Beauty Boston did an amazing job with hair services! With a last minute cancellation of a previous vendor, they recommended Beauty Boston. Not only did they graciously accept last minute, they were able to coordinate services for myself and 12 others. Jess and Samie did a wonderful job! They were professional, kind, compassionate, and efficient. We were almost an hour ahead of schedule. Could not recommend them more! -

Book them! You won’t regret it!
I got married on 10/18/2025 and hired Beauty Boston for hair and makeup. I found Beauty Boston on The Knot and was drawn in by the volume of positive reviews for the company. I utilized the online inquiry form to reach out, and Marissa responded right away with pricing information and availability. I appreciated that I was able to do a trial before committing to booking anything and loved that the company offered both makeup and hair options. I was assigned Andi as a make up artist and Jordan as a hair stylist. I had my trial with Andi, and she did a fantastic job. She listened to what I truly wanted and was very adaptable when I requested small tweaks. She kept track of all the products she used and all of my requests really well because she replicated the look perfectly 9 months later on my wedding day. While I had a lifelong friend do my own hair for my wedding, Jordan did hair for my 4 bridesmaids, my mother, and my mother-in-law. All of their styles came out beautiful and lasted the whole night (my sister even wore her look to brunch the next day and it still looked amazing)! During the planning process, Marissa was extremely helpful in coordinating timelines and pricing. I loved that the artists were able to come on site to the hotel where we got ready and they even brought their own chairs for us to use. On the wedding day, both Andi and Jordan were extremely punctual and kind. They really both did a fantastic job and kept us on schedule. We even had time at the end for two bridesmaids who had not requested make up to get lashes put on for a small fee at the last second. I truly could not have picked a better company for my wedding beauty and am so grateful to Andi and Jordan for making me and my bridal party look so good on my big day! -

We had Katie do our makeup and Jackie do our hair for the bridal party, mother of the bride, and mother-in-law of the bride. It was PERFECT. They were on time, professional, and could deliver on exactly what everyone wanted. I was especially impressed with how amazing they were with my mother and mother-in-law, who were both reluctant to get their makeup done... but they left feeling so beautiful. All of us felt that our natural beauty really shone through, and they really brought out our best features. Also, the fact that before laying my head on my pillow at the end of the night, my hair AND makeup looked the exact same as it did in the morning!!! What kind of wizardry is that?? They have forever raised my bar for professional hair and makeup services. -

I had Marissa for hair and Francesca for makeup for my wedding, and they both did an absolutely amazing job! My hair stayed perfectly in place all night, and my makeup looked flawless from start to finish. Beyond being incredibly talented, they were also so fun and easy to be around it made getting ready such a great experience. I couldn’t have asked for a better team! Highly recommend them to any bride! -

I had hair and make up artists from Beauty Boston for my recent wedding and they did it disappoint! My trial hair and makeup went perfectly. I had asked to make some changes and they were happy to do so! The day of my wedding both stylists showed up on time, with big smiles ready to start the day. I had myself, 3 brides maids and 2 flower girls.. Tiffany & Lisa made everyone look and feel their best.. I truly can’t thank them enough! I will forever recommend Beauty Boston! -

Samie was amazing! The makeup and hair was beautiful for everyone and it lasted all day without any issues. More than that, she made the process fun. She was so kind and great at keeping a conversation going. I'm kinda shy and so can get nervous around strangers and being the center of attention, but she made it easy to keep calm and have fun while getting ready on my wedding day. To my mind, having that great personality is just as important as talent at hair/makeup, and she was fantastic at all of it. -

Marissa was the ultimate professional. She worked efficiently and fully understood the looks we wanted to pull off and was able to quickly come up with a plan. I got married on 9/23/23 in Salem, MA and Andi (makeup), Samie (hair and makeup), and Jess (hair) were the perfect beauty team!! They all made me, and my girls feel so beautiful! Everyone arrived on time, stuck with the schedule, and worked quickly. They made it such a fun morning getting ready. I had Samie stay after to do touch-ups and it was so worth it. I cannot rave enough about the company and these three in particular! -

