Seashell Resort LBI June 6th

Nick was absolutely fantastic for our Seashell resort wedding on LBI on June 6th. He was super responsive from day one! Even before we decided to go with him, he was still very open and responsive. He was so thorough during the planning sessions that we felt 100% confident leading up to our wedding. From even the smallest details to the big moments, the music and coordination was perfect, not a single hiccup! Our guests loved Nick and he kept all of our guests on the dance floor the entire night! I can’t recommend him enough! All of our wedding guests said it was the best wedding they have been to!

Best Emcee/DJ Ever!!!

Nick and his team were absolutely AWESOME as our wedding Emcee/DJ. His attention to detail is unmatched. My husband and I are HUGE music lovers. He worked with us to curate the perfect playlists based on songs that we wanted to hear, while still working in popular crowd-pleasers. His expertise and willingness to work with us and our wedding planner leading up to the event helped us feel at ease during a stressful time. Nick prioritized keeping the dance floor full and people engaged, and he delivered - what an absolutely great time. My father-in-law was break dancing! He was also so incredibly helpful even with questions that didn't relate directly to DJing. We had multiple guests commenting on what an amazing job he did, and how great the music was. He helped make our wedding day perfect. Nick is such a genuinely good person, and his business is a reflection of that. Nick, and the rest of the team at Be The Good Entertainment should be your first choice for any event!

The Best of the Best !!

I was so happy I met Nick Cavaleri at a wedding expo at Hotel LBI and we hired him to be our wedding DJ!! Nick did an amazing job planning with us leading up to the wedding especially when it came to the time line. The day of was flawless thanks to him!! He did a great job with song choices and kept our guest entertained and dancing all night long! My dad loved him and said he plans to hire him for my little sisters wedding in the future! Without a doubt I recommend Nick and his team!!

The best DJ ever

Best. DJ. Ever. Nick was amazing, he met with us a few times and really helped us identify our style of music for the wedding. Nick played the first song at our reception and from that moment on the dance floor was packed. I looked around a few times during our wedding and noticed that almost everyone was on the dancefloor the whole time. Every song he played got people dancing and we danced all night long. Four months later, people are still talking about how great of a job he did.

Best in the business

From start to finish, Nick will make you feel like the most important people in the world! My husband who very much did NOT enjoy wedding planning always enjoyed our meetings with Nick. He is a perfect combination of complete professionalism, charisma, and fun! He has a true love and passion for all different types of music, which really lends itself well to his role as MC/DJ! We also had Nick officiant our wedding, and he wrote a beautiful, sentimental, yet fun ceremony! However, the reason I’m writing this review is that our venue dropped the ball, and Nick REALLY helped pick up the pieces. He took on a lot of the coordinating, which was NOT his job responsibility. However, he did it because he wanted us to have a great wedding, and I will never forget him for that! Months later, my friends and family are still talking about the music! Little do they know that me, my husband and Nick had a two hour brainstorming session to make sure we were picking the best songs 😊 If you are looking for an amazing DJ, please pick Nick! He’s the best in the business!

Nick is so experienced

Nick was incredible to work with not just because he is incredibly professional but he is also a fantastic guy. Yes we went over all of the music choices, he gave plenty of suggestions on things I would not have thought about. But I never knew that the DJ creates the wedding timeline. From deciding to do first dances and speeches at the start of the reception so we could move onto the party, to literally being in charge of when the food was served. He really knows what his is doing and because of his timeline everything went so smoothly. Thanks Nick, couldn't have done it without you!

FANTASTIC!!! Excellent energy!

Nick was awesome from start to finish! We loved that he didn’t ask for a playlist. He read the crowd and the crowd LOVED him! Our dance floor was packed and we had multiple people compliment us on the DJ! His involvement is what set him aside from the others. It was like a performance and he was sharing the celebration with us! He was in constant contact with us, even when I made last minute additions and changes he responded quickly and confidently making the planning experience so enjoyable. We are so happy to have had Nick as our DJ for our Big Day!

Best Night of our Lives!!

5 stars truly does not do Nick justice, he went above and beyond from the first time we spoke throughout our entire wedding including a postponement. He responded within seconds any time we needed help and has more knowledge of the wedding industry than anyone we encountered across the board. I have never been to a wedding before that had a packed dance floor from the first song of the reception to the very last song like our wedding, I don’t think anyone finished their meals because we were having too much fun! Nick’s energy really draws people to the dance floor and we are still having guests reaching out saying how phenomenal Nick was. Our wedding flowed seamlessly because Nick kept everyone on track and didn’t miss a single beat. He was our most organized, reliable, upbeat and positive professional we hired and made us feel as if we were his only wedding of the year! It was such a pleasure to see Nick really enjoy what he does and engage the entire wedding, guests that we have never seen get on a dance floor were dancing the entire night! Our wedding was truly the best night of our lives thanks to Be The Good Entertainment!

Amazing experience!

Thank you SO MUCH to you and your staff for truly making our dreams come true and being such an integral part of the best day of our lives! I cannot even begin to articulate how much we appreciate all of the effort and work that went into such an amazing event.

We received countless compliments about the music and especially the energy of the dance floor. The lights were AWESOME! Thank you for working with us with the Eritrean music - it really meant so much to our guests to celebrate the culture and everyone was so happy. You did an absolutely fantastic job with the other sets too and reading the room, knowing exactly what to play and when.

