They were super easy for us to talk to and get along with, and they totally understood our vision for our wedding reception. We will never EVER regret booking a band for our wedding! If you want your guests on the dance floor for three hours straight, book Big City Horns! Ben was so easy to work with and made planning seamless. What sets them apart from other bands is they come as a nine piece band and they have the ability to play so many genres of music. We chose to go with live music for the cocktail hour which helped start the party off just right! Their energy is unmatched and they made our night 10x the fun. We cannot say enough amazing things about Big City Horns! From the very first song to the last dance, they had everyone on their feet the entire night. Their energy, talent, and stage presence were absolutely incredible. Every musician was outstanding and the horn section truly brought the party to life!
They played a great mix of classics and modern hits that appealed to every guest, and the dance floor was packed all night long. So many of our friends and family are still raving about how amazing the band was and how much fun they had!
The band didn't just perform, they created an experience we will never forget! If you want your wedding to feel like the best celebration ever, hire them! You won't regret it! -

Ben Baia., Big City Horns is a very cooperative, polite, engaging. The band played all of our requests expertly!
All our guests complimented on providing this wonderful band, instead of a DJ. Ben and Maria both called to make sure we were all in sinc with what we wanted and made really nice recommendations, also.
Ben added a surprise extra touch that you’ll just have to hire them and see for yourself, I don’t want to spoil it. I promise you’ll be so happy.
The band definitely, without a doubt , made our beautiful wedding a memorable occasion.

Kept the Party Going!!
Big City Horns was amazing—well worth the expense for our wedding. Guests raved about the music, were up dancing all night, and the reception had just the energy we hoped for. Ben took all of our requests into consideration and coordinated music for our ceremony, performed light jazz for the cocktail hour, and then of course hosted an amazing live performance for the reception, plus incorporated our playlist during the dinner break. We loved when the band came out on the dance floor with the guests. Was a memorable night that we’ll never forget—highly recommend!! -

Big City Horns made our wedding day and reception absolutely amazing! From the initial booking to our planning meeting and up to the day, Ben was extremely engaged and detail oriented to things we never would have thought of! Big City Horns brought the best dance party ever and we had so much fun! They tailored the set list to our vibe and all of our guests could not say enough great things about the band. Ben and the Big City Horns truly made our day so special and we can’t thank them enough! :) We would highly recommend them for any event but especially a wedding! With such a wide variety of music that the band can play, they will be able to make your event how you choose. The entire band is extremely talented, could not recommend them more! -

The highlight of our wedding reception!! We did not leave the dance floor all night! We could not have imagined a better wedding band than Big City Horns who had everyone up and dancing the night away. If you want to hire a band that listens to your ideas, is extremely responsive, keeps the dance floor alive all night, and makes your wedding memorable from start to finish then look no further. Hiring Big City Horns was one of the BEST decisions we made when planning our wedding. Ben & the band listened to our ideas, gave great recommendations, and were simply put just amazing to work with. They played our first dance song live which was a super special moment for my husband and I as well as learned songs for us that were not previously on their set list. We had people from early twenties to late 80’s at our wedding and the floor was completely full throughout the entire evening. Aside from sounding amazing the band had great stage presence and were so fun to watch. They also came equipped with awesome lighting to really make the party stand out. There are not enough words out there to describe how much I recommend this band. -

We had the absolute pleasure of having Big City Horns perform at our wedding, and they exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we booked them, their professionalism and enthusiasm were evident.
During the reception, they kept the energy high and the dance floor packed with their fantastic mix of classic hits and contemporary favorites. Each band member is incredibly talented, and their ability to read the crowd and adjust the music accordingly was impressive.
Special thanks to Ben and Maria for their incredible vocals (especially during 'Shallow' and engaging performance style. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how great the music was and how much fun they had.

Full Dance-floor All Night!
Ben was so easy to work with, he made planning our big day seem so simple and everything we requested he made happen. Nothing we asked was ever too much of an ask for Ben. His whole band was so nice once we were able to talk with them at the end of the night. They put on an amazing show, so much that I had multiple guests ask for their business cards! They kept the dance floor full the entire night. I would recommend Big City Horns for any event and would book them again! -

We hired Big City Horns for our wedding August 2022. Ben was the absolute best vendor to work with. We had a lot of issues leading up to our wedding pertaining to my venue, but Ben was always there to be flexible, make changes, and reassure me that our day will be everything we imagine it. This was a huge relief for me. Ben made it simple to plan out our music options, really gave honest, helpful opinions based on his experience, and made sure everything was ironed out before the big day. He has a fantastic personality and was super easy to work with. The day of the wedding, we met the rest of the band! They were full of energy, smiles, and sounded amazing! Ben and his band add their own twist to a lot of the music, and are willing to learn songs that may not be on their list. I had so many of my guests raving about the band and asking for their cards by the end of the night. Ben and Big City Horns was a perfect fit for our wedding!Big City Horns's reply:

