I had a perfect wedding thanks to Rachel and the team. They all did a fantastic job! Several of our vendors (most of who were friends that work in the wedding industry) even commented on how smooth and seamless our wedding went in comparison to others they had worked with planners in the past. I knew BHive would do an amazing job but it's so rewarding to have others tell me how fantastic they did. Even with amazing friends and family we couldn't have done it without them! -

Rachel and Katie were really on point during our entire wedding. Exactly why we hired them. Rachel calmed our planning fears the moment we walked into her office and did not disappoint throughout the process. We wished we had hired BHive sooner. Highly recommend. -

Rachel was our wedding planner for my daughter's wedding. My daughter and I had interviewed numerous highly rated planners, but after meeting with Rachel and her staff, we both quickly agreed, we had found "our planner".
While Rachel is creative, professional, personable, and extremely competent, what makes her so special is that she REALLY listens to what you are saying, without any judgment, always embracing your ideas. She then takes your suggestions and brilliantly formulates them into the most perfect wedding any bride could ever hope for!
Ironically, the week of the wedding, we were all actually bored. We had little to nothing to do to prepare for the big day. Rachel had us completely organized with her check lists, timelines, instructions for what goes where and when, that you could just sit back and enjoy the entire week. People told us they had never seen such a calm family during a wedding week. I keep waiting for something unexpected to happen, but if it did, she never let on that there were any issues. The day of the wedding ran perfectly. That is a true professional! -

Wedding planning started off as an overwhelming project, but once we found Rachel and her team, the planning process was so much easier. We hired Rachel to do both our coordination as well as our wedding design and coordination at the Country Club and it was beyond money well spent. Rachel is such a blessing to work with. She's calm, responsive, organized, professional, and has great eye for wedding design. It's obvious that she has a lot of experience in the wedding and event industry. She not only prepped us and planned for things that we wouldn't have even planned for but also helped us prioritize extra décor in areas that were the most impactful. Thank you for everything, we would have been lost without you! -

I loved working with Rachael and Kate. We got exactly what we were expecting which was nothing less then first class service the entire way. They helped guide me and my fiancé through every step of the wedding, everything from timeline, to guest seating, down to who was responsible for cutting the cake. There are so many details that we had not considered, when we were looking at a wedding planner we were convinced that we just need someone to show up that day. We would have been lost had we not hired her for full service planning. -

My wife and I were extremely pleased with the service we received from BHive Events. Our day was perfect thanks to their organization and management. I don't plan on getting married again but I will recommend them to the guys I know getting married because it was such a help having them throughout this process. -

Ian and I are so thankful that we got the opportunity to work with Rachel and her team. They did an amazing job, had they not been there I am not sure what we would have done. They took care of every single detail we needed attended to. I was worried our timeline was going to be tight but they knew better than us. Our wedding even ran ahead of schedule!! (Does this even happen??) We will continue to highly recommend to all of our friends. -

All the girls were amazing to work with. We hired them for full planning and we were very pleased with everything start to finish. They took our ideas and created exactly what we had imagined, which I felt was pretty difficult. My sister is getting married next year and BHiveEvents was the first vendor I told her she had to call. Thanks for helping make our wedding the best. -

I can't say enough good things about Racheal and BHive events. They helped us on the day of our wedding. Racheal did such a great job with cordinating with our vendors. She helped us by keeping us on a realistic timeline. I've been to several weddings and I don't think any have flowed as nicely as ours although I might be a little biased. There was no worries about what to do next or if venders where ready for the next event. We literally had to do nothing except be there and get married. I can't thank Racheal and beehive events enough for making our day so stress free. I would highly recommend Racheal and her crew!!! -

For whatever reason, so many diy-based wedding websites try to convince you that having a wedding planner is an extra expense above and beyond what you need to have a wedding. We looked into so many venues that came with "a wedding coordinator," but that was the catch, it was for "a" wedding, not "your" wedding, not an "original to you, unique" wedding. We didn't just want "a" wedding at a venue that said this is your timeline and these are the colors so we turned to BHive Events. I will admit that I was skeptical. I didn't want to turn my idea and vision of my wedding over to someone else. I didn't want to turn over the control and have something go awry because I was somehow convinced by Weddingwire's planning tools and an over abundance of blogs that I could throw this shin-dig myself and still look like a million bucks the day of. (If you currently have similar feelings or can relate, read on.) The reason we signed with BHive Events is because my now husband saw that I was going crazy with all of the details and pressure of making it perfect on my own. The reason we STAYED with BHive Events is because the lead coordinator, Racheal, calmed every stress I had about the planning process. On the morning of our wedding, I was so calm and so was everyone else. Our makeup artist and hair stylists even commented on it! They said we were the best bridal party they ever worked for because no one was crying, aimlessly looking for things, or trying to finish up decorations. None of those things happened that morning because Racheal got it done. The rest of the day went smoothly as well. She kept the reception going according to plan and coordinated between the vendors (such as going back to the kitchen to check on the food before the DJ announces to make your plate. Did you know you need someone to do that? Yup. You do!) There are just so many details that can be overlooked until your in the heat of it. If you want more than "a" wedding--hire BHive Events! -

Can you really plan a wedding without a wedding planner? These guys were the best, professional, flexible, and amazing to work with. Rachel and her staff thought of everything we could possibly need. She rolled into the wedding with a giant suitcase toolbox looking thing and when I asked what it was she showed me. Seriously who brings a hammer to a wedding-BHive Events, and sure enough it got used. -

