Beautiful Cakes
My experience with Bake Me a Cake for our wedding cake was simply exceptional. From the very first contact, their team showed a level of professionalism and dedication that gave me complete confidence. They helped us choose the perfect design and flavors for our cake, taking into account all of our preferences and tastes.
On the wedding day, when we saw the cake for the first time, we were absolutely blown away. Not only was it visually stunning, but the quality of the ingredients and the craftsmanship was evident in every detail. The cake was perfectly decorated, with precision and elegance that exceeded our expectations. It's clear that each piece is made with care and passion!
But most importantly, the taste was spectacular! Each layer of the cake was soft and fluffy, and the flavors were exquisite, perfectly balanced between sweetness and subtlety. Every single guest was amazed, and many even asked for seconds (and thirds!).
If you're looking for a wedding cake that not only looks incredible but also offers unmatched quality and flavor, I can't recommend Bake Me a Cake enough. Their service was flawless, and the final result was a cake that made our day even more special. Thank you so much for everything – I definitely recommend them 100%! -

Simply superb. My husband and I were dismayed by the prices for wedding cakes when we initially started planning. Thank goodness we discovered Bake Me A Cake! They brought our simple yet elegant cake dream to life with a more than affordable price tag. And it was so delicious!! When Hurricane Irma hit, one of the first things I saved from our freezer was our anniversary slice, I was so anxious about not being able to enjoy our cake a second time :) -

If you are looking for a bakery to make your dream wedding cake or cupcakes a reality, look no further! Michael and the others at Bake Me A Cake do amazing work! We had a two tier cake with several different cupcakes and our guest loved them! We literally had only a handful of cupcakes left at the end of the night. The take home cake is amazing too!!! We highly recommend them for any occasion! Thank you for making our experience so easy and hassle free!!! -

Our wedding cake Mercedes designed for us exceeded our expectations! We gave her an idea of what we liked and wanted it to match the theme of our wedding (outdoor/barn/rustic), she ran with it, and the final result was absolutely beautiful! From beginning to end the process was very easy going and we had no issues regarding communication, payment, etc. I would definitely use Bake Me a Cake for another event and recommend it to a friend. I judge weddings by cakes, so when it came to my wedding, I knew I needed to find "the cake". Bake Me A Cake has the most delicious cake we tried when looking for our wedding cake. When we went to our tasting, we saw so many beautiful cakes and cupcakes for customers walk out the door, each was prettier than the last. I knew we'd regret not going with Bake Me A Cake and they were great. Always reachable and no issues day of! They even allowed me to add on two surprise birthday cupcakes a week before the event with no hassle! Highly recommend Bake Me A Cake! -

Mercedes and her entire family made us the most beautiful wedding cake. I provided her with two photographs from Pinterest, and she combined them and then made them even more beautiful than the photos, truly an artist. I had multiple people during the wedding tell me it was the most beautiful cake they had ever seen, and I have to agree, the cake was like nothing I had ever seen. It was stunning, and beyond that it was very moist and delicious. They also transported it to St. Augustine, FL for us, and it arrived and was set up perfectly. They also provided a gorgeous base which added to how beautiful it was. They were also very accommodating when we needed a specific time and date for the tasting, since we planned the wedding from California and were only in Florida for a week in person. Hire them! -

Bake Me A Cake was wonderful to work with. The day we initially met for the consultation and tasting with Mercedes I knew it was the right place to get our cake from. Mercedes was so helpful designing the perfect cake that met our budget. The flavors and fillings were all amazing. We loved the chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry filling. When I walked into the ballroom and saw my wedding cake I was overjoyed with tears! The cake looked incredible and all the guests raved about the flavors. Thank You Mercedes and Bake Me A Cake! Working with Bake Me A Cake was like a dream and can't wait to celebrate more special occasions with your wonderful cakes. -

We did 300 mini cupcakes with a 6" round cake topper for our wedding with Bake Me A Cake. They did an amazing job with listening and drawing out the designs I wanted and the final product was perfect!

