Simply, the best!

I just had my wedding at The View at the Battery (April 2025) and cannot recommend them enough! Libia is an ANGEL. She is so sweet and professional and she (and her whole team) will make sure your day runs perfectly. Everyone was raving about the food and the venue space. It is simply the perfect space for a Manhattan wedding at a very reasonable cost (compared to other places). Thank you, Libia & Team! You made our day perfect and we are forever grateful!

The Perfect Venue--The View

First, I would like to say thank you so much to Kevin, Libia, Emma, Victoria and Elizabeth. You were all so amazing and I apologize for my late post.

My husband and I tied the knot on October 3rd, 2024. This was our second choice and I am glad we went with it. Kevin was professional and listen to our needs. The location of The View was perfect. I have to say my husband fell in love with it first. The vintage look is what attracted him to it. The food was delicious. I have to say cocktail hour was the best. Our cake was delicious. The only downside is there is no parking but there are many parking garages near by. I suggest you do your research and make sure you ask the parking garages what time they close so it doesn't become a problem for your guest when its time to go home. I learned one closed early before the wedding date so I made sure my guests avoided that one .

Our ceremony was done inside and located on the second floor. Our cocktail hour was on the first floor and it was a combination of inside and outside the venue. Our reception was back to the second floor. There is a bridal suite but make sure you ask if you can have your make up and hair done. I was told no but then they changed their mind which saved me money from renting a room at a hotel. I would say that is my only criticism.

Overall, I am forever grateful the wedding went smoothly. I highly recommend this venue for any event you have in mind. All the staff were super friendly and that is a huge plus for me. One side note, this vendor has more than one location in case you want to see what they look like. Their prices were reasonable and they work with you. When you do book with them you will get a chance to sample their food as your wedding day approaches. Of course, you can visit their restaurant anytime to try their food.

Great venue in downtown NYC

My wife and I got married here a year ago. Nikki was professional and made sure we were taken care of. All of our guests raved about how amazing the food was. They worked well with our wedding planner and made it a very seamless event. My wife and I lived our best lives that day.

Best Venue in NYC!

Truly the best venue in NYC! Booked 10 months before our wedding and it was such a seamless process throughout. Nikki is the best person to help with any of your wedding needs and truly made me feel calm and taken care of the entire time. She was very responsive to all of my questions and was so caring in our wedding. Went through everything clearly during the tasting and the rehearsal and was a rockstar at the wedding! They made us a plate of appetizers for right after the ceremony and Nikki came to make sure if we wanted anything else and brought us some more of the passed around foods that weren't plated yet. Truly the best day of our lives and such an incredible venue. The food was delicious and people got so full during cocktail hour that they forgot there was also a dinner! The cake they provide was beautiful and tasty. There was construction on the pier outside the venue, but wasn't noticeable on the balcony and still had a fantastic view and pictures. The pricing was also the best in the city and they were very flexible with last minute changes.

Excellent experience!

My husband and I held our wedding reception at The View in March of 2023, and could not have been happier with the experience! From initial consultation to the actual day, Nikki and her team did everything imaginable to make us feel comfortable, relaxed, and cared for. Nikki is extremely personable and organized—you can tell she’s an absolute professional at handling every imaginable wedding detail! From the moment we booked the venue, she was super attentive and responsive to any questions or emails (I even noted some very late-night email replies and wondered when she sleeps!). It’s no secret to most brides, the closer to your wedding date, the more stressful and overwhelming all the nitty-gritty details become. At our final meeting before the wedding, Nikki confidently reassured me that on the day of our rehearsal and final drop off to the venue, there would be nothing left to stress about. It was exactly the pep-talk I needed at the time, and she could not have been more accurate! The entire event ran seamlessly. If you’re looking for an amazing cocktail hour—look no further! The food was absolutely delicious and our guests still mention how great the lobster rolls were months later. Our photos came out beautiful, and while the waterfront is gorgeous, we also have incredible portraits in Battery Park with the Freedom Tower as our backdrop. When all was said and done, it felt like we had a trusted friend looking out for us on our wedding day. 10 out of 10, would recommend having your NYC wedding at The View!!

Amazing venue and experience!

From day 1, Nikki and the staff at The View were wonderful to work with. They were incredibly helpful, transparent, and genuinely invested in making sure our wedding day was perfect. Nikki answered all of our questions quickly and provided guidance when we weren’t sure on something. The food was delicious and the whole day flowed seamlessly thanks to Nikki and everyone at The View.

1,000,000 out of 10 - The Perfect NYC Venue!

There will never be enough words to describe how absolutely amazing our wedding experience was at The View at The Battery - from initial planning through to the actual day. My husband and I really had our hearts set on getting married in the city but when we started looking at venues, really did not think it was going to be possible to find a place that offered everything we were looking for, was high quality AND within our budget but The View at The Battery changed everything! The space is beautiful, the food is beyond words, the service is 5 stars and the team you will work with is the best of the absolute best in NYC!!! Kevin, Nikki, and their whole team were so incredibly kind to us from the very start and made the whole planning process so incredible easy. They were SO accommodating, honest, transparent, and thoughtful every step of the way. The team went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed/wanted (no matter how big, like a swap in the menu or how small, like helping family members with directions) and made sure that, not only did my husband and I have an amazing day, but also that all of our guest did as well! All of our friends and family have been to many, many weddings in their lives, and nearly two weeks later, they are all still talking about how amazing all the staff was and that they are still dreaming about the cocktail hour and dinner meal!! All of our wedding dreams came to life thanks to Kevin and his team. I truly cannot ever say enough good things about The View at The Battery and we will be forever grateful to them for all they offered and did to make our day a perfect dream come true. Dream NYC wedding!

My husband and I got married at The View in September 2022 and it was an absolute DREAM! From our first meeting with Kevin, we knew we were going to be in excellent hands as we embarked on wedding planning and he continuously proved us right in that regard. Kevin was extremely attentive and detail oriented (which, as a Type A person and bride, I really appreciated) and ensured we had everything down to the last detail ironed out ahead of the big day.

The weekend started with a beautiful rehearsal accompanied by champagne and other cold beverages for our family and wedding party. The day of the wedding went by a mile a minute but Kevin and Nikki were there moving everything along without a hitch. My husband and I greatly appreciated having a few minutes to ourselves post-ceremony in the bridal suite, and Kevin and Nikki made sure we got to taste everything from the cocktail hour during our time together.

Everyone raved about the all food and drinks and desserts, and we were able to schedule everything so that we had a 2 hour dance party at the end of the night! It really was everything we had hoped it would be and more.

We looked at several venues around NYC and The View was by far the most transparent about pricing as well; something anyone can appreciate when planning a wedding! We were able to budget everything down to the dollar including taxes, gratuities, etc. which really helped ease some of our stress.

Honestly if we could get married a second time we absolutely would; but in the meantime we look forward to many anniversary dinners there for years to come.

Affordable! Accommodating! Flexible! Beautiful!

Affordable! Accommodating! Flexible! Beautiful! This venue is absolutely amazing - like out of this world, make your wedding dreams come true AMAZING!!! We weren't sure our NYC dream wedding was in our budget but after our first meeting with Nikki at The View, we knew it was the place we had been looking for. Nikki answered EVERY single one of my questions (I mean every email, every text and every phone call) in the year leading up to our wedding and offered her suggestions when we weren't sure about certain things but she also respected and honored our vision from the beginning and worked with us from the second we first viewed the venue to the second we were leaving at the end of our wedding. Our guests could NOT stop talking about the food, the location, the drinks - everything!! I still can't believe how lucky we were to find this place. If we could get married here every year we would because we were so stress free the entire planning period and felt like we had the support of Nikki the whole time. I even asked her if she thought I would need a day of coordinator and she said that she would handle everything. I was worried about leaving her with too much but she took care of it. Her and her team put out all of our individual place cards, put our family pictures in the picture frames and found a holder for our drink sign that had broken. They also packaged EVERYTHING up (I'm talking BOXES of decor) and put it all back how we originally brought it the day before. When we came for the rehearsal the day before, our guests were treated to champagne and cold drinks and welcomed like family. Nikki helped me gather everyone I needed for our formal pictures after the ceremony and made sure everyone knew where they were supposed to be and when. She was EXCEPTIONAL and helped us bring our wedding vision to life. We handled most of the décor portion ourselves (centerpieces, florals, arch, décor) and she worked with us the whole time to make sure it all came together how I pictured it. I would recommend this place to everyone!! Our guests still haven't stopped talking about our wedding 2 months later and it's all thanks to Nikki and her team.

We had such a completely wonderful experience with Masterpiece Caterers and Kevin/Nikki. Kevin was so incredibly helpful to us in all aspects of planning our wedding and was there every step of the way to help us with questions. We had our wedding at The View at the Battery which was a beautiful venue; the staff was professional and our ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. Nikki was on-site on our wedding day and she was great to work with; she made sure the night ran smoothly and was very available to us. We can't recommend Masterpiece Caterers highly enough!

