Great wedding DJ

John at best of times was amazing he was willing to work with us and our request , he even helped my MOH do a special dedication during her speech. I would recommend them to anyone needing a great DJ, they are also reasonable in price

Nonstop fun

Best of Times DJs did not disappoint! I knew about them from my friend’s wedding. They did a great job there, so we booked them for our wedding in April. John was awesome. Very organized, and was there every step of the way, which made it very helpful especially for first time brides! They kept the party going, and got people out on the dance floor. So happy.

Amazing DJ's that elevated our event to the next level!

These are some amazing people who truly took care in our vision for our wedding and how they could enhance that. Fantastic team and great DJ and entertainment throughout the entire evening! Highly recommended for any and all events!

Excellent music-Fun Props Giveaways-Great Experience

The DJ organized a group song and the Tarantella. Our guests were up and joining along immediately. The music flowed perfectly through the night revving everyone up for the fast pace at the end. The props, light ups and giveaways just kept being giving out from beginning to end. The DJ was 100% was made this event something we will never forget.

Excellent DJ!

We had the pleasure of working with John as our DJ. We could not be happier! After changing our date due to the pandemic, he was so understanding about everything. In 2015 we were also able to celebrate with John during my sisters wedding. We had no doubt that everyone would get onto that dance floor with all the props they had to offer. We had lots of laughs while interacting with our guests & the variety of music was excellent! Best of Times was so easy to work with and they are a blast!

Great DJ and very affordable

We were so happy with John being our DJ. He made us feel like we didn’t have to worry about a thing. It was obvious that he knew what he was going from the start. Our wedding was a blast and even being a daytime wedding he got our guests up and dancing!

Made our Day Special

John was a pleasure to work with for our November 2020 wedding. When we had to reschedule from May John was flexible and attentive to our concerns and needs. The day of wedding John and his assistant were great. He kept our guests dancing and and provided lots of great props that our guest truly loved and had fun with. My favorite thing John did was take a song from my dinner play list That's Amore and made it special and made up little papers for the tables with the words and incorporated it into a fun sing along with the guests. Such a wonderful fun touch!!!! Overall I would highly recommend Best of Time's DJs for your next event .

Best DJ Around!

My husband and I loved working with John! He was the DJ for our wedding and he brought the life to the party! He was very involved and his partner Brian who worked with him at the reception made sure people were having a great time. John had a few interactive songs and games for the guests without taking too much away from our special day. They also provided dance props which only got more people to dance and have fun! We really had the best experience with them!!

Perfect Wedding DJ

Best of Times DJs truly made our wedding day even more spectacular. All our guests had a wonderful time and kept commenting on how amazing the DJ was. They really loved the involvement of the guests into the entertainment. The "competition" between the different tables and all the props handed out on the dance floor made the night even more fun! The music was exactly what we asked for. Best of Times did a perfect job! I would highly recommend them for your next event!

I have been to quite a few weddings and Derek from Best of Times is the absolute best. People are still talking about how great my DJ was. My guest loved him, everybody danced. I highly recommend. I can’t wait to plan my next even just to hire him again.

Beyond incredible

All there really is to say is BOOK BEST OF TIMES! John and his team brought so much life to my wedding. The music, the guest interaction, the entertainment, it was all just perfect. We loved working with Best of Times for our wedding! Aly and her assistant were great! Aly worked with me before the wedding to go over all the details. I appreciated her help and recommendations! She was very flexible with some of the changes we had to make a few days before the wedding. Aly and her assistant kept the guests on the dance floor the whole night. We worked with Mitchell at Best of Times. He was great to work with. He spoke with us leading up to the wedding and got a feel for what we were looking for. He was very courteous to all our guests and really got everybody on the dance floor. He really exceeded our expectations and we'd recommend him to anyone.

