  Some of these bad reviews sound crazy to me because Mike was amazing with my wife and I.. Except the one person who said someone went in mikes place, because we would not have wanted anyone in his place. From our engagement pictures to the wedding day he was truly incredible. he will be getting 2 or more jobs in the next 2 years from our wedding day, because my wives cousins also loved his work so much, we did our engagement photos at Allaire State Park in the middle of the summer. Mike was laying in tall grass to get amazing shots.. he was covered in ticks by the time we were walking back to the cars. we were 10 out of 10 satisfied with our engagement photos. Then sadly we had a horrible death in the immediate family a few months before our original wedding date and when we told mike.. he changed the wedding date for us with no questions asked which bumped us into 2017 instead of 2016.. in almost all wedding contracts the price of everything goes up into the next year. His "already" good price remained the same. Then to the wedding day. He was with my wife and her girls that morning and he sent another photographer to me and my men who was also great. But mike got amazing pictures through out the entire day.. we had our pictures at Georgian Court and it was wet from 2 days of rain prior to our wedding and mike took his jacket off and put it down for my wife to sit on to get a picture he really wanted.. we haven't seen it yet, but the ones we have seen are all amazing so I'm sure that pic was worth the wet jacket. We honestly cant say enough.. he was great to work with .. had a good personality and easy to talk to and work with... when he didn't answer us he always got back to us quickly.. and he has given everything he has promised up to date. not to mention he was cheaper than 75% of the other places we looked and he offered more... we recommended him to all of our family and friends! thanks Mike

  I was referred to Mike when my husband and I were first engaged. We were not ready to start the search for a photographer so I put the business card in my wedding binder. As the wedding was getting closer, I had contacted other photographers but no one's work compared to Mike Berry's. Mike was great to work with and he was amazing the day of the wedding. Our engagement pictures were beautiful!!! On the day of the wedding he took charge, and helped to organize the wedding party. We received our proofs 10 days after the wedding and they are so amazing!!! He captured so many great shots which we will have forever. Mike truly enjoys what he does and we loved working with him!!

  Mike was a pleasure to work with from the moment we met him. He understood exactly what we were looking for in a photographer. The day of the wedding Mike and Jeff showed up to take pictures, and I have to honestly say I have never seen photographers so enthusiastic about their work!!! My cousin is getting married in a couple of months and had already booked with another photographer; after seeing how amazing these guys worked with us all day, she wants to cancel her photographer she already booked and hire Berry Photographics! We are so happy to have chosen Mike, and super happy that he brought Jeff along!

  I cannot say enough good things about Mike. He was the first photographer I looked at but I went to 3 others to compare and he was hands down the best. He was very flexible with taking our engagement pictures and very quick to respond to emails and phone calls, which I feel is very important to the bride! The day of he arrived early and took his time. I didn’t feel rushed at all which was a relief! He also took care of everything I needed without me even asking! I was thinking of writing a must take list but ran out of time which didn’t matter he took anything and everything I wanted anyway! And my pictures were ready by the time I was back from my honeymoon about 2 ½ weeks later!!!! My pictures are amazing and couldn't have asked for more!

  Mike was the best! He has a great personality and the picture came out beauitfully! Both my brother and sister have now used him for their weddings. The proofs were amazing, hard to choose for the album. The album is priceless. It captured all of the moments that we cherish so much. He works with a videographer Greg from Endless Wave - they work awesome together. They feed off of each other and get the shots together -- Would not book without booking both of them! Fabulous! Cannot say anything bad about the service or personally.....I would HIGHLY recommend Berry Photographics for you wedding.

  Wedding was 2 yrs ago- I just looked at my album (packed away in a box) and am still so dissatisfied. Mike was curt on the phone leading up to the wedding and in every conversation afterward. He was pleasant on the day of and easy to work with-the only positive. When I received the prints it seemed as if he made sure he got several good shots and that was about it. He DID NOT capture the "story" of the day. After receiving the prints, I called with a question. Beginning with this conversation he was extremely rude and unprofessional. THE WORST PART: when we FINALLY received the album, it was terrible. The first half was nice but the 2nd half looked like it was done on snapfish. The backgrounds were black with a few pictures on top. I asked Mike if I could see the album before it was finalized-he said no, he does not allow the brides to see the album before its finished because they usually want to change too many things. Had I known this before the wedding, I would have used a different photographer. Once he told me that i wouldnt be able to see it before it was finished, we spoke at length about what we wanted. He appeared to be listening and even took notes but didn't do half of what we discussed. When I complained about the album, he took it back and made a new one. A few months later we received the revised album. It was better but still not the quality I was expecting. There is a random bright blue background in the middle of the book(looks out of place) and mistakes that should have been easy to fix-such as, a person in the mirror in one of the pictures. It seemed like he got lazy and certainly did not pay attention to detail. I'm writing this review so that other people might be able to avoid the trouble that I went through. I loved my wedding and have wonderful memories. Unfortunately, every time I look back at our photos I'm reminded of my terrible experience with Mike instead of our beautiful wedding. Please think twice before using Berry Photographics.

  Michael Berry showed us his portfolios and wedding pictures and to be truthful, they were beautiful. And so we signed a contract and that is when things went downhill. We had to pay ALL the money upfront. When signing a contract, he swore to us that HE would be the one doing our wedding photography. Well, a week before the wedding, we got a call from this lady, Erin. She told us she would be taking our wedding pictures. She said that Michael was booked. I called Michael and he said that he had prior commitments. Keep in mind, my wife and I had booked him 9 months prior to the wedding. Erin was half an hour late arriving to take my wife's pictures before the wedding day, which caused her to be an entire hour late in taking my pictures with my groomsmen at the venue. This in turn delayed the start of the wedding ceremony. We waited 4 months to see our proofs. When seeing our proofs, we explained our critiques to Michael regarding the mishaps at the wedding and how we contracted him and he instead he contracted another photographer. He was extremely defensive, even yelling at us in his office when we told him our proofs. I called him numerous times to check our status, and he failed to return any of my voicemails or phone calls. He never responded. Finally 10 months after the wedding, he called saying our album was in. When picking up the album, he handed me a box and said "Here", expecting me to just take it and not look through it while in his office. However, I did look through it-it was actually nice. And then he screamed at me like I was his child. He said that I never called him, never left voicemails asking if the album was ready and how I was a liar. Michael was rude, obnoxious, violent in his screaming and demeanor, and a jerk. He was on a mission to defend his work (which wasn't even his work since Erin was his substitute). Not easy to work with him. Michael Berry is located in Toms River, NJ on Route 37-keep on driving!
