Personable and professional

Kellen (DJ Special K) and Marken (DJ Sosa) instantly made us feel like it was their wedding too! From the first meeting to the end of our special day they were there any time we needed anything at all. They provided us with extra uplighting at no additional cost as the venue was bigger than we anticipated and they wanted to keep the whole room flowing. They kept the music flowing all night and knew exactly what to play for our wide variety of guests. I couldn't recommend them more for your special day! They say the only thing your guests remember on your wedding are the food and the music. Don't skimp on either. These gentlemen do it right! You won't be disappointed!

Phenomenal!

Can’t say enough about Kellen and Marken. They kept the music going, choosing the perfect playlist for every aspect of our wedding with just the right amount of DJ interaction and true professionalism. They even captured some excellent pictures, giving us a chance to see a glimpse Into what the photographer had in store. Seriously, look no further. This is your DJ!

Dan McGinty was the DJ for our wedding and we couldn't be more happy with him. Both he and the company owner were very communicative throughout the whole process. Every time we reached out to them they responded within a day at most. He also worked well with our other vendors such as the venue and the guitarist for the ceremony. My wife and I have very different taste in music but Dan was able to put together a playlist that worked great for both of us. He did a great job of finding music that was fun for people of all ages to dance to. Our dance floor was packed from the second we finished our first dance to when the reception ended. Dan listened to exactly what we wanted and only gave the announcements we asked him to make (announcing toasts) and otherwise just focused on playing an awesome mix of music. Highly recommended.

Beat 2 Beat DJ's helped make our wedding reception the best dance party ever! Chris is an absolutely amazing DJ who kept everyone on the dance floor the whole time. Chris was fantastic to work with, getting right back to us with any questions we had right away. He was full of great ideas and helped us plan out an amazing reception. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Beat2Beat was just such a great experience and our DJ, Chris Riddle, was outstanding. We've seen him at 2 prior weddings and he was the first vendor we booked 2 years in advance just to make sure we got him specifically. He kept everyone dancing all night, was able to edit our entrance song just the way we wanted it, and his announcing all night was spot on. Couldn't have done a better job. Highly, highly recommended.

Brian was amazing. Our daughter and her husband got married last weekend at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. We are so glad that we chose Beat 2 Beat. Brian was awesome. He was professional, kind and competent. He kept the party going from the very start. Played perfect ceremony music, cocktail hour and reception music. Our group danced the whole night and all we have heard were compliments and praise. Thank you Brian for doing awesome job!!!!!! Definitely recommend!!

Chris did an awesome job as our DJ! He was friendly and professional the entire planning process. He helped us organize the perfect reception and even mixed some songs for us! We had Dan McGinty as our DJ for our wedding and he was fantastic! We had a band perform for our ceremony and a few live songs at the reception and he worked effortlessly with them so the whole day ran smoothly. He played all of our must-play songs and all the others fell in line perfectly with those. Highly recommended!

Brian Robey (DJ Absolut) was absolutely wonderful. The guests at my wedding never left the dance floor (including my 80 year old great aunt!). He listened to our requests and tailored the music from there. Brian was so easy to work with through out the planning process as well. My wedding reception was a huge success largely because of Brian! I would definitely call Brian again for any event I was planning.

We had Brian Robey (DJ Absolut) for our wedding at the Lord Baltimore Hotel. From the time that we first met him in his office we knew we went with the right company. Brian helped answer all of the questions that we had and responded to every e-mail we sent incredibly quickly. The day of our wedding he was completely on top of everything and helped direct the night to make sure things ran smoothly. We provided him a selection of songs and he was able to keep everyone on the dance floor until our time at the venue was up. Brian couldn't have made us feel anymore comfortable with not only his DJing ability but his ability to be on top of all of the nights details. I strongly recommend Brian and Beat2Beat.

Beat2Beat provided everything we hoped for (and even more than we knew we wanted) for our wedding ceremony and reception! We contacted Beat2Beat on a recommendation from a friend and were impressed from the initial contact where Chris explained Beat2Beat always has potential clients meet with the actual DJ that will work our event. We had the great fortune of being matched with Brian (DJ Absolut). As soon as we met Brian, we knew he would be our DJ. His intention was clearly to be the best DJ for us and not to DJ a party where he would be the center of the event. He was eager to learn about what we wanted at our wedding. Needless to say, we hired Brian that evening!

Since we planned our own wedding in addition to the outline Beat2Beat had us complete (timing, wedding party names, songs to be played and not played, etc), we provided Brian with a Word document that included the wedding ceremony and reception timeline. We loved how willing he was to use the document as a guide. Brian was simply great. From the ceremony for which he provided microphones and music to announcing the bridal party, to spinning the jams and keeping the vibe perfect he could not have been better! He kept the evening moving along even better than we had suggested in the timeline. He was calm and in full control and truly seemed to love making our event memorable and fun. It never felt like we were just a gig but more like we had a good friend who truly cared about our event.