Best DJ ever

Phenomenal DJ

We had no idea where to start in choosing a DJ so we thought we would try to remember the best DJ experience we could remember at a wedding we attended. It took no time to think of Be the Good entertainment. For this DJ to stick out in my mind 6 years after the wedding we attended where he was emcee had to mean he was amazing. Nick was the only DJ we wanted. From initial phone calls to chat and see if we would be a good fit to the day of, he exceeded our expectations. We met in person to listen to music and discuss our hopes for the day, and he gave us some great suggestions and ideas. He truly gave us the wedding we wanted, with the vibe we were looking for and the music that spoke to us. It felt so personal and absolutely perfect. He kept people on the dance floor the whole night and I’ve heard compliments on him specifically numerous times from our guests. I highly recommend Nick and Be the Good Entertainment.

Book book book

I can’t express enough how awesome Nicks team was for my wedding. They exceeded my expectation!

First off, booking with Nick he will tell you one thing that I believe is the most genius thing a dj can tell you. He will tell you not to give him a list of songs. THIS RIGHT HERE MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. You can’t pick the music for your wedding that just you like and expect everyone to be on the dance floor and like that music as well. He feels out the crowd, and goes from there. And let me tell you, everyone was dancing at my wedding. Every single person came up to me and told me how awesome he was and how good the music was.

Secondly, he is the best emcee. He ran the show and did it so smoothly. Trust him, because it wouldn’t have gone the way it did without him. He had great expert advice on how certain things should flow and even how to incorporate our kids into our wedding. It was the most special day.

Thirdly, book the photo booth with him. His team is freaking awesome. They went above and beyond and put an entire photo book together with a copy of everyone’s pictures. It’s included and so worth it when you book the photo booth package. Props included. It was the best memorandum from the day to look back at everyone’s pictures and get a good laugh.

Again, I can’t express enough how you can’t go wrong booking with Nick. Him team is worth every penny and having a good dj and emcee is a huge part of your wedding you want to stand out.

Be The Good is the BEST!!!

We have gone to multiple weddings in which “Be the Good Entertainment” was the MC of the night and were blown away at the level of engagement and entertainment from Nick. For our own wedding he went above and beyond. A month out from the reception we met with Nick to go over the plan for the night and the outline of music. He made sure we knew exactly what would be going on and made sure that we would not be caught off guard by anything. The goal of the night was to have the dance floor packed and Nick made sure that happened! The music was a great mix of current and older songs, all strung together in a perfect flow. Nick was engaging with our guests and bridal party, and made sure that there was something for everybody in terms of songs played. Overall the reception was one large party on the dance floor, with music that matched the mood all throughout.

The art of creating the space for awesome memories to unfold

Nick is amazing! He is easy to work with, gets everyone moving, and helped our wedding go on without a hitch (pun intended). He dealt with the minor things that came up and ensured we were staying on track during the event, without me even realizing it. The atmosphere he created and allowed to organically unfold was exactly what we wanted, due to his innate ability of understanding people and anticipating their needs. Not Your Average DJ!!!

Nick was recommended to me and my husband through our Dave Matthews Band community. Obviously, music is the most important part of a wedding experience, so we felt the pressure of finding the perfect company not only for us but for our guests. After my initial conversation with Nick, I was honestly ready to book him immediately. I could tell from this conversation alone that he takes his role in a wedding very seriously and I was very impressed with him background, philosophy, and overall personality. It was a no brainer for us, especially after reading all of his amazing reviews! Nick made the entire process so easy and stress free. I am a bride with a lot of crazy ideas and we had a plethora of performances, a choreographed dance to two songs, and a lot of other special things we wanted to do at reception, and Nick was open to all of it and made it all happen seamlessly, not doubting me or my vision for a second, rare in the wedding industry. Nick went above and beyond for us in so many ways, even coming to our apartment to do our in person meeting being that his studio was over two hours away from us. Just beyond! Fast forward to wedding day, Nick had everyone up and dancing, hands in the air, all night long. He also carefully organized all of our performances and speeches in a way that it didn't feel like it took away from the day at all. Everyone continues to rave about Nick and the music and how much fun they had at our wedding. Nick even went out of his way to fit in some DMB songs in transitional periods of the evening which both me and my FH noticed and appreciated so much. Even songs I wanted to incorporate but didn't have a place for, Nick found ways to include them adding to the many special memories we have from our magical day. He also made the most epic suggestion for our entrance and it was just that, EPIC. Communication with Nick was always no issue no matter where he was or what time of day he always responded quickly to me and if he was unavailable he would let me know when he would be. He also booked Rhyme and Reason to play our wedding ceremony, first dance, and another song at reception who were incredible. Booking Nick was by far the best decision we could have possibly made for our wedding. He is so much more than a DJ, he invests himself in your day and does everything he can to make sure that it all goes perfectly. Thank you for everything Nick!!!

Our Amazing Wedding

Nick made our dream wedding day even better than we ever could have imagined. He was engaging and upbeat and funny and so in tune with all of the details that were so important to us - we could not have asked for someone better to have placed our wedding into the hands of. Wedding Emcee and DJ

Nick made our wedding so fun and memorable. I've lost count on how many of our guests told us how awesome our DJ was! He helped us pick some of our more special songs and kept the party going all night. We would definitely recommend Nick for wedding emcee and DJ!

