Have purchased 2 Amora stone gems from better than diamond, and had a great experience both times. We got Amora stones because we like them. They are more brilliant than diamonds and after owing them, it's hard to go back to diamonds.

Better than diamonds customer support was fantastic both times. They designed custom settings for us and they sent updates promptly whenever we asked. Overall great experience!

I had a excellent experience with betterthandiamond.com. If you just do a quick search of their site, you can see that an asha diamond sim doesn't last forever, most of the customers said so on their forums so I knew what to expect when I brought my asha. I loved it but I was very careful with it because it is a cz and its not bulletproof and it's not a forever stone. Do your research! When you're on the order page it tells you there's No Warranty. If I was to break a real diamond after I brought one, I wouldn't expect the jeweler to give me another one for free lol. Anyways the asha sim is completely gorgeous and a great stand in sim, just make sure you put it in a high quality mount.

I was so excited to order my engagement ring through better than diamond! It was absolutely gorgeous, but very obviously a fake diamond. Let me start by saying that I work a desk job. I do not do any physical work with my hands... BUT, within 6 months of purchasing the ring, it had large pits in the stone, one prong was loose and the other prong had a crack across the middle. We took it to a jewelery store to see if they could fix the bent prong (we were aware of the other cracked prong at the time) and that's when she showed us the extend of the damage. We knew the stone looked rough (not sure how or why?) but we didnt realize the quality of the white gold band was so poor as well.
All in all, they were very nice and refunded us our money, even though we were outside of the usual time frame. I wouldnt say it was EASY getting the money back, but in the end, they were accommodating.

    Horrible experience

I am really saddened that I have to post my experience with BTD's quality and service, but I feel like I have no other options and I need some help with the direction to go.

I bought the Timeless Alondra Ring with a 3.0-carat Amora Eternity Super Ideal H&A Round on 10/5/2020. The communication and turnaround were ok/good and could have been better, but my first purchase from them in 2014 was perfect, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I got the ring timely and proposed to my now wife.

On April 2022 (10 months ago), prior to our wedding, I also ordered the Alondra Wedding Band and relayed about a warping issue I experienced on the engagement ring. They said I could send in the engagement ring for repair at the same time I placed the order for the band. So I placed the band order on 5/31/2022 and after that, all communication was pretty much non-existent, I didn't even receive an order confirmation email. I have followed up numerous times to see what I needed to do to repair the ring with none of my emails being answered.

Last week, my wife shows me the engagement ring and it has lost integrity in the main stone. To my surprise, one of the prongs is completely bent. In the original repair question email, BTD specifically mentioned that one prong becoming dislodged or getting knocked sideways is extremely rare. My wife doesn't work with her hands very much, if at all and she has repeatedly told me that she did not hit it hard on anything, so she doesn't know how it could have happened.

BTD is always touting their craftsmanship and saying how their cutting edge high-pressure enhanced process causes densification to the metal yielding a finished ring up to 20% harder than normal platinum, HOW COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED?

I have tried emailing, calling, submitting a support ticket, posting on the message boards and they just have been silent through the whole thing

I am very disappointed because I feel my wife thinks I cheapened out on the ring, I showed her the HPE process, and told her it was platinum, but I don't think she has faith that BTD was being truthful.

Here are the pictures and video of the ring below: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5u3jf2zrznaw3wj/AAChOYKVFN-sSeUvdfg6YSEVa?dl=0

I would not recommend anyone buying anything from BTD if this is how they handle their customer service. Don’t spend your hard earned money on a company that really don’t value their customers let alone provide a simply reply.

I went to betterthandiamond for an engagement ring and it was the worst decision I have ever made. The ring arrived and looked amazing. However, 2 weeks later the palladium snapped while my fiancee was sleeping. I told them about it and their response was that my fiancee shouldn't wear her ring while she is sleeping. What!?! I sent it back and they gave me a new ring, but this time they got it wrong, and tried to put the blame on me. I sent that ring back. They told me they had a new ring ready and they just needed to transfer the stone. Okay, shouldn't be a problem. Nope. Three weeks later I email them asking what's going on and they give me excuses about a bad cast, how the cast was worn, and how their jeweler had to make a new CAD drawing which is bogus. I am a CAD programmer and know you would already have those files saved. They also told me they found imperfections in the metal which contradict the pictures they sent me explaining their problem. I asked for a rebate and they told me they would knock off $100 from the price which they never did. 5 failed rings later I asked for my money back and they charged me a 10% lost labor few and an extra 15 bucks because I didn't send back a cardboard box. This company is the worst. Do not make the same mistake I made.

Better Than Diamond is a scam. Phone # out of service

Do NOT waste your time or money purchasing anything from Better Than Diamond. I have spent countless hours for the past 5 weeks (daily emails to them have all gone unanswered) trying to find a way to reach them to no avail. Reported the fraud to my cc co. The order update said "stone ready" for 5 weeks and they have sent nothing but an email confirming they charged me over 3k for a ring that they never sent. Looked up the CEO and his name is Less (cant make this up). He had three connections on LinkedIn and no photo nor information. I am making an effort to explain why you should NEVER buy anything from BetterThanDiamond so noone else suffers the same fate.

About 10 months ago I was searching the net for an inexpensive engagement ring. I had a few choices to go with but after reading a popular forum I decided to go with the betterthandiamond ring that has an Asha in it. It finally came and the setting was okay and the stone was not bad. However, 9 months later the rhodium was already fully worn all over the ring and worst of all the top of the stone looked like someone took sandpaper over it. It wore like a cheap CZ, except i spent quite a bit more for it. I contacted betterthandiamond and they had the audacity to tell me that 1. They do not offer any warranty for this stone (Whatttttt!!.....Everyone reputable company stands behind their product with a warranty!, but NOT this one). 2. Their stone is only scratch resistant and not scratch proof. From all the pages and pages of information on their website, it would seem that this stone was bullet proof. Totally misleading. And to add insult to injury, they wanted almost the full purchase price for a replacement. What a joke! You sell a $4 CZ and then expect me to pay hundreds for another piece of crap. You have got to be kidding. I should have been smart enough to realize that their so called reputable Forum is actually hosted directly from their own website and is moderated by the owner and employees. Talk about Biased. No matter what anyone says, its always shot down and compared to their perfect Asha. Meanwhile, the stone is a total rip off and fake. Again, I should have looked further as I found this ripoff report after the fact:
    http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/Better-than-diamond/internet/Better-than-diamond-purchased-Asha-simulant-and-synthetic-sapphire-showed-immediate-signs-944441

I am now looking for a true synthetic lab diamond that will not scratch like a cheap Asha CZ.
