Angel has to be one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She was such a joy to work with. She felt like one of my best friends or cousins. She was super respectful towards my mom and mother-in-law calling them “auntie” which is a huge sign of respect in our Filipino culture.
I chose Angel from Wedding Wire. I saw a picture she took of a bride with beautiful Hollywood waves and this purple/pinkish make-up which I thought was perfect for my purple-themed wedding and my blush-toned wedding dress.
The process was simple. I inquired via Wedding Wire which turned into email correspondence and Angel was quick with responses. Once I was ready to book, she sent over a contract asking wedding day details and asked for a retainer fee which was paid via Venmo. Final payments could be made electronically a few days before your event or with cash the day of the event, which I did.
Angel offered a trial for my desired services for hair and make-up. That was the first time I met her in person and she was so sweet and welcoming. I felt like I was hanging out with my favorite cousin. She played dope music while working on me. I had an asthma attack and she made sure I was good by giving me tea and turned on the air filter. Her work and artistry is impeccable. I have vitiligo in my eyebrow and eyelid and she covered that up beautifully.
During the wedding day, Angel and her team came in the morning as scheduled and she brought chairs and ring lights. Angel managed the day perfectly and even finished super early and ahead of the schedule she created for the day. I looked felt beautiful on my wedding day. We made minor change to my look opting for a less glossy lip to a more matte look and she was more than happy to make that change. She even provided each girl with a touch up kit. I only had to touch up my lips twice. My look lasted the entire day and by the end of the night my oily skin had a glow to it but did not look oily. Angel really did a great job taking care of me and my oily skin.
I had a great time with Angel and her and her team are extremely talented a genuinely wonderful people. I would give anything to work with her again and I am desperately trying to find an excuse to do so. The proof is in the pudding and you are getting a high-quality, highly talented artist.
Thank you again for making me look beautiful on the most important day of my life!

Monica was hired to do my makeup & hair as I was a bridesmaid for my bestfriends wedding. She had already hired someone for herself, but on the day of the wedding she had requested if Monica can get her ready as well. I was surprised due to how particular my best friend was that she was changing artists morning off. Couldn’t have been a better artist to get us ready. Thank you Monica, you nailed the look for us that morning and the photos are timeless! -

Best Experience Ever!
Monica is a sweetheart! All you have to do is show her what your inspo is and she will make it happen! She’s very educated in the hair and make up business, keeping up with any new trends. I’ve been going to her for over 12 years for any event I needed to glam up - even my wedding! I’d definitely fly her to the Philippines when I have my church wedding in the future. Thank you for your dedicated work! Book her ASAP! You won’t regret it! -

Took me a while to write this because I hate to harm a small business, but I wouldn't want anyone else to have the experience I had.
From the start Monica was very unresponsive. I paid my deposit and she didn't confirm she received it until I'd followed up five times over the span of two months. She didn't confirm she was coming for my trial until 9pm the night before my bridal shower. When she got there I told her I was worried about her lack of responsiveness and she said "Hahaha yeah I'm bad at responding". No apology or promise to do better, just excused her behavior.
My trial makeup ended up separating a lot, so I made sure to tell her so we could fix it for my day of. She assured me that she'd take steps to fix it. My wedding makeup separated and came off so badly before my ceremony that my bridesmaids took some of it off and fixed it for the ceremony. After the ceremony I took off the whole face of make up and redid it myself because it was coming off so badly. Three other bridal party members had bad separation on their makeup as well.
She also said she was bringing and assistant that would do everyone's hair while she did makeup. The assistant was her niece that just curled peoples hair and did nothing else. Monica did all makeup and then styled everyones hair so we finished over an hour late.
Overall, Monica is very nice in person, but the anxiety of dealing with a vendor who consistently ignores her paying customers and produces bad results on such a special day led to a terrible experience. Book someone else for your peace of mind! -