Hair and Makeup/ Glam EXPERTS
Katie and Mia (and the rest of Boston Beauty Network) were a pleasure to work with! They came highly recommended by my friends who have used them and they now have another very happy bride (and bridal party!). My initial call with Katie was a little over a year before the wedding. Katie instantly put me at ease and I was confident that their team was who we’d want to work with on our wedding day. They were so kind, friendly and made my girlfriends feel like the a million bucks. Katie and Mia were able to come up with a schedule to get 14 (yes 14!) people ready by 1:30pm which was beyond impressive. They took their time to work on each individual as if they were the only person in the room. The hair stylist or makeup artist asked each girl what look they were going for (pictures always help) and were able to DELIVER! They made each girl feel like the best version of themself. I truly never felt better and it’s all due to Katie and Mia. Thank you again for being beautiful (inside and out) individuals. I feel so fortunate to have worked with them. -

I absolutely loved working with this group for my hair and makeup! We had 15 services to be completed before an early church ceremony and our artists worked so carefully and efficiently. They really made the morning so effortless. All the artists were kind and friendly which made for such a great bridal suite experience. Someone wanted to add an additional makeup service last minute and they had no problem working her into the schedule. I changed my mind about what I wanted after my trial and my hair and makeup artists were so happy to accommodate this and make sure I looked exactly as I wanted. I’d absolutely recommend working with them. -

Mary Kate and her team were incredible! They were on time, efficient and were ahead of schedule when completing hair and makeup for my entire bridal party. I was so impressed by their professionalism and quality of work. My hair and makeup didn’t move at all! Throughout the day (crying during first looks and ceremony) and night ( jumping up and down dancing!). I have heavy hair and that I must say is a challenge for most artists. Highly recommend Boston Beauty and certainly recommend Mary Kate for a hair/makeup stylist. She is fun, creative and is able to take feedback in real time. Thank you MK for making me a beautiful bride!
They were a little more expensive based on my research but WELL worth it. They travelled to my hotel, brought lights and the set up necessary for a successful hair and make up session. -

My bridesmaids, mothers of the bride and groom, and Nana had an amazing experience working with Beauty Boston for hair and make up for my 9/12/21 wedding! We worked with Jacki to coordinate our artists and scheduling for the day, and had Maryanne for make up and Tiffany for hair. They both did an amazing job, spent time and effort on each person, and took into account what each person wanted as well as my overall vision for everyone's look as the bride.
The artists were professional, on time, and stayed on schedule. They made getting ready a truly fun and memorable experience. Maryanne and Tiffany did touch ups before we left for photos and gave us a lip color to hold onto. The artists also offer trials a few months ahead of the wedding day, which myself and my mom took advantage of - it gave us a great idea of what to expect on the day of the wedding.
I can't recommend Beauty Boston enough! -

I loved working Special Event Beauty from start to finish for my wedding. Working with Jacki on the backend, she was super responsive, very organized, and had an upbeat attitude. I actually had a trial with a different salon first and was very unhappy and had the complete opposite experience with Special Event Beauty. The team we had of makeup artists and hair stylists was top notch. Rene did both my bridal hair and makeup and I've never felt more beautiful. Even better, with wind and happy tears throughout the course of the day, even by the end, both still looked flawless. Noel, Jessica, and Maryanne rounded out the team and they somehow made my gorgeous bridesmaids more gorgeous. My mom and mother-in-law also had their makeup done (their first time ever) and they looked and felt so beautiful. The team was timely, pleasant, and stayed on schedule. Getting ready with Rene, Noel, Jessica, and Maryanne was one of the best parts of the day. I HIGHLY recommend you hire them for your wedding. I am so happy I did! -

Jacki was super responsive for everything - trial for engagement shoot, second trial for bridal hair, and getting the schedule for the wedding day. Andi and Tiffany were both so nice and SO accommodating of our group. Everyone got slightly different hair and make-up that was tailored exactly to their needs and preferences. Andi and Tiffany also had extensive notes and pictures on my preferences from my trials, so I knew everything would come out out flawlessly on the big day. And to top it all off - the price point couldn't be beat. I am thrilled we hired Beauty Boston and I'd recommend them again. -

We were one of the many couples who had to postpone their wedding due to COVID, and Special Event Beauty made the process so easy. I had my 2nd hair/make-up trial with Lisa a few months before the wedding and was so happy she was able to do my hair/make-up for the actual wedding day as well, she was so amazing and fun to work with! All the ladies who helped out that day were fantastic and so efficient. Getting a total of 9 ladies' hair/make-up done, including the bride, is quite the feat but they made it look like a breeze! Highly recommend them for any hair and make-up needs - one of my bridesmaids already booked them for her wedding day next year! -