We really can’t say enough good things about Brian and Beat2Beat. They were an integral part to making our wedding an amazing day. Since the wedding, many guests have commented on how awesome our DJ was. We’ve already recommended Beat2Beat to several friends and will continue to do so with absolutely no hesitation. Thank you so very much for loving what you do and helping make the best day of our lives perfect!

We were absolutely thrilled with the services that Dan provided. He knew exactly what music to play when, and he ran the event perfectly. The DJ runs the whole show with announcing all of the events and keeping the music going, and he did a wonderful job. We got so many compliments on how great the DJ was. He worked with us to ensure he played the music we liked, and that if people requested a song he didn't think we would like, he didn't play it, or he checked with us. He was perfect and gave us everything we wanted in a DJ. I highly recommend beat 2 beat!

I can't say enough how happy we were with our DJ experience with Beat 2 Beat. After the recommendation from several friends we set up an appointment and met with Dan McGinty aka DJ5 who we ended up choosing to DJ our June 6 wedding at the Mt. Washington Mill Dye House in Baltimore. From start to finish these guys were so easy to deal with. Every email was responded to within hours, the price was very affordable especially considering the quality of service, and we felt like our whole DJ set up was 100% customizable. We met with a couple other DJs in the area to do our due diligence and not only were they more expensive but they aggressively pushed all kinds of products and services on us that we didn't need or want. That couldn't be more different than Beat 2 Beat - Dan listened to what we wanted and didn't try to push one more thing on us, which when you feel like you're being price gouged on everything else wedding related is a huge relief. He worked out how to get us a custom first dance song, which he had to put in extra effort to do and even sent us a digital copy that we could keep. We gave him a list of about 20 songs which he played during the wedding and used it to get an idea of other songs that would suit our style. He knew when to play each one and everything flowed perfectly. We don't have a single complaint about anything that was played during the wedding and our guests were up and dancing the whole night. Of course everyone thinks their own wedding is the best but so many guests told us it was one of the funnest weddings ever and the DJ is a huge part of that. Dan was a great DJ and also a super nice, cool guy so definitely book with these guys!

We worked with Dan on our wedding and had a fantastic experience! They met with us to give us an idea of what they can do, showed up on time, and never gave us any reason to worry about the quality of their service, which is really nice when you have a hundred things to worry about! Dan also read the crowd really well at the wedding and made sure to play things that people wanted to dance to.

DJabsolut (Brian Robey) provided DJ services at our wedding reception at Leesburg, VA. We could not have asked for better. Everyone in attendance raved about how great the music was, particularly during dinner. The selection was great and was appropriate for all the generations represented at our wedding. The best part was that the volume was perfect. How many times have you been to a wedding where you couldn't even hear yourself think during dinner...not so with Brian. When the dancing began, he kept everyone on the floor with his excellent song selection. I can't say enough about the fact that there was no cheesiness whatsoever during the entire night, which is what was promised when we had our consultation. Beat2Beat DJs made the planning process so easy. I was pretty laid back with my wedding planning and wanted to let the professionals handle the jobs I was paying them for. Beat2Beat DJs was perfect in this respect. I didn't provide much direction besides the basics of the flow of the night, and they delivered beyond my expectations. If you are in the market for a DJ that will deliver high quality and professionalism, look no further than Beat2Beat DJs.

My husband and I loved working with Beat 2 Beat DJs! From the first meeting to the day of the wedding, everything went smoothly and just as we planned. Jon was amazing, the songs were perfect, everyone danced all night long, and all of my friends and family said it was the best wedding ever. Ed (DJ Tribal Z) was our DJ. He did a phenomenal job with the mix he put together. Everyone at our wedding was dancing the whole night. He was very responsive to when we needed to make a couple on-the-fly changes and was very professional and thorough.

Chris was great to work with from the business side of things.

Take a nice relaxing breath, pat yourself on the back, and check one more thing off your list because your DJ search is officially over. Beat 2 Beat DJ's just did our wedding and looking back on the entire process, I cannot imagine another company being more professional, fun, and perfect for our wedding. From the very beginning with our consultation to the end Beat 2 Beat did absolutely everything we could of asked for. Our DJ was Brian (DJ Absolut). Both Brian and the owner, Chris, were very responsive from the start. Any question we had or changes we needed to make they were on top of everything, and we never had to wait more than a few hours before we received a response. Their great interactive website and song lists make those tough decisions very easy. We were not the "pick every song" type of bride and groom and basically gave Brian a few themes and told him to run with it, which turned out to be one of the best decisions we made in the entire planning process. All the music was perfect and couldn't have been better if we selected every song for 5 hours. The flow was great and once open dancing started he had everyone of all ages dancing with a great mix of music. He has a great presence on the mic to get everyone excited and ready to celebrate but is very classy at the same time. Nothing is worse than having a DJ that tries to get too involved so don't worry about that. He was there very early to set up and made sure everything was taken care of and ready to roll. I guarantee that if you go with Beat 2 Beat you will have the best of the best, from the professionalism and setup all the way to the partying! And trust me, you can't put a price on having stress free wedding vendors.

