Didn’t play the music I asked for. Got lights for extra pictures that never happened. She was extremely rude to my guests and when I asked her about these things she said I was fishing for things wrong?!? What? No these are things my guests said she did and said to them!!! She made it seem like the lights were going to be amazing outside after dark and they didn’t even turn them on!!! We paid 300.00 extra for a rude overrated dj! It wasn’t the best of anything. She miked up the officiant right. So there’s that. But when you have multiple people from different walks of life tell you she was rude and not accommodating it really sucks! She was gas lighting me in emails afterwards. STAY AWAY -

Susan was the best DJ we could ever ask for, she was kind and was patient with my Husband and I, since we practically knew nothing of what we were doing. Her prices are good and she was very flexible and she had our guest entertained and had alot of music. -

Susan was the rockstar of our wedding! The whole night, people kept telling us how much they were enjoying her music and hosting. She was very communicative throughout the months leading up to the wedding, flexible with our needs and questions, and transparent the night-of so I still felt like I had a hand on the schedule without needing to think about it much at all. She took our song requests and spun them into others we also loved but had forgotten to ask for! There was a little something for everyone, and she accommodated our guest requests with grace and skill.
If you do one thing for your guests, let her run the musical chairs scavenger hunt game! She’ll explain it to you, but essentially players run out into the audience to grab a given item from the other guests and sprint back to grab an open chair. It’s a great way to get both your players and audience engaged and energetic before the dance floor opens. My husband was unsure at first but quickly thanked me for talking him into it once the game got going. We picked small, inexpensive prizes local to our hometowns and current city, which our players loved. One of the standout moments of our wedding (which a friend aptly described as happening in slow motion) was our groomsman sprinting for the final chair, sliding off, and ending up under the head table. No one is going to forget that part of the night. Truly, Susan got the energy up and kept it going all the way to our sparkler exit. I never imagined our reception would be as FUN as she made it, but I wouldn’t trade that night for the world. Thank you, Susan!! -

Wow. Susan really went above and beyond. I'm a wedding/event planer and I found Susan for a client in need of an amazing DJ for their Holiday Party and Susan TOTALLY delivered. Can't wait to work with them again. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a good laugh and to never stop dancing. -

Our experience with Susan was excellent from the beginning. Our initial phone call I expected to last 10-15 minutes as a short introduction but it lasted 45 minutes! She was more than willing to answer all of our question and even let us book almost a year and a half in advance. She sent us her DJ worksheet which was super easy to use and we had pretty much total control of the whole playlist. Our guests loved the fact they could request songs throughout the night, too. There ere a couple of hard song changes, going from a fast song to a really slow song that threw some people off at the beginning but otherwise our experience was amazing. If I could get married every weekend, I'd hire Susan over and over again. -

They were wonderful to deal with. From the first email to the last it was amazing. And even though we didn’t get to actually use their service due to covid they made cancelling zero hassle. Our only regret is that we couldn’t enjoy them on our wedding day -

I was so impressed with Susan from the moment we first met with her. She was very upfront about what she offered as well as how it compared to what others offered. She answered all of my questions quickly. I never had to wait more than a few hours to hear back from her. She was very flexible the day of when our timeline changed drastically. I would ask for a change and she had no problem adjusting to the change. The only thing that went wrong was with our processional music. The song cut off before my husband and I were on stage and my husband did not get to walk down to what he had wanted to. However I will say she was not using her own equipment but the venues and this may have caused the issue. I consider it a small thing in regard to the amazing service and flexibility that she offered the day of. If we ever had need for a dj again we would for sure hire Susan without blinking an eye. She is completely worth your money. You can trust her with your wedding needs! Thank you so much for everything!! -

Susan was organized and a great communicator from the day we reached out until our wedding day. She had all of the songs prepped, offered suggestions while taking cues from us, and the guests loved the dance floor all night. She offers a very reasonable price and we would highly recommend for your wedding or party! -

DJ Susan was phenomenal. Excellent service, extremely flexible and responded very quickly when I reached out to her. In no way were we disappointed. For our contract, she had us pay a flat rate and then charged the day of the wedding for additional hours. I thought the reception and dancing was going to last longer than it actually did, and when the time came she was ready to pack up and only charged us for those additional hours she worked. She has common sense, can read the crowd, is customer oriented and made sure every song I outlined in my requests were played. PICK HER COMPANY! You will not regret it. -

Polished and proficient
Absolutely delighted with "Best Tacoma DJ" experienced handling of music playlists and cues at our daughter's wedding. She was extremely helpful by not only having online work sheets and tips for the event, but also was quick to connect with (emails, texts and phone calls) during the decision making process. She made certain the venue had all the necessary equipment, which kept the cost down, but more importantly, she had the correct versions of the songs we wanted played.
Pricing is extremely fair and you are given the option of paying for extra time the day of the event so you're not paying for time you won't be using.
She was prompt, competent and unobtrusive. Her friendly and calm demeanor made for a 'stress free' experience. -

Susan worked with my husband and I to create the right ambiance at each point throughout the evening. The service, cocktail hour, speeches, dancing, our entrances... it was all timed and orchestrated perfectly. She was also a great and respectful MC, who kept us on our schedule. We decided to go with Best Tacoma DJs because of their prices and Susan on the phone was extremely friendly. Throughout the wedding process and day of she was extremely involved and always very friendly with guests. Susan also asked to bring her new dance lights to test during my wedding as a courtesy and this was a nice touch that was appreciated on our wedding day! The only thing difficult about navigating working with Best Tacoma DJ’s is that I was a bit confused when working on the DJ worksheet with my coordinator and for the future, it may need to be clarified. Overall Susan was amazing, and the music helped to make our day extremely special. -

Susan is so helpful and accommodating throughout the planning process and on the day of. She provided a worksheet for us to complete with important songs we wanted played and a "no-play" list. She had everything prepared and ready to go on the wedding day. She was very flexible and had no problem adjusting the timeline of the day, and reading the crowd. Her pricing is very affordable as well. All our guests had so much fun!