Felt so beautiful on my wedding day
I hired Special Event Beauty after getting my make-up done twice by Kim as a bridesmaid. Jacki was incredible to work with via email and was so responsive and willing to help with all the changes I threw her way (postponed wedding, date change, venue change, adding girls to get make-up done, etc.). In the end, we had 12 girls including myself get their of make-up done and Kim and Marissa went above and beyond! Everyone loved their make-up so much and we were finished on time, if not early! I can't say enough great things about Jacki, Amy, and Marissa at Beauty Boston/Special Event Beauty. All of the hair and makeup for the wedding was 100% perfect. As a bride who never wears any makeup but wanted that little extra glow for my wedding, Marissa completely delivered the natural look I wanted. Amy also nailed the glam updo I was looking for and gave my hair a level of volume it has never before experienced! My bridesmaids and the moms were also extremely happy with their hair and makeup. Special Event Beauty was amazing! Jacki was always so quick and helpful with scheduling and answering my questions, and my hairstylist/makeup artist Lisa was so kind and helpful. The company was extremely easy to work with from booking, to contracting and finalizing the day of details there was always quick correspondence. Starting at the trial, Marissa really took my ideas into consideration while asking me how I typically style myself. She was very open to changes after completing the look to nail down exactly what I was envisioning. I found Special Event Beauty on the website Wedding Wire. I trusted Wedding Wire with a lot of my vendors for my wedding. I had been in communication with a few different make up and hair artists and I knew I wanted air brush make up specifically. I was really happy with the conversations I had back-and-forth with Jacki who manages the accounts. She always responded right away with all the information I requested. Their prices are reasonable and their team is excellent. I was able to schedule a hair and make up trial in Braintree about a month and a half prior to my wedding. I was so happy with my results. My make up and hair artist was Noelle. She is absolutely incredible. Jacki gave me Noelle because she said she specializes in braids and I knew I wanted my bridesmaids and I to have braids in our hair on the day. Very bohemian look. She did such an incredible job, please see photos for reference. If you are a bride seeking hair and make up I would definitely recommend this service and highly recommend Noelle! Also the rest of the team who styled my bridesmaids and mothers of the bride and groom. Monet and Cori! You were all incredible. Thank you for making my special day so special! -

Special Events Beauty and Kerry my stylist in particular were amazing. Everything with the service ran smoothly and efficiently. The test trial was in a lovely small salon space and Kerry walked me through my options and talked about what I wanted for my look. The day of Kerry was right on time and worked calmly and quickly. She had my hair and makeup done within exactly the amount of time they had told me it would be. She took the time to place in my veil and show my friends how it could be taken out without disrupting the rest of my hairstyle. The experience was fun and I absolutely loved the way my hair and makeup turned out. Kerry was able to capture the romance that I wanted and still let my natural features shine through. I would highly recommend Kerry and her team for any special event in the Boston/New England area. -

Absolutely phenomenal
Maryanne and Amy were absolutely phenomenal to work with. I contacted them just 6 weeks before my wedding after my original hair and makeup fell through. They were so willing to work with me and understand my vision. They setup a trial right away and walked through everything I wanted with them. They were right on time the day of and got through 8 hair and makeups within the time frame and even had time to help with my two 9 year old nieces. My hair stayed in ALL NIGHT LONG (which is rare and my hair doesn't hold a curl that well) and we all had to scrub our faces at the end of the night to get the makeup off. h my gosh, I do not know where to begin with thanking you guys. Kim, Rachel and Noel are the epitome of a talented, classy and wonderful team of hair and makeup artists. I have never felt more beautiful in my life-Kim completely listened to my vision and exceeded my expectations. Rachel gave me my dream updo, I can’t tell you the compliments that I received. All of my bridemaids raved about the beautiful job that Kim, Rachel has Noel did. My mom, who pins herself as a “plain Jane”, never wears makeup and has worn her hair the same way for 20+ years, she’s SO beautiful but Noel you made her feel like a queen. Noel listened to her and worked with her to give her the perfect blow out and updo. She was so nervous about not looking like herself-but you really accentuated her beauty.
You are all so kind, so professional, SO talented.

