beautiful venue!!!
We had our wedding at Bentwood 11/12/22 and couldn't have chosen a better place. The staff was amazing and was there Friday and Saturday making sure everything was perfect for us. We chose to rent for the whole weekend and stayed onsite in the bungalows. That was a huge selling point for us as we did not want to be rushed day of. We had all of our friends and family out for a fish fry Friday night and got to enjoy our out of town guests. All of our guests are still talking about how beautiful it was. -

Sarah Sent on 01/05/2018Bentwood was the first venue my fiancé and I looked at for our April 2019 wedding. Knowing we had about 15 months until it was on, we thought it was a good idea to look early. From the photos online, I knew we’d have to go check it out. Jessica, the owner, was very flexible in getting us on the property to tour. She was extremely thorough in explaining how this works knowing we have never planned a wedding before. We immediately fell in love. The covered space is stunning with the beautiful wood tables. This place is effortlessly beautiful and will require minimal decor. We ended up touring other venues but we couldn’t get Bentwood out of our heads. One of the huge things with choosing this location is the availability. We chose the Friday and Saturday with no lodging. This allows us to decorate and guarantees a rehearsal the day before. The pricing is out of this world compared to other locations that only give 10 hours. We just made our arrangements to confirm our date and we couldn’t be more excited! -
User2784572 Sent on 09/26/2016I love this venue I was so lucky to find this! The price is awesome and I love that we had the option to rent the full venue Friday-Sunday! Set up and break down is going to be so easy and we will get to have our rehearsals out there as well! And being able to rent the bungalows for the wedding party for the night before helps take stress off me knowing everyone is in the same place -

This venue is gorgeous, and has 5 cabins which is why we booked it. I dont like leaving bad reviews, but this was disgraceful. I worked in hospitality sales for 10 years, so I know a lot about service and venues! First after I signed and fully paid about a month out from my wedding i received the rules! Which i was not made aware of even though i asked the sales lady in person before we signed what the rules were. So surprisingly I had to pay for security for 4 hours and take our own trash out to a dumpster down the road (just the big things, but there was a huge list of rules). On top of that the one staff member there, I had to track down everytime we needed anything! The day we were decorating it was cold, so we asked for the pavilion to be closed. The worker brought my fiance a ladder and walked off, so he had to figure out how to close up the drapes around the pavilion. Also, they did not help us to hang items on the ceremony arbor and again handed my Dad a ladder. This is not safe for them to do, if anyone would have fallen it would have been a disaster for them and for my wedding! Also, it was cold for our rehearsal dinner and they only turned on one side of the heaters in the pavilion. Because they only fill 70% full, and wont service on the weekend!?! So half of the room was freezing and we had to huddle up on one side! Seriously amazing they did this! Also, the one staff member did not have the walkway blown off, or chairs sat out for the ceremony, when we asked the night before if everything could be set by 9am for us to setup decor, since it was seriously windy and we could not do it the night before. Again, they do not take the trash out, which would have been fine, but the worker didn't let us know where to take, and again I found this out after we had paid a month before! For the cabins we had one roll of toilet paper, only 2 towels, and 1 little trash bin per room for the entire weekend! The rooms were clean, but seriously how could we get through 2 nights with that! Overall, when my sister approached the owner the morning of my wedding he argued and even called her "little lady". Which is so disrespectful! My fiance was setting out our candy and heard the entire thing. Good thing my 5' 3" sister is a force to be reckoned with, or my fiance would have had to step in. But he didn't, to not ruin our day, so let it drop. Overall gorgeous venue and for $6,500-7,000 it is not worth the trouble they put you through! I'd go anywhere else if I had known! Everything else was perfect and all my venders were great, but this really was disappointing and they need to learn some customer service! I thought I did my homework to find the right venue, but you should fully know what you are getting into before you decide on a venue! I hope they can turn this around for future groups, because they have an amazing place.Bentwood Texas's reply:
This is a tough one for me, with 20+/- years here, we have never received a negative review and have always prided ourselves in having thousands of happy clients. We are family here and like to think we handle events here as if you were having it in your parents backyard. We are all human and none of us are perfect by no means, and I’m certain some parts of your problems are no doubt true and you were not happy or you wouldn’t have gone the extra mile to leave this review. But your comments have several contradictions in them and many half-truths. I would have loved the opportunity to sit and discuss these with you and see what I could do to help mitigate and or compensate you for your inconveniences (real and perceived) if at all possible. I am truly sorry for your experience and the way you feel about Bentwood and its employees. I am happy to discuss this further in person or over the phone with you or anyone else that reads this and has concerns or questions for that matter. Again, my apologies and congratulations on your marriage and I wish you All the Best!