Exceptional.

Nick was receptive to our vision and regularly offered up many of his own ideas. He was organized, efficient, and energetic. He managed to keep nearly all 95 of our guests on the dance floor throughout the entirety of our three-hour reception. Many of our guests told us that it was the most fun they’ve ever had at a wedding, and much of that praise was owing to Nick’s tireless creativity, skill, and passion.

The Best DJ

We worked with Nick Cavaleri and we would highly recommend him!! He was beyond friendly, professional, and enthusiastic. He makes it a point to get to know his clients so that he can offer them an amazing and personal experience. We had the best party and it was truly due to his experience and personality. The right DJ for your wedding

Nick and his team at Be The Good helped make our big day the best it could possibly be. From the start, Nick made sure to thoroughly understand the kind of music we both like as well as how to incorporate the right wedding music to appeal to all age groups. We had several face to face meetings and phone calls and this really helped to make sure we all had the right idea of what we wanted and needed hear at the right times. Our wedding was at Brant Beach Yacht Club and Nick's familiarity with the venue and staff was an added bonus. We got rave reviews the whole night and continue to hear how good the music was to this day. Nick is a true professional and will ensure that your day goes over perfectly. Nick and his team were beyond amazing! Not only was Nick attentive to all our needs and wants during our meetings beforehand but he was on point during the wedding as well. He had our whole wedding up and dancing and everyone keeps telling us how great the music was. We had a mix of Spanish and English family and Nick had a perfect mix of music to please everyone. We trusted his input and advice all the way through and are so happy we did! Look no further, just schedule a meeting with him and you will understand how much of an amazing individual he is. I can write enough. Cris Crapello met with us for over 2 hours at our, understood exactly what we were looking for and absolutely delivered! Outstanding!

Nick and Chris went above and beyond to make my daughter's wedding a personalized and unique event. We had requested a lot from them, but they were patient through it all and far exceeded our expectations! I cannot recommend them highly enough. My guests danced all night and raved about how excellent they were. If you want to work with people who truly care about what they are doing then you want Nick and Chris! They must truly love what they do because it definitely showed in their professionalism, their execution, and their ability to help a couple realize their dream wedding. I could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. I give Nick much of the credit for making our wedding such a success. He was able to capture my husband and I's personalities perfectly and incorporate them into the entertainment for the evening which i don't think you will find with most DJs. What a wonderful wedding day Kisha Taylor and I had! While there were many people that assisted us in having such a great time, one of the best people we had was our DJ, Nick Cavaleri. For anyone who has hired him, this will seem like deja vu. From the moment we contacted him to the end of our wedding, his only interest was making a playlist that reflected who Kisha and I are as individuals and as a couple. He was not your average DJ who played the same tired songs everyone has heard before nor did he play any hokey songs like the Electric Slide or the Macarena. He was available whenever we needed him and his input from 20 years of experience proved to be invaluable. Throughout the wedding, everyone kept telling us how amazing Nick was. My husband and I booked Nick Cavaleri when the venue we had chosen recommended him. From the moment we talked to him on the phone we instantly understood why. He didn't seem like the typical cheesey DJ, but more of a guy who wanted to get to know our personalities and music preferences to create a music experience that embodied us as a couple. He followed up with us throughout the whole planning process and was flexible to the changes we made along the way. It was awesome seeing our wedding come to life! We had the honor of working with Nick at our wedding. We cannot thank him enough for all of his guidance and entertainment at the wedding. Everyone expressed how great the music was and we cannot be happier that people were dancing until the end. Our venue even commented on how he's never seen a wedding that was extended until midnight having that many people on dance floor. Our friends and families could not compliment him enough. We even received messages the next day requesting his information. Nick was extremely professional, prompt and flexible with our venue changing the lineup at the last minute. He also worked great with our other vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly. Nick is so approachable and went out his way to make sure everything was perfect for our night. My wife and I were at a wedding a couple of years ago where Nick was the DJ, and before we left, we took his card because we knew we wanted him to DJ at our wedding one day... After getting engaged, we gave Nick a call and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. From start to finish, Nick honestly was probably the most helpful person to talk to... Obviously outside of being a DJ, he has a TON of knowledge and experience with venues all over, and really gave us some great advice to help us pick a venue that fit our style and that he had great experiences with... he always made himself available to answer any questions that we had, and always gave a very honest opinion that you can definitely trust.

A month or so prior to the wedding, Nick sat down with us for a couple of hours to really get a feel for the music that we like, how we envisioned the reception to go, and to discuss all of the details from start to finish... Between the music that he played, the timing of everything, etc., Nick absolutely nailed it and was extremely organized and on top of his game. All in all, we 100% could not have asked for a better experience with Nick, and we without a doubt would recommend him to anyone (we even have a friend in our bridal party who booked him the day after our wedding for her's).

Nick and his team were absolutely excellent. They were our DJs for our wedding at the Brant Beach Yacht club down on Long Beach Island. Everything went smoothly. Nick made the music selection personal to who my husband and I are as a couple, as well as individuals. He was very responsive to the crowd and was able to keep everyone up and dancing, the whole night. I would highly recommend!!! I have been getting compliments since the wedding on how incredible the music was!

