Amazing DJ!!!! Hire him! :)

Adrian was an amazing DJ - we had a blast and our guests had so much fun. He got folks dancing who had danced in years! Our families are Lebanese and Argentine, and the music really brought us all together! He was also very flexible and understanding for our unique requests. At the end of the night, he kindly extended his time by 30 minutes to help round out the evening. That was the perfect amount of time and a great way to end the night. Thank you Adrian!

Fun and one of a kind

Bay Area Beats was amazing. They played every song on our play list and it was always at the perfect time. They were super easy to work with and made our wedding of the best days. Just to add some character there was a table scratch on our first dance song and it gave the photographer a chance to take one of our favorite photos of the night.

The best in town!!!

Adrian took our wedding celebration to another level with his DJ services. He brought life to the reception party after our guests were tired and exhausted from our 2 ceremonies. He also helped us find live musicians for our American ceremony and helped us coordinate everything. He worked with our American Pop and Bollywood music preferences and smoothly transitioned between tracks where guests didn’t feel disconnected. We would recommend him to everyone for any event you like to hire his services

DJ Miguel Review for our Wedding 9/28/24

We couldn't have asked for a more professional yet fun and accommodating DJ. Our DJ (Miguel Garcia), was great! He made our ceremony run smooth, on time, from the time that we had booked him til the day of. We made custom playlists and he brought his own creative input to them as well! Bay Area Beats provided DJ services for our recent wedding. Adrian was outstanding to work with from start to finish. He always made us feel like we were his #1 priority, from answering our questions right away, to remembering details we'd told him about our preferences, to talking us through our options when we were being indecisive. He gave us great ideas for our ceremony and reception songs, worked with us extensively on the format of our wedding, and played the perfect playlist during the actual reception. He's also an awesome MC - he was funny and warm and just the perfect person to conduct the flow of the reception. Everything was flawless. I got so many comments from friends and family that we had picked the perfect DJ, and I could not agree more!

Adrian was my DJ/MC for my wedding this past weekend and he was amazing! I am so happy with his work and we had many guests complimenting his music. Everyone was dancing and having so much fun. Fantastic DJ and emcee!

Adrian was absolutely fantastic. From the beginning, he was communicative, professional, and easy to work with. He played all the music we wanted and went with the flow when unexpected changes came up during the wedding. I can’t recommend him highly enough!!

Adrian was totally professional and organized! He covered the music for our ceremony and our reception and nailed both. I provided him with a super crazy list of music genres and I was worried how it would go, but Adrian totally made it all flow. He played all the songs we requested and added several songs to fit our wedding vibe. As someone who got caught up in every little detail, I really liked having a detailed oriented DJ/MC! Prices are: Totally do-able/reasonable.. and he had additional lighting and microphones. If our shuttle had forgotten to pick us up from the reception we would have had no problem rocking out all night long!

Adrian is the BEST!

Adrian kept our dance floor going all night. We had a multi-cultural wedding, and he kept everyone involved and rocking out. Could not recommend him enough!

We had such an awesome wedding filled with really fun tracks that got our wedding guests dancing. Adrian was such a pleasure to deal with and was really accommodating with our song choices and set up. We're from Sydney and Adrian made it really easy to correspond with him and he always got back to me quickly if I had any questions.
I found Adrian to be really reliable, easy going and has great mixing skills with a huge range of music to choose from.
Thanks so much Adrian for making our Wedding day so much fun!

Roaring 20s Indeed!

Adrian was an amazing wedding DJ. He was very responsive and understood exactly what we wanted for our themed 1920s wedding. We provided a playlist and Adrian gave good suggestions for both cocktail hour and reception dancing. He even helped us get a saxophonist to play for our wedding as well! He knew exactly the vibe we were going for.

Mahalo DJ Adrian for providing the tunes for our wedding reception! He was one of the most affordable and reasonable-priced DJs out there, and we are glad we chose him. Adrian has a wide music collection of about 60,000 songs spanning the genres of disco, 80s, 90s hip hop, 2000s pop, and Top 40. We wanted to ensure that all of our guests had a great time dancing the night away. It was really easy to communicate with Adrian via email during the planning process, and he also checked in with us to make sure our playlist questionnaire and requests was filled up prior to our wedding day. We strongly recommend Adrian for all of your music needs!