Mercedes at Bake me a Cake is such a wonderful person as well as a talented artist. She is so sweet and caring which you don't find to often as you go thru the wedding day process. The staff couldn't have been more helpful with getting this cake put together on such short notice. When I saw the cake I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. What a Gift. It looked as if it was done in lace with two beautiful Magnolia's that looked as if someone plucked them off a the tree. Amazing it was all eatable. People couldn't believe you could actually eat it. Not only was the cake beautiful but each layer was delicious. The carrot cake was my favorite. There are to many words to describe how beautiful this cake was. -

I felt so comfortable with this company. They were accommodating from start to finish. I loved the way the cake looked and LOVED how it tasted. Bake me a cake did our wedding cake for June 5th 2011 and the cake was absolutely stunning! We're still getting compliments on how beautiful it was and how great it tasted! When my husband and I ordered the wedding cake we were a little skeptical since the location was very tiny and just seemed like a small bakery but when the owners started to sketch our ideas of what we wanted and what we wanted it to look like, it was magical.. No matter how small the detail she can do it. I thought the sketch was nice, but the cake as AMAZING!! We never even got to do a tasting since we live in Texas, and they didnt have any samples ar the time. But we did have a cupcake and we made our decition of that. And it was the best thing we could do. I highly recommend to get your wedding cake here. It can be a little pricey but WAY!!! worth it.. -

If you want the best, go to Bake Me a Cake! This company doesn't do a lot of advertising because they get so much business from just word of mouth--and trust me, if you get ANY kind of cake from them, you'll recommend them to everyone else.
There are a lot of talented cake decorators in the central Florida area, but Bake Me a Cake can meet and surpass them, not to mention that it has the best tasting cakes in the entire state. They have patents on their decorating tools! -

Our wedding cake was amazing! It was more than we could have dreamed of - my mom was able to get a sneak peak before the event and it brought her to tears! It was too beautiful for words! Bake Me A Cake did an amazing job with our wedding cake. Each tier was a different flavor and each flavor was delicious. The cake was a huge hit with all of our guests and a hit with my husband and me. We tried each tier! We chose amaretto, marble and German chocolate. Our wedding cake was absolutely phenomenal! We brought a photo from a magazine to Merecedes, the cake artist, as a starting point. She drew an exact replica, but customized it with us to make it a little different and our own. It cake was extremely unique and we had very high expectations because we were so in love with the photograph I had found. Our cake more than met our expectations, it was gorgeous and our guests raved about how it looked and how good it tasted all night. Bake Me a Cake is a higher end vendor as far as their product and well worth the money. They do give you what you pay for. -

The cake was gorgeous. It was great sitting down with the owner and creating a cake from a blank sheet of paper. She is truely an artist! The cake itself was wonderful! I'd recommend the peanut butter cake with chocolate ganache filling. It's amazing! In addition, they give you a separate anniversary cake that comes in a box prepared for freezing. On our one year anniversary it was just as wonderful as our wedding day. Definately well worth the price. Thank you! -

All I wanted for my birthday was a beautiful cake, and Bake Me A Cake exceeded my expectations! My husband and I had a wonderful time talking with Mercedes at our consultation and I left knowing that she truly understood my vision. She even gave me an impromptu demonstration of her technique for making a lace pattern on the fondant. When I finally got to see it, the cake was so incredibly beautiful that it broke my heart to have to cut into it! I HIGHLY recommend Bake Me A Cake for any special occasion cake. We contacted Bake Me a Cake three months out from our wedding and they immediately took our ideas. They were very friendly and willing to try out my ideas. For being unsure if they could produce sugar bird cake toppers, they did an AMAZING job. The entire cake turned out wonderfully but the topper is really what set it apart. Plus, it was delicious! -

To begin with Bake Me a Cake was slow to get back to me, but then once we were able to begin things they were very easy to work with and there pricing was extremely reasonable. Since we had a small wedding, only 20 people total including the bridal party, we didn't need a huge cake or anything overly fancy. We opted for a 7 inch round cake (red velvet) and 60 cupcakes (mix of red velvet and peanut butter). The cake was decorated in fondant to look like clouds... to go with our cake topper. I was a little nervous about how it would turn out but it was absolutely fantastic from the design to the taste! Both the cake and cupcakes were so delicous! We overjudged the amount of guests who would attend so there were abviously left over cupcakes but everyone was more than happy to be able take extras home.... including the bride and groom! -

Not only do they have yummy cakes but also lots of other great bakery items as well. The price was a little on the high end but it was worth it!

