Everything We Hoped For & More
We had the most amazing experience with Bonnie as our officiant for our wedding on 4-11-2026. She had us fill out a questionnaire beforehand, which ended up being such a special part of the process. It gave us a chance to reflect and walk down memory lane together, and you could tell she really used that to understand us. I was honestly a little nervous not knowing what she had prepared for our ceremony, but I chose to trust her and it was one of the best decisions I made. She captured us perfectly. The ceremony felt so personal and genuine, filled with meaningful moments, laughter, and so much heart. It was everything we hoped for and more. I truly could not recommend Bonnie enough. -

Bonnie was an absolute gem! Her process for getting to know you as a couple is so easy yet thorough. She arrived on time for the rehearsal and was so friendly and personable. Her advice was incredibly helpful to make the ceremony go smoothly, and she really walks you through the whole process ensuring you're comfortable and prepared for your big day! Her ceremony script was great! We wanted something playful and light hearted but still heartwarming and memorable. She did just that- making tasteful jokes but not too many, and really diving deep into my husband and my journey/love story. There were laughs and tears and the perfect pictures, as Bonnie knew to step aside as my husband and I shared our kiss! Bonnie was very professional, helpful, and friendly. Definitely worth the price and convenience to have a very experienced and thoughtful officiant! -

An amazing and unforgettable ceremony - Bonnie exceeded all expectations
Bonnie’s ceremony was a million times better than anything we could have imagined!! … and a million times better than any wedding we’ve ever attended!
As a couple, we expected the ceremony to be the shortest, least interesting part of the evening, but Bonnie truly made it the showstopper of the entire night. Bonnie wove together the story of our relationship into an amazingly fun, joyous, and exciting tale that everyone wanted to listen to. All our guests were moved by joy, laughter, heartfelt moments, and even some tears of happiness. Bonnie was full of wit, compassion, professionalism, and thoughtfulness. One guest arrived late and was told by other guests that he “missed the best part of the evening.” Several “burly” guests shared their surprise at feeling a tear or two. Other guests asked us to send the ceremony video so they could listen again.
Everyone – family, friends, and guests – said they had never experienced such an amazing ceremony. Not only did Bonnie craft the words extremely well, but her presentation was exceptional to listen to. Bonnie was clear, easy to hear, engaging, and uplifting.
Aside from the ceremony itself, working with Bonnie was nothing short of amazing. From our very first interactions onward, she provided good communication and follow-up. Bonnie started the process by giving us a questionnaire to gather the details she needed to write “our story.” It was fun going through this and answering as we reminisced as a couple. Then Bonnie enhanced our story by adding meaningful quotes, poems, and thoughtful references targeted to our maritime celebration. At our request, Bonnie also provided very helpful direction on how we could conduct the celebration from all technical aspects… approaching, standing, looking out for my dress, writing vows vs. using hers, tips for the best photos, and so forth. Bonnie made us feel at ease and confident the ceremony would go very well, and that she would be looking out for us all along the way.
We cannot say enough, Bonnie exceeded all our expectations. We highly recommend Bonnie.

I would recommend Bonnie Brown Scott to anyone who is looking for a wedding officiant. My husband and I were married on November 19, 2022, on Tilghman Island and hired Bonnie to be our officiant after searching online for someone who felt like they could be a good fit for us. We saw the reviews about Bonnie and decided to work with her for our big day ... This was the best decision we made throughout our wedding process. Bonnie sent us two questionnaires to fill out to help her create a unique ceremony for us, and the amount of compliments we received from our guests about how amazing Bonnie’s ceremony was was overwhelming! Many guests said it was the “most fun,” and “least boring,” ceremony they have ever attended. Our guests could have sworn she knew us personally or must have been a family member – but the truth is Bonnie is just fantastic at what she does and takes the time to get to know her clients in order to create a perfectly unique ceremony. Our guests also told us, “It was so cold outside, thank God your officiant kept making everyone laugh, because that was the only thing keeping us warm!” Being a very “type A” person, I was a little worried when I asked Bonnie for a draft of the ceremony a couple days before the wedding and she said, “There is not a draft for you to read. I prefer your emotion be real instead of rehearsed.” Much to my own dismay, I was absolutely elated and honestly in awe at how funny, witty, experienced, caring, and emotional Bonnie was. Bonnie, if you get any out-of-state requests from Kentucky or Massachusetts asking you to be an officiant, just know it was because all of our guests could not stop talking about how wonderful you were and said they would recommend you to anyone they know who is getting married in the future! - Faron and Kayla -

Bonnie was our officiant for our wedding last month and I cannot say enough good things about her. The rehersal went so smooth with how she ran through the ceremony portion. Even my wedding planner was impressed with how great she did. Her wedding ceremony was perfect for us. It mixed a traditional ceremony, humor and our personal experiences together. Before the wedding Bonnie is thorough on what you want in your ceremony as to how much religion, traditional, writings, etc. She was always very responsive to any questions I had. Brandon and I received so many compliments on how great Bonnie was during the ceremony. She is not only an officiant, she becomes a friend to the bride and groom. I would recommend her to anyone looking for the perfect officiant! -