I did a lot of research on hair & makeup before booking Special Event Beauty for my wedding this past July. They were so quick to respond and provide me with information, and so helpful with options for me, my 8 bridesmaids, and my mom. Booking my hair and makeup trial was super easy and as soon as I saw the finished product I was like YUP. I felt like a bride. They also have special Sunday rates which made it more affordable too! It was a no-brainer. On the day of my wedding, Rachel and Lisa were able to come on-site (to Newport, RI) and do all of our hair and makeup in the bridal suite. We were provided with a timeline beforehand, which was super helpful and they arrived right on time. Rachel and Lisa were able to get everyone finished well beforehand, and even had extra time for touch ups for everyone. Everything was perfect. I could not have picked a better team to help out on my big day. My bridesmaids loved them so much that one of them just booked Special Event Beauty for her wedding in 2020. Artists that will make you feel comfortable on your wedding day
Special Event Beauty (or Beauty Boston) worked hard to make myself and my bridal party feel absolutely gorgeous! From the initial trial to rehearsal dinner hair/makeup to my wedding day, their communication, promptness, positivity, and TALENT was everything I could have hoped for.
Kim, Amy and Lisa styled myself, 5 bridesmaids, 2 mothers and 2 readers. Our wedding was at Boston Harbor Hotel, and they arrived early so that everything was set-up and ready to go before the first appointment. They actually ran ahead of schedule, leaving ample time for touch-ups before photos. What I appreciated most was how they worked with each person to make sure she felt comfortable. Examples: 1. I was uncertain of my look after my first trial, and Kim suggested I come in for a second trial with my wedding dress. This really helped me visualize how I would look on the wedding day, and they even helped me put on my dress. 2. My mother-in-law has medical issues with her hair, and Amy happily spoke with her prior to the wedding day to make sure she understood how best to style her thinning hair. 3. They spent extra time on hair/makeup for my MOH to give her a little extra oomf. 4. One of my bridesmaids has an ombre, and they adapted her up-do to really make the highlights stand out. Everyone was so pleased with how they looked and, most importantly, our hair/makeup LASTED all night. I even wore my false lashes to brunch the next morning!
In every aspect of the process, Kim and her team went above and beyond. They are a wonderful group of ladies and I can’t wait to use the company for another event!

Hiring Special Event Beauty for my wedding in June was one of the best decisions I made for the wedding. Both Amy and Andi listened to my vision and nailed it! Andi saved my life after I was in a panic the morning of thinking my eye allergies would ruin my makeup. Amy was able to get everyone's unique look right, and I was especially thankful that the more particular people in my wedding party were happy with their hair. My makeup didn't smudge and my hair stayed in place late into the evening when I was dancing like Animal from the Muppets! Amy and Andi were kind, professional, and very well-equipped to handle anything we threw at them. -

The Special Event Beauty team provided excellent service since my initial outreach and throughout the planning process. Rachel (hair), Tiffany (hair) and Lisa (makeup), created a calm environment in the bridal suite on the day of the wedding and managed to keep our large group on time and dare I say, ahead of schedule! (1 bride, 8 bridesmaids, 1 flower girl and 2 moms). The group of ladies all looked stunning and the Rachel, Tiffany and Lisa enhanced everyone's natural beauty!
In my initial inquiry I mentioned that I have naturally curly hair as do several of my bridesmaids and mother, so it was important we worked with a stylist that new how to work with natural curls. Rachel styled our curls perfectly and they all held in place throughout the evening.
During my trial I was convinced to book their services when they told me that they want everyone to leave the room loving their look and they would be willing to make any changes if anyone was not pleased with any detail. On the day of, everyone was so pleased with their look and the stylists left enough time for touch ups to ensure everyone's styles were in tact for photos and throughout the evening.
I had gone for my trial in advance of attending another wedding and I also appreciated how they changed my hair style, so I did not show up to my friends wedding in my bridal hair style.
I could not recommend Special Event Beauty enough for hair/makeup services. This team knows exactly how to manage a large bridal party and accentuate and highlight natural beauty. -

I had the pleasure working with Beauty Boston/Special Event Beauty for my Wedding last December. During my consultation Jackie and Tiffany took the time to really listen to my vision and made sure I was happy with the final product . The day of my wedding they arrived early to set up. They we’re both professional, flexible and so much fun to work with. Tiffany and Jackie did such a wonderful job on myself and my bridesmaids. I would highly recommend using their services for your big day. -