Nick is the absolute best. He knows what he's doing and he's a pro at it. My husband and I had such a diverse group of guests from age to taste of music, but somehow was able to play music that had people on their feet all night long. He strategically played music that ensured majority of our guests stayed ill the last song of the reception. We couldn't be more pleased with Nick.

I randomly found "Be the Good" searching wedding sites for DJ's- his reviews looked good so I reached out. The first sign of how couple centered Nick is was the fact he prefers to communicate over phone vs through email, which is something that takes more time and allows you to start to get to know each other before actually meeting. We completed our initial phone conversation and were so impressed that we booked that night. My fiance and myself went into the creative session with our first song picked out, but otherwise completely clueless about how personalized we could make our wedding based on our music choices throughout the night. Meeting with Nick you can tell he loves what he does, and more importantly, knows his music. He'd give us a few options for the signature songs throughout the wedding like the processional/recessional and based on our feedback continued to give options until we found something that we were both excited about.
Come our wedding day it was a relief going into the wedding having our full trust in Nick to choose the music throughout the night to make our guests happy and dance floor full (this is not an exaggeration). Friends and even "older" family members have given countless praises about Nick's work throughout the night. My aunt was so impressed she reached out to me to get Nick's contact info for her nephew who is planning is own wedding this year. We can't thank Nick enough for committing his time and effort into making our wedding all we dreamed of! So sorry it took me so long to get this review up!

The first thing that stands out about Nick from the second you first talk to him about your wedding is how truly enthusiastic he is about what he does, about music generally, and about making sure your wedding music fits your personality as a couple. I am lucky enough to have known Nick since high school, so it was a no-brainer for me to reach out to him when I was looking for a wedding DJ. But what really solidified the choice for both me and my husband was how much he seemed to care about making sure we were happy with all the music choices for the day and how much time he spent working hard to put together the perfect plan for us. He had great ideas and suggestions on songs, and tried to guide us in the right direction in choosing songs for all the big moments that fit our preferences and likes. And the fact that he wants to meet his clients in person really shows how seriously he takes making sure the music for your day is perfect. From the ceremony, to cocktail hour, the to the reception, our wedding music was awesome and Nick’s upbeat personality really added so much to the fun atmosphere of our wedding and kept our guests dancing all night!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from Nick when we met him but was extremely satisfied after our meeting. From the initial hiring to the big day...Nick was AMAZING to work with! He made our wedding all about us and listened to everything we said and gave it the most personal touch! Our wedding was almost 3 weeks ago and we're still meticulously going over and trying to relive each perfect moment in every detail. A huge part of why it was such a resounding success had to do with the magical team of Nick Cavaleri and Nic Freeman. We had heard and read a lot of glowing reviews, so our expectations going in were very high, and yet they managed to blow our minds anyway. Music is a huge part of our lives and it's one of the things that brought us together, so it was very important for us to find a DJ/Emcee who understood that about us as a couple and would be able to showcase that throughout the day. From the first time I spoke with Nick on the phone, I knew that he understood exactly what we were looking for and I was confident that he was exactly the right person for the job. When we met in person to go over our vision for our special day, it felt like meeting with an old friend. Amid laughter and exchanging stories, he made some wonderful suggestions and helped us plan the flow of the day, and at the end of the meeting we both knew without a doubt that our wedding was in the right hands. From the moment the music started, you couldn't drag me off the dance floor! From the song choices and the timing, to the absolutely spectacular acoustic set, to the subtle weaving in of our favorite DMB tunes, and the small custom surprises along the way, it was perfection from start to end. They are the very best at what they do, which is to take your vision and then make it a reality, only much better than the way you had originally envisioned. The only thing we would have done differently would be to get them for a few extra hours. Everyone left saying how awesome the music was and that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Thanks to Nick and Nic, it was truly a better time than most can dream. Plus, I think we made two great friends out of the deal, which is always a bonus! To say that we would recommend them is the understatement of the century!