Oh and don't forget their uplighting it is awesome and will really help transform your venue!

We are so glad we went with Beat 2 Beat DJs for our DJ at the wedding. I planned my entire wedding from a different state, but they were extremely flexible and professional when conversing via phone or email. I had a phone conversation with one of the DJs when I first began the contract process and all of my questions/concerns were immediately addressed. Then I began receiving emails from our actual DJ, "DJ Absolut"/Brian...he is the BEST!! We talked several times over the phone about my concerns having a younger and older crowd etc. Also, it was important to us both to have low music playing during dinner and then get the party started again for open dancing. Needless to say, the entire reception was flawless thanks to our incredible DJ! The evening went very smoothly and Brian did a great job of letting both us and the guests know what is coming up next to avoid guests missing cake, first dance, etc. It was amazing!! We were very impressed with how smoothly introductions went all the way until the very last dance. Brian was VERY flexible both during the planning process and the day-of.

The cost was definitely affordable and worth every penny! We want to have another party just to have Brian be our DJ again! Beat 2 Beat provides a list of songs to highlight/cross out based on whether or not you would like them played at your wedding. My husband and I had a fun time going through the list and listening to the songs as we went. We also did a "song request" on our wedding website and added those songs to the list...our guests were thrilled when they heard their song play at the reception! We highly recommend Beat 2 Beat and we may be biased, but DJ Absolut/Brian is amazing!

Chris was super responsive to all of my questions from the very beginning! Dan was the dj for my wedding and he was AMAZING! He did my ceremony and reception and the whole event was perfect. My ceremony was timed exactly as I had requested. He took the time to arrive early, coordinate with the event staff, photographers, etc to make sure my time line was working well for everyone. He gave me and my husband multiple "heads up" to check that we still wanted to do the wedding events (bouquet, etc) at the times we noted and made sure to ask if everything was going how we wanted it to. I had never seen my husband dance for more than 30 seconds at a time.. And he was on the floor all night! My dad, who didn't even dance at his own wedding even got on the dance floor. I knew from the moment I booked beat2beat that this would be a stress free vendor.. And I was right. Dan and Chris took care of everything. I cannot reccommend them more!

Look no further than Beat 2 Beat for your DJ needs!! Chris (DJ Vega) is the epitome of a perfect DJ: he is so professional, yet knows how to get people raging on the dance floor. He's not only an awesome mixer, but just all around a great emcee as well. Throughout the planning process, Chris was so responsive and helpful and offered good input for music selections. The dance floor at my wedding was packed and there was never a lull in the music! Beat 2 Beat DJs were simply incredibly! We had DJ Dan for our wedding and we are SO lucky! We didn't want to spend much time dictating the playlist for the wedding so we requested only about four or five songs and left the rest up to him. DJ Dan was AWESOME! He kept everyone on the dance floor for the whole night and all of our guests complimented us on our DJ saying he kept playing "hit after hit". For our wedding we wanted to be involved but mainly wanted to hire good professionals to take care of a lot of the details. We were truly able to enjoy our wedding without having to stress! DJ Dan was also a complete professional. He made sure to always ask how things were going and if we were happy. I loved that he didn't use props, tell jokes, etc. He was simply there to play good music! We are SO happy we chose Beat 2 Beat and are SO lucky we had DJ Dan!!

My husband and I worked with DJ Absolut/ Brian Robey for our April wedding. As our reception host and DJ, he was incredible! Brian was one of the first vendors that we booked after getting engaged. We had attended two previous weddings that Brian DJ'd so we knew that we wanted to work with him for our own wedding. Like many bride and grooms, we had a lot of questions and put a lot of thought into the planning of our reception. Brian was very professional and responsive in answering all of our questions and put any worries that we had at ease. In fact, we really did not worry about the music at all--we knew that we were in good hands and Brian did not disappoint. We also loved the LED DJ booth that we rented from Beat2Beat. Ed Zaruba was our DJ and he did a fantastic job!! During one of our meetings with Ed, we discovered that we didn't like a lot of the "typical wedding" types of songs (ie Motown, disco), so my husband and I put together a list of several specific songs that we wanted to hear throughout dinner and the reception, and Ed did a great job playing what we had requested and mixing in similar songs throughout the night. There was never a dull moment on the dance floor! Thanks Ed!!

Dan was the DJ at our June wedding and he was awesome. He totally got the type of music we liked, and once he got going, no one left the dance floor. The best part of the whole wedding was everyone dancing together. I was actually sad to leave to take photos at sunset because I had to stop dancing. He was also a really nice and helpful guy. Brian Robey, with Beat 2 Beat DJs, was absolutely INCREDIBLE and DJed the best party of my life at our wedding reception. Brian's song selection at every stage of the evening was FLAWLESS and on point. At any given time throughout the reception we had guests of all ages on the dance floor. We just received our wedding photos and we have some amazing pictures to prove it! In addition to picking the perfect music, Brian beat mixes all of his songs together so there is never a break or awkward silence during the party. Brian completely won me over when my mom and mother-in-law met with him in the Beat 2 Beat studio and listened to him beat mix several songs together. If you are a bride in the area looking for a DJ, I highly recommend setting up a time to stop by the Beat 2 Beat studio. They will win you over, I promise! Lastly, I have to thank Brian for his professionalism. We had a very formal reception at the Naval Academy Officer's Club and it meant the world to me that Brian was dressed in suit and tie. He is so polished and charismatic and that was the icing on the cake to having a very talented DJ. Brian worked closely with my photographer and wedding planner to ensure a seamless evening. Beat 2 Beat goes above and beyond for their bride and grooms and I highly recommend them for a fun and professional experience!