Excellent Service

I am so grateful and appreciative for everything that Kevin and Nikki did for me to make my wedding such a beautiful event and a smashing success. We were supposed to get married at Central Park and the reception was at The View. The weather wasn't going to cooperate and the day before the ceremony, Kevin suggested holding the ceremony at The View just in case. We had to move some things around, but if it wasn't for his professionalism, flexibility, his stray strong attitude and most importantly his sincere feelings on wanting my day to be so special, I wouldn't have known what I would've done or how it was going to turn out. Could I risk everyone getting rained on in Central Park? He said "no, that's not going to happen, we will have the ceremony here and everything will be fantastic!" He was so right, everything was beautiful and my guests still contact me to tell me that my wedding was on of the best weddings they ever attended. Not only is the venue beautiful, the food was absolutely amazing. My vendors even contacted me after the wedding to say what a great time they had at my wedding. Please check out The View at Battery Park for a first class reception and ask for Kevin and/or Nikki. You won't be sorry. Every detail was perfect and they handled everything that had to change at the last minute with such ease and professionalism. Aside from saying "yes" to marrying my husband, this was the best decision I made regarding my wedding. I have the utmost gratitude and offer my sincerest thanks towards Kevin, Nikki and Alec. Thanks again for all of you for making my day so special and one that not only myself and my husband will fondly remember, but my guests as well. A Perfect Venue

The location itself is stunning and was a truly amazing place for our cocktail hour, just as the sun was setting over the Harbor. But the food and Nikki, the coordinator, were in a class of their own and made the reception better than we could have imagined. The food was abundant and flawless - many of our guests reached out days after to say it was the best food at a wedding that they have had. And Nikki was simply amazing in communicating with us, being flexible at every turn even as we were planning with only two months in advance, and was everywhere on the evening. Can't say enough, but it was a dream and we are very grateful for a perfect evening.

Incredible Wedding Venue with Exceptional Hospitality

Finding Kevin and his excellent team at The View at the Battery was a dream come true for us because we were so excited about the idea of getting married in the neighborhood that we live in (and met in). From day one, Kevin was an incredible resource: highly responsive, very professional, extremely accommodating, and exceptionally kind. Kevin's MO is to operate his business with warmth, recognizing the importance of people's wedding days, and we felt that throughout the entire wedding planning process. The day of our wedding, Kevin and Nikki handled absolutely everything for us, without us worrying about a thing (even inclement weather, that of course hit right when the ceremony was to start!). Although our ceremony ended up being held inside (we had planned to hold it outside), the ceremony looked stunning from the second floor of the venue, where big glass windows captured the beauty of the stormy skyline and the Statute of Liberty in the background, with beautiful floral arrangements and curtains in the foreground. The whole day feels like a blur, but throughout the experience we felt so well taken care of--as did all of our guests, who raved about the incredible cocktail hour, seated menu, and drinks. We are so glad to have worked with Kevin and Nikki, and we look forward to visiting The View's restaurant many times in the future as old friends.

Best experience, best food.

I cannot speak highly enough of our experience with having our wedding at the View at Battery Park. Kevin, Nikki and his entire team went above and beyond to make our wedding the best night of our lives, and our guests are still raving about food. We had been told that Masterpiece Caterers (who owns and caters out of the View) had the best food in the wedding game in NYC, and I can say that those rumors were absolutely true. SO MUCH FOOD, and the quality was like having a reservation at a high end restaurant.

Kevin Mattner, who runs the events at Masterpiece/The View was a true professional from our first interaction. He was more than fair and accommodating when we asked for any special request. He was flexible with scheduling, and nearly always available when we needed to talk to him. I don't know many people in ANY industry who are so accessible and communicative. He made our entire experience easy, which is hard to do while wedding planning during a global pandemic.

We are so happy that we chose Masterpiece Caterers, The View, and Kevin Mattner. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have worked with the best in the wedding industry.

Stunning Waterfront Views and Great Service

We got married at The View at Battery Park September 2021. It was a perfect day thanks to Nikki and her team. I started to panic before the wedding that I should have hired my own day of coordinator but there was no need to worry because Nikki had it covered. She was the perfect mix of calming energy but also on top of everything- it allowed me to relax and have fun! She put aside food for us at the cocktail hour and even bustled my dress (which gave my mom relief). I can not compliment her enough! Every (slightly control freak) bride's dream!

The venue itself was great as well. We received several compliments on the food, drinks/bar service and of course the beautiful location (the perfect weather and sunset cocktail hour helped!). Food highlights for me were the lobster rolls at cocktail hour and the fact that all the beef tenderloins at dinner were a perfect medium rare. The venue worked with us to be flexible and accommodating which is so important planning a wedding during these times. Highly recommend The View!

August 2021 Wedding at The View

We are so grateful that we found Masterpiece Caterers. From our very first meeting with Kevin (and later with Nikki), we felt completely taken care of and knew Masterpiece would help us pull off our perfect wedding. We were a COVID wedding, which meant rescheduling our original September 2020 date not once, but twice. Every step of the way, our partners at Masterpiece were understanding, accommodating, and supportive. We were frankly surprised at how seamless Nikki and Kevin made the process.

Beyond the pandemic, every aspect of our wedding – from the food and drinks to the tables and layout to the service and ambiance – was handled with incredible attention to detail. We had our August wedding at The View, so having multiple indoor and outdoor options was a great benefit. Our guests, even the New York natives, were in awe of the panoramic views, and we lost track of how many people pulled us aside to mention how wonderful all of the food was. Honestly, no duds! Having catering managed in-house with the venue removed one more complexity, which, when you’re planning a wedding, is a huge help. Masterpiece also has great partners (we used their florist and DJ partners) that are equally great.

We can’t imagine our wedding without Masterpiece and The View, and we are so happy we don’t have to! Masterpiece Caterers is the epitome of true hospitality.

Amazing People and Amazing Venue!!

Words cannot express just how grateful we are to Kevin, Nikki, and the whole Masterpiece Caterers staff! Our wedding was rescheduled due to the pandemic, and Kevin worked with us throughout the process with so much patience and care. Kevin was extremely generous with his time, meeting with us virtually and in person multiple times to ensure that every detail was accounted for. Kevin also set us up with several vendors that were fantastic! On the day, Nikki was absolutely amazing. She was on top of every single detail - setting the tables perfectly, directing all of the guests, and even calming our niece when she was having a temper tantrum. She made everything run so seamlessly, the day would not have been possible without her.
Each member of the staff went above and beyond on the day. The date just so happened to also be during a hurricane, but you would never know there was a storm outside based on how bright and joyous everyone was at the View. We have continued the get comments from guests about how wonderful the whole experience was, and how much they loved the food (and we agree!). The day was better than we ever could have imagined! The View is truly a special place and we cannot wait to go back and visit!

We LOVED everything about The View at Battery!!

Greatest wedding! The lead up and planning, the flexibility, the space, the food, the music, the suggested vendors... everything was perfect. My husband and I had to postpone our wedding 2 times due to Covid-19. Kevin and Nikki from The View were so flexible and accommodating with each reschedule. They were incredible responsive and flexible over the year and a half that we went through plan changes and eventual actual planning. I was a pretty low key bride and I felt like they were so helpful while also not being stressful AT ALL. Everyone at the wedding raved about the food and about the venue and experience. On the day off, they were so helpful and kept the whole evening moving at a great pace. We felt incredibly cared for and again... so stress free. I cannot recommend The View and Masterpiece Caterers enough! You won't be sorry!

Flexible and easy to work with

My husband and I came across the View here on Wedding Wire when looking for our Venue. I emailed Kevin and he immediately followed up with an email and phone call. What I loved was the attention they provided from start to finish. Kevin was able to give us the exact date we wanted. We also had a micro wedding in which he allowed us to have a slightly smaller than expected number of guests. Everything was absolutely beautiful, seamless and not to mention the food and drinks were all good. We were also allowed to have our own vendors and the process was extremely easy. Nikki is also absolutely amazing! She was so helpful leading up to and the day of the wedding making sure everything we wanted turned out perfect. I would highly recommend.

An Absolute Dream

My husband and I just had our wedding at The View, and I am so grateful to Kevin, Nikki, and to all of the other phenomenal staff for making our wedding an absolute dream. My husband and I became engaged just as the pandemic was beginning, and Kevin graciously worked with us through all of the different planning challenges and changes that happened, as a result.

