Fabulous acoustic guitarist and amazing wedding vendor

We were so excited that Ben was available to play acoustic guitar during our wedding ceremony on 11/8/24. His portfolio was great and he also learned a new song that we wanted for the bridal processional. He was super communicative, reasonable, and professional from our first conversation. On our wedding day, he arrived early and made sure the sound was perfect. We are really thankful to Ben for making our ceremony exactly what we wanted!

Ben was very communicative, responsive and detailed in preparation for our event. On the day of he arrived and set up well ahead of time, giving us much peace of mind. We really appreciated his skills and talent with our selection of modern and classic songs. His professionalism was clear, as was his ability to improvise and adjust when things went slightly off of our initial plans. His music enhanced our event and helped create the great atmosphere we were hoping for. Our guests and us really enjoyed the music in the prelude, during the ceremony and during cocktail hour. Amazing guitarist for our wedding!

We worked with Ben to provide acoustic guitar during our wedding ceremony, and we couldn’t be happier! Ben came recommended to us from another guitarist we had previously worked with. From the beginning, Ben was easy to communicate with and super responsive; he even learned a new song for our wedding (a song by Prince no less! No easy feat!). Planning was easy, and the music on the day of the wedding was even better than we had hoped for. Ben chose perfect music for the ceremony prelude. We teared up as soon as we heard You Are The Best Thing playing, and it was so wonderful to walk down the aisle to Here Comes The Sun and out to Kiss. We appreciated Ben’s communication and beautiful music, and we would highly recommend working with him if you are looking for a talented, professional, and impressive guitarist.

Fantastic Guitarist!

We had Ben play the ceremony and cocktail hour for our wedding this past weekend and it was great! It was exactly the kind of sound/atmosphere I was hoping to have for the wedding. Ben Sherman was one of the best parts of our ceremony! We were iffy about live music- but it ended up being worth every cent and more. Ben was beyond professional, very communicative, and open to planning along with us to make sure his services worked best with our wedding day. At absolutely the LAST minute, our ceremony location and cocktail hour location changed, and Ben was super flexible and worked with us. And of course- he is incredibly talented with a large book of music to choose from- a little bit for everyone!!!

Wonderful!!

Ben played for my wedding this past weekend and I couldn't have been any happier with his services. Because of COVID I had to replan my wedding so I booked him on short notice. He responded to my inquiry right away, and even though he had another gig booked later in the day he was willing to work with me. He is very thorough and has a wide variety of music he is able to preform, but is also willing to learn songs if there is one you want but he doesn't know yet. He learned 2 new songs specifically for me and did such a great job with them. Guests were expected to begin arriving at 1:30, and he was at the ceremony location by 12:30 to make sure he had plenty of time to set up, which was great. So many of my guests complimented his performance. I would absolutely recommend Ben for your wedding

Made my daughter's day very special

Ben's music before and after the wedding was beautiful. I received a lot of compliments from my guest and they loved the idea of a solo guitarist.
We were able to listen to his music before hiring him and he was even better in person. The selections were fantastic. My daughter said that it was like a dream.

Look no further! Ben is amazing!

Look no further! Ben is absolutely amazing! I asked the impossible - play a multi-part string piece as one guy with a guitar - and he NAILED IT!

Ben learned several new songs just for me. He learned to play the Piano Guy's version of the Cello Song on the guitar and it made for the most beautiful ceremony processional. Because that song has many parts that are normally played by several stringed instruments and percussion, he made recordings of the percussion and used a looper to get the full effect of the song - sounding like many people, when it was just him.

He was so flexible with timing, too. I used the same song for the entire processional and wanted a specific part of it for just me. He was able to work in that moment to flawlessly repeat sections of the song until I was ready to take my steps with my father. It came out beautifully.

Everyone at the wedding was so impressed by his playing.

Beautiful Music, Great Person!

