Barefoot Minded created the best vibe for our wedding!

Barefoot Minded was absolutely amazing! We can’t thank them enough for helping make our wedding day so perfect. We had listened to their music online and loved their vibe, but hearing them live at our wedding was something else entirely—they created such a beautiful atmosphere, and their sound truly brought everything to life.

So many of our guests commented on how incredible the music was throughout the event. From the ceremony to cocktail hour, every moment felt elevated thanks to them. They even helped us choose songs for our first dance and the Father/Daughter dance, which was such a thoughtful touch and really helped take the pressure off.

We’re so grateful they were part of our big day—highly recommend Barefoot Minded to anyone looking for live music that’s heartfelt, talented, and completely unforgettable!

Phenomenal music

This review is hard to write. How do you capture the feeling of perfect, pleasant music that absolutely set the mood for your entire ceremony and reception in words? Words always feel inadequate.

Let me start by saying Barefoot Minded was the thing we were the most sure about for our wedding and, as it turned out, it was with good reason! They were the uniting piece that made our ceremony and reception truly beautiful.

We booked the duo, which in our case was Oren and Levi. Both were friendly and approachable and clearly cared deeply about creating excellent music and the right vibe to match our ceremony. Oren was easy to reach and was able to handle many likely annoyingly specific requests without ever making us feel like we were asking for too much. It made us even more confident we had booked the right music for the day.

They played at both our ceremony and reception. At the ceremony, they captured such a perfect mood that our only regret was we didn’t spend enough time appreciating them. During the reception, whenever we stopped listening to conversation, we could hear their beautiful tropical sounds coast through the noise. They were also a pleasure to dance to and got even our small wedding up and dancing.

We honestly cannot recommend them enough. This is THE MUSIC you want for your Hawaiian wedding or get-together or whatever. Don’t look anywhere else. They are absolutely perfect.

The perfect wedding vibe

We had Levi and Oren from Barefoot minded play at our Maui wedding. They did a perfect job of reading the group and choosing the best songs to play which totally set the fun, laid back vibe we were going for. They were professional, fun and personable. All of our guests are still raving about how awesome they sounded and how fun they were. 10/10 definitely recommend. You will not regret hiring them to play for your special event.

World class musicians

This was an amazing band for any occasion and of course a wedding. We enjoyed Barefoot Minded! Their music was world-class and made our wedding feel special and intimate. They learned our first dance song for us and played it beautifully. We should have booked them for longer. Four hours wasn't enough. If you want live music and not a DJ for your event, this band is the one to pick. Pricing is very reasonable and the value for your event is exceptional. Thank you Barefoot Minded! Perfect band for Hawaii wedding!

We had a small wedding of 43 people. So I was not sure if people would actually end of dancing during it. But Barefoot minded was so amazing!! They got everyone up and having an amazing time!!! I am still getting so many compliments on them. We are also big 80s music fans and they learned a bunch of 80s songs to play! Would hire them again in a heart beat.

Amazing talent

Oren was wonderful to communicate with from afar. All of our guests raved about their talent. Another thing I truly enjoyed was Oren and his band mate learning a specific song for my "down the aisle" with my father. They made the whole experience of our wedding day, come together perfectly. We cannot recommend them enough!! MAHALO!

Great Aloha Vibes

Barefoot Minded was a great vendor to work with and provided amazing music at our ceremony and reception. Oren was awesome to work with and very communicative during the process and especially during COVID, he was very helpful in assessing our budget and helping us maximize their services and even changed his personal plans to accommodate our wedding when we had to reschedule.

Barefoot Minded had great vibes and loved the music they played during the reception. They were professional and fun, a great vendor to work with and a standout duo!

We would definitely recommend their services and cannot speak highly enough of the great vibes there added to our special day.

Perfection

The guys were recommended by Merriman's Kapalua. They were even better than we could've imagined! We were late to give them any preferences or direction, literally doing so 3 days before the wedding, and they still pulled it off. They heard my dad say he was a Dead Head and pulled out some Grateful Dead at the reception. It was all literally perfect. HIGHLY recommend.

