We were so fortunate to be able to hold our wedding at the Gettysburg Battlefield B&B. It was important for us to find a location that was gay friendly. This place met that desire. Connie, our event coordinator was great to work with throughout the entire planning process. She and her staff were very accommodating and made sure that all of our guests were comfortable despite the extreme heat. Connie took care of last minute details with the other vendors so we knew that things would go off without a hitch. The price was fair for all of the amenities. We enjoyed going straight from our ceremony to cocktail hour in the garden and then the reception all in one location. We could not have been happier with our experience and would definitely recommend to other couples looking for a venue.Battlefield Bed and Breakfast's reply:

Wow - the historic venue of my dreams
The entire team of B3 was fantastic from our first tour until the morning after.
Connie took the time to not just hand us a list of preferred vendors but understand our dream for the wedding and give us tailored recommendations.
We had no needs from day before wedding when we arrived at 10 am to a fully decorated barn and beautiful rooms for all (don’t even think of not staying on site).
The full team rolled with all the punches with calmness making me unusually calm wedding day. Things went wrong, but no one let it effect my peace, wedding dreams, or happiness.

It was so magical celebrating with you two and your families. Thank goodness everyone had such a wonderful sense of humor when the radar was wrong and the skies opened 30 minutes early! We were so grateful that you two and your guests were so "in the moment" of the celebration that the last minute changes didn't affect the atmosphere of the event and everyone still got to enjoy an energetic night of dancing and love!!! A wedding for the history books! -

Battlefield Bed & Breakfast Wedding
A big thank you to Connie and her staff at the Battlefield Bed & Breakfast! We had the most perfect day there in October. After looking into several other options, I knew we would be in the best hands after seeing this place. The time, attention and detail put into our ceremony exceeded our expectations. We just got married here and I can’t recommend it enough. Great location, beautiful inside area, outside garden area and beautiful architecture, plenty of parking, beautiful view. It was my dream venue and I’m in love with it. The staff is amazing and was so helpful the entire way through. They also work with a lot of great vendors that they recommend to you. Stop your search! This is the place! It is beautiful, cozy, and the staff is absolutely amazing. We had the absolute most perfect day here and so much of it had to do with the staff making sure each detail was special.Battlefield Bed and Breakfast's reply:

Made us feel like family
Perfect to host an entire wedding weekend. It was really important for us to have everyone on site together to relax and celebrate over a holiday weekend. We were able to do a welcome event with ghost stories around the fire the first night. Everyone morning at breakfast the guests and our kids were able to enjoy the company and historical demonstrations. The wedding itself was beautiful and went smoothly but I think what really makes them special is their ability to make an entire weekend run smoothly and to let everyone relax together. I came out of the weekend super relaxed because of the atmosphere they provide at their little oasis.Battlefield Bed and Breakfast's reply:

I wish I could give more than 5 stars to Connie, the staff, and this venue! We eloped in the Spring of 2021 at this farm, and also just had our delayed reception here in Fall of 2021. The farm is beautiful, comfortable, and memorable. Connie and the staff, are extra awesome and the icing on the cake. Highly recommend - you will have everything just as you want it with smiles and positive energy every step of the way.Battlefield Bed and Breakfast's reply:

My husband and I just eloped. We had the most amazing wedding at the battlefield bed and breakfast. Connie and the rest of the staff went above and beyond and are very personable. The entire experience was true fairytale. The grounds are so secluded and romantic while also being so close to everything! This place was like a hidden treasureBattlefield Bed and Breakfast's reply:

What a perfect Venue for our Vow Renewal getaway and Ceremony. Debbie and Florence were easy to work with and helped us bring to Life exactly what we had envisioned for our memorable, one in a Lifetime 10th Anniversary.
The Bed and Breakfast welcomed us as soon as we stepped through the door! The Staff met our every need in a simple, unimposing manner. The aroma of the outstanding Breakfasts filled our room each morning and was such a pleasant way to wake up.
There was a daily morning Historian who spoke each morning and gave us insight to Gettysburg. Mid-afternoon freshly baked goodies awaited us with Apple cider. And in the early evening, there was a Wine Social in the parlor, which was a perfect was to start our nightly activities.
We would highly recommend this Venue as the perfect choice for a Wedding.Battlefield Bed and Breakfast's reply:

As a place to stay:
The Battlefield Bed and Breakfast is perfection. The decor is charmingly warm, rustic, and historic. There are a variety of rooms to fit any family or group size. A historical morning lecture is included in your stay (we loved the presentation by Steve Gunlock) followed by the most delicious breakfast you’ve ever had. Want to make friends? Stop by in the evening during social hour for a chat and a glass of local wine! Animal lover? The B+B is dog friendly and home to a slew of rescue cats and horses! Every time we’ve stayed here it’s been a relaxing and wonderful experience- and we’ll continue to stay there whenever we’re in Gettysburg!
As a Wedding Venue-
WOW. The grounds are stunning. The property has lots of spaces (fields, gardens, a solarium, a historic barn) that you can use for different elements of your wedding. We used the beautiful wedding garden for our ceremony, the deck and solarium for our cocktail hour, and the barn for our reception and the farewell brunch the following morning. The staff was amazing. You couldn’t wish for a harder working, kinder, more lovely bunch of people to be around on your special day (or weekend in our case). They worked so hard and were so great to us and all of our guests. We had our closest friends and family book out the entire B+B for the weekend, so they really had their hands full with us! Every moment was magical. Don’t hesitate to check out this venue- once you do, I know you’ll fall in love like we did!Battlefield Bed and Breakfast's reply:

We got married at the Battlefield Bed and Breakfast. Debbie was incredible to answer any questions and to help with any part of the wedding. On the day of the wedding Debbie, Connie, and the staff were so easy to work with, and helped make the whole experience as stress free as a wedding can be. The staff really did make you feel like you were a part of the family. The day before the wedding we were permitted to come and drop off everything that we needed for the wedding and begin setting up. The barn is absolutely beautiful, to the point where very little decor is required. We had the DJ (Then We Danced), lights, tables with tablecloths, chairs and more all included in the price along with two night stay for two rooms. We found this to be the most beautiful and the best valued venue.

My husband and I had a perfect wedding day. I can actually say it was perfect because of Battlefield Bed and Breakfast. The staff was absolutely fabulous. The owners, Debbie and Florence, met with us a few times before our wedding weekend to go over details and help make sure we were on the right track for planning. On our wedding weekend, the amazing staff members were there to help us decorate, show us to our beautiful rooms, answer any questions, and were just *there* to help us with anything Friday. On The Day Of, we had support and help from wake up until the final guest left. We were able to relax and enjoy every moment without worry about any of the technical details (we didn't even have to clean up the reception area after the party! The employees gathered everything for us and took care of it!). They also have AMAZING breakfasts!! I can't say enough about how much I loved having my wedding at Battlefield Bed and Breakfast. It was truly the perfect day which was purely because of the amazing, caring, loving people at Battlefield Bed and Breakfast. -

Warm and Welcoming
Battlefield B&B is full of people who want you to have a good time. Debbie worked really hard to ensure we got the package we wanted and that our guests were accommodated in ways that they all felt happy with. Staff was always ready to jump in and help and they checked in with us throughout our prep. The wedding was beautiful and enjoyable, and surprisingly stress-free. I was planning from California and could only come by once before the wedding so having Deb be prepared for us was a huge lifesaver. I absolutely recommend BB&B for cozy weddings. -

Joanna Sent on 06/18/2017You might get more bells & whistles with other barn venues in the area (like Ironstone Ranch- a/c, horsedrawn carriage, etc); but at Battlefield, you get a second home. This place is a little more rough around the edges (had to make sure all the bird poo was cleaned out of the barn before our reception, and there will most likely be farm cats strolling down the aisle during your ceremony)- but that's because this place is authentic. For the price that you pay elsewhere for one day, you get the entire weekend here- and this was invaluable to our wedding running as smoothly as it did. Not only were we able to set up and decorate the Friday before our wedding, but all our friends were able to stay with us all weekend, joining us for the rehearsal dinner on-site as well as breakfast Sunday morning. Debbie was so sweet, helpful and accommodating, no matter what my question or need was. And of course, the venue itself is gorgeous- beautiful open fields, trees, flowers and the historic barn- all so photogenic. Worth every penny. -

Emily Sent on 12/05/2017We knew that this was the place for us the moment we met with Debbie and found out how much we were getting for the cost. Very few venues allow you to have run of the entire venue for 48 hours!!! We never felt rushed and were able to soak in every aspect of our big weekend. It was so wonderful to have our closest friends and family with us the entire weekend. Debbie was lovely to work with - although sometimes slow to respond or a little indirect - however, once we addressed this with her she was very flexible. Some of the B&B staff could've been more friendly (namely Jeremy, who was in charge the night before our wedding) he didn't seem to really know what was going on or seem interested/involved. But otherwise everything could not have been better. We are very pleased and would recommend this venue to any couple who is looking to create a memorable weekend.