We were married on the second floor of The View, and our guests had an amazing time looking out at the Statue of Liberty and taking pictures in the nearby park. The dinner was delicious. I would happily order those exact dishes again (the lamb, swordfish, and vegan options were fantastic). They even designed a sober bar especially for us because our wedding was a dry wedding. Nikki and Kevin also both went above and beyond the call of duty to work with our family who came from out of town to celebrate with us, and Nikki even stepped in to help save the day when my makeup was smudged after taking pictures. I would recommend Masterpiece Catering to anyone who is looking for a gorgeous wedding venue with superbly prepared food and awesome staff! 3 cheers for Masterpiece Catering!

Super nice and flexible

The View at Battery Park just reopened under new ownership just in time for us to move UP our wedding. They were so flexible and accommodating during a really hard time. We had to cancel our old wedding and lost a ton of money and were out of options. I decided to inquire and even when we gave them a hard time about small stuff they were always so flexible, approachable and helped us make this day happen in a way that it was easier. It was as perfect as it could be given the hard times during a pandemic. They were open and honest with us, and even that day Nikki always made sure I, the bride, was feeling great (which is super awesome, the day is so overwhelming and I planned essentially two weddings and one of them was in a couple of months!) I can compliment the food enough, the guests were RAVING about it, even the cake was freaking fantastic (we didn't save our top, haha we ate it that weekend!) Everything came together so nicely with little mistakes but it was as perfect a day that it could be thanks to the people at masterpiece caterers, and bless them all for dealing with couples during this time, and all of my personal shenanigans and worries. The venue upstairs is absolutely GORGEOUS. I wish I planned my original wedding here! The ceremony was on the promenade and it was amazing. Cocktail was also outside under a tent with perfect ambiance. Everything was perfect and this venue is so generous and knows how to run a wedding, Nikki went beyond to help set up and clean up and again helped (and dealt) with me on the big day! Even when we ran super late and guests were late the venue just worked with us and just made sure we had time and were calm. Just so amazing. I was so stressed out as a bride and perfectionist and honestly the day had small things wrong out of my control but by the time we got to the ceremony and everything thereafter run by masterpiece it all came together and me and my husband were just so relaxed haha!

Amazing venue for a perfect wedding!

We could not have been happier with our wedding at Battery Gardens!!! Our senior catering manager, Michele, and the entire staff were incredible throughout the whole process. Since Battery Gardens is a restaurant, we really liked the fact that we could have a meal there before we selected it as our venue. The restaurant manager was even kind enough to bring us some additional desserts to try. We also loved the view of the Statue of Liberty and Battery Park. Throughout the entire planning process, Michele was amazing! She was very quick to answer any questions that we had, has excellent relationships with many of the vendors and even suggested some to us, and fully handled any special requests that we had regarding our guests allergies. She took perfect notes during both the tasting and the planning process and really made sure that everything went off without a hitch on our wedding night. She had also worked with our day-of coordinator before which helped make this a flawless evening. The wedding package that they offer is very flexible, offering many different options for both the plated meal and the stations. The food at the wedding was exceptional. Our guests still rave about the fabulous wedding that we had at Battery Gardens. Battery Gardens really gives you a top-tier experience for a reasonable price.

The BEST Wedding Venue!

We had our wedding reception at Battery Gardens in May and it couldn't have been more perfect! Michele, the coordinator at Battery Gardens, was an absolute JOY to work with from day 1. She was very detail oriented, quick to respond, and helped provide us with a lot of guidance along the way (including scheduling, vendors, food choices, decor, etc)! The tasting was amazing, we got to try so much of the menu, and felt very pampered. The day of the wedding the staff at Battery Gardens handled everything better than we could have ever imagined. We had our cocktail hour on the first floor of the venue in the indoor space as well as the outdoor patio, and the reception was on the second floor. The food is incredible, the space is such a unique NYC venue and overlooks the water with huge windows all around the perimeter of the room, and the staff executed everything without a hitch! The staff was very attentive, asking myself, my husband, and our families if we needed anything throughout the day, and gave great service to our guests! Our guests can't stop raving about how amazing the space was, how wonderful the food was, and how detail oriented the venue was. I honestly cannot recommend Battery Gardens enough for your wedding! Thank you to the amazing staff there that made our wedding day the best day ever!

Amazing Wedding Experience

Wow, what can we say?? We were blown away by this venue and the professionalism of the staff, namely, Michele Cavallero, the Senior Catering Manager. Our wedding was a dream wedding and everything went perfectly throughout the night. The venue was stunning with gorgeous views of the harbor and the statue of liberty and everything was executed perfectly in terms of setting up the upstairs room for the ceremony and then transitioning the space for the reception. Michele was the absolute best-- I don't think there's anybody out there that could have been more talented at their job than her. She was thorough, 100% responsive to every inquiry/concern /question that we had (and there were a lot!), super organized, and made me feel comfortable and at ease every step along the way. Michele remembered every detail of all the requests I had to make the day special. She took care of decorating the space beautifully, organizing every aspect of the ceremony and reception, and making the whole day and night flow seamlessly. Thank you, Michele!! We also met the owner of Battery Gardens, Paul, a few times. He has been in this business a long time, and started out doing events at the Plaza in New York, and it shows! Paul clearly cares about providing a phenomenal experience at his venue and making his guests happy. Thank you, Paul!! And did I mention the food? It's very hard to cook for large scale events of over 150 people and still make the food good. But Battery Gardens exceeded our expectations on that front. Our guests raved about how delicious the food was at cocktail hour and the reception. Book your wedding with Battery Gardens, you won't be disappointed!!

Still Talking

It’s been almost a year and the family is still talking…surprisingly, about the spectacular rehearsal dinner that we held at the Battery Park Restaurant in Battery Park, downtown NYC. The conversation will start with a mention of the wedding but inevitably it shifts to “but that rehearsal dinner.” Battery Park restaurant was a referral by a friend and we made an appointment to meet with Merita. Hopefully, she is still their event planner because she made it happen. Our son knew that we needed to accommodate a large wedding party, family, as well as guests staying in the hotels which were within walking distance of the restaurant. He wanted the feel of a “meet and greet”—not too formal, so family and friends would get a chance to get acquainted before the wedding, but also a sit-down dinner that didn’t feel like a mini-wedding. It seemed like a tall order to find in NYC, but when he met us at the venue after work, the sun was setting over Lady Liberty on the last 70 degree day in November. His reaction told it all. He had his view from several directions. He had outdoor space downstairs and upstairs. He had his cocktail hour with open bar to kick off the informal meet and greet in a classy setting on the lower level, which then moved upstairs where the space was divided: Sit-down dinner looking out at the river, couches and high tables around the fireplace with electric votives. Merita took care of all the logistics. She depicted the image of all parts of our evening from the view, to the menu choices, to the elevator and space for the elderly and a high chair for the newest family member/flower girl, to the sound system with projector screen and an informal dessert/coffee station by the fireplace so that guests could leave their seats and continue to mingle at the upstairs bar during dinner speeches and all throughout dessert. Our son was playing the odds that possibly one of his important days would have good weather, but defying all the terrible weather predictions, that night and the wedding day allowed Lady Liberty to be the second star of the bride and groom’s special weekend. With a wedding in early June, the flowers and gardens were in bloom as Merita Baldemic had promised, the food was incredible and the family is still talking.

Wonderful Wedding Venue

It was an absolute DREAM to work with Donna and her staff at Battery Gardens from start to finish. During the planning process she was extremely helpful with suggestions but also open to our ideas and came up with creative solutions to make them a reality. She truly went above and beyond - from little things like writing a specific brand of vodka into the contract for my mom or making a different salad for the groom to letting our guests into the cocktail hour practically an hour early due to the driving rain outside. We got married on New Year's Eve and the timeline she developed and executed was impeccable. I didn't feel rushed for a single second and everyone had a glass of champagne in hand for midnight without a scramble. Also the food was incredible. Passed items at cocktail hour were plentiful and delicious and the stations never ran empty. The most impressive part, however, was the fact that the entrees (filet mignon & sea bass) arrived at the table piping hot and were cooked to perfection. Many guests sought us out to happily report that their meat arrived at the temperature they ordered it - not easy to do with over 100 guests and frankly not something you typically get at weddings, galas, etc. Also the vegan/vegetarian dinner option is an actual delicious dinner and not just the sides from the meat dishes plated as dinner. There are ton of options to pick from regarding menu and the amount and quality of the food is incredible. The rooms are tasteful and understated so your linens, decor, theme can really shine through. There's also outdoor space and terraces that we took advantage of even in the winter. Plus the view of the water and Statue of Liberty can't be beat. All in all, would absolutely recommend Donna and Battery Gardens to anyone looking to get married in Manhattan. Amazing service.

After months of searching for a wedding venue, we found the most amazing place! We were slightly hesitant at the time because it almost seemed too good to be true - beautiful waterfront views, lovely inside, more than enough space for an outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, etc. for over a hundred guests, they had an opening about three months out (what we wanted), and it was super reasonably priced! Checked all the boxes, so what could be wrong? Nothing! It turned out to be everything we could have dreamed for and more!!