We hired Best Of Times to do our son's wedding in August. We could not have been happier with our choice. John, Aly, and team were all very professional from start to finish. The wedding reception was one of the best I have been to thanks to John. He not only played music, he entertained through out the reception, getting everyone on the dance floor all night. The props were were so much fun! Everyone I spoke to after the wedding commented on how awesome the DJ was. Thank you John and team! Best of Times came highly recommended from a family friend and certainly did not disappoint for our wedding! We went with the John Estrada package, and I would absolutely recommend ensuring that John is your DJ for your upcoming wedding! John and his team were extremely responsive throughout the process, and he took the time to meet with us leading up to the wedding to get a feel for our taste(s) in music. My now-husband and I have completely different music preferences, and John was able to find a happy medium that kept both us and our guests on the dance floor all night! John and his assistant were professional and friendly with all of our guests - they checked in with us to ensure that the volume was just right and were more than happy to play any song that I asked for throughout the night. They even had a friendly competition going between our tables throughout the evening, and our guests are still talking about the props and costumes that they brought with them! Thank you to John and Best of Times for a wonderful experience!

My husband and I could not recommend the Best of Times more! We were very happy with our DJ service at our wedding reception. We specifically worked with John Estrada. He was one vendor leading up to our wedding we felt very secure working with and as you can imagine how important that is when there is so much coordinating during the pre planning wedding process! John was always very responsive to my questions leading up to our big day. He reached out to me to review exactly what we wanted. Speaking with other vendors I was impressed to hear that John contacted them as well prior to introduce himself and coordinate anything with them they may be needed. John had the perfect mix of playing our requests while being able to read the crowd on a spontaneous basis throughout the evening to keep the dance floor going. We received so many compliments from our guests how great our dj was! John himself came up to my mother and grandmother along with myself during the reception to make sure we were enjoying everything and okay with how loud the music was. This is just one example how Best of Times went above and beyond our expectations and showed tremendous professionalism. Thank you for making our wedding amazing!

Words cannot express how happy we are that we chose Best of Times to DJ our wedding. We worked with John and an assistant of his. From the first meeting, John was professional and attentive to detail. We received a guideline and suggested song list to help us choose our songs. John helped make our day better then we could have imagined. The music selections were perfect. He checked in with us and our parents several times throughout the ceremony. John was engaging with our guests and had just about everyone up and dancing. We had so many guest complimenting our DJ and how amazing they were. We would highly recommend Best of Times to anyone! They made our day that much better.

Incredible! Best of Times worked with us from start to finish, answering all of my (many) questions. They send over a very detailed checklist to make sure we didn't miss anything that we had wanted. 1 week prior to the wedding my DJ, Nick Foley got in contact with us and he was fantastic, we spoke on the phone several times leading up to our day and gave me his cell number so I could text him about any changes or questions (which I did!!) Day of, Nick arrived very early to set everything up for the ceremony and then the Reception, the music choices were perfect, he listened to exactly what we had in mind. Even when I couldn't figure certain selections out he gave awesome suggestions. I highly recommend Best of Times and Nick! The prices are affordable, the services is wonderful and they make you feel incredibly loved!

We had our wedding on April 16th, 2016 and three months later we are still receiving compliments on how much fun everyone had. Derek called us the week before our wedding and made sure he had all of the bridal party names correct and all the songs were planned out perfectly. Everyone had a prop or three and even the guests who don't like to dance were having a good time and were involved in the fun. We are so incredibly happy that we chose Best of Times DJs for the most important day of our lives, they did more than we could've ever imagined! Thank you for making our day so special

DJ Derek was amazing and kept the dance floor packed the whole night. The venue even commented on with the first song how everyone jumped to their feet and starting dancing in record time. It was awesome how interactive he was with our wedding guests and even kept people entertained during dinner. You can tell he really does enjoy doing his job. The props were a great touch and our ring bearer especially loved them. At the end of the night everybody was asking for his contact information.

We cannot say enough about the professionalism, talent and performance of Vince Rotondi from Best of Times. Our's was a destination wedding, therefore there was no opportunity to review in advance. Although the reviews were great, it is still somewhat a roll of the dice for such a big event. We can tell you that from our first conversation with Vince, our minds were at ease. He was thoughtful and thorough in making sure he understood our requests. The things we weren't sure about, he graciously offered advice. And things we couldn't answer, he simply said "I will take care of it". And he did at the highest level.
The reception whet off without a hitch. In fact, the ceremony received a great boost as Vince was there and helped out where needed for our small outside wedding. He became one of the family! His performance truly made the event one for the ages and one people are still talking about. For the bride and groom...what more could you ask for? Vince was exceptional. We could not be more satisfied.
Starting with John Estrada through to Vince's performance Best of Times more than came through for us.

