We couldn't have been happier to have Ross as our DJ and lighting/AV support and would recommend him to any couple. He was professional and understood our vibe immediately. He lit our space beautifully, accentuating the venue and capturing the atmosphere we wanted without us needing to spend a ton of time getting into the weeds of the details. He found ways to work in songs that we wanted while being very honest about his process and what would work best to keep the crowd going all night, and you can absolutely trust his instincts and experience. We had so many compliments from our guests about the music, and a special shoutout to him for respecting our "no" songs enough to literally turn down a real-money bribe from a guest - you can tell his character and professionalism from that alone! -

A DJ Who Truly Gets It
We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! From the ceremony to the last dance, everything was perfectly timed, energetic, and exactly the vibe we wanted. Ross read the crowd so well and kept the dance floor vibing all night—we had guests telling us it was the most fun they’ve had at a wedding in years!
Not only was he incredibly easy to work with (responsive, flexible, and totally in tune with our music preferences) but he also surprised us throughout the evening with little “Easter egg” songs we had only casually mentioned before. It was such a thoughtful touch and kept us grinning all night.
Ross really nailed a few special requests that meant a lot to us. Squeezing in multiple songs from BoomBox during our dinner? Heck yea, my guy!! Sweet Caroline for my grandmother named Caroline?? Bless. Seriously, if you're looking for a DJ who will elevate your wedding to the next level, this is your person. We can’t thank him enough! -

Ross was the DJ during our reception and did a great job! We met with him before and he asked questions to get the vibe of what we were looking for. We trusted him to curate a playlist and play music that would get the crowd dancing. Ross did a wonderful job!!! -

Hiring Ross was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He kept our guests on the dance floor all night and knew exactly what music to play at any given moment to keep the energy high. He was so easy to work with and really listened to all of our preferences with music. Our guests were coming up to us all night to comment on how great the music was and how impressed they were by our DJ. He did an expert job at running mics and music for our ceremony and officiants, and even cut specific songs for certain dances at our reception. Ross also provided uplighting and cold spark machines, which both added so much to our night. He went out of his way to make us, our vendors, and our loved ones who were giving toasts feel comfortable with how things were going to run and when things were going to happen, and he was always willing to do whatever he needed to to make sure we had the night we wanted. -

We can't thank Ross enough for the job he did on our wedding night. it was seriously above and beyond awesome. the music was perfect. the dance floor never emptied out. Family and friends are still talking about how fun the dance floor was. We were told by guests that that was the wedding of the century. I cannot begin to tell you how many compliments we had about the music selection. We could not of asked for a better dj. Our Vows, speeches, and dances went off without a hitch. Ross will set the perfect mood for your wedding. We cannot thank him enough. -

Ross was a fantastic vendor! Our most important want for our wedding was for it to be a big party on the dance floor, and Ross made sure that wish came true. He did all of the heavy lifting for us and ensured guests loved the music without us having to provide detailed instructions or playlists, which is exactly what we were hoping for. And he really helped us at the rehearsal dinner by providing a microphone setup when our restaurant didn't have what we needed. Highly recommend! -

Ross at Bela Sono Music was an absolutely fantastic DJ that we cannot recommend enough for others. He discussed early with us our vision of the wedding and our music taste - and he met all of our expectations. He worked seamlessly with our planner and photographers. He was professional and was the perfect MC and host for the evening. His uplighting transformed our ballroom into a magical and intimate space. Cannot recommend enough. -

I had the pleasure of working with Ross for my Sept. 2021 wedding. My husband and I really cared about the music at our wedding, and it was important to us that the wedding be inclusive of all generations, interests, and cultures as I'm Mexican. Music is the best way to incorporate everyone if it's done right. Ross nailed the assignment - he had both sides of our families dancing all night long as well as our friends. Again, not an easy task as our friends like an eclectic mix of music from EDM, hip-hop, and pop hits. We also upgraded to his lights feature and it was such a fun way to keep the dance floor busy.
He also worked with us and other vendors seamlessly. Highly professional and personable. Hire Ross and Bela Sono! -

Ross was absolutely amazing! Having a wedding during a pandemic is no easy task and we were worried about the flow of the reception and how things would go. We had no need to worry as Ross entertained perfectly! He played exactly the type of music we discussed and he adjusted for the crowd. Music for each aspect of our wedding, from the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception, was spot on and fit exactly what that moment needed. Ross also helped us layout the timing of everything at the reception. He knows exactly what to do and can guide you through each part of the day. We couldn't have asked for anyone better! -

We decided to book Ross and his team to handle our music for our wedding and we are so happy with our decision! Aaron was so easy to work with and had done exactly what we had requested of him. Having a wedding during a pandemic is tough as is and having someone like Aaron make it feel less stressful which helped us so much. We worked with Ross to DJ our wedding and he was fantastic! We asked for a strange list of nerdy songs and he seamlessly interwove them to make a great night. Also, we had some interesting DJ challenges because of the architecture of our venue and Ross worked with us to make things work. It was a great experience to work with him and I highly recommend booking him for your event! -