We absolutely LOVED Adrian from Maui Beats! He did such an amazing job keeping the energy level high once it was time to dance. Adrian helped create the best night of our life

We worked with Adrian from Bay Area Beats.

Adrian was amazing in responsiveness throughout the process - making sure he got back to us within a few hours each time we reached out via email.

We had a wedding with people from many different countries attending and wanted a good mix of Indie pop for the cocktail and dinner at our wedding and a mix of American pop/hip hop + Bollywood + reggaeton for the party after dinner. Adrian did a phenomenal job covering and smoothly transitioning between all 3 - using the music to both get people onto the dance floor and keep them there. Adrian also did a really good job balancing requests from our guests while making sure to keep everyone entertained and playing our favorite songs.

Awesome DJ Service

Adrian was awesome. He is laid back but also extremely attentive and on top of it. We were able to make last minute adjustments and he worked with us on fly! We highly recommend Adrian for weddings or any other event!

Amazing Dj!

I could not have had a better experience with our dj choice! He was professional, organized and kept the night moving along smoothly! I loved the questionnaire that I filled out prior to the night that allowed for me to take as much control as I wanted. He completely understood the music genres we wanted and I would recommend him to anyone for their special day!

Adrian was a very nice guy to work with. We had him DJ for my wife's 30th birthday. He asked for artists that we liked to hear and from there made a very good playlist in regards to the music that we wanted to be played. He was also flexible enough to accommodate a dance instructor that we had set up and he worked with him in order to get the appropriate music for him to teach. He gave a great Kamaaina discount for us that helped our already stretched out wallet. He is a personable guy that makes the occasion something to remember!

Great service!

Adrian was great. We hardly saw him the day of with the craziness of being the bride & groom but he took our music desires for the reception and turned it into a total reality. Everyone of all ages was out on the dance floor. I would definitely recommend his services to anyone!!

Adrian was a great addition to our wedding. We had to add him to the line up at the last minute and he did an amazing job of playing the music we requested and ensuring he coordinated with the other musicians during the ceremony, the dinner and the reception. He was well priced and provided good value for what he delivered. I would reccomend him for weddings or any othe occassion you have planned that requires DJ services.

Adrian responded quickly when I inquired about his services for our wedding, which to me is a huge plus when choosing vendors. Since we were very particular as to what type of music was played, Adrian let us provide him a list of songs (all electronic), which he downloaded and mixed for the reception. He arrived early on the day of the event and was very nice and professional. I would definitely recommend Adrian for weddings and really any type of party. He reads the crowd and plays what will keep people on the dance floor! Thank you, Adrian!

Adrian was awesome! He DJ'ed for a private birthday event and the music rocked! Very upbeat and varied and interesting, with a few smashing tracks thrown in. Cool guy too, very laid back, friendly.

Adrian was fantastic at both of our events. He was really responsive to our requests and all my guests loved the music selections. I got multiple comments on how "into it" the DJ was and what a good time he was having. He really made our wedding a party! Could not recommend him enough.

The most important thing at our wedding was that our guests spent the night dancing away and having fun. Adrian made sure this happened and everyone had a great time. He played all of the songs that my husband and I requested and added more of his own that totally fit in with the night. Friends and family kept telling me their legs hurt the next day because they were all dancing so much! I would definitely recommend Adrian for your Maui wedding! Mahalo!

great attitude

The great thing about Adrian besides playing all the songs we wanted, was his ability to swing with things as the evening went on. When we wanted a certain song played he was ready. Great attitude, ability to read the crowd, and to keep everything fun and exciting. Also his suggestions as to songs were great.

Excellent DJ!

Adrian was the DJ for our wedding and did an amazing job! First off, he is very professional and I felt at ease as he asked very detailed questions about the setup, locations, speakers and music preferences. We had live music and Adrian worked with our wedding planner to make this go off without a hitch. He got the vibe right and the dance floor moving, I highly recommend Bay Area Beats!

We used Bay Area Beats as the DJ for our wedding and they were great! We asked them if it was possible to share the stage with a live band and the DJ was very accommodating of our needs. Our DJ was awesome and played only the music we wanted him to play. High recommend using them!!!