My only regret is that I didn't get to hear ALL of his music (i was tucked away during the prelude)! Ben was great to work with and we (and all our guests) loved his contribution to our ceremony and cocktail hour. We chose some songs that Ben had on his site and also worked with him to play a song that was new to him for our recessional. It came out amazing! Perfect for our outdoor wedding!

This review is long overdue and well-deserved, as we chose Ben to perform the music for our June 2018 wedding and we could not have been happier with our decision! From the first contact, Ben was responsive and professional, as well as helpful and knowledgeable about all that goes into planning and timing of both ceremony and reception. His experience in the industry was evident throughout the entire process. He learned special requests for our processional and recessional for the ceremony and both were beautifully done. He also played a selection of instrumental music during dinner, and we requested vocals for the remaining reception time. He even let us choose the playlist from his extensive list of vocal offerings (which was not easy because there were so many great songs and only a few hours to fill); our guests truly enjoyed every minute and gave so many compliments on his skill and variety of songs. We were actually a bit envious that they got to relax and enjoy the music the whole time, since bride & groom get pulled in so many directions that day. But the one thing we never felt any stress over was tne choice of musicians. We wanted the tone for the day to be relaxed and happy, while still keeping a bit of elegance so it felt like a real wedding despite being in our backyard; he totally nailed it and it was exactly what we were hoping for. He blended seemlessly into the day to help create the perfect vibe for an outdoor summer wedding. He was also flexible on his scheduled end time and an incredible value for a wedding musician, which we really appreciated. If you are looking for an awesome musician for your wedding (or any event, really), go with Ben Sherman -you will be so glad you did!

Ben was very prompt and professional. He was great at checking in and sending me gentle reminders when I needed to send him info or a payment. I'm sad I didn't get to actually meet him in person at the wedding, but he played all the requested songs and they were beautiful!! I asked for some of my mom's favorite Beatles songs and she had tears in her eyes when she heard them. He even provided a microphone for our officiant and was able to adapt to having the wedding at a barn with no electricity. Highly recommend!

10/21/18 - Wedding ceremony and cocktail hour music

Ben was great to work with!!!!! He was very patient and willing to learn a few songs that were not already on his repertoire. He was also so flexible -- we had to move the ceremony from outdoor to indoor the week of. My guests also really enjoyed his music. His rate is so reasonable and would 100% recommend for anyone's special day. My only recommendation is to increase the number of songs in his current repertoire; however, it's already pretty big.

A long awaited day, made even more special!

Ben Sherman is not only a very endeared and much admired, long time, local area musician, with such incredible talent, but also has become a good friend over our 3 years together as a couple - seeing him as often as we can.

Being well known to both of us, long before we met, it was a treat to see Ben play for our first date that included live, local music - a great passion of ours.

Once we were engaged a year later, we immediately asked that he would do us the honor of being part of our special day. Ben agreed, of course!

From the start, Ben went above and beyond to make sure that every part of the prelude, ceremony, and all the way through to our first dance was exactly as we hoped it would be, including helping with a very special song we requested, with additional lyrics written by Ben in such a touching way - knowing how much they described us joining together as one on that memorable day.

For those attending our wedding, including those who also knew Ben Sherman as a friend and fellow musician, the expectations were very high, and exceeded in every way.

Lovely Music for our Wedding

Ben did not fall short on any dimension: his musicality was top-notch (many guests commented as well), he was very professional and responsive throughout, and was dedicated to providing a personal experience that we were happy with. Ben was amazing from the beginning! He was always more than accomodating with our wedding song requests. He was very responsive. He went as far as to record himself singing different songs for me when I was not sure what songs to pick. Unfortunately, we did not get to enjoy his cocktail hour music because we were off taking photos but his ceremony music brought me to tears as soon as I heard the song I picked. It sounded exactly how I had imagined. All of our wedding guests loved you! Thanks for making our wedding day perfect!

Ben was the best hire we made on our wedding day! He learned an Ingrid Michaelson song I requested for my walk down the aisle, which he played and sang flawlessly. He also secretly teamed up with my husband, unbeknownst to me, and learned a song that my husband wrote/sang for me. We never had to worry about our bridesmaids and groomsmen walking down the aisle because he played every song we requested in perfect timing. He was so easy to work with and extremely professional. Absolutely top notch. I am recommending him to all of my friends getting married!