Simply the BEST

Wow! Talk about incredible musicians! We were so lucky to have them play our wedding - they seamlessly blended our day from guests arrival through ceremony to cocktail hour and reception. We asked them to learn a song for our procession and I want to cry thinking about how beautiful it all sounded. After returning to the party from photos, we had guests saying how killer the band was - we couldn't be happier or more grateful!

Friendly and accommodating, we can't wait to work with Barefoot Minded soon!

We were so sad to cancel our Maui wedding in October 2020 but were so grateful to Oren for his kind and understanding viewpoint and willingness to work with us and be flexible with our deposit. In such a trying time it is so nice to work with people who are empathetic and get it and it was a relief that he made it so easy. I I can't wait to have Barefoot Minded play at our wedding celebration next year, thank you again for the kindness!

They are so talented!

Best live wedding music!!!

I cannot express enough how positive it was working with Oren! Everything from our first contact to the end was positive. We received SO MANY positive comments from our wedding guests about how they enjoyed Oren’s music. It really added a fun, classy, beach wedding vibe. Oren does everything in his power to make sure he provides the kind of music and sound system you would like for your event. 20 stars for his professionalism!!! I would highly recommend working with him and would reach out to him in a heart beat if I am ever again planning any event on Maui. SUPER!!!!

Jamin' Wedding!

Oren is the best!

Oren gave us the best experience ever. His voice is so beautiful that all your guests would love it! My flower girl wants to start learning Ukulele after my wedding :) Highly recommended!

Beautiful Cermeony Thanks to Oren

Oren was so easy and flexible to work with. We could not have been happier with our ceremony music. It was simply perfect. He really put the cherry on top of our beach front wedding. He was also super responsive with emails, and had no issue tweaking one of our processional songs for us. I am so happy we picked him. I have watched our ceremony video a couple of times now, and can't believe how perfect he sounded. Couldn't be happier with this decision. Thanks Oren!

Maui Wedding May 2019

Planning a wedding isn't always an easy experience, particularly when planning from the other side of the world (Australia). Finding vendors can be difficult when you can not meet or preview them prior to booking. For us, the music and entertainment was very important as we felt it really set the mood for the day. Barefoot Minded were the first vendor we booked once our venue was confirmed. Not only was Oren always very quick to respond to any questions or queries we had, he was always flexible and patient with our planning when parts of the plan would change along the way. The website was easy to navigate and we were always left feeling comfortable and confident we had picked the right entertainment for our day. Barefoot Minded far exceeded our expectations and delivered exactly what we were looking for on the day. We are still hearing comments from our guests about how fun and perfect they were. We would 100% recommend their services and if we had the chance we would absolutely book them again. We absolutley LOVED having Oren and Barefoot Minded playing at our wedding. We recently got married and all of our guests kept talking about how great they were. We definitely could have had them play the whole night. Oren learned two new songs for us, and we had them play our ceremony music, cocktail hour, first dance and into a bit of dinner. Then we had our DJ take over later--- but as I said, we could have totally had them play the music for the dance floor. Everyone was having such a good time and they truly have a great island sound! HIGHLY recommend!

We hired Oren to accompany us during our 10 year wedding anniversary vow renewal at the Ritz Carlton in Kapalua. From our first email, Oren was responsive, professional and so accommodating! He even learned a Hebrew song and played it perfectly! It truly brought us back to that magical moment 10 years ago! Thank you so much Oren! See you in another 10 years for our 20th!!!

Oren and Junior played our wedding on Maui in March and these guys are the best! They learned our song for me to walk down the aisle to, they perform with Aloha, and are just genuinely excited to be doing what they’re doing. They are so stoked and it shows through their music... what a wonderful addition to our wedding! I knew I wanted to have Barefoot minded perform but it is really validating when after the wedding your guests are still talking about the musicians that played. They are amazing with responsiveness and making sure to work out any kinks or potential hiccups ahead of time. Things that you don’t think about as a bride and groom, these guys have got you covered! These guys made my wedding! The beautiful scenery of Kihei was more than enough to make our wedding amazing, but these two took it out of this world. The only complaints my guests had was that they couldn't listen to this amazing duo the whole wedding. Thank you for making a special day even more amazing!