The only DJs in the area that can beat-mix. Truly. I have many friends that are DJs. We both have a love for music and and we know what we like. Responsiveness was pretty fast. Immediate. Never a worry about anything with these guys. Chris was very accommodating. Our DJ from this firm was Dan, a.k.a. DJ 5. Talented. Professional. Our guests were floored when they realized there was no getting off the dance floor. Once the music started, the party never stopped. Songs just going into more songs, streamlessly. His mixing skills were elite and we have a lot of respect for him. One of our guests even booked him right on the spot for their wedding. Our ceremony had multiple musical pieces that needed to be faded/mixed and timed accordingly. It was pretty much choreographed. From the beginning, to the processional, and the recessional, it was extremely important to us that all be exactly on queue. Because of Dan, it was. It went off without a hitch. His attentiveness to the details were right on point with us. Just the fact that it was important to him that he pronounced everyone's name said something to us, as well. Guests were approaching us left and right with compliments. We did not allow any typical song you would normally hear at a wedding. You know the ones. So, actually his job was a little bit harder. Dan came through. Period. We highly recommend Beat 2 Beat. I will most certainly be using them in the future and I have yet to stop telling everybody about them.

We worked with Dan (our DJ) and Chris (the owner) at Beat 2 Beat. They were great to work with and Dan did a great job with our ceremony and reception music. Beat 2 Beat was very responsive to any questions/needs that we had. Dan did a great job to keep our guests entertained with his music choices at our reception. We told him to use his own judgement as far as what songs to choose to keep the guests entertained, and he definitely delivered. Also, thank you Dan for being able to pronounce all the foreign names correctly!!

We had Chris DJ our wedding last month and he was phenomenal!! Our guests are still complimenting his work and how great the music was. We used Beat 2 Beat DJs for our wedding in October. From the very beginning Chris was extremely fast is responding to me and finding a date that worked for us to meet Brian, the DJ for the night of our wedding. During the entire wedding process Chris and Brian were great with getting back to me right away about any questions I had. About a week before the wedding we asked to add an additional 30 minutes to the contract. Chris adjusted everything with no problem right away.

The night of the wedding Brian was great! Brian Checked-in with us various times throughout the night and did a great job following our timeline. He knew my mom did not want the music too loud during dinner and made the extra effort to check with her to see if she was happy. When it came time to dancing Brian did a great job playing music that appealed to everyone. We received so many complements from guests about how great Brian was. The dance floor was always full and all of our guests had a great time.

We had so much fun with Brian and would highly recommend Beat to Beat DJs!

If you are getting married in the Baltimore area and you do NOT choose Beat2Beat, you are making a big mistake. Our DJ Dan was the perfect DJ. No corny crowd warmups or cheesy songs, no stupid jokes. He just played great music, read the crowd perfectly, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Every guest we talked to mentioned how great the DJ was at our wedding. He played all of the songs we requested, and kept everybody on the dance floor for the entire reception. He helped make our wedding day unforgettable.

My fiancé and I heard of Beat 2 Beat from our vendor’s preferred list, and upon meeting with Chris and Dan once we knew that we wanted them to DJ our wedding. During the meeting we felt that Dan understood what type of music we wanted and what kind of party we wanted for our reception. Both Chris and Dan were extremely responsive throughout the process as we had questions, and they were completely open to the song requests we had. They even created a custom song mix for me with no extra charge. The reception itself was perfect – everyone was on the dance floor all night and many of our guests said it was the most fun wedding they’d ever been to. If you want a DJ who is a good MC and knows how to make the guests have a great time, choose Beat 2 Beat. Did I mention that their pricing is extremely reasonable? That’s just an added pro. I first found Beat 2 Beat because a friend of mine "hates Djs but loves this one". Considering she is a wedding photographer and has been to plenty of weddings, I took her advice and I'm so glad I did.

My first meeting with Beat 2 Beats was great. I went to their office, talked directly to my DJ (Brian Robey/DJ Absolut), and even heard a sample of him play, which was great! They assured us that of the 6 DJs they use for weddings, only 3 are booked on any given night, to ensure a back up was available. My husband and I didn't even need to think about it. We booked them as soon as we got home.

Their set up process is easy - they give you an outline to complete which lists your songs, your attendants, and lets you tell them the timeline of the night. They provide you with "top songs" for every specific reception/ceremony song, as well as billboard charts for open dancing. It listed songs we never would have thought of. I even gave them some weird, never heard of songs, and Brian sent me these to preview and confirm that he had found the right songs for us (which of course, he did). I also gave him some weird guidelines for my "do not play" list to fit the little ears, but he had no problem finding great music regardless!