Ben was great to work with and very communicative in preparing for our ceremony and cocktail hour. He had a great number of songs and genres of music to choose from. It was definitely nice having an expert classical guitarist provide music that help set the tone of our wedding day. Ben is very communicative in providing the best music and experience to couples for their wedding day. Ben is definitely knowledgeable in providing a quality musical ambiance for wedding events and did not need any direction from us on our wedding day, and we regret not being to express our thanks to him face to face that day, more than briefly. Great music and affordable. The only thing that Was a problem was I didn’t really hear the music as I walked down the isle. The guests didn’t say anything so I don’t know if it was just me being so far away from it.

Mr. Sherman has the most professional online music examples that we could listen to on our computer. In exchanging emails with family members, he is by far and above the best musician of all that we have reviewed. It made it so easy in the preparation stage to make arrangements by email. He gave us a complete list of both vocal and instrumental music that he could perform, which allowed us to choose our favorites in advance of the wedding. He's accomplished in music from the baroque to the current rock hits. He also got back to us promptly and was very flexible when the time of the wedding and reception moved back by a half hour. His fee was right in the middle of those quotes we received from others.

He arrived promptly before the wedding at the Mount Vernon Inn and commenced playing for the reception and was absolutely terrific. Our guests and family loved the music and said that it was the best wedding they have attended. I think it had a lot to do with Mr. Sherman's talents. There were was both pleasant background and dance music throughout the three hour reception. We thank him again for making such a wonderful wedding celebration for our family.

Ben was absolutely wonderful! We had a smaller wedding my wife and I planned ourselves without the benefit of a wedding planner. That being said, we had several changes in itinerary as the planning phase of the wedding moved forward. Throughout the whole process Ben was incredibly patient and accommodating to our changing needs. And on the day of he was prompt and professional. His performance was outstanding. He had arranged and played a special request (our favorite song) during our recessional that was gorgeous. His other music during the ceremony and cocktail hour was likewise beautiful. Our family is a very musical family, and we were looking for a classical guitarist for our daughter's intimate wedding at Morais Vineyard and Winery in Bealeton VA. At our request, Ben provided a lengthy classical prelude that displayed outstanding musical artistry, and managed to calm our daughter as she waited listening for the wedding to begin (a little Handel and Bach can soothe the nerves - i highly recommend this!) In addition to the classical prelude, Ben played "A Thousand Years" for the processional and "Here Comes the Sun" for the recessional - flexible repertoire and all done so well. He brought his own amplification - sending the music out though the outdoor space to those listening from afar. Ben was professional, came early to set up and was everything our musical family hoped for!

To anyone looking for a guitarist for their wedding or cocktail hour, I highly recommend Ben. He is so very talented, can play a wide range of classical to contemporary songs, and will even learn a new song for your wedding, if he doesn't already know it. He is professional, friendly and very accommodating.

I only met with Ben once, long before our wedding when we were trying to determine if/who we wanted to play the guitar at our ceremony. He was playing a set at a local bar, and we went to check him out. From there, we conducted all of our business via email. He was very responsive and thorough, and understood everything we wanted and were looking for at our wedding. He learned two new songs to play for my processional, and our recessional at the ceremony. He knew exactly the types of songs we were looking for, and provided great suggestions and recommendations based on his experience.

If I was ever looking for a musician going forward, I would 100% use Ben again. It was a pleasure working with him, and wish him nothing but the best in the future!