We LOVED Barefoot Minded!! They were awesome on day and totally added to the vibe of the ceremony and cocktail hour. They were very professional and took the job seriously. They were prompt about playing awesome songs on any quiet moment (ie. signing the wedding license) during the ceremony. They also were great during cocktail hour getting our guests excited for the night ahead. Throughout the planning process they were very responsive and reliable. If I would definitely recommend them if you are getting married on Maui!!

Barefoot Minded was the perfect addition to our Welcome Reception in Maui on the eve of our wedding. They truly embody the spirit of Hawaii and provide a fun and laid back experience for any event. Both members were engaging and wanted us to have the best time! They were also extremely flexible and allowed one of our friends to play a song he had prepared for our special night. I wish I could experience the party and their lovely music all over again. We really, really enjoyed Barefoot Minded and would hire them for another event in a heartbeat! It was such a fun night!

I was lucky enough to secure Barefoot Minded for my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. They exceeded my expectations to say the least. They were energetic and a blast and created such a relaxing and fun vibe for my guests as they hung around and waited for the ceremony to start. They played the songs I requested for the ceremony perfectly -- I was blown away. Hurry & book them as soon as you decide to get married in Maui! It'll make your night even more unforgettable.

AMAZING! INCREDIBLE!! EXTRAORDINARY!! There are not enough words to express the TALENT of Barefoot Minded!

We did a lot of research to determine which band we wanted at our wedding and hands-down Barefoot Minded was the PERFECT pick. They were a DREAM to work with which made all the difference in planning our destination wedding! Their music gave the perfect island sound to our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. From helping us pick ever-so-special music for our ceremony featuring the ukulele, to playing FUN beachy music during our cocktail hour and mixing pop sounds with reggae for the reception, Barefoot Minded provided the perfect island vibe to our wedding day! Our guests LOVED their music and the next day, we received so many COMPLIMENTS about their music from others staying at Napili Kai Beach Resort!

When looking for music that will give an island vibe to your wedding and reception, Barefoot Minded is a must! Oren and Junior are simply amazing and will give the perfect Hawaiian feel to your special day. They did so for ours and we cannot say enough about them – they made our wedding day even more than we could have hoped for! Don't hesitate - book them, you'll be so very happy that you did!

These guys are the real deal!!! They were so incredible and added the perfect laid back Hawaiian feel that we wanted. Our guests raved the music and still are 6 months later! If I had to plan our wedding over again, I would choose them every single time. I would recommend Barefoot Minded to anyone currently looking for wedding entertainment. We are planning our next trip back to Maui and hope to catch them at Whalers Village ??

We were SO HAPPY that we chose Barefoot Minded to be a part of our wedding :) We had Oren and Junior play for our ceremony and our cocktail hour and they did such an amazing job! They truly live and represent the spirit of Aloha in everything they do. Not only were they extremely professional throughout the planning process (we told them what we wanted and they delivered everything seamlessly) but their music is a perfect complement to any Hawaii wedding. My wife wanted traditional music during our processional - all I can remember is seeing her walk down the aisle, the ocean waves crashing behind us and hearing this perfect island rendition of Pachabel's Canon. It brought tears to my eyes. Our cocktail hour was equally amazing. Barefoot Minded pivoted perfectly to for our 1.5 hour cocktail hour to play awesome, upbeat, beachy songs for our guests to enjoy the epic Maui sunset. Our guests LOVED Barefoot Minded, couldn't get enough of them and are still talking about how talented they were. Our wedding would not have been the same without Oren and Junior's energy, love and beautiful music. I love these guys and I know you will too :)

My Husband and I hired Barefoot Minded to perform during our Ceremony & Cocktail Hour and we cannot recommend them enough! All of our guests came up to us at some point during our wedding and raved about their performance. We love music so much and wanted to make sure we picked musicians that really set the tone for our laid back beach wedding and we were not disappointing. Even with everything going on, Oren & Junior made sure to come find us to congratulate us on our wedding before they left the venue which we really appreciated! I do not think I can say enough words to show my appreciation of these guys.

I heard about barefoot minded from a friend that introduced me to surfing years ago. He really digged their island vibes, once I heard them, I instantly understood what he meant. Out of pure coincidence, my fiance and I saw Oren play live at Lahaina a couple days before he would play at our wedding. I dabbled in music a little myself over the last 20 years and I instantly recognized their distinct sound. I told my wife, " Hey I think these are the dudes we will have play at the wedding." And when we looked at their barefoot I was like, "I'm pretty sure these are the guys!". An insane coincidence, and one that made us confident that we chose the perfect band and the rest is history.