Nick was my DJ at my wedding this past weekend and let me tell you, he was on fire! He has so much energy, gets the crowd going, and truly understands your vision on your big day. My venue was at a barn, which isn't the easiest place to set up and he nailed it! Music sounded excellent, my husband and I and our families were dancing all night long! From the very first time I met Nick I was immediately drawn to his personality and knew that there was something special about Be The Good. On our first phone call we talked casually for almost an hour about music interests, my wedding vision, and how his creative mind could and would make our dream wedding come true. I thought he must have been too good to be true, but when we sat down for our jam sesh to choose our wedding music I could tell that my instincts had been 100% correct. DJ Nick was the BEST! I was introduced to Nick by my cousin who used him for her wedding, and from what I remembered, he was great then! Nick was super involved from the day we booked him up until the week of our wedding. We immediately clicked during our initial conversation and started talking music, interests, etc. and I could tell right then he was on to something! I am a music junkie and love ALL genres and Nick made sure to play all of my favorites! The dance floor was JAMMING the entire night. He had all age groups out there with classics from Frank Sinatra to Biggie Smalls. I think one of our groomsmen even tried to pay Nick extra at the end of the wedding to keep going! After our brainstorming meeting before the wedding, we left with full confidence that Nick was the perfect DJ for us. He really listened to my husband and me, kept our styles of music in mind and helped us to create the perfect playlist. My husband is from Louisiana, I’m from Jersey, and Nick really kept that in mind and had both of our friends and families on the floor all night playing classic songs from each state. Nick came highly recommended from the staff at the Mallard Island Yacht Club. Nick’s planning session was probably one of the most helpful meetings of the whole wedding planning process. Nick is a seasoned professional and made some excellent recommendations for our ceremony music and parent dances. He also respected our “must play” list and did an exceptional job at keeping the dance floor packed all night long. You can’t go wrong with Nick and the rest of the Be the Good crew. Nick, without a doubt, made our wedding day exactly what we dreamed of. Leading up to the wedding, Nick was quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had within an hour. He even went out of his way and drove almost 2 hours to meet us for our final meeting without any complaints. It is truly hard to put into words how great of an experience I had with Nick and Be The Good Inc. As music lovers, this was the one service that *if* I were to be a bridezilla about something, music would be it. Music is such a huge part of our everyday lives and it just sets the tone of our moods and emotions whether good or bad. I knew that having the right DJ was a top priority for us. Having been a very active member in the Dave Matthews Band fan community, I befriended Nick several years ago. Through his posts and reviews, I knew from afar that he was something special. The night of my wedding I admitted to him that as I admired his work from afar, I knew the moment I got engaged that I would be asking him to do our wedding. From our initial consultation, I knew he "got it". He interviewed us to get a better understanding of our wants and needs for he evening and took us under his loving wings! I received so many compliments from friends and family in regards to his spunky professionalism and solid flow for the evening. It. Was. Flawless. Any concerns I may have had were quickly swept away with his expertise. His suggestions were spot on with our expectations. I wish we could relive that night just to experience it all over again. He ROCKED our world with the perfect versions of our favorite songs; live, studio, even threw in a song from the "everyone will sit during this, Julia" list - just because he knew that artist was important to me on that very special night. Where do I begin?? Nick is absolutely amazing! I knew from the first time I met Nick he would be the Dj at our wedding. His personality, professionalism, and love for his business are just a few great qualities. Nick does not just want to come to your wedding and push play on songs. Simply put, Nick is an artist and the wedding is his canvas.

My first experience with nick was as a guest at a friends wedding. Before the Bride and Groom emerged from the back, I knew I'd have Nick as my MC. The energy in both rooms was inexplainable. As a musician and music fan, I experienced a variety of live events, but NONE can match the energy that Nick can bring!!! I feel as though the key to making my wedding a success was the time Nick put in before the event. The bride and I were in contact with him on the weeks prior discussing music choices and crafting an experience unique to us. It culminated with an hour long "creativity session" at which we had the opportunity to further disucuss our musical likes/dislikes and go over the final touches that would make our wedding special. The day of the wedding Nick available throughout the event to ensure everything was meeting expectations. I can't imagine my wedding without my bride or Nick's services.

If you are looking for a DJ who will provide an overall amazing atmosphere then Be The Good is the company to choose. It has been a few weeks since our wedding and our guests are STILL talking about how great the music was. Choosing the right entertainment for the wedding reception was a crucial decision for us. We wanted to ensure that the vibe of the night was upbeat, enjoyable and unforgettable for us and our guests. Nick allowed all of that to happen. From the beginning of the planning process we felt confident that he would help us celebrate our wedding exactly the way we wanted. He got to know us and was interested in learning how we wanted our wedding to flow (and not just in the music department). He made sure everything went perfectly. Nick payed close attention to our music preferences, but he also made sure he watched how our guests were reacting to the music in order to make the right musical selections that would keep everyone dancing the entire night!

My wife and I met Nick at the wedding road show on LBI. From the first time we met him we knew he was the right guy for the job! Nick got back to us right away and he was there for us through the process as we needed him. We met with him a few weeks prior to the wedding. The experience was great! We had a lot of fun figuring what music we wanted and mapping out our wedding night.
The wedding night was incredible from start to finish. Nick made sure all of our needs were met and then some. Everyone had such a great time singing and dancing. So many people told me after the wedding how much fun they had! If you are looking for an easy seamless experience this is the guy for you. You can tell Nick loves his job and is so comfortable doing what he does.

Nick was amazing! My husband and I didn't really know what we were looking for when we started researching DJs, but Nick was recommended to us by the wedding coordinator at our venue. As soon as we met with him, we knew we needed to have him MC our wedding. Nick is more expensive than some of the bigger companies, but it is worth spending the money...He does an amazing job getting people excited and on the dance floor, and playing a variety of music that appeals to your guests. The planning session with Nick really helped to alleviate any worries I had about the flow of the day, and he had great insight and recommendations for specific songs to play at different moments of the night. Nick found the perfect times in the night to personalize the music to what my husband and I love...he played everything from Muse, to Broadway, to songs written by and performed by some of my best friends. We had multiple guests tell us during and after the wedding how awesome our DJ was. We are very happy we went with Nick for our big day!