We really didn't have any pre-conceived idea of what kind of music we wanted for our wedding, so it was a bit daunting starting such an open-ended search. I found Ben on Wedding Wire. As soon as I listened to some of his samples, I knew this was the music I wanted. Just so beautiful... Ben has a wide variety of music in his repertoire already. Ben Sherman was extremely professional, flexible, and versatile. My maid of honor sang the vocals to both the processional and recessional while Ben Sherman accompanied her on the guitar. He coordinated directly with my maid of honor prior to the ceremony and arrange times to practice. He was flexible and timely. His attentiveness, independence, and responsiveness helped eliminate the stress of coordinating the ceremony music. He also has a large variety and genre of music selections. There are approximately a million things to plan and tasks to accomplish when planning a wedding. Often times, tasks start to slip through the cracks. My highest praise for Ben was in being proactive with us to ensure that our music selection for our ceremony and cocktail hour was not slipping through one of those cracks. He kept us on track and would often reach out to make sure everything was covered. His experience with weddings and working with couples showed as he recommended song choices that fit the style of wedding for us. Again, just one less thing that we had to stress about! We used Ben for both ceremony music and also cocktail hour. The ceremony music was spot on. Unfortunately I cannot review the cocktail hour music as I was off taking pictures so I unfortunately did not get to hear him during this portion. However, everyone who did attend that part of the day said that the music was fantastic. He was able to play all of our requests!

Ben was very easy to work with and from what I hear he did a great job! Ben is an amazing guitarist and was wonderful to work with. (Wedding 4/16/16) Ben played acoustic guitar for our wedding ceremony. Ben started by playing for 30 minutes before the ceremony and played for about 5 minutes after the ceremony before moving into the cocktail reception. He learned two songs for us for the wedding ceremony. They sounded beautiful. Even though we were busy doing all of the things brides and grooms have to do during the cocktail reception, we received rave reviews from our guests. We wanted a light and airy classic rock mood and he more than delivered. Ben is highly highly recommended. If we could give Ben 10 stars we would.

Ben Sherman is a very talented performer. We found him by looking for a guitarist for our ceremony. I quickly realized he was a main stay in the local music scene. His price and talent was so great we decided to have him for the cocktail and reception as well as the ceremony. He has a very diverse song list and he even offered to learn a song or two for us. He was very involved and organized while prepping for the day. We discussed all the details and fine tuned the song choices for our ceremony until the last day! He has many music samples on his web site and even offered some other videos to show arrangement examples.
On the day of Ben showed up early and brought a very adequate set up for our space. His playing during the ceremony brought tears to most peoples eyes. After the ceremony he switched gears and Ben sang and played a bunch of songs to entertain the guests during the cocktail hour.. He did another set after our dances and brunch. We even danced to some tunes! HE provided the perfect background music for our early afternoon affair. Ben was even kind enough to let me use his guitar to serenade my wife on our day.. That made the day even more special. I would recommend him to any one looking for a detail oriented, responsible and extremely talented and flexible musician.

Ben was amazing and so helpful throughout our wedding planning period. My husband and I were unaware about having mics for the ceremony initially and Ben helped explain exactly what we may need, want and found all of the equipment. For a small additional fee, he provided it all and set it up before the ceremony. It was seamless and never have done something like this before we were really appreciative of his help! Ben was terrific to deal with, completely reliable, and incredibly talented. I would highly recommend him for any wedding. He played at the ceremony and cocktail hour. I know that he does a lot of classical music for weddings, however, we wanted some acoustic rock. He is so versatile. When we put together a play list off his list of songs, he seemed genuinely excited. When he started playing, we thought oh wow, here we go, after all of this planning. We looked at each other and said he sounds terrific. Then he learned the song that we walked down the aisle to, Maybe I'm Amazed by Paul McCartney. He sounded so amazing that it started us off down the aisle grinning from ear to ear. He was timely, dependable. He was so accommodating. We had an outside venue and the cocktail hour was in a garden farther away, and the historic property had many sound amplification limitations. He went and bought a special battery operated amp at no charge for us. The guests loved him. It set the tone for the whole day, relaxed and fun, while being elegant. He made our wedding feel like us, not like some generic wedding where you hear the same music. He's the best. Hire him right away.

