  Creative, striking photography...even in a pandemic!

  We highly recommend hiring Ben as your wedding photographer. He is an exceedingly kind and thoughtful person, who is a joy to work with. We are in awe of his engagement and wedding photos. His style brings an incredible amount of warmth and emotion to each photo. Ben showed much flexibility and grace in working with us during every twist and turn to planning a wedding during COVID. His photos even captured the beauty and oddities that came with our pandemic wedding.

  Positive energy, great photos, great price

  Ben is awesome! His photos really drew me in because they were full of movement and emotion -- a great mix of journalistic and classic shots. The short version is that from start to finish Ben was responsive, professional, positive, and gave us a great product at a great price. More details: We hired Ben to photograph our small wedding (25 people) in a small cafe, and opted for an engagement shoot as well. Ben is incredibly responsive, direct, and thorough -- just a great communicator all around, which is what you need when you're planning a wedding or big event. When he's photographing you, he's full of energy and ideas, and gives great directions. He's positive and clearly enjoys what he's doing, and he made it fun for us. We always felt like he was fully prepared and creatively pumped -- he'd scoped out the scene and was testing the lighting and thinking in advance where different shots might be. Our wedding venue had me worried at first...that it would be tough to get good photos no matter how skilled the photographer might be. But from the beginning to the end, Ben was full of good ideas and he just made it happen, and all while being very accommodating to my family (think, reaching over grandma as she uses her phone to take pics front and center, and with zero complaints and always polite). The finished product is simply wonderful. We are so grateful we could work with Ben for our engagement and wedding photos, and highly recommend him for your next event!

  Ben recently photographed both my engagement pictures and my wedding. Before the wedding weekend he took our engagement pictures at the venue so that he could get ideas for the wedding and get to know us so that we would be more comfortable with him on the day of the wedding. Ben was with us for 11 hours day of the wedding and ran in circles all day to capture the bride and groom getting ready, family and friends setting up the venue, and all the behind the scenes activity. Ben never felt intrusive, but worked great with my family and friends and got the little kids to open up and smile for him. He made suggestions to the DJ throughout the night, such as where to have the garter toss so that we could take advantage of the lighting. Our favorite shot was that immediately after our outdoor ceremony Ben climbed up on a ladder to take a group shot of all the wedding guests, that shot is priceless! Ben is very creative and got great shots of little details like cufflinks and zipping the wedding gown. All of our guests raved about how impressed they were by him and his dedication to making the day perfect for us. Ben surprised us by sharing 40 photos of the wedding with us just a week after the event so that we could have a sneak peek. He just finished the hundreds of photos for the entire wedding and sent them to us 5 days before we were expecting them! Ben is very easy to work with and communicates quickly via email. He took lots of suggestions from us and was even willing to learn light photography to get some fun sparkler photos at night. He is great at utilizing natural light rather than relying on flash. We really appreciate all of Ben's hard work to capture the day without appearing too intrusive or staging everything. I would recommend Ben to anyone, and know that my family looks forward to using him again in the future!

  Ben far exceeded our expectations. In fact, I am a bit fearful of leaving something out in this review given all Ben did for us. Of all of our wedding vendors, Ben will be the one that we will remember the most. He was the most personable and the one with whom we developed a strong rapport. From the beginning of the process through the end, my (now!) wife and I had a lot of thoughts, suggestions and ideas (too many probably) and Ben patiently listened and incorporated exactly what we wanted while also offering his own thoughts and ideas based on his photogenic eye and experiences. Ben's package is a steal. From an engagement shoot, to traveling out of town (and state) for the wedding itself, to his thorough editing, to the easily accessible online gallery, to the top-of-the-line album, and finally the thoughtful delivery of the flash drive (we won't go into detail to keep that part a surprise), we couldn't have asked for anything more. If you are looking for the photojournalism style for your wedding (the one that tells a story of the big day instead of just a bunch of family photos), it would be well worth your money and memories to book Ben as soon as possible. We're so glad we did. - Frank and Kristin

  Ben is a professional photographer. He is very flexible and has a lot of patience with his clients. He photographed our engagement shots which came out to be very beautiful and he also shot our wedding pictures starting from the beginning to end of the event (12 hours). His work on June 29th was an epitome of excellence. As a matter of fact when the time comes for pregnancy and baby pictures, we will be utilizing Ben's services.   A wonderful photographer! What stands out most is his enthusiasm for getting a good shot. When he sees something he likes, he shoots it with pure joy, which instantly puts you at ease as the subject. Sometimes getting your picture taken can be uncomfortable, but it never is with Ben! Highly recommend for any wedding, engagement or anything special in your life!

  We hired Ben immediately after a first meeting with him a couple months before our wedding. He immediately struck us as someone who we thought could really capture our vision. Ben is extremely passionate photography, and actively worked to make our day special. My wife and I are thrilled with the portfolio of pictures we have now and love the special moments Ben captured. I definitely recommend Ben for any small wedding. My only critique, and it by no means should deter you from exploring an option with Ben, wedding photography is not Bens day job, and he occasionally was slow to respond to emails. Besides that minor flaw, we had a great experience and we're very pleased with our pictures!
