company to help with our next party.