Excellent DJ/MC Service

Looked around for a DJ for our wedding in 2020. Adrian met our budget and had good reviews. Our wedding had to be postponed for a year due to the pandemic. Adrian followed up with us and kept everything that was initially agreed upon. Our DJ was Alex Storm who did a great job for the ceremony/cocktail hour/reception! Pretty much played and did everything that we requested from him without any issues. The sound quality was great. The up lights provided by them really set the mood of the venue and looked very nice!

Adrian from Maui Beats did an exceptional job for our wedding reception! We didn't have a large "must play" or "do not play" list and struggled to define our music expectations. Adrian provided helpful guidance and tips so he could ensure that the music he played would be enjoyed by all of our guests and us. Adrian mixed in music requested by our guests and everyone had a great time. We definitely recommend Maui Beats!!

Responsive and easy to work with

I was a total newbie when it came to needing a DJ and really wasn't sure what I needed exactly. Adrian was awesome--patient, answered all my questions and was flexible and forgiving when I had to switch some stuff mid way.

Great wedding DJ! Super responsive and very reasonably priced

Adrian did an amazing job as our wedding DJ! He was responsive, professional and really easy to work with. He played a great set of songs that our guests enjoyed and kept the energy on the dance floor fun all night. He also worked really well with our other vendors to keep things running smoothly all night through announcements and music changes. I would highly recommend Bay Area Beats DJs for your wedding!

Exceptional performance and communication

The communication back and forth leading up to the wedding was great and Adrian always made himself available to help us when we had questions. His dedication is unmatched and his prep work showed as the wedding itself went extremely smoothly.

We are so happy that we chose Adrian / DJ Maui Beats for our wedding reception! From the start he was genuinely interested in what we wanted for our wedding and catered to our needs. We planned our wedding in a matter of a few months and one of the last things we thought to book was a DJ. Knowing the urgency we felt to get a DJ booked, Adrian assured me that he was available for my date and accommodated my needs. He was very affordable in comparison to other Maui DJ's, he has excellent equipment / sound system, and was very entertaining! I appreciate his timely communication about timeline, song list / choice, introduction of the wedding party, MC-ing on the day of our wedding. Our guests are still talking about how awesome the music selection was and how much fun they had on the dance floor. Above all, I appreciate Adrian's professionalism. During the wedding process, I worked with vendor(s) who appeared more concerned with how they would benefit from providing their services. These vendor(s) forgot that the wedding is about the bride and the groom. Adrian made the evening 110% about my husband and I. We are over the moon with choosing Adrian Blackhurst as our wedding DJ. He provided the most spectacular atmosphere with excellent sound systems and even threw in extra lighting for our event!

Adrian was extremely helpful in downloading all the suggested tracks and music for our wedding.. He is clearly very passionate about his work and was really getting into creating a perfect busy dance floor!

Also to top off his excellent service, Adrian was also so fairly priced and matched our budget!

Adrian took the time to meet with me prior to my wedding reception to listen to my needs and we made the music playlist that my husband and I wanted at our reception. Adrian was an excellent DJ and so nice to work with. He was so helpful before the wedding and so flexible with our timeline. Adrian did a great job for our wedding. He did ceremony music, as well as the reception. He was easy to work with, responsive and did a great job. Our 20 guests ranged in age from 23-75 and we danced the night away. There's nothing like watching your 75 year old Grandmother dance until she can't dance anymore! He kept the party going and had great suggestions for music. We had some weather surprises and despite Tropical Storm Wali, everything went off without a hitch!

Adrian was very professional, patient and was willing to take the time to make our day everything we ever dreamed of! He sat with me and went over all the songs I wanted to hear at our wedding. He downloaded additional songs that I wanted to be played. He went the extra mile for us. He has a great demeanor and voice for being a DJ, not too loud but gets the party going. I really enjoyed working with Adrian, I feel that he cares about making your special day what you want rather than what he wants. A good and hard to find trait in some DJ's. Maui Beats/ Adrian was by far the best wedding DJ that i have heard before. The music and the atmosphere was great. Asked for a playlist and type of music we wanted and he knocked it out of the park. All the guests asked if there would be a mix tape our CD for the wedding. I recommend Maui Beats to anyone getting married in Maui. He will not let you down.