Our wedding was held in September at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens and Ben Sherman, my uncle, was the guitarist for the ceremony. Of course Ben is family, but he was just as professional, flexible and helpful as I would expect of any musician playing for our important day. From the moment we started preparing for the wedding, he treated us with the importance of any one of his clients and made sure everything was to our liking. In terms of the music itself- we cannot recommend Ben enough. The music he creates is absolutely beautiful, soulful, and comes so naturally. The air is filled with such beauty when he plays and it creates such a special atmosphere. Our guests kept coming up to us throughout the evening and even days after the wedding to compliment Ben’s music. He is an absolutely incredible musician and was a pleasure to work with. Speaking not only as family, but as bride and groom, there is absolutely no one we would more highly recommend if you want to most beautiful music for your special day.

We hired Ben to play during the cocktail hour and for the ceremony as well at my daughter's wedding. He was a pleasure to work with. The wedding was pretty low key and we just asked Ben to play what he wanted with the exception of two songs during the ceremony. He really came through. The music was appropriate and beautiful. Ben Sherman played the guitar for our wedding at the Comus Inn at Sugarloaf Mountain on May 2nd. He played both our ceremony and the cocktail hour and was fantastic! He added such a special touch to our wedding and I loved the music that he provided each step of the way. There are not enough great things that we can say about Ben. From the very beginning he was a pleasure to work with. He contacted us right away after booking to discuss what we are looking for and to get a better idea about us and our music tastes. Ben had a large repertoire of songs to choose from for our Ceremony. He even learned a song for us that wasn't in his normal set that really sealed the deal. In addition, we asked him to play music as the guests were arriving too which he did without hesitation. After we were all set and the day came he showed up with plenty of time to prepare and be ready for the event. Everything went off without problems and our songs sounded beautiful. Mr. Sherman was a pleasure to work with and he played beautifully. Many guests told me how much they enjoyed his performance. He even learned a special song for us and played it twice throughout the evening for us.

Ben was simply amazing! He was so helpful with choosing the perfect music for our ceremony. He was always available for questions, and responded so quickly to emails. His amazing talent added the perfect touch to our big day. I would highly recommend him for any event. Ben is a top notch, professional musician!

Ben Sherman was a fantastic choice for our ceremony and cocktail hour music. He has a great repertoire of songs from the more church-y traditional to classical to classic rock. He was very responsive to all emails and had a helpful form for us to fill out in advance so he knew all of the details about the flow of the ceremony. He also offers to learn special song requests if you give him enough notice. He played the musical interlude at the end of Layla before I walked down the aisle and it was beautiful and exactly what I always pictured and I couldn't help crying. Had to compose myself before walking down!

Mr. Sherman is simply the best guitar player in the region. His performance was so flawless that when I asked SEVERAL people what they thought of him, they replied that they hadn't even known it was a musician - they all thought it was a record! Not only is he technically gifted, he puts so much heart into his performance. His rendition of Train's "Marry Me" was every bit as soulful as the original, if not more so. No words can adequately describe what an amazing musician Mr. Sherman is.

Furthermore, Mr. Sherman was very prompt and professional, arriving almost exactly when he said he would, and quickly setting up. He was a pleasure to do business with.

My wife and I highly recommend him to any couple interested in classical guitar for their wedding!

We hired Ben to perform both during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. From our initial contact with Ben, he was very responsive, professional, and helpful, providing us with guidance and suggestions for the music choices. He was also willing to learn additional songs that we were interested in having as part of the ceremony. As the wedding approached, Ben followed up with us to confirm all the final details well ahead of time. On the day of the wedding, everything ran beautifully. Our guests really enjoyed the ceremony music, and the music during the cocktail hour provided just the right background. Ben was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with, and we would recommend him to anyone considering hiring a guitarist for a special event.

