Our venue partnered with this bakery and when we went to the bakery for our tasting we knew why. The cakes were delicious and since we couldn't decide on just one flavor, we had a 3-tiered cake with 3 different flavors! We had a Pinterest picture of a cake we wanted and the cake turned out perfect! Exactly how we wanted it to be!! Everyone who saw the cake said it was one of the nicest wedding cakes they ever saw. Benkerts did our wedding cake on 9/14/17. They not only had reasonable pricing but also delivered all the way to our venue in Aquebogue. I normally am one who does not like the taste of wedding cakes, they either taste freezer burned or stale to me. However when we tasted Benkerts cake I knew they were the ones who had to do our wedding cake. It was amazing and everyone raved how fresh and moist the cake was. We had the most delicious and most beautiful wedding cake around! Our venue's baker offered a cake tasting and we were extremely disappointed with the cake. We found Benkert's, who has been in business for many years. We took our cake design to them, tasted their cakes and fillings and left the rest to them! In the area, Benkert's bakery is renowned. I have tried many different cakes from them in the past, and I have not been disappointed. Expect lines out the door most of the time, then come in to have a cake tasting, you absolutely won't be disappointed. My husband and I had no problems with Benkert's - they are pros at what they do. We were able to compromise nicely to find the design for our cake - simple red flowers (matching the colors of our wedding) amongst a white background. We were able to try a variety of flavors and came to a consensus with three different tiers with three different fillings and icings. We used Benkerts bakery for our wedding this past weekend. There cakes taste delicious and the quality of work is amazing. We sat down for a trial and weren't sure what cake or flavors we wanted. Benkerts does not charge for a trial. They will customize your flavors and icings. If you want it sweeter they will do it. If you want it less sweet they will do that as well. I couldn't have loved my cake more. They totally listened to what I wanted. It was beautiful and most importantly tasted amazing. I'm allergic to gluten so they made me a gluten free cake on the side too!

Benkert's cake was part of our venue package and when we went to visit them for a tasting we were pleasantly surprised.
We've been to a lot of weddings and have never had a wedding cake like this! Their cakes exceed standard venue quality! So good!
I worked at a bakery for a long time and baking has become a big part of my [non-professional] life. So it was really great that when we didn't have a option about where the cake was coming from, we scored big time with this bakery! If I had chosen to bring in our own cake, I would have chosen this bakery, hands down.
I sent them a picture of what I wanted, not too complex, and they executed the design perfectly.

Sent the cake to the wedding on time- no issues. Cake was supposed to be included in price of venue, but Benkerts pretty much said each cake was an upcharge.
