Both my wife and I have worked in the wedding industry, myself as a videographer, so we know exactly what it looks like behind the scenes. I've been a huge fan of Brooks and Angie for many years, and they felt like the only choice for our wedding film. Though we'd exchanged pleasantries online, I actually hadn't met them until we met up over beers to chat about their services.
Brooks and Angie are some of the warmest people you'll ever meet. Right away, they bring you into their orbit and cheer you on. Video is one of the vendors who will spend the most time around you on your wedding day, and these two are who you want there. Of course their product is incredible (more on that later), but equally as important is the feeling you get when they're around. We couldn't speak more highly about these two.
We were fortunate enough to do a story session with the Gatewoods, all of us taking a quick trip to Richmond in order to perfectly capture the vibes that just didn't exist in Baltimore. We were SO pumped that they were down for the adventure, and fully trusted them with creative decisions. Seeing the reel they made from our time there brought us SO much joy!
Our wedding teaser is more than we could have hoped for. It feels so authentic to us - another reason why it was so important & special to connect with them before the big day! Our friends can't stop talking about how fun it is. The colors are beautiful, the pacing is flawless, and seeing the day from that perspective was so special. Brooks and Angie take such care to understand their couples' relationships and translate them to their films. We felt understood and seen. It feels so special to have folks get a peek into our lives and have them cherish and delight in our love story as much as we do.
If there's one thing I know for sure, it's that you should hire Brooks and Angie. -

We cannot thank By The Gatewoods—the incredibly talented husband-and-wife duo, Angie and Brooks—enough for this incredible piece of art and cinema! From start to finish, they captured our wedding day in the most breathtaking way.
From our very first call, we had an amazing experience. Their deep knowledge of the wedding industry, the video production world, and, most importantly, storytelling was immediately evident. As someone with over 10 years of experience in video production myself, I could instantly tell they knew exactly what they were doing. Their expertise, creativity, and attention to detail made us feel completely confident that our wedding film would be something truly special—and they absolutely delivered.
One of the most unique and wonderful experiences was the adventure session they suggested before the wedding. It was such a special time for us—not only did we get to create beautiful footage, but we also bonded with Angie and Brooks and shared our love story with them. This allowed them to truly understand us as a couple, and it absolutely showed in the way they captured our wedding day and crafted the final film. That extra effort and personal connection made all the difference.
The cinematography, lighting, angles, pacing of the edits, sound design, aerial footage, and graphics were all perfectly chosen and executed. Every shot felt intentional, bringing out the beauty and emotion of each moment.
Kim and I are beyond happy and feel so lucky to have had Angie and Brooks document our special day. We've already watched our film four times, and each time, it brings back all the emotions and excitement as if we were reliving it again. It’s something we will cherish forever. Every penny was worth the investment into a film that we can show our kids and future family for generations to come. The story of my wife and me will live on, shared and cherished by those who come after us.
I can confidently say that By The Gatewoods is the top video production company in the DMV area. Their passion, professionalism, and storytelling ability set them apart, and their work speaks for itself.