Music is such a key portion of any wedding. And these guys are simply awesome! My only advice would be to get these guys scheduled up for your wedding or event asap! They are an amazing group and they truly made our wedding reception something special at the Grand Wailea in Maui. We know we loved em, but we also got so many amazing comments from our guest on how excellent these guys were! Oren and Junior went above and beyond to make it a great night. We had such an amazing time. Truly a special group! Highly recommended!

If we ever have another event in Maui we will totally call on these awesome dudes again!

The guys were super easy to work with; we had them do an acoustic set for a very intimate set, and they were very flexible. Although I don't plan to get married again, we will have to find a reason to book them again. Highly recommended!

If you're looking for a band that sounds like Jack Johnson meets John Mayer meets the Lumineers - then hire these guys!

When we first went on a search for wedding music, we came across Barefoot Minded and simply fell in love with their music and island vibe. To our dismay (well almost!), they were originally booked for another event on our date (so book them quickly!) - but we couldn't have lucked out more when we found out that they became available to us for our date! The stars aligned for us and we got all of our dream vendors!

We worked with Barefoot Minded to play our ceremony music and cocktail hour music, and also worked with their friend Chris (Clarity Entertainment) to be our after party DJ (who was also awesome!).

Barefoot Minded was extremely responsive during our planning process, super positive, energetic, excited, and so so kind - and did I mention - talented? They did such an excellent job at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, put their own islandy/reggae twist on our favorite songs, and impressed us and all of our guests.

It rained for an hour on our wedding day, and Barefoot Minded had their equipment already set-up outdoors (where our ceremony was), but they simply grabbed their equipment and quickly hid it from the rain in our hotel's beach shack, and brought it all back out post-rain, without any complaints of playing post-rain. They were so great!

We even went to watch them perform live before our wedding, and felt like we were at a concert for Jack Johnson, John Mayer, or The Lumineers. Their voices are simply incredible. We can't tell you how many times we listened to their YouTube videos pre-wedding, simply because we just loved their voices and music.

If you want a great music duo that will make your guests feel like they're at a professional concert on the island - hire Barefoot Minded!

Our wedding was awesome because of all the talented people that were a part of it. After reviewing wedding options online for many months we came across Barefoot Minded. We wanted Barefoot Minded to play at our wedding so much that the date of our wedding was partially decided based on the bands availability. We can not express how great they are and were at our wedding. If we had the opportunity to plan our wedding again we would choose Barefoot Minded every time. They are phenomenal. To anyone currently in the market for a great band at your wedding, this band is the best.

My husband and I had Barefoot Minded play our wedding in September in Maui. These guys came highly rated from our wedding coordinator but exceeding my expectations! Oren and Junior played our entire evening starting with parents and bridal party processional and into the evening fun. Not only do they play amazing acoustic island-style music but they have the experience to know how to keep the dance floor full with DJ sessions as well. My most favorite thing about them though was their attitudes, they were genuinely happy to be a part of our day and share in the joy. They were polite and professional from my first correspondence with them until they bid us farewell at the end of the evening. You will not be disappointed booking with Barefoot Minded, they are worth every single penny!

Barefoot Minded was AMAZING in every way. I got married at Plantation Gardens in Kauai. I found Barefoot Minded online when searching for wedding music in Hawaii almost a year ago. We didn't hesitate for a second on the decision to fly them over from Maui for the wedding after listening to their music, reading their reviews, and their level of responsiveness was incredible right off the bat. They were one of the first vendors we decided on. We knew we had found something very special. We decided to hire them for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and music during dinner. We had them for a little over 4 hours and loved every second of it. We ended the night with a DJ from Kauai -- it was the perfect combo. Oren and Junior learned the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to and they did an amazing job. It was very special, it was the same song my mom walked down the aisle to 35 years ago. They also let my Uncle plug in and play our first dance song. I cannot say enough good things about Oren and Junior -- they were such a special part of our day and were a dream to work with which makes all the difference when planning a destination wedding. We had 100 guests at our wedding and everyone was raving about Barefoot Minded. Hurry up and book them, you will not regret it! I can't wait to have the chance to see them play again. We recently got married in Kihei and the highlight of the wedding for both me and my new wife, as well as our guests, was definitely Barefoot Minded.