I would definitely recommend Best of Times DJs! They were very professional and easy to work with and provided a fantastic selection of music. My guests were complimenting us on choosing such a good DJ (one request we had was that the music not be terribly loud - we had a bunch of older guests - and John and Susan were able to accommodate graciously!).

Our DJ Derek was wonderful! Super friendly, hospitable, reliable, and helpful. We had a short reception and he managed to play all of our requested songs! He even provided fun props and danced with us! Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

My husband and I hired Best of Times DJ's for our October wedding ceremony and reception. Both exceeded any hopes we had, thanks to the exceptional talent and professionalism of John Estrada. Every single song was 100% perfect, and my guests and I danced from start to finish. John has a great deal of experience in DJing weddings and it showed in the seamless, effortless way he directed our celebration. He showed a lot of consideration for my guests by checking in to make sure the volume level was appropriate, and he came to us a few times to make sure everything was to our liking. He also brought a few surprises with him that made for some of the best photos and memories. I could go on and on in praise of their high quality, so let me sum up by saying that our guests have not stopped complimenting us on how talented and personable our DJ was, and I would absolutely hire Best of Times again in a heartbeat!

Best of times was amazing! Our wedding was at Northampton Valley Country Club both indoor and outdoor and John was able to accommodate all of our requests. Guests complimented how he was able to get them involved and that the music was never too loud and was just right. John was easy going and played our requests of both Greek & American music.... I met John Estrada while working at a venue and am so happy I chose him for my own wedding. I've lost count of how many times my husband has said, "John was so awesome!" He made planning easy and helped the day-of run smooth by going over every little detail ahead of time. He engaged our guests without being over-bearing and was able to "read" the crowd to keep everyone entertained. Our guests had so much fun with the props he provided. This DJ service I had for my wedding. We were pleased with their DJ service so much we have been using them ever since. The Dj's are very professional. Our guests continually rave about what a wonderful time they had. The Dj's are very entertaining with their interaction with the audience. They supply a tremendous amount of party hats, etc. We recommended these Dj's for years and everyone has been satisfied with their services. They do truly show you the "best of times." We have been using their services for four years in a row at our fundraising event and our events have been a great success. Thank you to Best of Times DJ's.

John Estrada provided his professional Disc Jockey service for my wedding and it was truly an amazing time. He played a great mixture of music that suited all of my guests. He took request from guests and played what they had requested. Very professional and friendly. Many of my guest commented on how great the DJ was with playing all the great tunes and keeping everyone out on the dance floor dancing the night away. Our venue was very unique. Our guests thought they were coming to a 40th Birthday/Graduate School Graduation. Two hours into the party my fiance and I,along with five bridesmaids and five groomsmen, inconspicuously ducked out to bridal/groom rooms where I changed into my wedding dress, the girls and I grabbed our flowers, and where the men donned their suit jackets and applied their boutonnieres The D.J. Derek Timothy did an awesome job of distracting our guests while we exited the room. The way in which he subtly announced that we had a surprise and then making sure he played the 3 different songs we chose for the processional (guys, girls, then me) was impressive! After all was said and done Derek did a great job entertaining the guests by interacting with everyone on the dance floor and using props. It was a great night!!!!

Chris Thornton was the DJ at our wedding reception on Sept.2, 2012. He was Excellent! We could not have had a better DJ experience. I had this DJ service for my wedding. They were wonderful. The DJ's were so nice. They kept my guests having fun. They were very interactive with my guests. They had so many props. I have been recommending this DJ service ever since my wedding. They are truly worth their value.

John Estrada and his assistant made my daughter's wedding a huge success!! It was a beautiful event and John kept the party going until the very last minute! All of our guests have told us how much fun they had and how great the music was! John was able to take care of any problems that come up, (my fault) but he just took care of the problem and no one was any the wiser. He was the ultimate professional and helped us from the day we contacted him to the last few minutes of the reception. I am telling everyone I know, to use Best of Times DJS, they are the best! I can't thank them enough for the wonderful job and fantastic memories!

DJ Will Yip did an amazing job creating an atmosphere that united both sides of the family (since my side is Chinese, and my husband's is American) He was able to MC in Chinese and in English, which was very impressive. Family members who do not typically dance were actually on the floor and having a great time! Compared to the other DJ services (and we had looked into many), they were top notch!