BE Videography is made of Angie & Brooks; the absolute best people to have to capture your wedding day! They have gone above and beyond to ensure our wedding video was unique, personalized, emotional, and cinematic. They listened to what we wanted and in the end created the most magical video.
We found BE Videography through Instagram while researching dozens of videographers in the Baltimore area. We were planning our wedding from out of state so interviewing venders was sometimes difficult. They were so accommodating and set up a zoom call with us. After talking with them, we fell in love!! Talk about a perfect fit. From their energy, to their detail and organization Angie and Brooks made the wedding process so much smoother and stress free! The day of was perfect, and they were their guiding us every step of the way.
We couldn’t have asked for a better team. Angie & Brooks pour their hearts and souls into their work. The passion and dedication to helping their couples preserve these memories is clear. I am so thankful to have found Brooks and Angie when I did. It was about 4 months before our wedding when I began to question a videographer. So many couples I spoke to voiced that their only regret was not booking a videographer to capture the day. I always thought photographs would be enough but I (eventually) realized that although photographs are gorgeous, they simply aren’t enough to truly preserve the days moments. I reached out to two teams and casually left it in God’s hands. I told myself if these teams were booked, then it just simply wasn’t meant to be. With such a crazy year of so many postponements and cancellations I knew many vendors booked up way earlier than normal so I expected both companies to obviously tell my last-minute self that I was crazy. Almost immediately the other company emailed back saying they were in fact available but something told me to hold off. I gave it a few days but I knew I was going to have to decide sooner rather than later. And then, I received an email from Brooks and Angie apologizing for their late response as they were out of the county. And there it was- my sign. I knew I postponed my decision for a reason. I knew I wanted BE Videography as my first choice because every single one of their videos made me cry (but I also understood I couldn’t be disappointed had they been booked). The way they captured every couple made me feel as if I personally knew them. I felt ALLLL the emotions watching every video they created. I really would just sit there and cry and tell my husband: “If I’m crying watching these videos, imagine ours”. They immediately sent over their pricing guide along with all the information I needed. We scheduled a call where they answered all my questions and got to know my husband and I as a couple. Everything with them felt so natural, from the conversations to how they worked as a team. They worked right alongside my photographer to ensure everything was in order. I cannot recommend BE Videography enough. They are professional in every aspect. They are prompt and hands down the most thoughtful, warm, generous, and BEST team. They a true dream to work with and I am so honored to have a piece of their work. The way they captured my husband and I feels so genuine and us. I still frequently watch our video and am still just as thralled with it as I was the first time I watched it. Moments already forgotten will always be forever engrained with us thanks to Brooks and Angie. -

BE Videography is the best overall decision we made for our wedding. I’ve never understood why so many people go back and forth on paying a little extra to film their wedding. Photos are great, memories are great, but having someone there to capture the full essence of the day is essential and really can only be done by talented videographers. Brooks and Angie are just that. They’re vision is undeniable, just watch a few of their films and you’ll see that. And film is the correct distinction, because it truly feels like your wedding day has been turned into a feature movie with their incredible cameras, shot direction, editing and musical touch. While all of that might sound overwhelming, it truly couldn’t have been an easier process. Brooks and Angie are so good at communicating and will make sure your wedding seamlessly translates into the video you’ve been dreaming of, all while barley being noticed throughout the day.
On top of all of this, these two traveled all the way from Maryland to Texas to be there for our wedding. They even came a few days early to spend time with us and really get a better feel for who we are as a couple. They’re incredibly committed to making these videos the best they can possibly be, in every aspect, and completely individualized for each couple that they work with. We couldn’t recommend BE more or stress strongly enough how “worth the money” their addition to your wedding is. Book em! -

Looking back, hiring BE Videography was one of the best decisions I made while wedding planning.
Brooks and Angie crafted a video that was uniquely us. They picked up on little details that meant so much to my husband and I - the audio of my sister singing "Here Comes The Bride", the flowers my dad planted in my garden, all of the fun and smiles of the day. I loved how they used the audio from my family priest to set the tone of the video.

Day of, Brooks and Angie worked seamlessly with our photographer (Hannah Leigh) and truly made the video shoot fun and exciting. I felt like they were our best friends, they made us so comfortable in front of the camera.
When we weren't doing video shoots, Brooks and Angie really were in the background. You could barely notice that they were there and they still got the best footage!
Our video preview came out so quickly, and I was impressed at the speed of which we got our full video. I loved that the preview and the longer video had two different vibes! One was fun and captured the liveliness of the event, and the other was emotional, heartfelt and just beautiful!
Working with BE Videography is a no brainer- their professionalism, their craft, their storytelling is unparalleled. I highly recommend them to all! -

When we found BE videography, after several months searching for a Videographer, we were blown away by not only Brooks and Angie's work but also their professionalism and kindness during our first couple meetings. After having worked with them for our wedding a couple months ago, I can honestly say that we have only continued to be blown away by them.
Brooks and Angie are just hands down absolutely incredible people. Genuine, personable, professional, energetic, and kind are just a few ways to describe them. On our wedding day, they made us feel comfortable and every interaction was so fun. Even our guests were coming up to us to say how much they loved them. At every moment throughout the day they so fluidly captured every special moment. A couple weeks ago now, we received our wedding video and there simply aren't words to express how in love with it we are. We cannot stop watching it and are very grateful for how they so perfectly captured the emotions, excitement, love, and memories from our special day.
We love Brooks and Angie and would 100/10 recommend them to anyone. If you are considering working with Brooks and Angie, just do it. I promise you will be absolutely blown away just as we are.