Ben played the guitar during the cocktail hour of my daughter's wedding. From my point of initial contact and throughout the planning process, Ben was extremely responsive. He initiated contact with me a month or so prior to the wedding to check in and inquire more specifically about the music we would like to hear. He played a wonderful mix of classical, pop classics and also some of today's popular music. He brought speakers, so the music was loud enough to be heard but never overbearing--perfect for conversation. We had a DJ for the reception, so we were looking for something a little different to kick off the party. Ben is quite talented, and he added a very elegant and classy touch to the reception. Our guests loved his music. I highly recommend Ben if you would like to add a special touch to your wedding.

Ben Sherman and my father have known each other for many years, so asking him to perform classical guitar during our ceremony and cocktail hour was a no-brainer. Ben went above and beyond to make our day exactly how we wanted it. His website provides clips of several of his songs, and he was very responsive via email. In fact, he reached out to me several times leading up to the wedding to make sure everything was as I wanted it.

Although my husband and I sadly didn't get to hear much of the music before the ceremony and during cocktail hour, all of our guests kept coming up to my parents and asking who he was, complimenting Ben's talent. His mix of older and newer songs during cocktail hour was perfect for our range of guests' ages.

I cannot say enough good things about Ben Sherman. I would recommend him to anyone. He is very affordable and the quality of music you get for the money is fantastic.

Ben was so great! He's very responsive and easy to work with. What I loved most was all his samples on his website, so I could hear every song and put together a "play list" of all his songs. He also asked about attire and themes and what not in order to match. Ben was a cake contribution to our ceremony!

Ben provided the music for our outdoor wedding ceremony as well as provided music prior to the ceremony as guests were arriving. The music Ben played was beautiful and helped set the perfect mood. Additionally, Ben was a pleasure to work with. He was very responsive to emails leading up to the wedding and had no problems executing the song requests we had. If you are considering hiring a classical guitarist for your wedding, we would definitely recommend Ben.

Ben played guitar for our ceremony and during our cocktail hour, he is wonderful! He is extremely professional, he sent me a questionnaire to fill out about the logistics of my ceremony so he would know what all would go down. He was more prepared for the ceremony then I was! I chose two songs for him to play, a processional and a recessional song, and then told him to select whatever else would compliment those songs for ceremony prelude music. For the cocktail hour, he mixed it up with some more contemporary music. He will apparently learn a song just for your day if you have a special song in mind, but I didn't ask for that. I, sadly, didn't get to enjoy his music during the cocktail hour as we were busy with photos but all of my guests said that he was wonderful. I especially need to applaud him, as I had a 1:00 pm ceremony and an outdoor cocktail hour on a VERY hot and humid July afternoon, but that didn't seem to bother him at all. I would recommend Ben to anyone!

Ben was fantastic to work with. He's very professional and flexible. He responds quickly to emails and offers suggestions and ideas about music selections. We were so happy to have him play special songs at our ceremony. He arrived on time and was very pleasant and clearly loves playing music. He's detail oriented in regards to the timeline of the ceremony, having cues, etc. I highly recommend him!

My only regret is that I didn't get to hear more of Ben Sherman's music myself! He is great to work with - very responsive, friendly and helpful. When I heard my processional song start, I started to cry! He learned the song we wanted to recess to and it was amazing. I was so excited when we got to walk back up the aisle to "Home" on acoustic guitar. Sounded amazing! He played for cocktail hour as well and everyone thought it was great. Thank you, Ben!

Benjamin played the music for my wedding ceremony. I can't even begin to explain how wonderful of a musician he is.

First of all, my wedding ceremony was outside and the guitar sounded perfect for the event. My family and friends (all guests at the wedding) absolutely loved the music. Benjamin not only performed 100% but even allowed me to make a special request for my bridal procession. A favorite childhood song from a favorite childhood fairy-tail was the song I wanted most to be played as I walked down the aisle, but there wasn't any guitar music for it. So he graciously came up with the music for me and played it during my processional. That really made my wedding day special.

Benjamin is professional and can be easily contacted by phone, e-mail and in person if needed. He performs 100% and with such grace. I am glad I chose him to play the music at my wedding ceremony and I would recommend you do the same.

