3 years ago, prior to my now husband and I dating, we attended a friends wedding where the DJ was awesome. As soon as we were engaged, we KNEW we needed to hire that DJ. We asked our friends and they pointed us to Bialeks - specifically DJ Brian Weber. He had us give playlists to him as a reference (we gave him must plays, dinner music, and general inspiration), and he absolutely crushed it on our wedding day. He played songs all the way through (no mixing which was important to us), and kept the party hopping - the dance floor was packed all night. Everyone from our friends (mid-20s) and our parents + their friends + family (50s-70s) all loved the music. DJ Brian made our wedding day so special, accommodated our requests, and blew us away with the music.Bialek's Music's reply:

We worked with Bialek to arrange a band for our daughter's wedding at the Army Navy Club. They were great to work with. Lots of choices and we selected District Groove. We couldn't be happier, they were fantastic from start to finish. Wide range of music, infectious energy, great voices and dance moves that kept the party going right up until the end of the night. We highly recommend them. -

DJ Joe did an incredible job at our wedding! He was easy to work with during the planning phase and helped us keep our friends and family on the dance floor all night. We cannot say enough good things about Capital Effect, they were one of the absolute best parts of our wedding! From the very start, they set the perfect tone with beautiful acoustic music for our ceremony, seamlessly carried the energy through cocktail hour, and then completely brought the house down during our reception. The dance floor was packed all night, and our friends and family were blown away, we kept getting asked throughout the night (and even days afterward) how we found such an incredible band. They’re talented, professional, and just so much fun. Truly unforgettable, we’d recommend Capital Effect to anyone looking to take their wedding to the next level! -

We had an amazing experience with DJ Theo on our wedding day! He did such a great job setting the reception area with beautiful lighting all around, which created the perfect atmosphere. DJ Joe and Bialek music were beyond anything I could have imagined for our wedding. DJ Joe was organized and sat down with us for two calls before our wedding to confirm the flow of the evening and our song selections. He even mashed up a few songs for us for our special dances. Most importantly, DJ Joe kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night, which was my number one goal for the wedding. Everyone raved about his playlist and said they couldn't leave the dance floor because the next song was just as good as the previous one. Highly recommend DJ Joe and Bialek music! -

Used DJ for ceremony and reception and everything was perfect ! DJ met with wedding planner and couple prior and couple were able to supply a list of songs. Company is very communicative- which is so important the day of the event you do not need to worry if the DJ will show up! System was high quality and we loved the lights too ! I had the pleasure of working with DJ Joe Taylor for an intimate June wedding at the Morrison House. Joe was super helpful and responsive during the weeks leading up to the wedding. His timeline was super seamless and easy to follow, and whenever I had questions, he was already on top of it! Joe had everyone on the dance floor the entire night, was on point with all of the song cues, and was very animated with his MCing. As a planner, we pride ourselves on working with a trustworthy and professional vendor team, we love working with Bialek's music and always have a wonderful experience. We had a great experience with Bialek's Music! Robin was super friendly and responsive, and having the Polaris Band play at our wedding was absolutely incredible! The energy they brought was electric. They were so engaging with the crowd, even bringing some of us up to rock the cowbell—it created such a fun, memorable moment for everyone.
The dance floor was packed, and their sound was impeccable. They played an extra song at the very end because no one wanted the night to end!

We had a wonderful experience working with Bialek's Music. Robin was incredibly responsive and so helpful as we navigated the D.J. selection process. We ended up using D.J. Aaron who was fantastic. It's no surprise that he is one of their most popular D.J.s because it was clear from the start how much time and energy he invests into your special day being great.
He was very attentive and accommodated all of our requests. Our guests raved to us after about the music and his ability to keep the energy on the dance floor all night long. Recently, we were fortunate enough to work with DJ Aaron of Bialek's Music on a beautiful and elegant wedding at the Mayflower Hotel. DJ Aaron was always ready to go with a positive attitude. As an Event Planner, I don't think it's enough to just have talented vendors. It's even more important to have a team around you who are problem solvers and show genuine care for the client and a love for what they do. Aaron is a true team player and kept the dance floor bumping all night long. He's also a great MC. We got so many compliments on the music and you took all of ideas and brought them to life so perfectly! Some of my friends could tell that is was “very Sarah” because they know my taste, which was what I wanted: for it to feel our “our wedding”, but also be mixed in with surprises and the Persian music, which I admittedly knew nothing about! A huge thank you to Elliot for blending together our ideas and making it feel very us! We had a blast and the dance floor always felt full and with great energy.

Everyone mentioned them when commenting on our wedding after the fact—things like "the venue was beautiful, etc., etc., but THE BAND!" We worked with Bialek to book 2 bands. String Trio were a wonderful trio for the ceremony. They were easy to communicate with, delightful in-person, and sounded beautiful. Black Tie was our reception band and....they just KNOCKED IT OUT! I can't tell you how many compliments we got for having them. Zach was super easy to work with leading up to it and the lead singer (whose name is escaping me right now) was so great as an emcee. The couple wanted a party, and they got a party!