They told us that their job was to keep the dance floor full the whole night….which they did! We had so many comments from guests about the quality and “dance ability” of the music…and this is from a family of professional musicians. Ben Baia was easy to work with and very responsive, helpful and flexible through the whole process. We can’t say enough about how great they were! -

Ben and his band is absolutely top notch. My lovely Wife convinced me to hire them to play at our wedding and it was the best decision we made. The dance floor was ON FIRE for hours and hours and not once was there ever a lull. My aunt actually made a comment about how versatile they are in terms of music and then realized she was listening to the DJ portion of the night. THAT is how good these guys are. If you have the chance to hire them for your event, just do it. I promise, you will not regret it. -

Fantastic!
Big City Horns really set the tone and the pace for our reception. One of my favorite moments of the entire day was when the shout the song literally came to life on the dance floor… Such an epic experience… It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it- it felt like we were in New Orleans.
Can’t wait to watch our wedding video and relive these moments! -

Big City Horns is amazing! Not only was the dance floor packed for the entire set, but Ben was super helpful and knowledgeable throughout the entire planning process. Our guests cant stop talking about how great the band was! It was definitely one of the highlights for us and they were even able to play Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton for our first dance! -

BigCity Horns was more then music at our wedding it was a performance. Everyone loved the horns section and how the band got the crowd into the wedding. I don't think there was one person in their seat while they were playing! -

Big City Horns! What can I say ... they know how to throw a party!
Lead singer and MC Ben Baia was extremely professional throughout the whole wedding planning process, especially when we had to change dates due to COVID. He was the perfect MC for the wedding and the band was absolutely fantastic the entire night! From start to finish, everyone was on the dance floor, thanks to Big City Horns!
For the Father/Daughter dance, my dad wanted to surprise me with our song. So he coordinated with Ben, and the way it turned out was so cool. It was a mash-up of Isn't She Lovely by Steve Wonder and Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns N' Roses. It was awesome!! We got our slow dance, which is every girl dreams of, but then we came out swinging with air guitars!! ... Another favorite part of the night was when the horns came out on the dance floor and played in the middle of our guests ! It was so much fun!

When my husband and I discussed which aspects of our wedding mattered most to us, it came down to photography and a band. We thought back on the best weddings we’ve attended and realized that each one had one thing in common: live music. After reading reviews and reaching out to Big City Horns, the decision to choose them to play at our wedding was a no-brainer.
Ben contacted me the same day I sent my inquiry, and within a week, he had spoken to both my husband and I at length about what we wanted the music at our wedding to feel like. Over the following months, we came up with a comprehensive set list that would be suitable for every guest at our wedding. Ben checked in with us each month leading up to the wedding and offered excellent advice and suggestions when we needed them.
Prior to the event, Ben coordinated with everyone involved in the reception, and the evening progressed flawlessly at his direction. The full band was fantastic, and the singing was superb. Unbeknownst to me, Ben even worked with my husband to surprise me with a song he wrote for the wedding. Big City Horns astounded me with their attention to detail and the care they took in making our wedding uniquely ours.
Everyone danced throughout the reception, and I received so many compliments during and after the wedding that the band was many attendees’ favorite part of the experience. Although live music is an investment, we thought it was worth it, and we’re still very pleased that was the decision we made.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience hiring Big City Horns for our special day. Ben and Maria customized their set to incorporate music that fit our taste and catered to our guests. They knew all of the right questions to ask us to make sure they had a solid game plan from start to finish. We loved that the short break included a live DJ set. We believe we got amazing value for the price. Guests kept telling us that they enjoyed the show the put on just as much as their music. Our dance floor was packed every single song. -

Big City Horns knows how to put on a show! We were so thrilled that we were able to work with them for our wedding.
Their process was very tuned to what we (the bride and groom) wanted for our wedding. A few months prior to our wedding date, they asked us to put together a list of songs/music that we liked.
They have a list of songs that they have played before on their website, so we used that and pulled in a few of our own that we would like to hear. We were able to establish what our tastes in music were which guided them to put together a set list that they would play.
There was a few songs that we really liked that they hadn't played before - they were able to find arrangements of the songs and get familiar with them before our wedding!
All of our guests could not stop raving about Big City Horns after the wedding (in fact they are still raving about how awesome they are!). They are absolutely one of the best if not the best band to book for weddings in upstate NY. -

Devon Sent on 09/22/2016Big City Horns did my wedding reception at Statler City on 9/17/16. All that I can say is that they absolutely made the reception! They put on an amazing show and were able to keep the dance floor packed. They do songs from all genres and styles and do every single one so well! All of the guests kept saying how incredible the band was.
My reception would not have been the same without them. Ben was so easy to work with while coordinating everything. I gave them the timeline for the reception and everything that I asked them to do, or any announcements that I wanted them to make they did. I knew that I did not have to worry about a thing.
Thank you Big City Horns for making my reception beyond memorable. If you want a live band that does an AMAZING job, definitely book Big City Horns!! -