Nick is awesome! I have known him for many years while I workied in a place that he would DJ at quite frequently. So when it came time to plan our wedding there was no question who we were going to use for the music. When my husband first met Nick he was immediately hooked. So many of our guests came up to us and said it was the best wedding they have ever attended, so compliments to the chef and especially the DJ! Nick was initially helpful setting us up with Cris as the MC and his assistant. From there, Cris was nothing short of amazing. He's very quick to answer any questions you may have, easy to talk to and makes the music planning process simple. Initially, my husband and I didn't realize how many specific songs we need throughout the night for each pivotal moment: all the songs during the ceremony, what we leave the alter to, to all of the introductions during the reception. Cris made this easy.. He listened to us regarding what kind of music we like, and don't, and helped make our day very personal to us, yet fun for our guests. Music is what can make or break it.. And our dance floor was never empty! Everyone is still talking about how much fun they had at our wedding and the music selection was on point! He played a good mix of songs of what we requested, but was also able to read the crowd and play some big hits that everyone loved! Be The Good Inc is amazing and I cannot recommend them enough! Nick made sure we and our guests had the time of our life. Nick's much more than a DJ, and really controlled the whole flow of the wedding reception. He listened to us to make sure we had what we wanted, but he also has the experience to tell us what works at weddings and what doesn't. He asked for our music preferences and played exactly the type of music we wanted with a great mix of other songs as well to keep the people moving,. We met with him 3 times before the wedding, so we were very comfortable with how prepared he was for each of our meetings.

Cris Crapello from Be The Good Entertainment is pretty much the best DJ ever. Aside from just being a super nice guy, he also obviously enjoys what he does, and it shows in every aspect of his work. From the first time we met with him, I knew I wanted him to DJ our wedding. He took lots of time to get to know my husband and me and went to great lengths to understand us and our musical tastes. He did not try to push anything on us, but rather allowed us to determine the type of music and how we wanted the night to go. All night long, I kept getting compliments on how great the music was and what a great DJ we had found...and I had to agree! People did not stop dancing the entire time, and at the end of the night, when Cris announced that he was about to play the last song, the entire crowd on the dance floor collectively yelled out, "NOOOOOO!!" - and so he generously played one more song to extend the dancing just a little more :)Even a month later, people are still talking about our wedding and how it was one of the best (if not the best!) wedding they have been to, and I know that much of that is due to Cris and his work!

These guys could not possibly have made my wedding any more awesome. Cris knew the vibe I wanted, and he actively kept the room going all night... And he DEFINITELY knew what my wedding needed more than I did. All my guests raved about my emcee! Key word here is "emcee"... They didn't put up an iTunes playlist like so many wedding DJs do. They are active through the whole reception and play what they need to in order to keep your guests dancing and the flow they create in the room is flawless.

Cris and Nick worked with me every step of the way, gave me advice, and helped me coordinate all the little non-traditional details I wanted and it was more than perfect.

If you choose someone other than Be The Good for your big day, you're seriously selling yourself short.

The first time I met Nick I knew we were going to be in good hands. One of the things we loved was that he made the party about us personally. My wife and I are never the people that dance at weddings, but he had us on that Dance Floor for most of the night. After only a handful of meetings/calls/emails, Nick really knew what we were into musically and played a great selection of music that not only had us on the floor, but most of the people. Nick really is more than a DJ, he handles all the coordination with your wedding party and the venue team. Before I was even engaged, I knew I wanted Nick to be there for our big day. When looking for our DJ, my husband and I thought we might have a difficult time finding the right person. We wanted someone with energy, who also wouldn't be annoying; someone with wedding experience, but not a cheesy, melodramatic person; a great, comfortable voice; and someone who could understand us as a couple and our tastes but still add their own value. I have to say we hit the jackpot with Nick! (We hired him right before he began Be The Good).

Nick is the best in the business by far. The amount of time he spent with us was incredible. He is so personable, but truly wants to understand who you are both individually and as a couple so he can design your perfect reception. I use the word design intentionally because the music at our wedding truly was a work of art. He flawlessly blended new and old music to create an environment that had everyone from us to our 6 year old cousins to my 80 year old uncle out on the dance floor all night! He has the perfect voice for narrating your evening and encouraging everyone to enjoy the night. If ever I need a DJ in the future, Nick will be my first call and I would work my event around his schedule! If you are having a wedding in his area, the first person you call should be NICK!

Awesome DJ, even better person! I actually had to the pleasure of working with Nick for 2 family weddings. He was the DJ for my sister's wedding about 8 years prior to mine. We had so much fun dancing the night away at hers that when I got engaged, we didn't even look around -- we went right to him! Halfway through our engagement we were relocated out to California for work (our wedding was still in NJ) and Nick was such a great help planning long distance. He was always kind and especially enthusiastic anytime we spoke and always responded to my texts immediately. He made sure we were getting everything we wanted for our wedding music-wise and that we were knowledgeable about what we could have. We met with him a few weeks before our wedding and had such a good time going over songs to play at our wedding and what we did and did not like. He helped us choose our first dance and bridal party entrance songs which we had no clue what we wanted to be. His willingness to let us do pretty much anything we wanted to do with our music was exactly what we had hoped for in a DJ. The day of our wedding, he only had an hour or so to setup and everything was up and ready to go by the time we had arrived at the venue. He also worked well with our other vendors and was always courteous to our guests -- not to mention he is good at making you laugh! Nick is a good vibes only kind of guy and your family and guests will get that immediately after meeting him. Everyone said they had an awesome time at our wedding and danced the night away. When he announced the last song we couldn't believe it was already time to go because we were just getting started! We highly recommend Nick and if we could do it all over again with him as our DJ, we would!