Brian/DJ Absolut brought all of the equipment we would need - for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. They even allow you to rent LED lights that you can customize to your colors, which really tempted me. I was surprised at how many people he was able to encourage to the dance floor through his song selection. I was truly scared no one would dance and I would say in total, probably about 90% of people danced at some point. Everyone keeps telling how great my DJ was and how they wish we could have danced longer. I wish I had more excuses to invite him to play, but instead I will recommend him to every friend who gets married, hoping I get a chance to attend another one of his weddings again.

This vendor was recommended to me by a friend, and I was so happy with the recommendation! From the moment we first contacted them to the last song they played, Beat 2 Beat was fun, professional and exactly what we wanted. Our DJ, Dan, worked with us to make our wedding exactly what we wanted. As they say, it is our wedding, not theirs, so they are there to be as involved as we wanted them to be. We couldn't be happier with Chris from Beat 2 Beat Djs. He was SO professional through out our entire planning process. He put up with my now husband and I changing our contract 2 or 3 times, and my dad's unique requests during the father daughter dance and toasts :).

Brian did an amazing job dj'ing our wedding on June 1st. We came to him semi-late in the game after having a family friend fall through and we immediately knew we made the right choice in coming to Beat 2 Beat. From the first meeting where he showed us his mixing skills to the many emails about songs to the day of playlist--everything was perfect! Brian was completely professional but also really fun! My main responsibilities as the groom at my wedding were to get to the wedding on time and to hire the DJ. I excelled at both! I arrived at my wedding a solid hour before I was suppose to and no one seemed to notice. Hmph! What everyone did notice was the presence of DJ Vega (He might still go by Chris). More specifically, everyone commented that DJ Vega was the best DJ that they have ever heard. Granted that half of the people who were at my wedding were family members at or above the age of 50, their prior exposure to DJs could not have been that extensive, and they are not aware who Wayne is, even if there is a little version of him. That being said, they were on the dance floor all night long. There is something magical about seeing your 70 something parents dancing the night away. Don't let the age of my parents fool you, my wife and I are in what people call the best part of our 20's, aka 30, and the rest of our wedding was made up of our friends. They too were dancing like it fools. I say fools since I don't know if that's really how they dance or if they were just having the best time of their lives. Either way, most of them came up to us to let us know, among other things, that DJ Vega is an amazing DJ.

I have never thrown a wedding before so I don't have too much to compare to but I could not imagine our wedding without DJ Vega. He was professional and most importantly a gentleman, which my wife keeps telling me are hard to find now-a-days. He has an amazing skill of blending and mixing songs so you don’t even know you are dancing to The Beibs until it’s too late. DJ Vega did a great job of being the central part of the night but not stealing the spotlight, meaning everyone noticed how great he was, but no one could tell you who he was as the focus was always on us.

So in summary, I win! for successfully choosing the best DJ.

If I could provide a higher rating, I most certainly would!! Beat 2 Beat DJs was an absolute pleasure to work with. Chris Riddle is extremely responsive and is in-tune to what you are looking for. He responded to my first voicemail that day and put me in touch with Brian Robey, who was available for our wedding. Brian IS EXCELLENT!!! Such a great person to work with. We initially spoke with him over the phone to meet him and see if it would be a good match- "good" did not do it justice! Brian has quite the experience with DJ'ing. We were able to meet with him in the studio. The set up and technology is great- not some cheezy DJ picking songs off of his ipod. We saw his ability to mix from "My Girl" to "Call Me Maybe" and not even realize we were still tapping our feet. Brian was so re-assuring and found the exact music we were looking for. He set the mood completely for our American Standards/Big Band cocktail hour, as well as dinner....and when the dancing started, he kept the party going!! He knew exactly what to play to keep everyone on the dance floor. It was such an amazing night, and I cannot sing enough praise for Brian. I highly recommend Beat 2 Beat if you want a wedding to remember!!

Dj5 did an AMAZING job deejaying our wedding! My husband and I were very pleased. From the beginning to the end of the reception, he had us partying and dancing all night long! He played the latest and hottest hip hop and r&b music and even threw in a couple of old school jamz!! My husband and I gave DJ 5 a list of songs that we liked and he took care of the rest. We used Beat 2 Beat DJs for both DJ services and we booked a lighting package. Chris was great to work with on the business end of things. He was fast in his responses and provided great customer service.

DJ - We had Jon B. as our DJ. He came highly recommended by a friend of mine. He was great! He provided music for the ceremony, cocktail/dinner hour and the dancing. It was just what we wanted! He gave us a great mix of genres that we had provided and everyone told me what a great time they had! Our dance floor was packed the entire night! And I had made sure that we had one big enough to hold 150+ people!