We had discussed if we wanted to hire Barefoot Minded for just the reception or if we wanted to have them play for the entire day. In the end we had them play for the ceremony, cocktails and the reception and we are so glad we did. They were incredible. Not only are they great musicians but they are also two very nice, down to earth gentlemen. They played a mixture of classic Hawaiian music as well as top 40 which was a big hit for the older and younger crowd. They also learned a new song for us on short notice and played it while the bride walked down the aisle.

Barefoot Minded made the most important day of our life a 10 out of 10. We would confidently recommend Barefoot Minded to anybody getting Married in Maui!

My wife and I could not have been more pleased with the music provided by Barefoot Minded Duo.

The selection process for a vendor was not easy as we were both residing in Australia and USA (NJ) respectively at the time. As you can imagine, we had to go through our share of online reviews and word-of-mouth suggestions, and I mean A LOT. After reviewing some of their videos online - their website is great too - we decided it was EXACTLY what we were looking for: cool, fun and laid back, yet still local premium entertainment! From their immediate professionalism to easy-going attitude, we found them to be an excellent vendor to work with. They were extremely understanding and responsive to all our questions/enquiries leading up to the big day!

Upon conclusion of the wedding, we received RAVING reviews from our guests who actually were chanting "we want more Barefoot Minded"! ...I ended up selecting a bunch of songs prior that we preferred from their greater list and they inserted them perfectly at times when we needed something slower and/or faster. While we didn't have a formal dance floor, they managed to get everyone up and dancing throughout the cocktail hour (which we extended) and it really made the night.

Again, my wife and I cannot recommend Barefoot Minded Duo enough - if you're looking for excellent wedding music in Hawaii, you really need to go with Oren and Junior - they're simply amazing!

These guys are AH-MAZING!!! Honestly they set the perfect mood and atmosphere for our sunset elopement in Maui. I could not think of anyone better then these two to play at our wedding. It was so intimate and romantic. They have amazing voices and play so well with one another. They play all kinds of music and have awesome advice for what to play when. It was so so so perfect. Barefoot Minded are top notch professionals who really enjoy what they do!

Oren and Junior both were great at our wedding on Maui. They worked with us to learn a new song for our first dance, went over playlists multiple times and just did an outstanding job to keep both the ceremony and reception going. Our reception was 50+ attendees and they were able to play acoustic without any issues. They had the right approach every time we asked for a certain part of the reception to happen, always on point when it came to our pre-selected songs.

My sister surprised me by having Oren play the Ukulele at our beach wedding. We weren't originally planning on having any music, frankly because we don't have a lot of money! As I showed up to the beach, I see a guy playing a bunch of modern love songs on his ukulele (he didn't know any Jethro Tull though, which needs to be remedied immediately). I talked with him a bit, not realizing that I was probably distracting from setting the ambience, but he was very easy going and didn't seem to mind me talking (I was the groom, so I suppose he couldn't ignore me completely).

To the important part: as my wife-to-be walked down the beach with her parents in hand, he began playing Somewhere Over the Rainbow, the Israel Kamakawiwo'ole version. My sister suggested that one, and it was a song that my wife and I did indeed love. I couldn't have imagined how much more powerful it was for me to see her walk down with Oren playing this song. What would have likely still been a nice moment brought me to tears much faster than I anticipated. One of the highlights of my life!

Then after we said our "I do's" and we were declared the Mr. and Mrs., he began playing the Longest Time by Billy Joel, our song, once again requested by my sister. She had to pay extra for him to learn it, but it was great considering this is a song we've associated with our relationship for the past 8 years.

Keeping in mind that I'm reviewing Oren as a music lover, not a casual listener: I highly recommend him! Made the moment that much more beautiful and made me forever grateful that my sister hired him.

Barefoot Minded did an absolutely amazing job of keeping in tune with the pulse of our wedding, perfectly complementing the atmosphere and energy as it shifted throughout the evening (for example, busting out tunes from "The Little Mermaid" when all of our kid guests hit the dance floor).

