Ben was always quick to respond and happy to give recommendations and accommodate requests during the planning process.
For our engagement pictures we went to a park and included our 2 dogs in part of the shoot. He was happy to work with them and made sure to take lots of shots to account for their unpredictability. We got some very cute and funny pictures with them.
Working with him and his wife, Deanna, it felt easy and comfortable and they were always happy to go with the flow. Ben likes to make dad jokes and is always very positive and encouraging. He loves finding spots for beautiful, unique, and/or fun pictures and will try to bring out your personality in the photos. Deanna is very friendly and helpful and makes sure the details look right for your pictures. She also was quick to jump in and help guide my attendants through lacing up my corset and bustling my dress. They obviously have a lot of experience and seemed prepared for every situation. They make a great team.
We got a lot of compliments about them from our guests. -

Ben and Deanna are absolutely amazing. They definitely know what they are doing which helped since neither of me or my husband had actually been in the wedding party before our own wedding. Ben and Deanna helped us to stay on schedule for picture sessions and they helped with every additional detail for a perfect day. We received our photos back from our wedding and they are breathtaking - we are completely satisfied with the quality and diversity of photos that were taken. We were thankful to receive all of the photos too, and not just the top photos that our photographer thought were best. Ben and Deanna were absolutely the MOST amazing team to have capture our wedding day. They made us and our friends and family all feel so relaxed in front of the camera and captured beautifully everything from the planned to candid moments throughout every part of the day. Deana did such a special job adjusting those little touches to make pictures extra perfect, and Ben had a way of capturing my husband and I's joy and love in the photos he took so wonderfully. The absolute best decision you will make!
The best decision I made for my wedding was to hire Ben and Deanna! Having the two of them throughout the day was the perfect match. Deanna made sure to fix the little things like girls hair or dresses throughout all the photos which I really appreciate and the guys all loved Ben! Our photos turned out gorgeous and were exactly what we hoped. My venue was tricky and had no natural lighting and they were able to make the indoor photos look like natural lighting! We felt so comfortable with them and your photographer is with you all day so having someone you trust and who brings good energy and vibes is crucial! You get it all with them!!! BOOK THEM! -

Icing on top of an amazing day! Much more than just photographers!
When picking our wedding photographer, we really wanted someone that can do photos that were not in trend and highly edited but that were timeless and looked like us. We wanted high-quality crisp images that we could pass on to our family. Our engagement photos were first and they were amazing. My husband has red hair and I have blonde hair and they made our hair like sparkle and look so amazing. They also taught us how to pose and gave us lots of direction. It was nice to have two people for that reason. Ben and Deana work as a really experienced team in that way on our wedding day. It was also nice to have two people as the bread and cream could be separate but still get all good photos. I loved celebrating with Ben and Deana too. They are very fun and I was really sad to see them leave on our wedding day because they kicked off the original festivities and it felt like they were our partners in making the day goes smoothly. When are wedding planner was nowhere to be found. They also acted as personal attendance and friends as they helped me with my dress and make up and when I got nervous they were there to call me down. Honestly, having them as our photographers was one of my favorite parts of the whole day and I’m so glad that they were there and we got to meet them. -

Ben & Deanna are excellent photographers!
Ben and Deanna photographed our wedding on June 25, 2022 and they were absolutely AMAZING! They had previously photographed my sisters wedding in 2019 and I knew that I wanted them for my wedding as well because they were that great. They are both so nice, they know all of the great photo shots to take, and we love looking back on all of our wedding photos! An engagement session is included in their pricing and 10 hours of coverage on the day of the wedding, which was perfect to get all the photos we wanted. I highly recommend choosing Ben Saefke Photography for your photography needs, you won’t regret it! -

Wholeheartedly recommend
I highly recommend working with Ben and Deanna. We first met Ben for our engagement photo session, which was included. It was a great way for us to get to know him and vice versa in a low-pressure setting. Even though it was almost a year between that session and our wedding, we felt completely comfortable and in great hands when he and Deanna showed up on the wedding day. We probably spent more time with them than we did with any individual guests throughout the day and felt like they were friends by the end of the day. They rolled with the punches and were proactive to ensure all the shots we wanted from the day were captured. The final product was everything we hoped for, and I can't imagine a better experience. So Grateful for Ben Saefke's Photography!
Where do I begin?! Due to Covid I was now on my 3rd wedding date and my original photographer was no longer available. I came across Ben Saefke Photography and was immediately interested. A husband and wife duo for photography. How perfect is that to help capture a wedding?! I LOVED that I was getting TWO photographers who knew each other and worked so well together. Ben and Deanna are so comfortable to be around and when you meet them you feel like you've known them forever. I could not believe the flexibility, quality of work, time, and effort that they put into their work for an incredibly unbeatable price. They took photos all day and I got to see every single one of them and share them with family and friends. I truly cannot count the amount of people who reached out to me and commented on how beautiful my photos are. Ben & Deanna gave me something that I cannot thank them enough for- photos to always look back on to remember that special day. -