Lighting - Dan M. was our lighting guy. We had booked an uplighting package and wasn't really sure where I wanted the lights to go. We just let Dan do his job and gave him our color scheme. When they dimmed the lights in the Ballroom at Grey Rock Mansion the room really popped and looked amazing!

We had intereviewed multiple DJs and it was the most important vendor for us because we have a lot of friends who like to dance. Not only was Beat 2 Beat the right match for us, but they were reasonable too! If I had to do it all over again, I'd choose them in a heartbeat!

I just want to say that Beat2Beat and DJ 5 (Dan) are AMAZING. Our wedding was on 9/1/12 at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club and Dan was there early to set up. We had an entire room (the Garden Room) devoted to dancing and it was packed the entire night with people. I had so much fun that I wish I could keep them around for everything. I gave them some songs on a no-play list and a must-play list and left the rest to him and he really kept the party going all night long. He took requests from people and even came to us if he wasn't sure about a song. Our guests from out of town were mostly from MA and he played Sweet Caroline at the end of the night and I don't think they stopped talking about how epic it was for the rest of the weekend. He kept the dances to the perfect length, mixed the tracks super smoothly, and was honestly just such a great DJ.
They're super professional, so quick to respond, and you can tell they care about each of their clients! These guys aren't your typical wedding DJs -- they don't do all the cheesy stuff that you can't stand and that, for me, was awesome. Dan, thank you -- you killed it!

I cannot say enough good things about Beat 2 Beat DJs. We hired Dan McGinty (DJ5) for our June wedding in Baltimore. He was absolutely AMAZING! We gave Dan a handful of do-not-plays and handful must-plays, and the rest we left up to him (after providing a list of artists and the type of music we tend to like). He really nailed it - the music he chose to play was just perfect for every part of the evening. He's a pro at reading the crowd. At one point I got up from dinner and told him personally that he was doing a fantastic job - he made me so happy with the music he was playing. He really set the tone for the evening, and for that we are so grateful! It was all about the music (which was what we wanted) and when it was time for Dan to speak (wedding party introductions, for example) he nailed that too - major props to him for tackling some pretty hard-to-pronounce names - lol!

Of the DJ vendors we considered, Beat 2 Beat was by far the most responsive, professional, and thorough. Oh and the price was very reasonable too - added bonus! You will not go wrong with them. We are SO glad we chose them and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!!!!

Beat 2 Beat was so much more than I expected out of a DJ! I knew from the beginning that I didn't have to worry! I called Chris Riddle three months before the wedding and asked him to do the music for the ceremony too. He assured me it wasn't a problem and had all the equipment. I know it was my wedding, and I'm probably partial, but it was one of the best weddings I've been to in terms of the amount of people on the dance floor! Chris knew exactly what music to play, how to play to the crowd, and really kept the party going! Beat 2 Beat is top notch and I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a DJ. There isn't anything I wanted that I didn't receive.

I cannot say enough great things about Beat 2 Beat DJs!! Brain from Beat 2 Beat DJ'ed our wedding on June 30, 2012. My husband and I love to dance---so finding the right DJ was really important to us. We met with several DJs, but of all of them, Brian was the most attentive---and Beat 2 Beat was absolutely the best deal out there by far!

We decided to go with them and were not disappointed. We had very specific ideas about what we wanted to do for our introductions. We met with Brian twice to go over it all---he was really excited about our idea and willing to do whatever he needed (even practice beforehand!) to make it work. At the reception, he completely BLEW US AWAY! The introductions were perfect. People were up and dancing from the start---and I really think his intro set the tone for the rest of the reception. The dance floor was full all night and everyone told us what a great DJ had! We had a total blast!!

I would 100% recommend Beat 2 Beat DJs. They were amazing to work, answered every e-mail right away, met with us as much as we wanted, and their price was unbeatable. Book them for your wedding and you won't be sorry!!!

Beat 2 Beat DJ's is the way to go! Chris was absolutely fabulous at our wedding. From the start when we met in his studio to the wedding day, Chris has been professional, attentive and amazing. He answered any of my last minute questions, and came through with all of my requests. He did an amazing job of moving the night along, and kept true to my wish of staying low key. He got people out on the dance floor with his selection of songs, and introduced dances and speeches with the right level of fun and professionalism. I highly recommend Beat 2 Beat DJ's to anyone looking for a DJ that will work with them, and make their night a dream come true!

Beat 2 Beat allowed us to book them on relatively short notice, and our DJ, Dan McGinty, was absolutely great. We are both fairly picky about music, and gave him a pretty sizeable "must play / would be nice / do not play" list and he did a great job of sticking to it while still throwing in a few surprises. The musical flow of our reception was exactly what we were looking for, and Dan did everything we wanted and nothing we didn't. The dance floor was full all night long, and we got tons of compliments the next day. Really really great and can't recommend them highly enough.

I can’t say enough about Jon and Beat 2 Beat DJs. We had an out-of-town wedding and I never got the chance to meet with them before the day of. They made the planning seamless and reassured me in the process. Before the reception, I was a little nervous about if Jon would be able to feel and react to the mood and preferences of our guests, but those nerves went out the window as soon as he got to work.

