Out of all of our vendors, he was hands down the best in communication. He was always available, whether it was a quick call, a text, or a last-minute question, and responded so quickly every single time. You could genuinely feel how much he cared about making our day perfect.
When we were struggling to choose songs for our first dance and other special moments, he didn’t just leave us to figure it out. He was sending us clips, videos, and ideas, helping guide us every step of the way. That level of support meant so much to us.
On the wedding day, he was the best in flexibility. Things don’t always go exactly as planned, but he pivoted with us so seamlessly. He stayed positive, upbeat, and focused on keeping both us and our guests happy the entire time, which made all the difference.
And the vibes? Truly the best. From cheering us on as we walked down the aisle to handing us a drink the moment we came back up, he was more than just a DJ, he felt like a friend and a genuine supporter of our love.

Our DJ, Mike, was very thorough from the start. We had no clue what we were doing other than choosing our song, but Mike gave us a very detailed questionnaire laying out all of the things we could consider. We had no idea that there were so many things to choose from! He then walked us through the list, gave suggestions on areas we did not know what to choose, and most of all, everything went without a hitch. He even led the crowd in a chant so our young daughter had more courage to do her dance in front of everyone. Everyone had such a great time dancing that we extended his time another hour! The most amazing night!
Mike was seriously the MVP of our wedding day. From the very beginning, he totally got my personality, asked all the right questions, and stayed in touch the entire way through. His communication was amazing, and I never once felt stressed or out of the loop.
He timed our ceremony perfectly and guided everyone — even the kids — like a total pro. He rolled with every last-minute change, acted like a day-of coordinator, and made sure everything flowed without a hitch. He even made sure my husband and I ate, which was such a thoughtful touch knowing how fast the night would fly.
What meant the most to me was that Mike never once made me feel silly for any of my ideas or requests. Whether it was building in time for me to switch into a party dress or making sure the vibe matched our personalities, he embraced it all and made it happen seamlessly. From the very first conversation, 18 months before our big day, we could tell how knowledgeable, personable, and passionate he was about what he does. We were early in the planning process and unsure about many details, especially since we were planning a destination wedding, but Mike immediately put us at ease. He offered helpful advice, vendor insight, and, most importantly, made us feel like we were in great hands from the start.
Throughout the planning process, Mike was incredibly responsive, professional, and easy to work with. He helped us build a timeline that balanced flow and fun, created a custom photo booth template to match our style, and designed uplighting that truly elevated the look and feel of our venue. Just a few days before the wedding, I decided to change my aisle song because a new cover I loved had just been released. Mike made the switch happen seamlessly—while he was just returning from vacation, no less—and still ensured everything was ready to go. He also helped me surprise my groom by incorporating a voice recording into the ceremony before I walked down the aisle. That moment was emotional, unforgettable, and so meaningful to us.

We hired Mike for our wedding after finding him on The Knot and reading all his amazing reviews — and now we completely understand why everyone raves about him! From our very first phone call, Mike made us feel so comfortable. He listened to all my concerns, answered every question (sometimes within minutes of me texting him!), and truly helped bring my wedding vision to life.
He wasn’t just a DJ — he was a huge part of making the night perfect. Mike helped us choose songs for special moments we hadn’t even thought about yet, kept the vibe absolutely perfect all night long, and somehow knew exactly when to switch up the style of music to keep everyone happy and on the dance floor. I had guests send song requests with their RSVPs, and Mike not only used those but also went around during the reception taking even more requests, which made everyone feel so involved and excited!
One of my favorite moments was when we did a t-shirt toss instead of the traditional bouquet or garter toss — Mike helped us pick the perfect song to set the fun vibe we were hoping for. He even ran behind our guests with a bubble machine he provided himself during our grand exit — it was such a magical, unexpected touch! We also upgraded to include lighting, and Mike sent me a full list of color options just so I could pick the exact shade of pink I had envisioned (he really cared about the little details!).
Mike was organized, punctual, and prepared with top-notch equipment — even bringing an extra microphone for our officiant without us even asking. Our guests absolutely loved him and kept talking about how great he was.
What stands out the most is that while some DJs charge thousands for their services, Mike is incredibly reasonable and honest with his pricing — and you still get five-star service (if not better because he’s so personable, humble, and fun!). Planning a destination wedding in South Carolina from California could have been incredibly stressful, but Mike from Best Night Ever DJ and Events was an absolute lifesaver! From our very first phone call, his professionalism and genuine involvement were evident. What truly set Mike apart was that he went far beyond the typical duties of a DJ. So many of our guests actually asked if he was our wedding coordinator! The Best DJ - Mike Marshall
Mike was an absolute rockstar from the beginning. He listened to the vision of our wedding day during the introduction call and went above and beyond on our wedding day.
Mike went table to table and got song requests from guests, got people excited to dance, perfectly executed the walk-down-the-aisle and recessional music, set the stage for the evening with his own equipment and customized lighting, made, made outstanding announcements to keep people and the event moving in the right direction, and had the dance floor going ALL NIGHT!
This is how much Mike cares - he went and got us drinks and asked if we needed anything multiple times throughout the entire day.
Even more, we found out the venue event coordinator quit a week before the wedding. Mike got on the phone with us quickly and said not to worry, “I got you covered.”
Our guests raved about Mike Marshall, and you will too if you are in need of a five-star DJ.