We really only got to experience Ben for our ceremony even though we had him for both our ceremony and cocktail hour. That was largely due to us taking pictures during the cocktail hour. The music for our ceremony was BEAUTIFUL. Ben was so helpful and willing to work with us for our "unique" music choices. He provided plenty of samples of the music as well. So many friends and family members said when they hear him start playing "In My life" they started to cry. He was just that good. Even though we missed him for the cocktail hour, everyone raved about him. In fact, it's one of our few regrets that we didn't get to hear him play during then, but at least we heard him for our ceremony.

Also, getting him for ceremony and cocktail is an awesome idea price wise so if there are any brides out there looking to save on their budget, I would suggest going for both as the extra hour with a DJ might not provide the intimate feeling you're looking for and may also be a bit more costly.

The music he provided for our wedding was great. It was beautiful and our friends had fun trying to guess the songs they were hearing. He even provided us an extra mic and ran it through his amp for the readers to use

Benjamin was THE best! During the whole planning stage, he was helpful and responsive. He was accommodating with my requests and even helped me plan some things out. On the actual day, I saw him coming in during my first look pictures, so it was a relief since I knew he was there! I only really heard the song he played as I was walking in, but it contributed to the right tone for the ceremony that I wanted. I got tons of feedback on how great he was from the groom, bridal party and several guests and I cannot wait to see/hear him more on the video. Do not hesitate with Mr. Sherman. He can time the transitions and do exactly what you want. I had a great experience with him.

My wife and I hired Ben to play for our tenth anniversary on Nov. 30th. He played classical for our ceremony and solo acoustic for our reception. Although we had minimal contact and no rehearsal or walk through he totally knocked it out of the park. The compliments from everyone were effusive and too numerous to count. We can't recommend him highly enough and we couldn't be happier with his performance.

Ben Sherman did an excellent job as a classical acoustic guitarist for our wedding. He played prior to our ceremony, for our processional and recessional, and then during cocktail hour. His communication leading up to the big day was amazing - exactly what I hoped all my wedding vendors would be like, and he was very thorough with his questions and the details. This helped assure me that everything would be exactly as we would like it to be. I received many compliments that his music was a perfect fit for our venue and we were very impressed overall. I contacted Ben a few months before my wedding after my friend and her husband were unable to perform and I am so glad I did! He was so helpful and responsive. He helped me choose music that would work well with my wedding and even played extra music during our tea ceremony during our wedding. His amazing talent helped set an elegant and romantic mood for the wedding. It set the tone for the rest of the night. I am so happy I was able to work with Ben and he helped make my ceremony magical. Walking down the aisle to his gorgeous songs made me feel like a true bride. My daughter was having a very small wedding, and music was not high on the priority list. I searched online, and found Ben at very short notice. Once he made contact with me, everything went very smoothly. His contract was uncomplicated, and he was very prompt in returning calls and messages.
Everyone was very appreciative of the very warm background music that he provided for the event. Moreso, I would like to commend him for being flexible enough to accommodate our (very) late schedule. We were fortunate that he was able to do so.
There were other musicians that I found on line, but by comparison, Ben was the only artiste who followed through with me, in a timely manner, to provide the service that I requested. I live in NJ; the ceremony was held in MD, and all of the arrangements were accomplished very easily, and with no fuss!!

Ben Sherman was the guitarist for my wedding at the Textile Museum in Washington, D.C. on September 28th.

We used Ben for both the ceremony music and also cocktail hour music and had a fantastic experience. When we reached out to him about rates/availability he was very reponsive and helpful. His rates are extremely reasonable and provides great service. I would highly recommend this in place of an expensive string trio for a ceremony. Ben worked with me throughout the planning with sending suggestions for music and providing examples.

The day of the wedding he worked with my DJ to be hooked up to the sound system and he sounded wonderful. The timing on the ceremony was great and everyone commented how lovely the music was.

We were super happy with our choice of using Ben and would recommend him to anyone who wants either classical choices or a more modern approach. I mixed up my ceremony with Bob Dylan and also the classic bridal march and Ben made it all flow together perfectly.