The dance floor didn’t get any rest. The younger guest had a blast, the older guest got their groove on and everyone in between had a great time as well. Go with Beat 2 Beat. You won’t be sorry.

Jon, thanks for making it a great day. All of our guests were raving about you. Chris, thanks to you as well. You made everything so easy.

Extremely professional and flexible to work with. Great suggestions! I cannot recommend Beat 2 Beat DJs highly enough. Chris (the owner) and Dan (our DJ) were simply great from beginning to end. Chris would respond to emails very quickly, which I really appreciated. We met with Dan once last summer to discuss our general needs, and then communicated by email or phone. We had a very specific music plan for our ceremony, and it went off without a hitch. We also had parts of two songs for our first dance, and he also handled that perfectly. I was able to give Dan my playlist (which was very specific) and he played all of those songs and a few others that went great with my selections. I think Beat 2 Beat is a great company and I can't recommend them highly enough.

I HIGHLY recommend Beat 2 Beat DJs. Chris Riddle was our DJ this past Saturday and he did an incredible job at the reception. Not only did he confirm that he was pronouncing the bridal party's names correctly, before the entrance, but he also kept the dancing going ALL night long. Chris also happily responded to ALL of my emails about song requests (there were quite a few!) and kindly explained to a guest when a song they requested could not be played due to a request by my family.

Chris was incredibly easy to work with and did a fantastic job!

This review is for DJ Absolut (Brian). We had him do the music for the cocktail hour and reception. We were extremely happy with everything. Brian was super easy to work with, finding our particular music selections for the entrance and first dance with no problems. Everything was seamless.

Now, by the time dinner ended, the remaining crowd at the wedding was of a younger generation. I had already set out the "definitely play" and "do not play" songs with him, which were strictly adhered to. I still get compliments to this day (almost 6 months later) about how awesome our DJ was. One of my friends even had me get the whole playlist because she loved everything he put on. He read the crowd perfectly and kept the party going until we were forced to stop due to the noise ordinance. Awesome.

We had the opportunity to work with Brian from Beat 2 Beat for our wedding reception, and how lucky we were. The music that Brian played throughout the evening was absolutely amazing and perfect, and as a result, our party was that much more phenomenal. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better DJ. From our initial meeting with Beat 2 Beat, to the minor coordination via phone and email, to our actual reception, the professionalism and expertise that Beat 2 Beat, specifically Brian, demonstrated was amazing. For us, the DJ / music at our reception was top priority – we wanted a “party,” and Brian gave us exactly that and so much more. The dance floor was NEVER empty, and the great time and awesome atmosphere already present was only exaggerated by Brian’s remarkable talent to read a crowd and know exactly what’s needed to keep the momentum going. I would highly recommend Beats 2 Beats. Chris went above and beyond in providing services, including contacting an artist to obtain their two versions of a specific song for the mother son dance. Chris is extremely responsive to emails and all requests for information. They accept credit cards over Pay Pal, which is extremely convenient when budgeting a wedding. They were set up for the reception early, so as to not interfere with our guests going to the cocktail hour. DJ Jon was fabulous and is truely a skilled artist. He set the mood for the party and had the dance floor rocking the entire night, so much so that the air conditioning had to be dropped 12 degrees in the room and it was still hot. The Baltimore region is lucky to have Chris and Jon in the business. They made us feel like they were so proud to be part of our special day and we were equally lucky to have them. They provided stress free and professional services. As a true testament to their services, we have already referred a good friend getting married next year.

ladies...think about it. the DJ is the narrator of your whole reception! they set the tone for everything...you want to hire someone who knows what they're doing. i have been to weddings with awful DJs but chris and dan are worth every penny.

they are so easy to communicate with...and met with us multiple times! the day of the wedding, dan was awesome!! everyone was out on the dance floor...in fact...i think i spent TOO much time on the dance floor :) use them, you won't regret it!

My wedding planner Melody Browning from MeZo Events recommended Beat 2 Beat DJs and I'm glad I took her advice. DJ Five (Dan McGinty) was the DJ for my wedding and he did a great job. He kept the dance floor packed and checked in with me and the groom at several points throughout the night to make sure we were happy with everything. He did a nice job of announcing things (toasts, cake cutting, etc.) without every being cheesy or intrusive. He kept everything in line with our taste and everyone had a great time dancing.

Our ceremony and reception were held in Frederick, MD; thus we wanted to find a Dj near the venue to cut down on travel time. Unfortunately, we were not able to find a "real" Dj near our venue. We met with vendors that claimed to be a Dj, but only played music from a laptop without accompanying Dj equipment.

We decided to search for a Dj that had his/her hand on the pulse of new music and popular songs that guests would love to hear. I came across Beat 2 Beat Djs and knew this would be the company to work with. After meeting with Chris and Jon Boesche', my fiance and I were impressed with the beat mix skills and charisma displayed by both Djs.

