Absolutely thrilled with the exquisite veil crafted by Basia for my wedding! She's an absolute gem - warm, patient, and exceptionally talented. The entire experience was a joy from start to finish. Her attention to detail and choice of quality fabrics surpassed even those of big-name shops. The result? A breathtaking cathedral-length veil, meticulously handmade to perfection. Veil Recommendation!
I got married on 6/4/22 and my dress was simple so I really wanted a long dramatic detailed cathedral veil. I had a hard time finding something until I came across Basia Custom Headdresses in NYC.
The experience was a little bizarre (went to her apartment on the upper west side and went into her studio area), I was expecting a storefront so when we met Basia in her 4 floor walk up apartment I was thrown off (but now it’s funny!) . But the detail and skill of this woman - I can’t recommend her enough. She is kind and I felt like I was at my grandmas apartment. I asked if she wanted a deposit and she said “no that’s ok I trust you”. To be honest I’d much rather give my money to someone like this that I know will do an amazing job. That same day I went to about 5 other bridal shops and just wasn’t impressed with the veils but Basia - she has hundreds in her apartment, the most stunning to the most simple. Crowns, headpieces - all of it.
She made my veil custom (in 2 weeks) and my veil was 1/4 of the price that I would have paid at Kleinfeld for something similar. DM me for details if you’d like.

Having your veil created but Basia was a one-of-a-kind experience. She is a wonderful, kind woman who will create the veil of your dreams at the price of your dreams!! She ordered lace (from England!) for my veil that perfectly matched the lace of my dress. She created an incredible floor-length veil with blusher for a very reasonable price! She listens well and will advise you on what would look best with your wedding dress. Trust her!! She is the pro. -