Let me tell you about the 'more' part. We loved the venue like I said, the guests loved the food, the space, the outdoor balconies, beautiful views of the river, Lady Liberty, etc. We got many compliments on the food, everything was superb we heard from all. OK, back to the 'more' part. This is the part that none of the guests knew about it, but was so critical!

This is a personal thank you to Michele at Battery Gardens, who we worked with from the very beginning. She is better than a wedding planner, she absolutely coordinated everything. Whether it was two months out or three days out, every time we saw her prior (tasting, day before, etc.) my confidence spiked that everything would go exactly as planned. She expertly guided us through step by step everything that we needed to take care of, everything that she was taking care of and all in between, like was it going to rain or not and contingencies being set. It's not easy dealing with parents who want a perfect wedding, and Michele handled herself with class the whole time, always made sure that we were on board and comfortable with any decisions. The day of the wedding she was super calm as timing needed to be adjusted, etc. But even then she was laser focused on making the day as beautiful as possible for us and all guests - we of course super appreciate that and can't thank her enough!! We highly recommend this venue and if at all possible, work with Michele!

We got married at Battery Gardens in NYC in August and truly have only the most amazing things to say about our experience. We worked with Merita Balidemic and she made all of our wishes and dreams come true. The night was 100% perfect. Everything we reviewed and discussed before the night of our wedding throughout an entire year of planning became a reality. Not one thing was missed. There was open communication throughout our entire planning process and it was honestly such a great experience. Merita and team were everything we could have hoped and dreamed of to work with for our wedding. It also helped that the venue is gorgeous! I wish we could do it all over again 1000000 times. HIGHLY recommend!! :)

We can't say enough wonderful things about Battery Gardens!! Our wedding was so much better than we ever imagined thanks to all of their efforts. We worked with Alex initially, who was helpful, responsive, and sold us on the venue. We later worked with Michele in the months leading up to the wedding. Believe the hype: Michele is fantastic, responsive, friendly, and on top of everything!! She was truly a pleasure to work with and made planning SO much easier. The day of, Michele was there to help make sure things ran smoothly-- and they did! Many of our other vendors also remarked on how easy it was to work with her.

The space itself is gorgeous-- modern and by the water, which was exactly what we were looking for. Although the dance floor was a little bit on the small side for our guest count (~160) and large band, we still had ample room to dance the night away!

We got incredibly lucky with the weather, so we had our ceremony outdoors in the park. Be aware, if you're married out there, you WILL have an audience. It was actually fun to have so many uninvited guests around to cheer after we kissed. :)

Our guests said that not only was the space gorgeous (between the Statue of Liberty, the park, and the lights of the Financial District, you can't go wrong), but the food was also some of the best they've had in general, not just at weddings! All of the staff we encountered were extremely professional and helpful, and during the reception itself, We heard nothing but positive remarks from guests about the service.

Overall, this wedding venue is fantastic because of the excellent service, delicious food, gorgeous space, and iconic scenery! Thank you, Michele, Alex, and all of the Battery Gardens staff!!

My husband and I got married at Battery Gardens Restaurant on August 17th and it was absolutely spectacular! BGR is located on the southernmost tip of Manhattan located on the water and overlooks the Statue of Liberty.

We had heard about BGR from word of mouth with rave reviews about the gorgeous scenery and delicious food. When we went to visit the venue we knew it was the place we wanted to get married! We met with Michele, the venue's coordinator, who was THE BEST! Michele was friendly, attentive, detail oriented and had an answer for every one of our questions. She was organized, responsive, and gave great advice throughout our wedding planning process. We felt so lucky to have worked with Michele who made our wedding day so amazing!

Not only did we choose BGR for the NYC views, but because of how great we had heard the food was. It was important to us that we had quality food, and it was! Our guests could not stop talking about how great it was.

Our wedding day was truly amazing and we can not thank BGR enough, especially Michele. The service and staff were professional, and the overall experience was fantastic! If you are looking for a gorgeous NYC wedding venue that is budget friendly this place will not disappoint!

We were not familiar with Battery Gardens prior to wedding planning, but knew we wanted a venue in Manhattan that could accommodate a group of 175 people and could host all of the day’s events in one location. We went to see it on a cold, grey, rainy day and despite that we fell in love with the venue. It’s situated right on the water with views of the Statue of Liberty which gives it that quintessential NY feel that we were seeking. It has the space to handle large groups, and their combination of indoor and outdoor space allows for maximum flexibility as far as planning the logistics of the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. And not to be overlooked, their pricing was better than most places we looked at while providing a higher level of service. We knew this was the place for us and didn’t need to see any further venues after that.

From there the real work began. Michele, the venue’s coordinator, could not have been more helpful throughout the process. She was so friendly, professional, and organized. She was always quick to return an email, text, or phone call. She made sure to address any questions or concerns as quickly as possible and her presence really helped put our mind at ease.

The day of the event was complicated by the weather forecast but Michele worked with us right down to the wire to make sure we had contingency plans in place. She helped keep everything on time and coordinated with the various vendors to ensure things went smoothly.

The rest of the staff, including Eddie (the maitre’d), were extremely flexible and accommodating and we were delighted with the level of service.

Overall we could not be more pleased with our choice of Battery Gardens for our wedding. The location was perfect, the price was right, and the level of service ensured that all our guests had a fantastic time.

Cannot recommend this place enough, especially Michele. When looking for a venue I wanted something that was very New York, had outdoor space and was within my budget. Someone suggested this venue to me and as soon as I saw it and met Michele, I knew I had to get married there. The venue is absolutely spectacular and the price is amazing for everything you get. Every single one of our guests were raving about the views, the food (OMG THE FOOD! so good), the service - absolutely everything. And Michele was amazing. Absolutely amazing. I cannot even put into words how many times I e-mailed her leading up to the venue about tiny details and silly things I was worried about. At no point did she make me feel like I was a burden or a pain, was always quick to respond and had detailed notes on everything I had said (and gone back and forth on), so when it was time to actually plan everything she was on the same page of me. Day of I knew I had made the best decision. Everything went smoothly and every single thing I was worried about disappeared. I really wanted to make sure I had a wedding that had the sit down dinner and a lot of the formalities but also had a party vibe and Battery Gardens totally delivered - - but I also know they would have been able to deliver no matter what vibe I was going for. I could not have had a more perfect wedding or wedding venue and I owe a lot of that to Michele. Get married here, you won't regret it.

My husband and I just celebrated our wedding reception at the beautiful Battery Gardens. We could not have asked for a more sophisticated and elegant venue at a convenient location in NYC. We first met our catering sales manager, Donna Ahern, in the fall of 2016 when we were interested in the venue, and it became apparent within minutes of meeting Donna that we not only needed to host our wedding here, but that we needed Donna at our side. Donna has consistently been an absolute delight to work with, and someone who carries with her great experience, efficiency, organization, and professionalism balanced with a warm character and good sense of humor. My parents also felt at ease within minutes of meeting Donna and we continue to feel so fortunate that we had the luxury of trusting that we were at all times in good hands and well cared for. We felt incredibly well prepared for our wedding thanks to Donna and we, along with our parents, were able to enjoy the night without worrying about a thing. Our Maitre d', Eddie, who we met the evening of the wedding, was incredibly accommodating, experienced, courteous, and well prepared for his own responsibilities, and it was a joy to work with him. Donna, Eddie, and the rest of the staff made sure that our guests were well provided for, that the evening’s schedule was carried out seamlessly, and that we had everything we needed. My family and I believe that Donna, the wonderful staff, ambiance, and superior food make this an unforgettable venue for any event. Based on our guests’ reactions, clearly they similarly felt that this was a first-class wedding!

Battery Gardens and their team were absolutely AMAZING!!! It by far exceeded our expectations on every level. First, the venue itself is so beautiful. It's right on the water overlooking the statue of liberty. It's so peaceful and beautiful down there. And you can catch a great sunset. We were able to have our cocktail hour inside / outside in a private area which was amazing. Being in NYC and having outside space is a big plus. The inside is just as nice. Floor to ceiling windows, hardwood floors etc. Second, the staff is the best! Michelle was phenomenal. She was so quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had and was super organized. She was so sweet and helpful as well as flexible and accommodating. She really did everything to make our day feel so special and we knew we could trust her with every detail. Also Eddie, the maitre'd, was so great the night of the wedding. He was there to make sure everything ran smooth. Third the food and bar were amazing. Everyone complimented how tasty the food was, specifically to say it was the best wedding food they've had. And the bar was full open bar, we even got to make 2 speciality cocktails. We are so beyond thrilled with the way our wedding day went and are so glad we went with Battery Gardens. It was seriously the best day, and you could not go wrong choosing this as your venue!