Mike was great. He got to know us before the wedding, brought our drinks to us during dinner, and even followed up after the wedding to ask us how our honeymoon was. We purchased the ceremony music, reception lighting, monogram, and photobooth from him. Michael was the best vendor at our wedding! Because we are local to Myrtle beach, we met for drinks and apps and chatted about our expectations for the day.. which I loved! It made us feel comfortable to know who was going to be there on the wedding day. During cocktail hour, we were taking photos and he came out of the venue to hand us drinks and check on us?! I got multiple compliments on our dj from people of all ages throughout and after the event. Truly, THE BEST DJ EVER! Cliche considering his name, but Michael really did provide us the Best Night EVER! From our first phone call, he was friendly, upfront with what he could provide, and got us soo excited to work with him. After the conversation, it was a definitely for us that we wanted him as our DJ. Finding a DJ for a wedding is a stressful thing - you can’t really “test them out” - you just have to trust that they’re great and find out if they live up to that day of. But let me tell y’all - Michael is AMAZING and does just that and sooo much more. He is super laid back, listened to what we wanted, and got the party GOING! He truly didn’t miss a beat - everything we asked for, he pulled through with on his end. It is also so stressful with wedding planning trusting a lot of vendors to do what they say they will do, but with Michael, I can assure you it will all be done and it will all be done great! From the ceremony set up, ceremony music/mics, to cocktail hour, to the dance floor - everything was perfect! And the BEST bang for your buck - everything is provided and he doesn’t charge extra for the “extras,” yet essentials, like a microphone or the dance floor lights. He includes it all in his very reasonable price. He caught all the vibes and kept the party going allll night long! He even got my husband and I refills on our drinks, took lots of videos/photos for us throughout the night, and was great and checking in with us without being too overbearing. Also, I think it is important to add he didn’t try to make our wedding a “presentation” or a “show” like a lot of DJs seem to do. He wasn’t talking over the mic constantly or trying to get people hype by talking to the crowd. I literally cannot say enough good things about him - I want to refer him to everyone I know! If you need a DJ for ANY event, choose Michael with Best Night Ever DJ and Events! You will NOT regret it!! We love him!!!!

Danced all night!
If you are still deciding on your wedding DJ, look no further! Mike is the best there is! We attended a wedding shortly before we got engaged and Mike was the DJ. We immediately knew that when we got married we would hire Mike!
From the ceremony and cocktail hour music, to the lighting and the reception music, Mike does a phenomenal job. He is incredibly detail oriented and made sure to run through things with us so everything went as we hoped! Mike went above and beyond to make our day special.
My husband is not much of a dancer, but any time we are at an event and Mike is the DJ, he is dancing all night! Mike had every guest on the dance floor, and even helped coordinate passing out our glow sticks. Highly recommend Mike for the Best Day Ever!

When our live music entertainment cancelled 2 weeks prior to our wedding ceremony, we frantically searched for a replacement, sending out several emails in hopes of finding someone that could contribute to making our special day memorable, and then we received a reply from Mike. He was personable, professional and knew all the right questions to ask that we had not considered in order to make everything go smoothly. In short he was AMAZING, coordinating with the photographer, wedding officiant and venue flawlessly, helping to make our wedding and the celebration that followed an event our family and friends, not to mention me and my beautiful bride, will never forget! Let me just start by saying , if you want the Best night Ever... HIRE MIKE! Hands down, the absolute best DJ we could have chosen!
Mike listens to EVERY word you say , to the point of if you have DO NOT PLAY songs... he will not play them unless the BRIDE or GROOM approves it! He is superb at knowing when it comes to music and how you want your night to flow. He is super attentive to the crowd and what is going on in the room as well.
We had our wedding at Oceanic Restaurant and Pier in Wrightsville Beach, NC on April 7, 2023 and it of course...Easter weekend..RAINED literally 15 mins before our ceremony start time. Our ceremony was to be on the pier so we had our guests notified that we were going to delay just a few minutes. The rain and wind created too much damp weather outdoors for us to have audio on the pier for our ceremony , Which turned out it stopped raining as we decided to walk down anyway to no music and it could not have turned out any more intimate and special! But in the middle of the reception, Mike ended up introducing the wedding party (Groomsmen, Bridesmaids, RingBearer, & Bride) to the music they were supposed to walk down the aisle to!!! It was such a special touch and we had no idea he was going to do this. It truly made our night!
Mike is super professional, he listens to your requests, makes sure you have what you need and want, and is in touch immediately if you need to chat. He has become a personal friend of ours since the wedding and as a fellow vendor in the wedding biz, he will always be the Dj I recommend for the coastal areas! Just hire the man already!

I loved working with the owner Mike Marshall – we had multiple phone calls leading up to the wedding walking through our music tastes and what music and timeline details mattered to us from the pre-ceremony music through the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and everything in between. Mike went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. He’s a seasoned DJ who has done hundreds of weddings and it shows! The absolute best decision we made in our wedding planning! Mike helped walk us through the types of songs we may want to consider for different parts of ceremony and reception and guided us based on the kind of vibe we wanted to go for. He helped us set up our timeline for both ceremony and reception. He arrived early and get set up with battery powered mics for officiant and our own vow reading. Everyone commented on loving the music playing before the start of the ceremony (all him!). He kept people dancing and even made rounds to talk to most of our guests during dinner to ask if anyone had special song requests. He checked in with us through the day to ask if there was anything else or anything different we wanted to hear (even went and got us drinks during dinner!). Mike gave great suggestions when we were stuck on a song choice and was there for us every step of the way! He provided lighting too which created the perfect ambience for our reception!