The Best of Times (215-699-2466) were absolutely amazing. They played ALL the songs my hubby and I asked for in advance, mixed our crazy 1st dance for us, and had EVERYONE at our wedding dancing and having a great time. They are extremely professional, reliable, easy to work with, and really know how to make your night special. Best of Times DJ made our wedding a HUGE success!! Special thanks to John and C.J. for keeping our guest on the dance floor ALL night! I could not believe we had a floor full of people dancing until the very last song played out! Also, I was so happy to hear just about every song I requested on my song-list...so I could not get off the dance floor myself, even though I was soooo hot in my dress, I had to keep dancing! We have used Best of Times DJ's at our company party for 4+ years. John and his team are consistently excellent. The response time is good, they follow the vision that you have and offer helpful suggestions, and they interact with the guests to make the event over the top. There is no way we would use any other DJ because we can not say enough great things about Best of Times!

Our DJ was the topic of all of the wedding talk afterwards! They were awesome! They got everyone up and dancing and having a blast! I saw people on my wedding video dancing that usually NEVER get out of their seats!!

Jake DJed our wedding for Best of Times at Marjeane Caterers on May 24. He was fantastic! He did a great job of entertaining the crowd, and balancing the requests, which is not easy to do when you have a LARGE number of people in their 40s and 50s who love music and dancing, and then a bunch in their teens through early 30s who love a completely different kind of dancing! Add in an 11 year old daughter and 9 year old son of the groom, and Jake's job was not easy, but he did it perfectly! He was a big part of why our night went off without a hitch. Thank you Jake!

I picked this company because they made me feel confident that they'd been to my venue and had real experience as a company. I was so nervous because I had no idea how to pick a dj! But they were great. Their rates were very reasonable and yet I was getting all that I wanted and more! Derek was my dj and he was great. He helped walk me through some things because by the end you're so overwhelmed with the number of decisions you have to make that you're just done with it all! I had a great time at my wedding and I felt like he went with the crowd and all my guests had an amazing time! I am so happy I picked them.

I could not recommend this DJ company more highly. After booking this company to DJ our wedding, they sent us a large packet of information concerning the event and music they would provide. This included allowing us to list the songs we would like played (and more importantly would not like played) at our wedding, the order of the reception, the songs we'd like played during dinner, etc. If they didn't have the song we wanted in their library, they went out and found it for us. We also had special mash-up songs that we planned to use for our first dance and they made sure to use what we created. I also wanted to sing to my bride at the reception with my groomsmen, and our DJ Nick was very helpful in having that set up without the bride's knowledge. My wife and I were also very pleasantly surprised to see the dance floor completely packed for the most of the night, beginning immediately after the traditional wedding dances. Nick and his team were great at interacting with our guests during dinner and the rest of the evening. The props they gave out were hilarious and really added to the event. Our guests could not stop talking about how much fun they had that night. Thank you Best of Times for making our reception truly memorable and A LOT of fun!!

We chose Best of Times for our wedding because one of their DJs did my brother's 16th birthday party and we were pleased with that experience. So we asked for the same DJ (Derek) to do our wedding reception and we were 100% satisfied. He was professional, took all of our requests and "don't play" song list seriously. People were having a great time and dancing until my husband and I left the reception. It was perfect! We also loved the way songs were faded into one another, instead of having that awkward silence in between dance songs...perhaps this is standard, but I've been to weddings without it, so I took notice and definitely appreciated it. Good price, professional DJs, and they will take time to understand your preferences and vision for your wedding ahead of time so you can relax. Choose Best of Times!

John Estrada was extraordinary. We got a deal for free uplighting, which our venue did not provide, and it was beautiful. First of all, I am very picky about DJ's and music, as I used to work for one. John met with us twice before the wedding to review everything and every detail. The day of the wedding, he moved at lightning speed to make sure everything was right and everyone was happy. He asked both of our parents about the volume of the music, and checked in with us several times. He even devised a game with a unique photography service we had at the tables in order to involve our guests. He engaged them, got them on the dance floor, and had his finger on the pulse of the party to make sure that everyone had the time of their lives. We have been saying since our wedding ended that if anyone did not have a good time, it was their own fault. John will literally go above and beyond for you, and seems to "get" the type of party and mood you are going for. We love him and will use him whenever we need a DJ. It will be nearly impossible to consider anyone else. He is truly top notch.