Save your time and energy and look elsewhere. She completely ghosted me, good thing I had a feeling that this would happen due to her recent reviews so I was able to book another artist just less than a month before my wedding. I paid my deposit in November 2024, my wedding is in June 2025. I messaged her via email, Instagram and text message around March for a bridal trail and it took her forever to finally respond back to me, however we still do not have a trail booked. We’re now in May and I still haven’t booked my trail, she has completely stopped responding back to me at this point and my wedding is one month away. I decided it was time to look elsewhere since she wasn’t responding. Luckily I was able to dispute my deposit via Venmo. -

Regret booking with her. Paid deposit of $250 last year on May 16, 2024 for my bridesmaids hair and makeup. I had my own separate girl. I sent her a message in January to add 2 more people for services. I had already a big party all my bridesmaids which was 6 2 flower girls, and 2 families with the extra 2 it was 4 family members. She said no problem and let her know a month before the wedding. My wedding was May 3rd 2025. On March 15th I sent a message confirming I will add the 2 family members. She didn’t reply then March 20 I sent a message saying just make it 1 family member. She did respond immediately. Then I sent her the address of the Airbnb we were at and asked her if we need to provide anything. No response. She didn’t even read my messages. On April 23rd I sent her a message asking when is a good time to call and chat about timeline and everything. Crickets no response didn’t open my message. My wedding was a week and a half away. So I had. A feeling I was being ghosted. I started panicking sent a messages to all my bridesmaids that we have to look somewhere else and pray someone is Available. Luckily we found someone. So on May 8th I messaged her thanking her for scamming me and almost reining my day. I informed her I will be reporting her. Even my hair and makeup artist had reached out to her and even posted on her stories and got multiple girls telling her the same thing that they were scammed. She replied to my message saying my wedding wasn’t canceled with her and that other bride tried to canceled and wanted a refund and didn’t read her contract correctly. I replied back but to this day 5/16 she still hasn’t read or replied to me. -

I book this MUA for my wedding. Sent her the deposit and everything. Come time to book a trial and she has completely ghosted me. I looked at her IG and there's even a post here mentioning they were also ghosted. Scam artist is more like it, not MUA. DO NOT BOOK. I can't believe people do things like this to others. -

If I could leave zero stars I would. I sent my deposit several months before my wedding and then Monica ghosted me. She stopped responding to my texts, emails, calls and instagram messages. She posts on Instagram videos of her working out but does not respond to my attempts to contact her. Planning a wedding is already a lot then your makeup girl takes your money and disappears... Disappointed. Had good reviews when I booked her and she was extremely responsive until she got my money, then GONE! DO NOT BOOK BEAUTYMDLUXORY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. SCAM. -

Lack of communication= poor customer service
I have been trying to follow up with this vendor regarding a few things. I venmoed her the deposit and sent her the contract on Feb 28th. On 3/1 I asked her about extensions and she responded so I sent her my inspo photos. I also asked her to include a tattoo cover up on my invoice which she did not respond to and then followed up on the 5th due to no response. I emailed her on the 19th to follow up cause I still have not received the invoice, and to inquire about when I should book the hair and makeup trial- no response. I followed up with her on instagram on the 24th. She responded the following day on the 25th to inform me that she would get back to me that day but she didn’t. I followed up with her again that night to inform her that I didn’t receive an email and suggested a quick 5 min phone call instead. She responded to me the following day to say we can do a phone call that day however didn’t give me any details on the time. I informed her of how my work schedule is (schedule comes out months in advance) and that I have other obligations which is why I need to book the hair and make up trial. NO RESPONSE until this day.
The few times she did respond she could have answered my questions or booked me instead of coming up with her new administrative assistant as an excuse or continuing to delay communicating with me. I should have received my invoice the within a week after booking. This has not been an issue with any other vendors that I have booked. The lack of customer service and communication is not a stressor that a bride should deal with, or how a business should be conducted.