All we can say is WOW. Brooks and the BE team were probably one of the main highlights of our entire wedding experience. Our wedding planner highly recommended them and we are so grateful we listened! Brooks really got to know us as a couple and on the wedding day, it felt like the BE team was part of the wedding party - which made the whole experience of being followed around by a camera much more relaxing (and fun!!). Most importantly, the quality of our highlight video is unbelievable. They captured every important moment of the day and created a video that truly embodied the entire spirit of the day. Angie and Brooks are hands down THE most amazing videographers and people!!
Honestly, I can't say enough good things about BE Videography. My husband and I got our wedding video back 3 days ago and we've definitely watched it over 15 times...it's THAT good! The intro is absolutely phenomenal and hyped us up. Then we sobbed throughout the rest of the video! Angie and Brooks captured all the laughs, smiles, and tears, and you can literally feel the love in the room (in all of their videos!)
Before I had even hired Brooks and Angie I was in awe of the raw emotion they seemed to capture. They get the coolest angles and their wedding videos are like mini movies! I definitely recommend spending the extra money to hire a videographer, there's just something about watching the most important day of your life back. Angie and Brooks aren't just any wedding videographers, they’re artists who make your day feel just as magical a month later when you're sobbing watching your wedding video and feeling all the feels.
On top of their amazing videography skills, Angie and Brooks are two of the most down-to-earth people you’ll meet. It was such a blessing to work with BE Videography. They truly are the dream team and care so much about their couples. Brooks and Angie are not only insanely talented, but they are such incredible human beings.
Postponing a wedding twice during a pandemic was extremely stressful, but the silver lining was that we got the pleasure of working with Brooks and Angie for both our tiny elopement and our big day. Capturing these moments was very important to us since many of our family and friends were unable to attend due to guest restrictions. They were not only understanding and flexible, but they put my husband and I at ease during the entire planning and filming process.
We weren't sure how we would feel being in front of a camera, but Brooks and Angie made us feel like we were part of the family. They guide you through important moments like reading letters and the first look, but then disappear into the background and capture candid moments that we would have missed if not for their amazing attention to detail.
It felt like Christmas morning when we received our videos. They are a masterclass in editing and tone, and capture the true spirit of your day. A member of our family has dementia and we know that these videos will be a ray of light on some tough days. -

I will never be able to give enough praises about BE Videography. Our wedding was about 4 months ago in the midst of 2020 and we still have people telling us weekly how amazing our video turned out! People always ask themselves if it's worth it to have both photography and videography and I cannot stress enough how different they are and how magical it is to be able to literally relive the moments of the best day of our lives anytime we want. BE Videography truly captures all the emotions of your day and completely immerses you with their meticulous editing, music choices, and flawless transitions that make you both the main characters in your love story. I already knew how amazing this company was after being in a wedding they worked at a few years back, but as a precaution I still did extensive research on other videography companies in my area. I didn't find another even close to the superior editing level of BE Videography. My already high expectations were blown away after watching the video summary of my own special day due to the simple fact that they always find a way to capture the unique, raw personality of the couple they film.
As far as their presence during our actual wedding day, out of all our vendors, they made us feel the most comfortable and at ease during stressful moments by being clear with direction/communication and knowing when to blend seamlessly into the background making people who can feel awkward in front of a camera (like us) feel like they are the only 2 in the room. By the time we saw our finished video we were amazed at how many candid moments we loved when we thought there wasn't even a camera in sight. I could go on and on as could the rest of our guests about how competent and professional this team is. Hiring a videographer is always worth it, and BE Videography is at its very top tier of excellency! -

My husband and I recently had our vow renewal and were absolutely blown away with how Brooks and Angie captured our entire day. When I say we watched our highlight film a million times and cried each time, it's the honest truth!!! They were able to get all of the best moments and put them into a 5 minute video that we will always be able to rewatch and relive. They are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and made us feel extremely comfortable throughout the whole process. Initially I thought I would feel weird knowing that there was a camera recording every moment of the day but honestly didn't feel that way in the slightest. I can't tell you enough how grateful I am for their services. If anyone is getting married and needs a videographer, HIRE THEM NOW!!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!! I would have to say hiring them was hands down the best decision we ever made and we will forever be thankful for them and the beautiful work they produced. Seriously, book them already! -

BE Videography is the BEST deal in town, hands down. I think the best way to describe the quality of BE Videography's work is to mention how many people reached out to me (whether I really knew them or not) to ask for the contact information to book their weddings with BE Videography.
Apart from the amazing quality of the work, Brooks and his team were incredible to work with. I had so many guests tell me (after seeing the video) that they never saw a "cameraman" once the entire night! He was incredibly kind, stealthy, and genuinely immersed in the emotions of the day - which is what comes out in the video.
Book Brooks and BE Videography while you can, because I guarantee that they will be hard to nail down VERY soon.