I did a very last minute hair and makeup trial with Maryanne and Rachel a month before my wedding, and they were so wonderful about it. I’d originally planned to go with another company, but my trial with them was absolutely terrible and I needed to find someone else, fast. I’d been recommended to call Special Event Beauty, and they got me in the very next afternoon on a Sunday for my trial. I know the ladies had to rush around to make it work, and I can’t them them enough for that!
Maryanne and Rachel came to The Groton Inn to do the hair and makeup of myself (the bride), my bridesmaids, my mother and soon to be mother-in-law. They showed up promptly, and even worked quickly with the inn to get a few taller chairs in our room to make their jobs easier. Everyone had a wonderful time with both of them, chatting and sharing a lot of laughs. It was the first time a few of them had ever had their hair and makeup done by someone else, and they put them at ease. Everyone loved the end results (including myself, after a bunch of little changes the day of - which they were both so wonderful about and didn’t make me feel badly for being so indecisive in the moment) and I loved working with them both - I hope that I get to do it again sometime in the future - you know, for someone else’s wedding ;) -

I don't have enough great things to say about Special Event Beauty. Rachel did my hair and makeup and Lisa helped with my bridesmaids. I feel like Rachel and I are connected for life. We did two trials because I ended up having a portrait session before the wedding. I completely changed my look from the first to second trial and she was totally amenable and so helpful!
These girls worked FAST. I had 12 bridesmaids (you read that right). One of my maids is a hairdresser and did some hair but even with all that, they got us done basically ahead of schedule. Also, they had Tylenol and other little things when some of us needed it.
They were not only amazing at their work and efficient, they were so friendly and sweet. It's so important to be surrounded by people who make you feel comfortable on that day and I'm so glad we had those two girls.
You won't regret hiring them! -

I'm an older bride and had 3 makeup trials that were horrible before someone recommended Special Events Beauty. From the moment I meant Maryann who did my trial I knew I was in capable hands. She was a pleasure to work with and I'm was so thrilled with the way she did my makeup for my wedding day. All of my attendants looked gorgeous and so did my mother-in-law. Maryann was very flexible and listened to how we wanted our makeup done and had no problem changing things around. As an added bonus she has a wonderful personality and had such calming energy, which I needed on my wedding day. Thank you again and I would definitely recommend Special Events Beauty! -

Special event beauty was amazing in providing me a fabulous makeup artist. I planned my wedding within 2 months, so I couldn't find any makeup artists because they were all booked. Special event beauty was very accommodating and quick in their response. Noel did my makeup and hair exactly as I wanted. She did a great job with my bridesmaid and my mom as well. You won't be disappointed. -

The women of Special Event Beauty did an above and beyond phenomenal job on the hair and makeup for my wedding. Kim and Amy were the lead artists and made every single woman ranging in age from 25 to 83 look like a radiant version of themselves. It was very important to me that I as the bride looked "naturally beautiful" and Kim and Amy did exactly that. I could not possibly be more happy with how I looked on my wedding day. Aside from being exceptionally talented artists, they also were so fun to be with while we were getting ready and carried themselves with utmost professionalism. I cannot recommend them more highly! -

Hair for Wedding - Review
Justine from Special Event Beauty came into Boston to do the hair for my wedding! She got to the bridal suite at 7am and did my hair, my 5 bridesmaids, my mother, and my mother-in-law's hair. She did an amazing job and finished ahead of schedule. Everyone loved their hair! Justine was also just very nice to talk to! -

Molly Sent on 10/12/2018I was so honored to have Amy from Special Event Beauty do my hair for my wedding. She also did my mom and stepmom's, and helped put pins in my bridesmaids hair. She was there bright and early, smiling face, ready to go! She took a lot of time on my trial which I really appreciated, and was able to get perfection on the day of my wedding. My biggest surprise was the way she transformed my mom's thick, super duper curly hair into beautiful soft waves just like my mom pictured!! That in itself was a miracle!! I would recommend her to anyone!

I had a trial a few months before and they were great with making sure it was exactly what I was going for - and they got it right after I showed them just a few Pinterest photos. Such a talented pair. And on the day-of, Jacki and Amy were on-time and ready to rock-and-roll (after driving from Boston to Kennebunkport bright and early)! My hair and make-up turned out perfectly and stayed in place all night! And there was a lot of dancing :-) The bridal party also loved how their hair and make-up turned out and held up - everyone looked stunning! It was such a perfect morning with these really sweet and fun ladies - I would recommend them to anyone who wants perfect hair and make-up and a stress-free team to start your big day off on the best note possible!