Amazing! Barefoot minded is the best band we could have ever imagined to have for our wedding. They are very talented and have a great energy. Barefoot Minded provided live music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. They were absolutely great to work with and made the event very enjoyable! They sounded so great it was often hard to tell whether they were live or taking a break and playing a song from the playlist... they sounded that good! We received a lot of compliments from our guests and many of them said the Barefoot guys sounded better than the original artist! They were also a great resource for recommending songs for different parts of the ceremony and for the first dance(s). I left the rest of the playlist up to them and I loved every song they played. I highly recommend them!

We checked out a lot of options for our wedding. There are a plethora of options if you want very traditional Hawaiian musicians, which I felt would get a little boring for our guests. By far these guys were the best choice. They had the perfect tone for our beachouse wedding playing a good mixture of traditional songs, original songs, and a few covers with their own twist. We also had them finish out the night with their DJ, which ended the night in a party. If you want a fun wedding reception, hire these guys ASAP.

Barefoot Minded played our ceremony music and cocktail hour at Olowalu Plantation House and they were perfect!! Our guests told us repeatedly how much they enjoyed them and how fun they were to listen to. During our ceremony, they did a perfect version of Over the Rainbow and our recessional was to Knee Deep by Zac Brown Band. Both sounded great! My only regret was not being able to enjoy their music more as we were off taking sunset photos. Would definitely choose these guys again in a heartbeat. Thanks, Barefoot Minded!

If you are reading reviews, that means you are probably up in the air as to if you should go with live music and what musicians to go with. Don't think about it too hard. If Oren and Junior are available just do it. They flew over to Oahu to be a part of our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Be sure to have them play their originals at some point!

They were fantastic! Played our wedding ceremony, the happy hour during pictures, and the wedding reception. They had to play acoustically due to the restraints of the venue, but did a fantastic job. Sent them the names of the bands from the list online that we liked, and tried to play tunes that we liked. Had great recommendations on the recessional and processional that we used, and played the song we wanted to start the reception. Everyone loved them and were a huge success. They add just the needed touch for a hawaii wedding.

Oren & Junior (Barefoot Minded) were amazing entertainers for our wedding day. It was simple and stress free! Our wedding was on a catamaran and Barefoot Minded was so flexible and truly "read" the moments and played to suit the mood. I can not say enough great things about Oren & Junior, my husband and I were touched by their sincerity and excitement to be part of our day. In my opinion they are worth every penny to book them for your event. All our guests are still talking about our musicians and some made special trips to go see them preform live the night after our wedding. Much mahalo and love to Barefoot Minded!

If you are debating who to book for any event jump on the opportunity to get Barefoot Minded!!! Oren and Junior were amazing and the only negative thing on the day is my wife and I were away from the venue and didn't get to hear more... The feedback from our guests were simply that these guys were the best, don't hesitate before someone else books them ;-)

To some up our experience with Barefoot Minded in two words, completely awesome!

We were instantly impressed by listening to their music online and watching their videos. Their vibe was exactly what we had been searching for in musicians and we were so excited they had availability. All dealings with Barefoot Minded were professional and incredibly prompt. They were kind enough to learn "Life is Better With You" by Michael Franti for our processional and they created the perfect rendition of it. Plus, they provided us with a sound bite of it as a keepsake.

They had our guests dancing during cocktail hour and even let our cousin sing/play a song with them :) We could not have asked for anything better. If you are considering booking them, DO IT! Oren and Junior are the perfect pair of musicians to set the tone for a great party. Not to mention, they are both incredibly nice, genuine and a pleasure to work with.

Barefootminded was the best thing I could have done for my wedding! Having the change of pace halfway through the night was seamless and fun! The live music for our ceremony, cocktail and dinner portion was so impressive! They played the exact songs I wanted them to and I never once needed to tell them. They were easy to listen to and so entertaining. I didn't want them to stop playing! Not to mention, they were so affordable I can still barely believe it! This was one of my top decisions for me and they exceeded every single one of my expectations! I would definitely find an excuse to book them again if I could :)

The guys were great. Very easy to work with and their cool island sound gave our wedding and cocktail hour the exact vibe we wanted. Many of our guests commented on how awesome their set was. They absolutely nailed it!