Brooks is the real deal, or as my husband says: “he’s the man!” We met Brooks about a year prior to our wedding and booked him right away—good thing we did because he is in high demand, and rightfully so! Not only is he a down to earth guy, who made the process from start to finish SO easy & truly fun—WOW is he talented!!! Without being asked, he showed up early on the wedding day to capture extra details of that day (which ended up being some of our most favorite details). He was one of the first vendors I saw that day, with his personable demeanor, right away he put my mind at ease that it was going to be one of the best days of my life! The second videographer, Shane, who accompanied him that day was FANTASTIC too! Both, Brooks & Shane were right in the action to grab every detail of the day but was so respectful of being the perfect amount of involved and going with the flow too! Post wedding, Brooks got right to editing and just in time for Thanksgiving, had our highlight film complete, so we could share with our family & friends (Mind you this was only 19 days after our wedding). The video is better than we could’ve ever imagined! He is beyond thoughtful and his passion and genuine commitment to his clients shows through his work! Brooks surpassed our expectations and captured that day so perfectly, we truly feel like we can “relive” our wedding day over & over! :) -

Brianna Sent on 01/07/2018I cannot overstate this enough, Brooks was awesome and an absolute pleasure to work with! He did such an amazing job capturing our wedding, from the very first moments when we read each other’s’ cards the morning of (while still isolated from each other) to the very end for our “glow stick sendoff”. Initially, we were almost thinking about bypassing getting a videographer altogether since many of the ones we viewed beforehand didn’t look like anything worthwhile…until my wife happened to glance over some of Brooks’s prior wedding videos and she literally said, “I FOUND THE ONE, I LOVE IT!” while watching them on repeat. Once she eventually handed the laptop over so I could see the videos for myself, I was sold right then and there too. We reached out to Brooks and had a video conference with him (since we are from out of town) to go over all the details and what we could expect. He was extremely friendly and just a laid-back guy to talk to. Once he was “onboard” as our videographer, he was flexible with scheduling things out and handling any other specific requests we had. On the day of the wedding, he was on time, super professional, and it didn’t feel like we had a camera on us the whole day / night. In terms of the kind of video that Brooks produces (which we got back really quick, by the way), let’s just say I find myself pretty much experiencing every emotion I felt that day every time I watch it. I could go on and on about why Brooks deserves to be your videographer for whatever event you’re planning, but I’ll just let his body of work do the talking there (since that’s what sold us, as I’m sure it will for you too). We got the raw footage from Brooks and we are so glad that we did! This was an awesome addition. He also made us a little edited video of our ceremony personal vows which was something completely unexpected and will be wonderful to watch every year on our anniversary. Brooks went out of his way to make sure that he got the littlest details in the video and he really captured our entire day in a 6.5 minute highlight video. The fact that he met with us before our big day to go over everything and then him and the second shooter were both there from beginning of the day til end- worth every penny! Should we ever need anything captured in video again, Brooks is our guy! Also, I want to add- the reason I picked Brooks in the beginning is his customer service right off the bat from the first e-mail. I felt at ease. Any question I had, I received a very quick & professional, yet friend like response. Again- you can't go wrong with Brooks! -

Not only is he very talented and professional, but even as a solo shooter he was able to capture every amazing moment of the day. He was everywhere we needed him to be without ever being invasive and he coordinated with the photographers on the timeline to make sure that no detail was missed and that he never interfered with what they were doing. He edited our wedding video so quickly, and even had it ready for us by the time we got home from our honeymoon. I am a wedding planner and have worked with many, many different videographers and Brooks is truly the best of the best. My husband and I, as well as our friends and family, can't stop watching the video over and over again- it lets us savor those special moments that made our wedding day so great.