My husband and I were married on October 18, 2014. Nick was recommended to us through a friend whose wedding I attended a few years prior to ours. The one memory I had from her wedding was that the dance floor was packed the entire night with smiling, dancing friends and family, which is exactly what we wanted for our special night. When we met with Nick for our initial consultation, he was very professional and created a fun environment that was easy for us to communicate our wedding vision. As soon as my husband and I got in the car we looked at each other and both said, "He has to be our DJ," and we booked him on the spot. This was one of the best decisions we could have made for our wedding day. As our wedding date got closer, we met with Nick again for three hours and he was able to help us blend our music styles and suggested a variety of songs that were meaningful to us and would keep our guests dancing all night long. We met with Nick and from the beginning we knew that he would make our wedding day special. He is really passionate about music and his job. At the first consult, where we discussed our music likes and dislikes, he really listened to us and was able to tailor our wedding play list to represent us as a couple. Not sure where to begin. But let me say to anyone reading this bride and/or groom that is currently underway with their wedding planning ( I was there not long ago) I know that I greatly relied on recommendations and reviews from other couples. If there is one thing I can help you check of your list of "to do's" (which I know is long!) is that of your wedding emcee/DJ. Before hiring Nick I was at an advantage that I had seen his work at other weddings. But seeing that, you may think, "well, is he going to make MY wedding different? unique? reflect us? The answer is YES, YES, YES! When you work with Nick he will make you feel like you are the only wedding on his plate. He does a wonderful creative session where he will truly get to know you as a couple, individually and really start customizing your wedding music as well as the "feel" you want throughout the event. There is a lot of coordination the day of that you as a couple do not want to worry about and Nick is great at reading the room and keeping the night moving smoothly. We can't say enough good things about Nick Cavaleri! A photographer recommended him to us because she used him for her wedding as well. Nick is very professional, fun, creative, outgoing, original, and just excellent at doing his job. Nick is an awesome emcee/dj. Almost 7 years prior to my wedding my sister used Nick for her wedding and he left such an impression she recommended him to us for our wedding. Not only that but my other family members used him for several other occasions. So we gave him a call and once we talked to him we were sold. Nick takes the time to get to know YOUR music tastes, not what's popular today. He helped us to find the perfect music for our ceremony as well as reception. In my opinion, a DJ will make or break your wedding and Nick by FAR exceeded our expectations and made our wedding day what it was. 5 years later people are still talking about our special day. From the minute we set up an appointment with Nick we knew we were in good hands. He wasn't like all the rest of the DJs we looked at; he had a very different approach and that's what we liked. He was extremely honest, professional and friendly from the second we met. He listened to our wishes in what we wanted out of our wedding day and he honored them. He made great suggestions to help make our day even more special. He paid a lot of attention to detail when it came to planning our day with us and I feel he went above and beyond what a "typical" wedding DJ would. I know they say a Mater Dei runs the flow of the wedding but I disagree, your DJ is the single most important part of your night. Nick made sure everything was in order and was streamline. Nick Cavaleri and his crew are nothing short of amazing. Nick didn't simply ask us what songs we wanted played, but took the time to get to know us personally, and took the time to learn about the people and things that were important to us, and made them a special part of our day. He truly went above and beyond to make sure that every aspect of our wedding that was in his control was perfect. He moved things along at a perfect pace, and never made things feel rushed. He kept the dance floor filled, and kept everyone going the entire night. Unlike (almost) every other DJ service, Nick did not use the day as a platform to advertise Be The Good, or to line up his next job...but with his hard work, dedication and sincerity, he earned several more jobs from various friends and family members after our wedding. Nick made out event spectacular! fro the initial meeting, to the last song played, he truly cared about our experience. I wish i could marry my wife again, every year, so we could have Nick NJ the wedding! No one does it better, period! I wish i had a mix tape from that evening, so could relive our memories with Nicks incredible music selection!

Nick Cavaleri was our wedding emcee and he was fantastic! From our first phone call to the day of our wedding, Nick was great to work with. I've always been that girl at parties throwing on her ipod/iphone and putting on her playlists, so music is something I'm really into and care a lot about. Everything that we discussed during our creativity session, he delivered to the wedding. From our ceremony, to our cocktail hour, to our reception...he handled the flow of it all. Nick is full of music knowledge, has a fun personality and was so easy to get a hold of and chat about anything that may have come up along the planning way. If you are really into music, trust this guy and you'll be so happy. He's wonderful and I highly recommend him to other couples!!

Having Nick as our wedding music and entertainment expert was one of the best decisions we made when it came to our wedding. Nick's enthusiasm, expertise and most of all professionalism won us over from the moment we met him. He is prompt to answer any questions or concerns you may have and makes you his first priority. We called Nick about a few things that came to mind during the wedding process and got an immediate response. So much was his experience that we left many of the music details up to him and he did not fail to impress! The guests had a blast! Dancing from beginning to end. Out of all the compliments we received from our wedding guests, the most repeated was "wow the DJ was amazing! He did such a great job!". I would never forget when it was time to start my walk down the aisle and there was Nick waiting for me to reach the perfect spot so he could cue his assistant to change the music. When that new song started I felt my heart come out of my chest, but throughout the emotions somehow I managed to smile just knowing he had nailed it! It was perfect! And you know what the best part of all of it was? it felt like Nick new exactly how it would play out, like he had done this exact same thing a hundred times! Definitely worth every penny we paid for his service. If you are looking for a reception/ceremony music and entertainment expert, you just found it. I cannot say enough good things about him.