I honestly can't say enough great things about Battery Gardens! We booked the venue for our ceremony and reception about a year out. 6-10 months out, I would email occasionally with various questions, and always received prompt responses. I was happy when Michele took over our wedding coordination, as she was extra-helpful, and never made me feel like my questions were irritating or time consuming. We had a lot of ideas we wanted to include (absinthe bar, whisky bar) and they accommodated without corkage fees or anything extra.
We went with a cocktail style event (5 or 6 food stations with 75% seating) in lieu of a formal seated dinner. I was nervous about it during invitations and RSVPs, but Michele and her team consistently worked with me to make sure the room and the setup would accommodate our vision without inconveniencing any guests. People have raved about the night, from the view to the food to the service to the straight-up party atmosphere we created with this plan!
I am SO happy that we chose to have our wedding here, and would recommend it to anyone in NYC!

Wow, I never imagined my wedding could go as perfectly as it did at Battery Gardens. During planning, I kept joking to my friends and family that they were never saying no to any of our requests but it was true up until the day of. If they didn't have something we wanted, they got it. If they had never done something before, they were open to it. Working with Alex M. was one of my favorite parts of wedding planning. I didn't need to hire a wedding planner because he was so buttoned up. Eddie the Maître d' was also amazing to work with the night of the wedding.

Then there was the food! My goodness. We did stations and they were such a hit. Our guests loved having a variety of delicious food to choose from and that they stayed open for 2 hours during the party. People are still talking about how delicious the food was (the pasta station specifically!).

It has to be mentioned that Battery Gardens is very reasonably priced for a Manhattan wedding venue, especially considering the amazing service and all that is included in the overall price. We were blown away by what we were able to do within our budget.

I can't thank Alex enough for his patience and dedication to our wedding. Battery Gardens does so many weddings but it never felt like we were just another couple. Our wedding was unique to us and we so appreciate Battery Gardens for making it as wonderful as it was.

Our New Years Eve wedding at Battery Gardens was one of the most enchanting experiences of our lives. We're not exactly "wedding people", but were were soon transformed into a happy, glowing bride and groom after our experience with Donna, Catering Sales Manager at Battery Gardens. The food, decor, service, and attention to detail were nothing short of perfect. The entire Battery Gardens staff was incredible and my wedding was a fairtyale. But I'd like to give a special shout out to our Catering Manager Donna Ahren. If you are getting married at Battery Gardens, you need Donna in your life. She was with my husband and I from day 1 of our wedding journey and I couldn't say enough positive things about her and our experience in whole. Donna always has a million events going on, but you'd never know. It was easy to forget sometimes that Donna was not in fact my wedding planner because of how generous she was with her knowledge and time-- She always made time to answer every silly question I had throughout the planning process and went above and beyond her duties to make my wedding the most incredible night of my life. Still floating on cloud 9!

Battery Gardens is the ideal place to host your special event. Alex and his top notch staff are absolutely the best. They are very accommodating and the venue is stunning. Our guests from New York (but especially from out of town) still can't stop talking about how beautiful and perfect our venue was—and how delicious the food was! We shopped around and weren't sure a Manhattan venue was in our budget, but catering manager Michele helped us find something reasonable. My husband's brother had his bar mitzvah party here and his family told us it was the most fun party (next to our wedding, of course!). The outdoor ceremony option was perfect, the contract and correspondence clear, and the catering manager and maitre d' service was out of this world (so nice having a restaurant without having to hire a separate catering service!). Michele listened to my overzealous concerns about disaster preparedness, acted as a sort of wedding planner since we didn't have one and didn't know a lot about how to plan, answered an unwarranted number of emails, orchestrated the day of with a large wedding party perfectly, let us visit and gave us the tour of the venue three times before signing a contract (first just us, then with his family, then with my mom, then with my dad) which speaks volumes of her patience. And plenty of great vendors had worked with them before (they provided us with a list, but others also had positive experiences with them, including Butter Lane Cakes, Devine Photo Booth, Richard Flores Photography, and Floreal NYC (florist). We had our wedding 9/10/17 and the sunset was unreal. One of my favorite parts was that strangers watched our wedding and when we took photos in Battery Park they cheered us on from the ground as our friends cheered us on from the terrace in the restaurant. The view of the Statue of Liberty is priceless. P.S.: The pizza was so good my cousin ordered an entire pie when slices were going around during cocktail hour. Worth it!

We had the pleasure of making our children’s wedding last week at Battery Gardens. The wedding surpassed our expectations. The venue was exquisite with the most incredible views. We had our wedding here on 8/4/17 and it was unbelievable. We worked with Michele as our wedding planner, and she was so prompt getting back to my many emails, offering suggestions and being flexible with everything we wanted. The location is so iconic for a NYC wedding looking at the Statue of Liberty and everyone was on the patio during our cocktail hour taking pics and later of the sunset. The place itself is gorgeous and the staff was impeccable with professionalism and courtesy to our guests. The food was top-notch even for over 150 guests. Everyone was raving about the sea bass and filet mignon that were perfectly cooked. We had the wedding of our dreams and everything surpassed all of our expectations. Thank you so much! Highly highly recommend!!!

WOW. Just ... wow. Michele and the whole group at Battery Gardens made my wedding dreams come true. This venue is spectacular, and the people make it phenomenal. The value for the quality is beyond my wildest dreams considering the room, the view, and the food. A sailboat pulled up right behind our ceremony and my pictures are out of this world. We got married on the patio, but the "rain plan" of getting married upstairs would have been 100% fine too because the view is so spectacular. The lighting and view are so nice that we could save money by not renting lighting and keeping the flowers understated.
A guest needed an ambulance right as my ceremony was about to start and the staff managed the issue and I was none-the-wiser until days later when I found out the person had been hospitalized. I can't thank Michele and the maitre d' for handling it so well. The maitre d' had my schedule all night and made sure we were staying on time, so I had nothing to worry about besides having fun! I wish I could hit rewind and do it all again!

I can’t figure out how to convey how amazing Battery Gardens & Michele Cavallero are without sounding like this review was written by Battery Gardens… so you’re just going to have to trust me. We really wanted to get married in Manhattan, but after looking at countless venues we started to lose hope. Some other venues were ugly, old, or just too expensive for our budget... then we saw Battery Gardens. It is right on the water with views overlooking Battery Park and the Statue of Liberty. No matter the weather, you will have gorgeous pictures and views. Our catering manager was Michele Cavallero, and this cannot be overstated… she is AMAZING. I have literally never met someone who as good at her job as Michele is at hers. She is calm, kind, patient, responsive, and helpful. She coordinated all of the venue details that needed to be addressed leading up to and during our wedding. The food – people could not stop talking about how incredible the food was. No one ever goes to a wedding and remembers the food, right? WRONG. It has been a few weeks since our wedding and people are still reaching out to us and our family raving about the food (both the cocktail hour and the reception). Our vendors helped to make our wedding the best day of our lives, and Battery Gardens & Michele were everything we could have asked for and more.

We had an incredible experience at Battery Gardens working with Anna Morale for our wedding on December 17, 2017. She helped us fit everything into our budget and helped to plan every detail along the way - overall she made the process seamless. The venue is gorgeous and the food turned out to be fantastic. I usually never write reviews (I actually think this may be first my one haha), but words cannot express how amazing Battery Gardens is. I was originally planning to have my wedding in Boston (where I am from), but the minute I walked into Battery Gardens I knew I had to having my wedding there. I cannot imagine having had my wedding anywhere else. Everything from the views to the food to the service to the price is just exceptional. I could not believe the price we got for our October wedding in NYC. Apparently the price was an even better since we booked the date less than a year in advance (10 months in advance). Even if the weather is not ideal (our day was a little drizzly and overcast) the views will not disappoint. EVERYONE was commenting on how beautiful it was. Michele Cavallero, our catering manager, was absolutely amazing. She really knows what she is doing and does her job well! She had such amazing suggestions and always made sure to help me stay within my budget. The open bar was just amazing, Michele even made sure to add Jameson into the mix even though it is not usually included on their menu. My husband wanted to make sure we had a venue where shots were allowed and they had no problem with this at all! The servers were just exceptional. Our maitre d Eddie was also fabulous. The filet was honestly one of the best pieces of meat I have ever had in my life and the Chilean Sea bass was one of the best pieces of fish I have ever had in my life (non-seafood eaters even commented on how good it was!) Also - definitely use Battery Garden's florist Javier Demera (owner of Jolie events). He went above and beyond my expectations for my bouquets. The place look absolutely gorgeous with our lantern centerpieces and he helped me to stay within my budget. A ton of my friends were taking pictures and commenting on how gorgeous the room looked all lit up. Just have your wedding at Battery Gardens, you will not regret it!!!