I am a music junkie, proudly proclaimed, and that meant any event of mine was going to be scrutinized intensely when it came to music. Ross took my visions and created a powerful soundscape of art. I cannot even begin to craft the right words to express the joy that he and the team at Bela Sono brought me, and everyone else that attended my wedding. They had people singing in their seats all through dinner and then the dance floor was never not packed with people grinning ear to ear and dancing the night away. I'm so glad I found Bela Sono. They came recommended from my friend and I'm so glad I booked them. From the first conversation with Ross, I knew I was working with a professional, high-end, reputable business. I felt at ease. Once I connected with my day-of DJ, Ryan Brooks, I was even happier. Ryan gave me comfort, made me laugh, and assured me he knew what we wanted for our day. We didn't want some cheesy DJ cracking jokes and trying to "steal the show". Ryan made sure he enhanced the night with great music, tailored commentary, and great timing--nothing felt forced or overly choreographed. I had a ton of "surprise" elements in my reception and Ryan spoke with me at length to make sure he knew what we were looking for. We could not have pulled off the night without them. Thank you! -

Aaron Platt was our DJ, and let me tell you, he was amazing. We had a wedding planner, so our main interaction with Aaron was to discuss the music and the schedule once or twice before the wedding. We're both busy physicians and gave Aaron relatively little to work with - a must play list, a couple of other songs we listen to regularly, we told him no country music, that was about it.
Aaron put on the best party of all time. I honestly don't remember his presence that much - he was not intrusive, mostly really in the background, running the party with the music behind the scenes. But everyone said it was the best party and most fun wedding they had ever been to - song after song was perfect for the mood, and everyone danced all night. Aaron is the best! -

DJ Ross is amazing! I've never been to a wedding with that many people of all ages tearing up the dance floor! We met ahead of time to talk about what sort of music we liked, the schedule/order for the wedding night, etc. He had great ideas on how to get people dancing and I was astonished at how much fun everyone had! We shut our venue down, dancing and laughing, and it is all thanks to Bela Sono! Highly recommend! -

Ross is wonderful! He listened to our music requests and had everyone on the dance floor all night! We had a decent amount of specific music requests and he was attentive to them all. A DJ can make or break a reception so we were selective in choosing our DJ and are so happy that we chose Ross! If you want a great reception with great music, look no further than Bela Sono Music! -
Bethany Sent on 04/22/2018Ross with Bella Sono music was our wedding DJ recently. My wife is a professional wedding photographer and had worked with him in a professional context previously. She mentioned that he would be a good fit when I was trying to pick out the DJ for our event. We met with him prior to the wedding and I could tell that he was going to be perfect. I had some interesting musical ideas for the dinner music (hip-hop and big band), he took my ideas in stride and provided some great ideas on how to make my thoughts a reality without offending Grandma.
On the day of the big event, he showed up early and set up both inside for the dance floor and outside at the ceremony site. Everyone in attendance heard the ceremony crystal clear. During the family formal photos he brought both my wife and I drinks, totally above and beyond, but absolutely awesome!
For the rest of the evening you could see how he treats DJing as an art form, he read the room well and slowed it down when people were tired and then brought up the energy when everyone was ready to party down. The dance floor was packed for the full evening and I was told on multiple occasions that this was one of the most fun weddings they had attended. In talking with my wife afterward, we are certain this is in large part due to Ross's great work. We cannot recommend him enough and we look forward to hiring him again for our next big event. -

Talking things through with him from our first meeting to days before the reception, he was clearly experienced, willing to offer ideas, and willing to listen. I felt absolutely confident going into our big day that he'd be a great emcee and a thoughtful DJ, and I was right. Ross kept the floor full almost the full reception, he provided a great mix of music and was the perfect voice of our "shoe" game. He was the life of the party behind the scenes, and I couldn't have asked for a more amazing night. Thanks, Ross!! -

Lisa Sent on 05/12/2018We got married in April 2018. We hired Ross as our DJ after having an introductory consultation over the phone. He was a little pricier than we had budgeted for a DJ but after working with Ross over the past few months I understand why. Ross was always responsive to all of our questions and was great at offering suggestions when we were drawing a blank. He was extremely organized, my photographer who has been doing weddings for 10+ years was shocked at how detail oriented he was simply by reviewing the timeline he helped us create. We opted for the uplighting, gobo, and pin light on our cake. They all turned out better than we had expected! We didn't meet Ross until the wedding day but that being said we almost didn't know he was there, when I was being pulled in 20 directions, he knew exactly what needed to be done and was spot on in every aspect of what we had discussed and planned. We are so glad we chose Ross as our DJ and would recommend him to everyone we know. Thank you Ross! -