We couldn't have been happier with our experience! Barefoot Minded was the first thing we booked after setting the date and location of our Maui wedding. They came highly recommended, and after looking into other musicians, the decision was easy. Working with Oren and Junior was great! We asked them to learn two new songs for our ceremony, and we ended up liking their renditions even better than the originals. Oren and Junior were very friendly and professional. All of our guests loved the music, and many of them were still talking about it days after the wedding. Some of our guests even attended their show a few days after the wedding. We were so impressed with Barefoot Minded. Living in Dallas and getting married in Hawaii we went online and found this duo. We didn't know what we would get but we could not have been happier or more impressed. They were so responsive, called the day before and were very early for our wedding. Barefoot Minded was awesome! We had them at our wedding last week and we were told multiple times how great the music was! My wife and I were planning a wedding in Maui and we wanted an island vibe for our music. The service that we were using for the planning of the wedding provided us with samples of musicians that were mediocre at best. My wife found Barefoot Minded online and made contact with them. Unbeknownst to me, I set out on a search and found Barefoot Minded and made contact too. The end result was that Oren and Junior from Barefoot Minded were exactly the style we were looking for. They delivered on everything they promised and more. The planning was easy. They were extremely flexible and responsive. We asked them to learn two new songs for the wedding and reception and they rocked both. I have nothing but outstanding things to say about musical abilities and professionalism. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for a band with a great island feel.

We booked Oren from barefoot minded to play solo for our wedding ceremony and part of the reception that followed. We were truly blown away with how friendly, professional and accommodating he was throughout the entire process from booking to playing the day of the event. Barefoot Minded were amazing!! We hired Oren to play a solo for our ceremony and he was then accompanied by his duo at our cocktail hour. He waited around all day to play for us (we had a large gap between ceremony and cocktail hour) and all I wish is that we had kept the duo on for the entire evening!!!!

Oren was amazing!!! He played the ukulele for our ceremony and waited around all day to play at our cocktail hour with his duo partner. I received many comments about how amazing they were and if I could redo the day I would have had them play for the entire evening not just the cocktail hour. Barefoot minded, in my opinion, is the perfect way to set the tone to any wedding! We hired them to play during the cocktail hour and they were fantastic. All of our guests enjoyed watching the sunset, while listening to the laid-back, yet fun and energetic, styles of these guys. My husband and I wanted to dance our first dance to one of Jack Johnson's new song off his new album. Barefoot minded were kind enough to learn the song for us and they played it so well!!!!! Barefoot Minded are great! We wanted a chilled out, laidback vibe to our small wedding, and they provided exactly what we requested. Oren emailed me before the event to ask about any details/song requests and worked seamlessly with my wedding coordinator at Gannons (Wailea, Maui). We hired Barefoot Minded for our wedding, which involved the back deck at Merriman's, followed by the beach, and then back to the deck. We seriously could not have been happier. They warmed up our crowd on the deck while we took pictures on the beach. Then they played the perfect music during our ceremony (all music of their own choosing, we didn't even make special requests). After dinner, they played lively enough music that our little group was able to get some dancing in. We got great feedback from our guests afterwards. We could not have been happier.

What a fantastic band. We felt so privileged that we could have them at our wedding - from the opening wedding dance to the final close our guests and ourselves were just enthralled. The band plays predominantly acoustic folk but also played excellent pop, rock, blues and reggae. We can't recommend this band enough.

Barefoot Minded made our destination wedding complete. We had our wedding at Merriman's restaurant in Kapalua Bay on their back deck. BFM played acoustic style music which really brought our family and friends together (40 of us!). We wanted a laid back island beat with modern day song "covers" that everyone could enjoy and sing along to...they definitely delivered. By the end of the night we had everyone jamming to the bongos and dancing around the fire pit singing along (even the older folks!). People were interlocking arms and swaying to the beats. They helped to kindly facilitate moving the crowds to do things like transition from cocktail hour to reception, our first dance and toss the bouquet. They were professional and just all around fun, cool guys. They felt like part of our friend circle and we are grateful to have been able to have them play for our event. Even weeks after the wedding we have people telling us how much fun they had at the reception and specifically that they thought the band was awesome. I definitely recommend these guys for your special event or wedding.