We had a lovely daytime wedding on September 25, 2016 at Battery Gardens, with an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception in their harbor view room. Battery Gardens is the most ideal venue a bride can ask for. Especially for our situation, many of our guests are coming from out of town or even oversea, so it is so great to have a venue with the view of statue of liberty! The staff are so great. Our catering manager was Anna. And our Maître D' for the day was Eddie. Both of them are very professional. Anna worked with us patiently through out our wedding planning process. She accommodated all of our requests and some last minute guest count change. On our wedding day, Anna led us through every single step, calmed us down and created a perfectly smooth timeline. Eddie and his crew helped us pack everything up after the wedding, which was a life saver! Iced water with lemons was served to our guests while they were waiting for the ceremony to start. The food was great. The open bar was awesome. They even put food in the Bridal Suite because obviously I did not have time to eat during the reception. We couldn't ask for more! Thank you, Battery Gardens, so much, for a perfect wedding day!

After looking at tons of venues outside of the city, I was suggested by a coworker to check out Battery Gardens. My husband and I live in Manhattan, so we know how expensive things can be, and even looking at venues that were along the hudson and east rivers, we thought it would be out of our budget. But we decided to take a look anyways and totally fell in love with it and decided that day to book the venue! We were married there August 20th, 2016.

Since we chose August as our wedding month, this is I guess technically "out of season" for them and is a bit cheaper than June or September, which was a major plus! We met and worked with Michele, who is literally a god send. She was SO helpful throughout our entire planning process. If she ever wants to open her own wedding planning service, she'd rock at it. She dealt with all of our issues or questions with ease and was super responsive. We were having problems with a hotel that we were trying to book a room block at that was suggested by Battery Gardens and after no response from this hotel for nearly two weeks, she called them up and we were contacted the next day. Magic!

Our wedding day was so beautiful and really went off without a hitch! The team at Battery Gardens really attended to our every need and all of our guests needs. They set up the ceremony, cocktail room and reception room so beautifully. The only thing we did hear from guests after the ceremony ended--which was outside in Battery Park next to the restaurant--was that tourists who watched the ceremony started to steal the flowers after the ceremony ended!! I guess they really were going to end up in the trash either way, but I wished that someone was there to stop them from taking the flowers.
But aside from that, everything was amazing and so so perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better day at a better venue. Not to mention, the views of the NY harbor and statue of liberty are phenomenal! THANK YOU THANK YOU MICHELE!

My husband and I looked at many venues to find the perfect place for our wedding. I used to pass by Battery Gardens when I lived in FiDi and thought how wonderful it would be to have my wedding there, but figured it would be way out of my price range. My husband convinced me to set up a meeting there and after our meeting with Michele Cavellero, Senior Catering Manager, we were convinced this was the place. We had already seen raving reviews about Michele so we were sure that we wanted her to manage our wedding. This was the best decision we made. Every single guest told us how amazing our venue and food was. The venue is simple but elegant. With the right timing, you can have the sunset as your backdrop during your ceremony. The food during both cocktail hour and dinner was excellent. Everyone in our bridal party told us how organized and helpful Michele was. She and our maître d’, Eddy, made our entire evening run so smoothly. We didn’t have to worry about a thing throughout the entire process and wedding day.

Michele was our person. From start to finish, she walked us around the venue and discussed everything and answered questions we had along the way. We worked together to create a menu that best fit our needs, as well as our guests. With my husband and my creativity and love of food, we worked with Michele to make a duet of two of our favorite entree's. We needed to make the cocktail hour a half hour later, for an additional fee, but they were accommodating to us and made our night one that we will ALWAYS remember. Our friends still talk about it being their most fun wedding and beautiful wedding that they have ever been too. We had a beyond fantastic experience with Battery Gardens and Senior Catering Manager, Michele Cavallero in planning our wedding on July 1. Guests have not stopped raving about how good the food was, how gorgeous the venue was, and how stunning the views were! (Lady Liberty and the Hudson on one side, the urban financial district and 1 World Trade on the other)! We loved the ability to be both indoors and outdoors. Cocktail hour was both indoors and outdoors on a fabulous patio with food and drinks easily accessible (and plentiful). During the reception, guests could take advantage of the two large balconies upstairs to take in the spectacular views outdoors.

Throughout 10 months of planning, Michele was informative, responsive and flexible to all of our questions and requests. We did not have a professional planner so Michele's insights were invaluable; Responses to most requests were met with a "no problem" or "I'll take care of it". For example, Michele let us switch out the standard package beer with craft beer from the venue's beer garden.

Michele worked with us on event timing from when the party first arrived through to midnight. She and her A team including Maitre'D, Eddie were instrumental in setting up our non-florist stuff (placecards, deco etc) and made sure everything went according to plan, and directing the wedding party and guests. One of the A team went above and beyond, and ran out into the street to hail and bring a cab into the venue to pickup my dad close to the entrance (dad had hurt his knee and had trouble walking).

Lastly, use the house florist, Javier Demera, owner of Jolie Events - his work is stunning and I cannot say enough good things! Despite my small budget, Javier was willing to work with me on the look using his far superior knowledge of the space, letting me know what I could and could not have based on what I wanted and my budget. Truly, the results of Javier's work was just beyond gorgeous.

So thrilled with the wedding venue! Food was really delicious. The Chilan Bass was incredible! The fillet mignon fabulous! The venue was just perfect for the outdoor ceremony ! Michelle is just the best coordinator in New York. No stone was left unturned. The table settings and the staff was better than i ever expected. They were just great! The maitre'd was so helpful and prepared all that I asked for and More! Thank you for an unforgettable wedding. Talk around town called it the event of the year! We could'nt of asked for a better party! With the sun shining on the water the pictures we took were exquisite. I wish we could share them with everyone! I worked with Michele for my wedding and had a wonderful experience. She was extremely responsive with every question i had and made the process so easy for me. We had to drop off our stuff the day before the wedding but was running late to pick up family from the airport so quickly gave it to michele with a quick inventory count and she remembered exactly where everything (signs, menu, guests books, flowers etc) had to go. We were lucky enough to have good weather the day of our wedding and so many of our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever attended. The venue overlooks the water with statue of liberty in the background in the middle of battery park. The staff were all very friendly and sooo many compliments on the food. Good food was always important to me so this was a big deal. You get 8 passed hours devours, 4 stations and 4 course meal. Everyone was stuffed at the end. I highly recommend the asian station, the peking duck wrap was phenomenal! Battery gardens definitely made my wedding day the most unforgettable day of my life. I would highly recommend to any bride wanting to get married in new york.

I couldn't tell you just how much i appreciate Battery Gardens. I don't know any other venue that would make my wedding such a perfection. I simply adore it. Our vendor manager was Donna Ahern and she is just beyond amazing. She was fast in responding to our concerns, emails, she made it all happen. She worked a lot to make our venue look amazing and make sure we are satisfied. We are BEYOND satisfied.
Apart from that... the venue is simply gorgeous. The view is right overlooking the statue of liberty and its right in the park. Some guests had trouble finding it, because of the construction outside. But not to worry! Battery Gardens has a map they sent to us, and we put it in our invitation! Donna managed our timing the day of the wedding and made sure that the table of my Russian guests was served by the guy who speaks Russian. How thoughtful is that??? and the food.... oh God the food.... it's just so good I want to go back every week to eat that steak and those appetizer scallops!!

We were married at Battery Gardens in December, right before the holidays, and the staff and venue helped us bring our dream wedding to life! Alex Miljkovic, the director of catering was tremendous in helping us throughout the entire planning process. He was very easy to work with and on top of all the details related to our wedding. Eddie was our Maitre D the night of the wedding and he, along with all the other staff that night, were phenomenal in making sure everything was set up perfectly and ran smoothly throughout the night. Besides the gorgeous venue, beautiful views, and stunning décor (especially around the holidays), one of the main hits at Battery Gardens is the food. Every bite of each meal prepared on our wedding night was superb. We received so many compliments from guests about the delicious food and the terrific service. For the price and quality of service, Battery Gardens really blew us away. We are so happy we had our ceremony and reception at Battery and hope for another opportunity to work with them again.

I had an absolutely great experience at Battery Gardens. I live in NYC and was looking for a venue that had a great view/atmosphere; could seat over 200 people; and was reasonably priced for NYC. Battery Gardens came recommended by a friend of a friend and I'm so happy that I ended up choosing this venue. I could not have been happier. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. Michele Cavallero was extremely helpful during the planning process. She helped put me at ease. She was very responsive to all of my questions and really made things go smoothly. Since I booked this venue one of my friends have hosted an event here and a coworker is now planning her wedding at this venue. It is a great location. I wouldn't hesitate to host another event here. I really appreciate all that they did for us.