Adrian was everything I could want for my event. He was pleasant, professional and prepared with all of our favorite songs, and he confidently went with the flow of the dance crowd.

He took extra time to assure me everything would go great and it definitely did! I would highly recommend Adrian as he is easy to communicate with and a top notch Dj for any event and any age group from young to old!

Adrian did an awesome job at my wedding reception.His service was great, he was already set up and ready half an hour prior to the start of reception so his timing was perfect. I did feel a little bad for him and the rest of my reception because none of my programs made it to the venue! (they were all forgotten at the hotel), but Adrian did a very good job with following our scratch paper timeline that we briefly made out from our one on one meeting the day before. He responded quickly and professionally to all my emails and phone calls, and was very patient with me! For what he provided for me (dj, sound system, MC) I think he was very affordable and also willing to work with any budget! Adrian was great and I highly recommend him for future weddings!

Adrian was awesome. He DJ'ed our wedding to the tee.

His prices are very affordable, is very good on getting back to you, and will help you and choose great songs if you need more songs for the wedding.

The only downside was his projector wasn't the latest and greatest, so when we had a slideshow, the images were a little blurry. Other than that, we were very happy choosing Maui Beats!

The stress in planning for a wedding can be extremely frustrating and taxing. Fortunately, my husband and I selected a DJ (Adrian from Maui Beats) that was great to work with, not to mention accommodating to our needs. Mr. Blackhurst was a lifesaver. For my birthday extravaganza he came prepared with an assortment of pre-planned music that fit my musical tastes. He’s obviously been around the block as he knew the space he was Dj’ing in and how to set the speakers accordingly for great sound. Not only culturally speaking did he have a variety of interesting worldly music, but he knew my musical tastes which made it easy! Thanks for being there in a pinch Adrian!

If you want someone to play the same songs, in the same order, as every wedding you've ever been to, then Adrian is not your DJ. He manages the crowd, hosts, acts as an emcee, and makes sure that your event is both memorable in the moment, but also the event where people talk about it long after the party is over. We needed someone to host and manage a great party (our wedding) and the last thing we wanted was a reception that everyone else put on. Adrian led the charge in making our event sparkle, for a highly unusual first dance, that involved perfect timing of the music, to games and events for which Adrian set the musical tone and acted as the emcee and host. Great DJ, but only if you want to have a completely awesome event, rather than the wedding your mother-in-law would design.

Great DJ services. At first it wasn't sure if Adrian was available but he changed his schedule to play at our wedding. Once we had agreed on price everything went smooth, he paid attention to our input, showed up on time with lots of positive energy. His equipment is state of the art and he provide a good service at a good price.

Adrian was very helpful and prepared for the day. It rained, but he tried his best to keep the party going. All songs that I needed were there, music lists prepared etc. I did miss alot of the actual dj'ing due to having to be inside during the rain but the guests said they really liked him, requests were played and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The ceremony music was played great, no hiccups. I would recommend Adrian to friends and family and the guests at our wedding said they enjoyed him as well.

Bad product

I think this guy works well for a lot of people, but he was not great at my wedding. Mics didn't work at ceremony or reception. List goes on. Sorry bud. But I want people to know my event did not go well. We had our wedding at the top of a little hill and there were apparently a lot of signals going around that interfered with the mic connection. But I feel like if they had scouted the area they would have seen this as a possible issue and had options.

Different, not great experience

While we were originally sold on the amazing reviews others have provided for Bay Area Beats DJ and Adrian we do not share the same experience. We had to practically force a pre meeting 2 days prior to our wedding after Adrian rescheduled and changed the meeting 3 times. During the wedding, he did not follow our song list for our ceremony processional complaining that we did not have a day of coordinator when myself (bride), MOB, MOH, and MOG were readily available. He missed multiple queue points, and even read the wrong names off of the music form that he required we have filled out which was filled out completely and correctly. He did not follow the vibe of the crowed or encourage any excitement. Multiple times I had to ask him to switch songs as swarms of people left the dance floor. While we understand our wedding fell during busy season and while he had personal things happening, we did not experience much professionalism. We would have much preferred being paired with another DJ with the company as it was much of a seemingly inconvenience for Adrian.