John was a wonderful DJ! He got the crowd involved from the very beginning, and that was a hit! He was very interactive with guests of all ages. The kids loved the props he handed out, and so did the adults! Music variety was decent, and mixed to keep or get people on the dance floor. We had a great night, and I would recommend Best of Times for any event in the future!

Our DJ was Dave and he did a good job getting some people to dance but the only complaint I have is I wish he played more of the music that my husband and I picked out. All in all people still had a great time and had fun with the props. Dave was very nice and worked well with the timing of everything and called me the weekend before to make sure that he understood everything that I wanted.

We were very pleased with our experience with Best of Times. We used Derek for a DJ based on a previous recommendation and I am happy with our decision. He was very professional and easy to work with. My only complaint was that he played more of his own songs than mine, and also did some things I was not aware he would be doing.

Didn't live up to expectations

This is a very tricky review to write, because Best of Times DJs (BOTDJs) made multiple pretty significant mistakes during our event, but also they went above and beyond in other ways.

Let's start with the positives:
- All of the equipment worked without any glitches
-The guests consistently stayed on the dance floor
-They have great recommendations for all the different parts of the wedding ceremony (processional, recessional, introduction of the couple)
-I have some truly crazy family members that are honestly a bit unstable, and one of the two guys with BOTDJs spent a very large amount of time dancing with, talking with, and just overall keeping very good control of these 2 family members. It was not part of their job at all but they did it consistently and it really helped the night by a lot

Negatives: The general idea is that we spent an incredibly long time filling out this extensive form BOTDJs requires you to fill out. It has family names, order of operations, requested songs, last dance song, do not play list, etc. Our DJ definitely had that form, and we discussed this on the phone not once but twice to ensure he had all the songs on the list, but then they royally messed up multiple things

-Right before our ceremony started, with all of our guests sitting there, he had a VERY explicit song playing along the lines of "open dat ass up bitch"...NOT great.
-During the literal introduction of us as a married couple, the DJ kept pushing for us to do the wedding party introduction, so we did it. We had 8 members of the wedding party, and he listed 7 of them, then switched to our introduction song! We were literally shouting "YOU FORGOT ONE" to him, and his assistant even saw us waving our arms pointing to the last bridesmaid, but he still kept going with introducing us! It was incredibly awkward, the last bridesmaid had to walk in to our intro song, it was like 45 seconds of stuttering and silence until he realized what happened, so that's a really rough way to start a party
-We got completely blindsided - he had this whole weird sing-along to That's Amore, for which he put sing-along cards on every table and he asked all of our guests to sing along to this song. And he NEVER TOLD US HE WAS GOING TO DO THIS. We just started dancing to it a minute in because it was awkward and confusing. I get having fun with a wedding, but you should NOT blindside the couple with wedding-wide sing-alongs without checking that it's okay first
-During toasts, he called my mother my wife's mother. Then called my stepmom my mom. He completely lost track of who was who. Which, again, had specifically been written out on the form AND we had reviewed on the phone call.
-Related, he was weirdly pushy about the time for toasts. We directly told them multiple times that some of the toasts would be done during the meal itself, but for some reason WAY earlier than that he came over to the toast givers and said "yeah we're doing it now" despite it being literally an hour early
-He did NOT play most of the songs we requested, including the ones where we said they HAD to be played (culturally important songs). We also put on the form "no country music" and like the 10th song of the night was country. So it's weird when he doesn't play the songs we say need to be played, but does play the songs we ask him not to play. To be clear, we did have a Russian-American wedding so there were some unusual song requests, but he specifically said he had the songs we wanted then ended up not playing the majority of them.
-At the end of the night they came up and asked "hey is there a last song you want to play", despite the fact that we had written all of this down on their super long form! Like, what was the point of us doing that very long form if you're not going to even read it?! The DJ then said "now for our last song of the night" and played....New York. And asked everyone to circle around us and do the rockette kick. I'm not kidding. THEN he said "now for our last dance of the night" and finally played our last dance song.

So yeah, there were just a LOT of weird moments, not honoring our requests, blindsiding us with schticks that we wouldn't have said yes to if asked. The party succeeded despite the DJs, not thanks to them. They were very nice, and they went above and beyond for the party itself, but their base level job as DJs we are not very happy with. If we had to choose again we would go with a different company.