Paul, Michele and the team at Battery Gardens could not have made our wedding any more enjoyable. The entire process from planning to clean up/pick up, was simple, easy, fun, and PERFECT! From start to finish, Battery Gardens made the planning process so easy and enjoyable. From our initial meeting with Michele, we knew we were in good hands. I planned our wedding from Chicago, and Michele was so wonderful at responding to all my questions and emails in a super timely fashion. Michele acts as your day of coordinator, so she made sure our rehearsal went smoothly and that everything was taken care of on the day of. She, the Maitre D (Eddie) and the whole Battery Gardens Staff were so perfect that my husband and I didn't worry about a thing!

All our guests raved about the venue, the beautiful location, the service, and the food. BG is gorgeous and such a hidden gem. We'll always be so grateful to them for making our wedding so special!

We has our ceremony and reception at Battery Gardens. The coordinator at BG, Michele was amazing. She just made everything simple, there were lots of things to plan but it did not seem difficult at all as she would provide suggestions and help with outlines. On the day of the wedding she was there to make sure everything went smoothly.
Everything abot the place was great, the food, the staff and of course the views.

We cannot say enough great things about Battery Gardens and their coordinator Michele. Michele was immediately helpful and beyond organized from the first moment we met with her. She was the real reason we initially chose the venue, we both looked at each other and said "we want to work with her!" Battery Gardens is beautiful, and the food was fantastic. They were great about us choosing our menus and making accommodations and substitutions, they were pretty much able to do absolutely anything we requested. I (the bride) am gluten-free, and not only did they provide gluten-free pasta and other options during the seated dinner, but they even brought a separate plate of passed appetizers including special GF versions of our apps into the bridal suite while we were resting after the ceremony. They really all worked with us to make sure the day went smoothly. We recommend this venue so highly, we wish we could do it again!

We are so happy we decided to get married at Battery Gardens. First of all, the views and location are unbeatable. The food was delicious, was presented beautifully, and there was a wide selection so all of our guests were completely stuffed by the time the wedding was over. And the staff is great! Michele was the most amazing person to work with. She always promptly responded to all questions and went above and beyond during the tasting and at the wedding. Battery Gardens was perfect! You know you picked the right venue when your guests keep telling you that the view was beautiful and the food at your wedding was one of the best they ever had at weddings!! That’s exactly what heard from our guests.

We searched through many venues and we are so happy that we chose Battery Gardens to host our once in a lifetime event. The venue building exterior isn’t brand new, but the interior is beautiful and clean. Our ceremony was held outside in their patio during sunset, with the Statue of Liberty and sailboats as our backdrop, it was gorgeous.

We worked with Michele and she was amazing! We highly recommend having Michele as your coordinator. She was professional, responsive, very supportive, and kept us up to date from booking to the wedding. The whole experience was so pleasant and painless. This is what couples need after months of wedding planning. When we started to panic about the details of the day, she helped us create the timeline and reassure us that we were schedule. During the day of the wedding, we had some unexpected issues and Michele took care of it quickly without worrying us one bit! We really appreciated that.

Eddy was our maitre’ d. We didn’t get to meet Eddy until the day of the wedding and he was absolutely a sweetheart. He was friendly, attentive, and knew exactly what to do to make sure everything ran smoothly. He helped direct the bridal party during introductions, made sure the bouquet was ready for the toss, attended to the food coming out of the kitchen, and readied the special cake for my mother’s birthday which was the same day as our wedding. At the end of the night, he packed up all our important items for us We didn’t need to scramble at all especially and worry at all, especially since we had several cocktails in us.

Battery Gardens is an great choice for a venue.

My wife and I recently got married at Battery Gardens. It was the best day of our entire lives and we owe so much of that to Adam and the rest of the Battery Gardens staff.
From the moment we met Adam and looked at the venue we knew we were in good hands. Adam was there with us every step of the way. He was always available to talk and make changes. You do not need a wedding planner when you have Adam. Adam went out of his way every time we met to make us feel comfortable. He was very nice to all of our family and always willing to go the extra step to please everyone.

Our wedding day went 100% to plan. I know people say that does not happen, but it did. It was perfect, every small detail was taken care of. The day was so magical and special. We would do it over and over every day if we could.

The venue is beautiful, the view of the statue of liberty and lower Manhattan sets it apart. The food is delicious, some of the best i have ever had in NYC. Several guest came up to us and told us this was the best meal they had ever had. The cocktails hour was prefect as well, make sure you get the Asian Station.

I cannot imagine getting married anywhere else. If you are looking for a beautiful venue, great good, great people and want to be able to relax on your wedding day then Battery Gardens is the perfect place for you.

My husband and I got married at Battery Gardens in November 2014. We worked with Alex throughout the wedding planning. We did most of the planning from long distance and he was very accommodating. He was able to customize our package to our requests. Their services include a maitre d'. Both he and Alex were invaluable during the day of the wedding to make sure things went smoothly.
The venue itself is beautiful any time of the year and is in a very accessible location.
The food was incredible and plentiful; the menu was customized to include options for vegetarians.
This venue had everything we wanted and we are so happy we got married here.

We could not be happier that we held our wedding at Battery Gardens. We worked with Michele as our catering manager, who is fantastic at her job, and such a pleasure to work with. She patiently gave the same tour of the venue on 3 back to back weekends to different groups (my husband, myself, and finally with my mom in tow), and answered each and every question we had in painstaking detail. We did not use a wedding planner and were a bit nervous leading up to the event that we would need one, but once we arrived at the venue, Michele took care of every last detail. The weather was gorgeous and we were able to have our ceremony outside overlooking the statue of liberty. They also had recently refinished the floors on the upstairs room, and we were the first wedding to use the new floors. Our guests loved the food and the venue, and working with such competent, nice people as the staff at Battery Gardens truly made it easier to plan a wedding. Eddie was also the best maitre d - he started packing up desserts when he saw we weren't going to come close to eating them all. I would definitely work with the staff at Battery Gardens to plan an event again.

Battery Gardens is a true hidden gem of NYC. If you are looking for the most picture perfect backdrop for your big day I guarantee Battery Gardens is the place for you! Not only is the exterior park and view of the Statue of Liberty breathtaking, but the venue itself is a dream come true! The white walls and floor to ceiling windows make it the perfect venue for any wedding at any time of year. What also made it the perfect place to get married was the staff and on site event planners. By the end of the planning the staff became family and treated our whole wedding party as such. It also didn't hurt that the food and beverages rivaled that of some of the top restaurants in NYC. Thank you Battery Gardens for making my dream wedding day come true!

We had our wedding here on 10.25.14, and it was INCREDIBLE. We worked with Michele, who was absolutely amazing in all respects. She really worked with us in the menu and appetizer planning process, helping the venue make specialty appetizers (arancini and mac and cheese balls) that were delicious, and working with us on special little additions, like having a real fire going all night, that truly made the evening special.

I am an extreme type-A personality, and had a whole host of little details I really wanted to make sure were perfect. I told Michele about all of them, not once or twice, but easily dozens of times, and instead of ever being short with me (which would have been totally justified!), she was always patient and responsive.

In the days leading up to the wedding my husband and I had a million things we were doing, and Michele went above and beyond to let us drop off a lot of things 2 days early, practice our dance in the event space, and try the signature drinks for the millionth time. She also hand-placed the 150 or so pictures I framed around the venue, and made sure the look was just right. She worked with me throughout the night to make sure I was happy and satisfied, and worked with the florist and other vendors to ensure their set up and execution went smoothly.

EVERYONE I talked to said that the food was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately my husband and I were running around a lot and did not get to eat nearly as much as we'd hoped, but the guests (many of whom are extremely picky) were all so happy and satisfied! I loved everything about working with BG, and Michele in particular. I really felt like she cared about my husband and I, and about making our day special. Thank you so so much!!!

We just got married at Battery Gardens and had our reception at Battery Gardens October 11th, and couldn't be more happy with our experience from the planning to the day of. We worked with Alex who was extremely responsive and informative. We live in the area and often stopped by when we had a questions, and he was always welcoming and made time for us. Eddy the maitre d was fabulous the day of as well, accomodating any last minute needs we had and overseeing that everything was set up just as we wanted it.

This venue is the best value, our guests commented on how they had never had such good quality filet and fish as a wedding entree (one even mentioned the filet was the best he'd ever had). The liquor selection was top shelf and the hors d'oeuvres were great quality and plentiful during cocktail hour. The view overlooking the harbor and Statue of LIberty can be seen from all parts upstairs and down from the venue - we exchanged vows while gazing out at the Statue of Liberty at sunset! The space is so beautiful that you hardly need to decorate it. All of our guests said it was a wedding they would never forget, if not the best wedding they had been to.

The staff was so professional and gave quality service to our guests and were always looking out for us and if we needed anything. They take such great care of you that there's no need for a wedding coordinator as they do it all. I can't say how pleased we were we had our wedding there.

