  Wedding Venue

  During our search for a wedding ceremony and reception venue we were very fortunate to come across South End. We had grown up in the area and knew they hosted events, but it was our first time experiencing it since it is primarily a private gym/club. You wouldn't know that; otherwise, it is a hidden gem of a venue space.
  
  The venue has a large outdoor garden area with a gazebo for the ceremony, a lobby area with a side bar for the cocktail hour area, and a banquet room that is spacious but also felt intimate at the same time for our 170+ guests. The banquet room also has its own much larger bar area that never felt crowded because of how spacious it is. There is a ton of available free parking for your guests, but it can be confusing as the entrance sign directs guests to small lot to the right while the club and the majority of the parking is to the left. If you have your ceremony in the garden, be aware that it is located directly next to a local airport so there may be planes taking off and landing during your vows.
  
  The venue works with Elegant Event Decoration and Catering and our experience with them was also great (separate review for them). Other than a backdrop behind the sweetheart table to cover an oddly placed doorway, we didn't need many decoration upgrades to the already great looking banquet room. While for the ceremony area, we didn't add any decorations at all because the space itself is already beautiful.
  
  The banquet director Diana was easy to work with and quick to respond. Due to the pandemic we had to reschedule a couple of times. There was no issue each time we had to postpone or to check in to confirm what the current venue event policies were, while understanding that everyone was at the mercy of the pandemic and the continuously changing local guidelines. Compared to other venues we were looking into in the South Bay region, the rates absolutely blew the rest of them away and worked incredibly well within our budget. Also as part of hosting an open bar, Diana threw in the champagne toast and coffee station as complementary parts to our package. We were also able to rent out chiavari chairs through them at an amazing rate. We would host an event here again.

  Amazing Team all around!!

  Highly recommend this venue!! I had such a great experience since the moment I booked with them. Diane who originally booked me was very helpful and answered all my questions in our first meeting. She got me in good hands with the catering team Carlos and Karla with Elegant Event Decorations and there wonderful staff and the rest was history. They were really patient with me, took care of all my needs, helped me with making last minute adjustments when needed and really brought my dream wedding to life. Thank you South End for making this day amazing!! You all rocked our socks! Love- The McLeods

  We just had a wedding reception at SouthEnd and everything more than exceeded our expectations. The reception room was transformed into a breathtakingly beautiful setting for our many friends and family members. We had close to 250 guests and a live band, all of which fit well given the spacious main party room and adjacent lobby area. Diane the banquet manager was a pleasure to work with, making great recommendations prior to the event and making sure event went smoothly on all counts. Elegant Catering did more than was expected for much less money than other like companies. Carlos the owner and his wife Rosa were easy to work with and took all the headache out of planning a truly 'one stop shop' wedding event. They took care of all the food (which was delicious), servers, set up, furniture, flowers and even provided us with a gold mirror dance floor to give the room the look of pure 'elegance' we were hoping for. The club has ideal parking, privacy and a setting that feel like you and your guests have been whisked away to an exclusive resort. All in our own backyard of Torrance... Thus our many local guests did not have to travel far to enjoy our special day. I would highly recommend you give this venue a visit for any occasion you are planning!

  Love the venue only thing I did not like was I was told that no club members would be there so everytime we took pictures we had to wait on them to pass by

  Short and Rude

  We're planning an intimate event. If we're able to pay the min requirement - what difference does it make if we have 25 guests or 100 guests. Completely unprofessional