The Best Team!!
Back again after Ben and Deanna shot our May 2023 wedding - we had high hopes after our engagement photos with them and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! There is so much hustle during the wedding day, and I found Deanna to be the perfect calming presence, I was so glad they were with us all day! Ben helped soothe any nerves by bringing so much energy and hype for us - I've never felt so confident in front of a camera as I did on the wedding day! They did a great job getting excellent shots of our dog, multiple young cousins, all of our guests having a great time, and some sentimental moments with parents and grandparents (on top of all the planned portraits!!). They truly seemed to be everywhere at once and captured SO much!! I have no clue how to pick out photos to print, there are too many favorites! I will forever be grateful to them for capturing all of our memories from our big day, and could not recommend a better couple to trust with your wedding day photos. -

Ben and Deanna were absolutely amazing! Deanna and Ben were amazing on the day of, despite many changes to our wedding day (we got married December 2020 at the peak of pandemic). They went above and beyond, doing all the little touches. We are in love with our photos and we are so happy we could share them with the loved ones who could not come due to circumstances. It also ended up being the last time we were with one of our grandmothers before she passed, and Ben found this amazing shot of her watching us - it is one of my favorite photos and memories of the day! -

They have photographed my cousins wedding and another close friend and they did an amazing job- so I knew I had to have them do ours too! Where do I begin? We searched long and hard for the perfect photographer but there are so many out there. Thankfully, a few of my old coworkers referred me to Ben. From the beginning, Ben was very professional and got back to me very quickly. We had our engagement photos done at Willow River State Park where we met Ben for the first time. He is super friendly, easy to get along with, and made us feel super comfortable in front of the camera. Those pictures turned out SO great, it made us even more excited for the wedding. At the wedding, we met Deanna, Ben’s wife, who is also amazing. Their attention to detail was really appreciated as I was too distracted with happiness and joy that I couldn’t focus on anything. We had so much fun with them at our wedding and could not have asked for a better pair to be following us around for a day. We got married at the River Room at Aster Cafe and had numerous places to get some great shots! Well, let me tell you, they got all the shots! Our photos turned out so great and we are beyond happy! We will cherish these photos forever. We will work with Ben and Deanna in the future for sure! -

The first time we learned of Ben Saefke Photography was at my sister’s wedding and instantly took a liking to them. When we saw their sneak peek photos we took one look and said, “We need to book them, immediately!” Luckily, they were available on our wedding date so we locked them in. Leading up to our wedding Ben made sure we felt at ease and helped walk through timelines of the day and what we envisioned.
Although the main goal of hiring a photographer is to capture important moments of the day, Ben and Deanna did so much more than that. As a husband-wife duo they have this special “x factor” that is hard to describe. They are so in sync and know how to capitalize on the venue, setting, and weather. My favorite thing is that they capture the same moments from different perspectives. Pure gold!
They had our best interests in mind the entire day. Since our wedding took place on November 3rd on Lake Superior it was rather chilly. My dress was sleeveless, so Deanna literally took the coat off her back to put on me between photos. Ben was a rock star at keeping everyone in check and on schedule, but also has this special way of making everyone feel comfortable (even those who aren’t fans of being photographed). Most importantly, he makes it what it should be – fun!
As we waited to get our sneak peek in anticipation, we knew the photos would be remarkable. When we saw the first handful we were acting likes kids on Christmas morning, haha.
If you have the chance to work with Ben Saefke Photography, you will be forever thankful you did. They are truly passionate and talented photographers who capture life, love, and adventure.

They can recommended from two separate friends in different groups who raved about them and they definitely lived up to the hype! The day of my wedding was a dream and I don’t know how we would’ve done it without them! Deanna sees things I would never have thought to fix or arrange and Ben has such a wonderful eye for that perfect shot and the humor to keep us laughing through a million pics. I 100% recommend them! We had our engagement photos with Ben on one of the coldest days of the year, and our wedding on one of the warmest!!! On our wedding, they came in around 11am and got straight to work. They started putting photos together of my dress, shoes, etc. And Deanna started helping us all get ready! I am so excited to see the pictures, but I already know they will be perfect. They were the perfect addition to our wedding. I can't imagine our day without them! They took the time to make sure my husband and I were both doing ok and not stressing out too much.