I recently had my wedding reception at Battery Gardens on 9/20/14. I cannot say thank you enough to Battery Gardens. The staff was amazing-the catering manager and maitre'd were very accommodating, nice, and made sure everything ran smoothly and our needs were met. The venue itself was a perfect set-up for our 140 person party size, with the votive candles lining the top of the room ledge helping to set the beautiful ambiance, to the water and Statue of Liberty views. Everyone raved about how delicious the food was and how nicely set up the venue was. The private room where the bride and groom and bridal party can be while cocktail hour goes on was nice. My only suggestion is to have a small locked location to store personal items like bags. Otherwise, I have absolutely no complaints. Everything was set up like we discussed beforehand, everything was returned to us that we requested (like our champagne flutes and cake cutter), and we did not need to worry about anything on our night.

My Husband and I just got married at Battery Gardens Last Sunday October 19th and besides it being beautiful and everyone raving about how amazing the food is....it could not have gone smoother and without one mistake thanks to one coordinator MICHELE CAVALLERO.

Listen, I was an event coordinator at a luxury boutique hotel in Soho so i know first hand how annoying clients can get, including myself. but this beautiful, sweet, professional gem of a woman took care of us for about a year with all the planning as if this were her own wedding. Never skipping a beat, always thinking ahead, coordinating everything the day of, always with a smile in her voice, changing menus left and right like we were the only clients in the world.

We had food GALORE!! and a premium open bar for cheap! Im talking from baby lamb chops to fresh pappardelle with mushrooms and truffle to sliders and salmon and salads and desserts and wine and spirits (top shelf)...it was like we were in heaven!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Battery Gardens. We had such an amazing experience with Battery Gardens from start to finish. When we decided to have the wedding locally in NYC we expected to deal with a hefty price tag. We wanted to stay away from stuffy ballrooms with no windows and started looking at places with a view. For our approximate guest count of 100 we were priced out of most venues and were not thrilled with the places that we could afford. Battery Gardens was one of the last places we looked and we were blown away by the view, the beauty of the space, the professionalism of the catering managers, and the reasonable price (for Manhattan). After visiting it was an easy decision to have our wedding reception there. We worked with Adam for the majority of the planning process. Battery Gardens happily agreed to a personalized cocktail hour menu. Even the dinner food was fantastic (the beef medallions melt in your mouth) which is hard to find at a wedding venue. Adam was very kind, professional, organized, easy to reach, and checked in with us multiple times as the wedding got closer. He walked us through step by step during the planning process and made sure that he had all the information to make the evening run smoothly and according to our schedule. He worked seamlessly with the Maître D, our DJ and other vendors to coordinate the evening. On the day of the wedding the entire staff of Battery Gardens provided amazing service. They paid attention to every detail to make the space beautiful. Adam was on site as was Eddy the Maître D. Between the two of them they made sure we had whatever we needed. Everyone including the waiters, bartenders, and coat room attendant were so sweet and did an amazing job. My husband and I had a fantastic wedding day! It was the best night of our lives and we can’t thank the staff there enough for making our dream come true. If you are considering BG for a wedding venue you will not be disappointed!!

From the moment we walked in to this venue we knew this is the one. After seeing many venues we were giving up hope but walking in here was a breath of fresh air and we immediately could visualize our wedding taking place. I was a nervous wreck planning this wedding and all the details but there was no reason as when the day came everything went so smoothly and without a hitch as it was taken care of by a wonderful team I couldn't believe that it was my wedding The location, the outdoor ceremony in the park, the food, the service, the views from the windows and the balconies were all the things our guests raved about and we couldn't be happier. Plus they though we spent a fortune but thanks to Alex the catering manager who worked with our budget we didn't. It just looked like we did :) It was spectacular. We recently got married at Battery Gardens in August and I can't say enough positive things about this venue. I worked with Michele Cavallero who is absolutely fantastic! Michele from the start was responsive and worked with me to ensure all of my questions were answered and was such a pleasure throughout the entire planning process! While living in New York I had never been to this venue, and actually booked it without seeing it in person because of three unsolicited rave reviews that I heard. The outdoor ceremony setting is stunning, along with the cocktail area, and the dinning dancing upstairs was perfect! Plenty of room for dancing and outdoor patios for socializing over looking the Statue of Liberty. Most venue food is not great, but that is where Battery Gardens stands out, the steaks are cooked perfectly to order and the food is delicious. The entire staff was incredibly kind and Michele was extremely supportive. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone -- my experience with Battery Gardens was fantastic and it truly was one of the best days of our life! We are so grateful for all of their work !

Even though I am planning remotely from the west coast, and have yet to visit this venue, let me tell you it has been such a joy working with Michelle. This venue was last on my list (not sure why) and I thought I was out of options when emailing a ton of places for prices and pictures. Either the coordinator was unfriendly or the prices were out of this world. Then came Michelle, she was so on it! I believe I emailed her on a Friday and didn't expect an answer back until Monday but she promptly got back to me a couple hours later and again returned my emails on Saturday and Sunday. It didn't matter how many questions I had, she would reply back right away. I also want to rave about the prices, I'm having my wedding on a Friday and it was super reasonable. Michelle was even able to accommodate our budget! For a New York venue, you really can't beat Battery Gardens. I didn't even hestitate signing the contract and putting down a deposit!

Update: We had our wedding about 2 weeks ago and it was absolutely amazing! Words cannot express how perfect everything was. From the votive candles on the ledge and to the food...everything was amazing. Michele, again is the most pleasant wonderful person you can ever work with. She will calm you down when things go stressful and reassures you that everything go fine. She was even able to help us with some of our décor, especially since we didn't hire a wedding planner. We are so glad we picked Battery Gardens and got to work with Michele. Don't think twice about this venue!

Where do I even begin. After going on a date with my husband at Battery Gardens when we were only dating, we thought it would be the perfect venue for a wedding but were afraid we wouldn't be able to afford it. Once we got engaged I made an appointment with Dana (ended up working later on with Michele) and we were surprised when we realized we were able to afford a Friday night wedding in June. I could not have been happier with this venue. Michele, our catering manager was absolutely amazing!! She was so helpful and so amazing to work with. Our Maitre'd Eddie was fantastic!! The way the wedding flowed was so impressive. And he was just the nicest man to work with the day of your wedding!! The venue itself was just so stunning and that view!! People were packed on the balcony all night watching the sunset. Everyone was blow away with how beautiful it was and also very impressed with the food!! My Italian relatives, who are a tough crowd, said they never ate such delicious food at a wedding. I wish I could have a wedding here all over again!!!!

My husband and I could not have been more thrilled to have had our wedding at Battery Gardens. The cocktail hour, ceremony and reception were all held at the venue and from start to finish, the evening ran smoothly. We worked with Nicole and were very happy with her guidance and work ethic. The venue is beautiful, the staff is amazing and the food is incredible. Our guests continue to rave about our wedding and I have to thank Battery Gardens for doing such a fantastic job!

I wish I could give Battery Gardens more than 5 stars! Working with Michelle was an absolute pleasure! She is professional and accommodating and was always prompt in answering my emails and phone calls as I planned this New York wedding from Miami. She always made us feel welcome on our many trips there to try the look of different linens and well... just to see the space "one more time." What can I say about the venue? Best view in Manhattan.. the food is delicious and plentiful and the service was beyond what we expected. Guests are still saying how much they enjoyed the food and how beautiful the wedding was! Thanks Michelle and Battery Gardens!

If you are looking for a unique and wonderful wedding venue in NYC, look no further! (Seriously, stop Googling now.)

On a whim decided to stop in one afternoon when we were in the area. We had no appointment but Michele immediately came to show us around. She spent a lot of time with us and was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The venue is beautiful - clean white decor on the lower level, a beautiful patio with an amazing tree overlooking the harbor and Statue of Liberty (where we had our ceremony), and an open airy room upstairs with windows overlooking the same view (where we had the reception). We really felt like we got a HUGE value for what we paid per person.

The great thing is that it's a restaurant - tables, linens, plates, etc are all taken care of. And the food is amazing and there's plenty of it! Our guests were stuffed and commented on how tasty everything was.

And then there's Michele... She is simply the best! Friendly and fun, but a true professional she made our whole planning experience easy. If you have a question, she has an answer (and a suggestion, and another idea, etc). No need to hire a wedding planner either. Michele will be in charge of everything the day of! The evening ran so smoothly and she made sure everyone was always on the same page. But most of all, she made us feel special and important and completely taken care of. I know she has a ton of other weddings to attend to but she never made us feel like we were bothering her or that she was too busy.

This venue is a hidden gem in NYC.

LOVE the venue - it's stunning. THe food was great. And we absolutely LOVED working with Michele.