From our first meeting with Nick, we were very impressed with his professionalism, and fun attitude. He listened to our wants, as well as, got to know our music tastes, etc... I think my husband could have talked to him for hours! He is very personable and honest. During one meeting, Nick got up and danced... like he was working out the music/feel to see if it would work!
The day of our wedding, he did not miss a beat! He was on top of setting up at the venue, the pronunciation of names, tunes, the flow of the room, and by the end of the reception, everyone was out on the dance floor, a large feet for a brunch wedding!
Nick was extremely helpful in putting our ideas together for our wedding day. I would highly recommend any soon to be bride/groom to hire Nick! He will not disappoint!

Nick was everything plus more that we could ever ask for. Even my aunt who lives in San Antonio, TX called me and asked about him! lol He is truly amazing and talented and sat down with us to personalize every detail of our wedding. He worked with the other venders as well to make sure nothing went without a hitch. We had our ceremony in the middle of a field next to a tree and he figured out how to hook up our minister to a microphone as well as play the music we personally chose for our ceremony. He has the music from our ceremony transition to where our cocktail hour was (all the way across the huge yard) perfectfully. I highly recommend BeTheGood for anyone who wants an awesome DJ who will keep your wedding amazing!!

Nick was a pleasure to work with. Specifically because you could tell he truly loves what he does. He listened to everything we wanted, but also had awesome suggestions and advice. He also was detail oriented - right down to the seconds I wanted songs to start and end for entrances, walking down the aisle, etc.

Nick Cavaleri was our wedding DJ and we could not have been happier with our choice. Nick was highly recommended by our awesome photographer. When we first met with Nick to go over the details for our wedding, we clicked right away. He knew what we were looking for and how to achieve it. We felt completely at ease with him and there was no question in our mind that he was going to be our wedding DJ. We had a planning session with Nick right before the wedding. This was the best part of the planning. Nick had so many ideas to share with us and he was able to figure out exactly what we wanted. We left that brainstorming session knowing exactly how our wedding was going to go from start to finish. He really took the time to get to know us as a couple and understand what we were looking for. We got so many compliments during our wedding and afterwards about the music choices. Everyone loved the music selection- young to old. We had some guests telling us that they felt like they were reliving their youth. Everyone had the best night and the dance floor was always packed. We are forever grateful that we found Nick and would highly recommend him!

My husband and I were referred to Nick through a friend who worked with Nick at the time. We attended a wedding where Nick was the Mc and the minute we stepped into the reception room, I knew that we would be booking him for our wedding. There was no questions asked. In fact he was the first person we contacted once we got engaged. And said ok we picked our date be available please. He was soooooo amazingly professional yet we literally felt like we have known him for years and our first meeting I believe we just sit and chatted for well over and hour if not more than 2. When it came time for our creative session we met at his studio which was beyond relaxing and chill that we literally just thought we were going to have some drinks at a friends house. We sat with Nick for over 2 hours and he went through everything from soup to nuts. He helped is choose songs that would make our day perfect. And when the day of the wedding came, it was just that PERFECT! Nick had not a single person sitting down, he was involved and danced and sang along with us on the dance floor. I can't even put into words how he has made our night perfect. Anyone who i know who is in need of a DJ or Mc I pull up his contact info and give it to them hands down no questions asked. We still get people a year later saying to us "who was that guy who was at your wedding he was amazing!" If I could give Nick 10+ stars I would. You can't make a better choice in having Nick and his company be the music to your wedding ❤️

Nick Caveleri ..... Basically all we can say about him is if you want your wedding to be remembered and no one to stop dancing... Book him right now!!! My husband and I were married May of 2012 and to this day people still rave about him. The main reason we chose him (besides the fact he's a DMB fan) was that from the start it wasn't about business... He made us feel as though he was really truly excited to be such a huge part of our day, and that he was! You need 3 things to make a wedding great 1- good music 2- good food and 3- good people. Nick was by far the best money spent out of all of our vendors!

Nick Cavaleri is an amazing and inspiring person. He picked out the best of the best for our best and most important day. Just after one sit down had he managed to already put together a magical play list that was sooo us! Our wedding was rocking and no one ever sat down! It was an awesome party and no one wanted it to end. What was more special and without even asking, Nick made us a CD of our playlist and handed it to us at the end of the night. On days where I need to feel the magic, remember the fun times, or just break out my tissues, I play my wedding CD!!! Gets me every time! He is awesome with the crowd and gets personal with the families on a real person to person level. If it's done it's because it was In his heart to do it, not just because it's part of a "package deal" or a typical rote memory prefab dance selection! He was referred to us by friends of friends who all used his services. Word of mouth is sometimes best, especially to trust such a special day with a special job to do. But being able to tell the wedding world and potential clients how wonderful Nick is is even better!!! Enjoy him we did, almost 6 years ago!!! Yours truly Susan and Tim Simon!!

Chris was great at our wedding. They were recommended by a friend and am so glad that we went with them. From the first call from Nick though the reception they did a great job. Chris took the time to meet with us to see exactly what we wanted and personalize our wedding prior to the event. He listened to our requests and gave great suggestions. He was easy to contact and was very responsive to our needs. Wedding planning is stressful but planning with these guys was a breeze. My receptions was great and I would definitely recommend this group without any hesitation.