We hired DJ Joe Taylor & a photobooth from Bialek's for our wedding on 7/27/24. DJ Joe was AMAZING! The dancefloor was packed all night - he was great at reading the crowd and keeping the party going. He knew how to balance MCing as well - he said just enough to get our guests excited and followed the timeline perfectly. In addition to being a great DJ, Joe and Robin at Bialek's (who organized communication & payment) were super easy to work with. Accommodating, receptive, and professional.
The photobooth was great too! One of the best deals you can get in the area for price and quality of service. We got to customize the background and photo strip design. Our guests loved it!

DJ Ellz was so awesome. He made the night so fun and he read the crowd perfectly. Everyone danced so much and he read the room great. Guests loved giving him requests and he even helped the groom's uncle perform a last minute song he wanted to sing. DJ Ellz knew we loved ABBA and he even helped us pick a fun ABBA last dance. He thoughtfully downloaded what we liked before. He set up the music for our ceremony perfectly and everything was timed really well. Very organized and met with us before the party to go through everything and learn more about us. He even caught an error that I typed into the program. DJ Roscoe is a fantastic professional who spoke with us three times before our wedding to understand our timeline, the flow of the evening, and our music requests. He kept the night's energy high and was responsive and warm when taking requests from guests. He also provided flawless AV support for our wedding ceremony and toasts. BIalek's Music was outstanding when it came to booking a DJ for our reception at the Smithsonian Natural History museum.
They were attentive, quick to answer questions and guide me through the process. They sent me a list of DJs to review and I picked my favorite to see if he was available.
DJ Stacc3 or DJ Mike was incredible! I had an international audience ranging from 10 years old - 75+... he hit the nail on the head and had them asking for an encore. He came with the whole setup; speakers, microphone, etc. When I asked him to make an announcement, he did not hesitate.

We hired a DJ and a photobooth through Bialek’s Music for our wedding. Chris helped us set up everything. He was prompt and courteous. Our only hiccup came with the photobooth. Before the wedding, we designed printouts for our guestbook and organized the props, set up, and overall layout. The issue came up on the wedding day. We thought the photobooth was coming with our DJ, but it was actually a third party. Our DJ took the lead and addressed the problem quickly with Chris. The photobooth and operator arrived well before our reception, but there was a moment in which we were not sure due to a communication error.
We chose DJ Mike for his style of blending genres and keeping the dancefloor full all night. Before the wedding, he found 30 minutes in a chaotic moment in his own life to meet with us and plan out the night briefly. He requested we develop a short playlist of must play songs, which he used as a basis for the entire night. The bride wanted to dance all night and DJ Mike made that happen. We highly recommend working with Bialek’s, particularly DJ Mike if you want a dance heavy party!Bialek's Music's reply:

We hired DJ Elliot for our wedding in March. The guests loved his set. He seamlessly wove together lots of different styles of music -- including songs that appealed to older guests. We got to work with DJ Mark Dennis for our wedding and we really lucked out! He is a true professional and his experience showed. Everyone had a great time and even people I did not expect would dance, ended up on the dance floor! He listened to us when we outlined our favorite music and several people commented on the great playlist. A great DJ is a must for your wedding, and we really found that here! -

We absolutely loved having DJ Carlos for our reception. He was sincere, kind, and kept the energy going on the dance floor. We reached out to Bialek's Music as they were a preferred DJ that was familiar with our venue. I emailed with Chris & Robyn who were awesome at answering my questions, sending their DJ packages, & making any changes I had leading up to our big day.
DJ Carlos was our DJ for and was amazing! We had a great intro call & questionnaire to get our musical tastes and rough timeline of our day.

Your wedding / event needs 24k
I truly cannot say enough good things about my experience with 24k as our wedding band.
We had Jill as our main contact ahead of and into the event and she was incredibly responsive and thoughtful. She made it easy from our end and I felt the entire time we were in great hands.
A fun and lively band / dance floor was one of our main priorities for our wedding and 24k absolutely brought it. The entire group had incredible energy and are very talented musicians. They played all of our songs for our dances live and sounded amazing. Also they took the preferences we shared ahead of the event and put together an absolutely incredible set list. We used Bialek's for our DJ and Photobooth, both were great experiences. Booking through the company was also very easy, they are a very responsive team so they made our experience stress free.
DJ Sway was phenomenal from start to finish. He was very easy going (great if you are a stressed bride ;) ) and helped put together a timeline, playlists, and gave some ideas when we were stumped. We emailed back and forth with a few ideas and he jumped on the phone when we needed.
He worked with our coordinator to make sure his timeline fit into our over run of show, which eased a lot of our worries and gave us a good understanding of how the day would go.
He was on time, professional, and everything sounded great. I believe he also worked w/ our videographer to make sure our microphones were set up correctly.
The ceremony was perfect.
The reception was also incredible - maybe I am biased because it was my wedding lol - but he played all the songs we requested and effortlessly created playlists that fit out crowd. The dance floor was bumping all night. What I particularly loved was that he made sure bride/groom were on the dancefloor for the songs we requested. I have been to other weddings where the bride/groom say they never heard the songs they asked for - and it seems their DJs played them when they weren't there.
Honestly, 10/10, 5 stars everywhere, DJ Sway really helped set the tone for the night and created a memorable wedding for us and our guests.
For the photobooth, we were able to create our own templates for photos which was awesome. John, the photobooth tech, was great. He set up quickly and helped all the guests with their pictures. Everyone got printed copies and a text with a link to download them later. We also got a link to download all the pictures from that night, which has been really fun to look at - and we can give some of these pictures as gifts.
Overall, we had a great experience w/ Bialek and definitely recommend them!!Bialek's Music's reply:

We absolutely loved DJ Joe Taylor & Cellist Tim Thulson with Bialeks! They both played at our wedding a few weekends ago and crushed it. Tim was so detail oriented & helped my husband & I pick out the perfect songs for our ceremony. He also played during our cocktail hour which was beautiful. Tim was so professional & kind the entire process! DJ Joe was incredible as well. He played all the songs we wanted to hear in a fun way, mixing some & playing them in an order that made sense of the progression of the night. Our guests loved his personality & fun nature! We got along with him great from day one & loved working with him. He also was so smooth with run of show for the reception. Choosing DJ Ivan to DJ our wedding was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We had a very diverse group & he really catered to every single one of our guests. Everyone was on the dance floor & having the time of their lives. Ivan was so personable and gave us his phone number so we could contact him whenever we needed to. We had a couple calls with him to go over what kind of vibes we wanted for our wedding and he delivered. Ivan played a great mix of pop, hip hop/rap, oldies hits, and latin music. Bialek's Music provided the DJ and strings duo for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, lunch reception, and dancing. We were very satisfied with the quality of service! The strings duo had a very extensive list of pieces that we chose from, and even was able to play a song we requested for the bridal procession that was not on their list. (The duo was two members of the Downtown Strings.) Our DJ (DJ John) was incredible! He provided the micing for our ceremony and the lunch reception and also DJ'd the dancing. He was very professional while having a cheerful, relaxed attitude. The sound support for the ceremony and lunch reception went off without a hitch. He also guided those guests of ours who delivered toasts very smoothly, and mixed the list of songs we requested (for the dancing) very nicely. We requested an Ella Fitgerald playlist as background music for the lunch reception, and it went off perfectly! Infusion (Infusionband.net) was ABOVE AND BEYOND extraordinary. Their ability to read the crowd throughout the night and their variety of genres was unbelievable. Our first dance, father&daughter, and mother&son songs were not in their (already extensive) song catalog and was shocked that not only did they learn the songs to sing live, but they KILLED it. I'm talking better than the original good.
The second wow-factor they brought was getting the party started-- We had our dinner break between first dances/speeches... Once everyone was finished eating, the band transitioned to an upbeat song to get everyone back up and dancing. It was that moment where everyone was looking for a cue that it was an open dance floor... the band gave it maybe 10 seconds before they stepped down onto the dance floor, started dancing themselves and inviting people up! I LOVED how they took the initiative to get everyone back up to get the party started.
Lastly, Infusion band is incredibly talented and it was such a privilege to have such an amazing band play at out wedding. Nita is absolutely a powerhouse, and Marcus... just... WOW. He has an extraordinary talent.
The cohesiveness and organization of the band (we had 9 incredibly talented musicians from Infusion) was next level. There is no comparison. A HUGE thank you to Infusion band to making our wedding night unforgettable and to Bialek's Music for providing the highest level of customer service from our first contact through the wedding day.
11/10 recommend-- hands down Infusion and Bialek's Music (who we booked though and how we discovered Infusion) are the best decision you will make for your wedding.
** We just had our wedding and have not received professional photos/video. The photos included are screenshots from guest's videos but wanted to convey the energy and power they brought to the day. -

We had a wonderful wedding experience with Bialek's Music and really appreciate everything that they did to make our day so special. DJ Alpha Sonic was a total pro throughout - the ceremony music and mics worked perfectly (this part had me nervous because I've been to other outdoor weddings where there have been audio issues during the ceremony and it can be awkward, so it was such a relief to have everything go smoothly and not have to worry about it), he played a great mix of tracks throughout cocktail hour and the reception to keep the energy up, and he was an excellent emcee. I'd sent him instructions with some special notes/requests a couple days before the ceremony and he followed through on everything to a tee. The uplighting and photo booth were also a really fun touch and I enjoyed seeing a constant stream of guests heading to the photo booth throughout the night. The photo booth tech was great, I recall thinking that it must be so annoying to repeat the same set of instructions to guests over and over again throughout the night, having to shout over music, etc. but he was patient and pleasant to interact with all night. Robin and Chris were extremely responsive throughout the planning process and answered all our questions about options, recommendations, pricing, packages, etc. and handled the logistics seamlessly so that we didn't have to worry and could simply enjoy the experience.