For Valentines day, I picked up a few different things to bring along to the dinner I planned for my wife and I. They are difficult to schedule appointments with since they don't meet with clients every day of the week. Also, samplings are difficult to do- they usually run out by noon and they don't have all the flavors available to taste. I ended up picking hazelnut without ever sampling it.... but this is because all of their samples were very good and their cakes are amazing! They do a beautiful job and create very clean, classic and elegant cakes. I drew out a sketch and they created exactly what I drew. I was very happy with the outcome, despite some early difficulties with setting a meeting and tasting. They are very busy but so nice and helpful. -

I had Bake Me A Cake design and make both my wedding cake and the groom's cake. Mercedes was great, she worked with me and my husband and was able to sketch and design our ideas and make our cakes exactly how we wanted them. We only met with her once but we left feeling confident. Our cakes were the talk of the wedding. My husband loved his cake so much that he actually did not want to cut it. Not only did the cakes look great they tasted great as well. Bake Me A Cake was also able to work with Dragon Fly Custom Design's to coordinate our cake with our invitations. I ordered cupcakes for my event. While they were delicious they were NOTHING like what i ordered. They were supposed to be marron and purple but were red and blue. Not at all what we asked for
Let me preface this review by saying that I hate feeling the need to write this review. But I don’t want anyone to experience what I did.
I went to my initial meeting and was so excited about our cake. Mercedes has done cakes for both of my parents weddings and my sweet 16. She has also done other cakes throughout my lifetime that were extremely memorable so I was so excited to be working with her for my wedding cake. We had our initial meeting and everything seemed fine, it was supposed to be five tier cake the bottom which was to be a fake layer to look like a book and the middle tier was to be acrylic that had fairy lights in it. The theme was supposed to be starry night with subtle accents of the nerdy things that we like as well as having our three dogs little heads poking out of the cake. As you can see from the photo that is not at all what we got if you zoom in you also notice that there is multiple areas of cracking along the cake. None of the colors match and no point, did we ever ask for purple or navy blue fondant.
When I tell you that I was absolutely devastated that would be putting it mildly. I saw it unfortunately right before I walked down the aisle and had tears in my eyes for all of the wrong reasons as I walked down the aisle. My dad recommended her and I knew he was crushed seeing how upset I was. It honestly set the tone of the wedding off on a bad note. I was so upset that I asked them to put it in the back. We had no cake cutting moment and I was so upset about it that I didn’t even eat it. We had tons of people asking if one of our dogs died because only two were on the cake… couple this with the fact that two weeks later one of our dogs did die and we knew making it to our wedding was probably one of the last things she’d do.
TLDR; my cake was nothing at all like we asked for and it had tons of cracks down the sides. The florals didn’t match anything and the only piece of the cake that even came close to being ok was the top layer. -

I paid $400+ dollars for a Wedding Cake that was sketched by Mercedes herself and the day of the wedding 07/27/2013, I received a totally different cake. When I addressed this issue with Michael; Mercedes son who works at the bakery his response was:
"Hi Ruth, I am sorry you were not happy with the cake. Everyone that saw the cake loved the way it turned out including everyone at the staff at the hotel. I am glad it tasted well. Please accept my sincere apology and I am sorry for what happened. Sometimes sketches are not exact and everyone who works with Mercedes always has a positive experience which is why we have been in business so long and so many other vendors recommend us. Again I am sorry about what happened but I hope it wasn't enough to ruin your entire wedding."
I am upset at the lack of concern they have towards the issue at hand and the way they handled my complaint. I have sent them messages on their Facebook page and they've erased it. I have also sent a message to Mercedes on Twitter who is yet to respond. I feel they gave me a cake that had been previously prepared prior to their move to their new location. It was clear to me when I dropped off the color swatch at their new location they were not set up for business, as everything was in complete disarray. The cake itself was dry, and the design that I paid for was not delivered. If they continue to ignore me I will pursue this matter.