On the day of the wedding, Jon and Chris provided uplighting, an LED Dj booth, and AWESOME music. Everyone at the wedding was impressed and danced all evening. Jon was an excellent Dj and announcer; he truly has a voice and personality that is meant to be on the radio.

Chris was very flexible with the music we suggested and was even flexible in receiving our music at the last minute. As stressful as planning a wedding can be, Chris and Jon made this a very easy and stress-free event for us. Overall, we will highly recommend Beat 2 Beat Dj's!

Chris at Beat2Beat is the man. He is an extremely likeable guy who is just flat out a natural at his job.

Beat2Beat treats you like you should be treated. Upon initial contact, they requested a meeting at their office to give us the entire experience. We were treated professionally, which was extremely nice. Chris is a younger guy who is definitely into the latest music. A requirement for our DJ was that he had to be near our age and have good taste in music. We both instantly related to Chris.

Chris is really a professional DJ and can beatmatch with the best of them. All of our friends made comments like "The music just kept going the whole time!" and "I couldn't even hear when he switched songs!". This is really what you pay for in a professional DJ. My wife and I have been to many weddings and nobody compares.

Since our wedding last September, we have had the pleasure of attending a few Beat2Beat weddings with Dan. Dan is also a great beatmatcher and a great guy.

One little added bonus, Chris's wife's company, Up Dos for I Dos, came and did on-site hair and makeup for the bride and bridesmaids. They were just as phenomenal as Beat2Beat.

We easily received as many compliments on our DJ as we did on the wedding itself. We have friends who cancelled their DJ and lost their deposit just to get Beat2Beat at their wedding.

If you're reading this and deciding on a DJ, read no more. Hire Beat2Beat!

I booked DJ Special K for a wedding event and he was fabulous! He worked with me every step of the way and accommodated my very eclectic musical tastes amazingly well! He is creative, energetic, friendly, fun and very passionate about music. He really reads guests' tastes and moods well, and adjusts music accordingly to ensure that everyone is having a great time. He is also very professional. His punctuality is impeccable, and he worked well with the rest of the venue staff. We booked Beat 2 Beat DJs for our wedding on June 11, 2011- Brian was our DJ. From our first meeting with Beat 2 Beat they blew us away. Not only were they completely professional and responsive throughout the entire process, they were fresh too. Fresh meaning that they are not like the typical DJs that have been playing the same old song list for the past 50 years. They are fresh, upbeat, and extremely talented.
We had a few special requests for our reception and they were very accomodating. My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Brian- even the guests commented on how great it was! He kept everyone on the dance floor until the very end of the night.

My wife and I got married on 5/27/2011. We had Chris(Beat 2 Beat DJs) DJ our wedding. There is only one word to describe the job he did...AMAZING!!! Not only did he keep the dance floor full the entire night, but he was very professional. A few days before the wedding, he called me and my wife to ask our permission to use a new piece of equipment. I'm glad he did. The new lights he had just added to the awesome atmosphere at our reception. He is very dedicated to his work and knows how to read a crowd. His music flowed seamlessly all night, and the dance floor never stopped rocking. Also, if you want certain songs played, let him know. He'll play them, if he doesn't have them, he'll do his best to get them. If you're looking for a DJ for your wedding, I strongly recommend Beat 2 Beat. Whether it's Chris or one of his fellow DJs, they will do an AMAZING job.

We loved working with Beat 2 Beat for our wedding reception! Choosing a DJ was very important to my husband and me because we wanted to set a fun environment for our guests. We only went to Beat 2 Beat and as soon as we left our initial meeting my now husband and I wanted them to DJ our wedding. We were lucky enough to have Chris Riddle. He was extremely professional and prior to the wedding asked for specifics that we wanted for our wedding. I provided him with a list of songs that we wanted played, so we did not want played, artists we liked and most importantly that we wanted to DANCE! So many of our guests came up to us at the wedding (and after) to say how much they loved the music. There were also a lot of people who said that they had not danced that much in years. We were extremely happy when we found out that Beat 2 Beat DJs had our wedding date available. Dan McGinty was fantastic! I sent him the list of songs we definitely wanted to be played along with a "do not play" list, and he made it flow perfectly throughout our reception. All of the guests had a fabulous time and commented on how great our DJ was. Dan was professional and wonderful to work with. He and Chris Riddle (owner) were very quick with email and phone responses. They were also able to help with the planning for the order of events for the night.

Beat to Beat DJs was one of the best & easiest parts of our wedding. Working with Chris and Dan was easy and fun. They were very quick to respond and were willing to make anything happen for us. Dan was professional and kept the party going. He was not the cheesy wedding DJ at all. When he said over the mike, "It's time for the bride and groom to leave," I was SOO sad!! I've had sooo many people come up after the wedding and say, "That was the most fun I've ever had at a wedding" or "You guys threw one heck of a party." I got so many compliments on the DJ it was unreal. It was truly the best day of our lives and the best party I've ever thrown. People have asked us if we're going to have an anniversary party and invite that Dj! Thank you Beat to Beat DJs for all of your hard work and for helping to make our day so special! We will be using you again!! :) Thank you!