Amazing throughout the whole process
Bonnie was amazing throughout the whole process. It was odd to choose a wedding officiant you've never met in person but her reviews sealed the deal for me and my partner and we're so glad we found her. This may have been the easiest part of our wedding planning process. She was very responsive, explained the whole process/paperwork through and through, and wrote a beautiful ceremony that was very personal to us.
She unfortunately was exposed to covid before our wedding and couldn't perform the service herself but had a backup (Cass) ready to go. Cass did an amazing job. I appreciated the concern for keeping everyone safe and for the quick resolution. This situation could have been extremely stressful but Bonnie and Cass made the transition as seamless and easy as can be. I recommend Beginnings and Ends to anyone who wants a beautiful and personalized ceremony. -

The Best Wedding Ever By all that Attended
Bonnie knew exactly what we wanted after a phone call, zoom call and answers to a questionnaire . The service included our entire family reading and she segued from the 4 year old grandson to the adult children without missing a beat. The service was perfect and added so much to the weekend. We loved Bonnie during our first call, especially her point that Vows carry their weights because you may need them to go through difficult phases in life together. Working with her was one of the best decisions we have made during wedding planning!! She wrote the ceremony so beautifully, combining our personal stories. Several guests came to us saying this was the best ceremony they have ever been to. People laughed during the ceremony, and I cried when looking back the video. Perfect elopement
When I began planning for my elopement at The Inn at Perry Cabin, Bonnie was one of the choices on the recommended list. James and I are so happy that we chose her. Fantastic Time

Bonnie was professional, genuine, and so very kind throughout the entire working relationship. Bonnie married my husband and I in her hometown, so she provided, upon my request, a little background of the area for the out-of-town wedding guests. She was extremely easy to work with, was whole-heartedly excited throughout the ceremony, and made my wedding day that much better. After the wedding, she sent me directions on how to change my name. Bonnie is such a wonderful person! She is easily the most personable person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Our rehearsal day was the most breezy day in April by far this year and she was a trooper. We hired Bonnie to officiate our micro-wedding (8 guests). Bonnie was extremely responsive and super friendly. We didn't do a rehearsal with her since neither of us had bridal parties. We spoke with her a few days prior to the wedding and she walked us through what the ceremony would look like, what we should say, etc. She took care of mailing the marriage certificate after the ceremony so we don't have to worry about that, and she sent me an email with everything I need to do, in order, if I am changing my name. I can’t say enough good things about Reverend Bonnie! Though we had only communicated via email prior to our wedding, you never would have known it from our wedding ceremony. We used Beginnings and Ends for our wedding this past weekend at Bohemia Overlook. Bonnie was everything we wanted in an officiant. My fiance and I didn't belong to a church so we searched WeddingWire for an officiant. Bonnie came up as a top result with excellent reviews. We decided we wanted to meet with her. Well, from the moment we met her, we knew she was going to be the perfect minister for us! She asked us what type of ceremony we had in mind and questions tailored to get an idea of what we were looking for. She sent us a questionnaire to complete to get to know us more. I was worried she wouldn't have enough information because my fiance likes to write one line responses. Lol. She said she had exactly what she needed and was excited to write our ceremony.
Rehearsal day comes and she walks us through the different parts of the ceremony without giving away what she is going to say. We decided we wanted a hand fasting ceremony as well to symbolize unity. She mentioned it could be a little clunky but walked us through it at rehearsal and it turned out great.
Our wedding day comes and we were just blown away with the beautiful ceremony she created for us. It felt like she has known us for years because of the personal touches Bonnie included from the answers we provided. She made us (and our guests) laugh at moments and tear up at moments. The ceremony fit us completely. It was sweet and silly... loving and sentimental... the perfect mix of us.

We live on the West Coast and found Bonnie through Wedding Wire. We communicated over email and after filling out a questionnaire, Bonnie took care of the rest.
Bonnie performed a beautiful ceremony and personalized every last word that she spoke. It ended up raining during the wedding and Bonnie took it in stride, made us laugh about it, and never once worried about the overall quality. She helped keep us at easy and navigated the ceremony with such poise.
We HIGHLY recommend Bonnie for future weddings. -

She was easy to talk to during our first introduction call, and really got to know the story of how my husband and I met, which she then later used during the ceremony in a beautiful poem she found. She was just a simple phone call or email away whenever you had questions because of course I had no idea how things worked. The most impressive part was how hard she worked to pronounce our last name, and she nailed it on the day of the wedding!

Carli Sent on 10/23/2017I knew Bonnie outside of this business, and from the time I got engaged I knew I wanted her officiate our wedding. Her personality and sparkle shines threw in her heartfelt words. She is very professional and took the time to make sure we were satisfied. She gave us many options for our non domination wedding. I had many of our guest tell me after the wedding how much they enjoyed the ceremony. We are very happy with our decision to go with Beginning and Ends!