BHive Events is by far the best. Before we started we had no idea what went into a wedding. I mean, I thought I did, what with the vendors and the ceremony and the reception ... and basically that it all had to be everything my then fiancee wanted it to be. There is so much work that goes into every single decision and every single aspect of the wedding day. The amount of detail and knowledge you have to have to plan a wedding is crazy. We knew we had to hire someone. Then Rachel entered our lives. I felt like an hour with her was all it took for us to realize our vision, have a clear direction, and finally be stress free. Her and her team took care of everything we could possibly hope for and more. Things you never would have thought of to where what should go were expertly handled by her team. We were able to sit back and enjoy our day and we couldn't be more thankful. -

Racheal is a great person to work with, and on top of the details. I had no clue how to plan a wedding as I had never helped any other brides with theirs and had only been to one since I graduated high school. She was really informative and talked me through the whole process. We discussed things that should be addressed that normal people would not think about. Once I felt confident that I knew what I needed to do, I went to all the shows, visited vendors etc, and was able to make some educated decisions with the help of Racheal. Getting closer to the event, she was able to help me stay organized and helped me keep my head on my shoulders. She provided day of coordination for me as well, which (according to my photographer) was a tight schedule. She handled everything flawlessly, directing friends and family accordingly to make sure we kept to the time line. Incredibly we were right on time for everything, even with the rain making things a bit messy. Over all, definitely the way to go to make sure everything goes smoothly and you remain sane on your special day! -

I was terrified to wake up to unexpected rain on my wedding day but she immediately talked me off of the cliff and kept me calm. Her team sprang into action with backups to our backup plan. Things we didn't even think we needed they had covered. She called staff in to rush some changes we had to make last minute and I didn't even have to give a second thought to any of it. I thought that being a control freak in general I wasn't going to be able to relax but they gave me such a detailed run down when I started to freak that I knew they could handle the situation much better then I ever could.
I interviewed several planners before deciding on hiring BHive Events. I called and was immediately able to conduct a phone interview and provided references. They weren't the cheapest planner or the most expensive, but I certainly felt that Rachel could have charged more because their team was the best. Their references glowed about how wonderful it was to work with them and I am more then happy to be added to that list. *Forever Grateful* -

Rachel is quite possibly the best thing that happened to my wedding. I am a control freak and its hard for me to let go but I knew I didn't want to be stressed on my day, so I hired her. Straight from the start I knew she was going to be amazing and I just felt super comfortable. She was timely, never missed an email/call, and was on top of everything. HIRE HER!!! -

Rachael is a pro! I used her day-of services for my wedding this past weekend, and she was awesome! The day ran so smoothly; I got to relax and enjoy myself. Throughout the entire planning process Racheal did an extraordinary job at guiding me through the little details from the rehearsal to the ceremony and reception. Planning a wedding from out of town was a huge struggle but Racheal calmed my nerves and did an amazing job capturing my vision of the big day. We rate Rachel and BHive Events 0.00! She took our money ($1000.00 up front even though the contract said only 50% upfront) and did absolutely nothing for us. Once she had our money she stopped communicating with us. When we finally were able to talk to her, she lied to us about contacting our vendors. She said she contacted several of them and they denied this. She said she would send us a schedule and other information on disk. Each time she promised to send it by a certain time, she didn’t. We never did get one. Several of our vendors said they had heard other complaints about her. We fired her because she created more stress for us, not less. We had an amazing wedding without her. -

Well I am writing this review as a warning to others that are looking to use Bhive events. We contacted them last August to do a "day of" in April and assist with a few vendors. Once they cashed my check for $1,000, I didn't get much communication. I never received the vendor contracts as promised, any input on timeline etc. I had a few emails saying they would get back to me but for the past month I can't get any response to emails or phone calls. At this point, I assume they went out or business. I know there is at least one other person in the Columbia area that is having the exact same issues as I am having. And like me, they are left with no wedding planner and a lighter wallet. -

-The head wedding planner was not even at our wedding.She left someone to coordinate the day of activities (this is exactly what we hired Rachel for).The girl she left was out of her element.She had a check list but no knowledge of our wedding.She had no idea what was going on,had to ask others for assistance (once asking the groom–"do you know where the bridesmaids are?” before the ceremony),didn’t anticipate challenges before they happened (why we hired a wedding planner), didn’t know names of wedding party,she forgot about specific elements we had discussed prior to the wedding (e.g. putting champagne glasses out with the place settings and the timing of the champagne toast)–all very BASIC STUFF. The errors resulted in several prolonged delays
- Rachel never asked how the wedding went.She wasn’t there (mind you we hired her for a “day of planner”) and never asked how it went after. She did not forget to ask for her payment in full weeks before the wedding
- We didn’t have anyone to cut the cake, Rachel agreed to do it, but for $150. Hard to imagine how she would have cut the cake since she wasn’t at the wedding
- For 7-8 weeks we were unable to communicate with Rachel, this was 2-3 months before the wedding when we nailing down specifics. We eventually got a brief explanation, but communication prior to the wedding was a challenge
- we have nothing against her personally, she seemed like a pleasant and organized person, but in the end we found her wedding planning to be incredibly subpar, and can’t think of anything she did that was actually helpful. We had a great photographer, florist, DJ, officiant, caterer (none of which Rachel helped secure) – each of which made our wedding a great success. We were hoping hiring a day-of wedding planner would take stress off of ourselves and our family from coordinating day of events and unforeseen obstacles, but this was not the case
- I would absolutely NOT recommend hiring BHive!! -

I wish i could rate their service a BIG FAT 0! I will not get into the details as we are in the middle preparing our lawsuit against them. Please save yourself the headache and heartache, find another planner. -
