    Great service with a very nice bus!

    B&W showed up exactly on time and were fantastic the entire time they were there. The bus was very clean and the driver was very nice. Highly recommend!

    We used B&W to transport our wedding party for pictures for our wedding this past July. On time. Reasonable priced. Seamless booking experience. To top it off, our driver was incredibly sweet and we all enjoyed her company. We recommend!

    Honestly, this really made our wedding day so unique! We loved the idea of a trolley especially being from Chicago. Pam was our driver and she made sure we really enjoyed ourselves. Letting the bridal party play music. She knew where she was going without needing any guidance from us! It was one of the most memorable parts of our day. We love the pictures we got on the trolley and with the trolley. They are some of our favorite pictures. Definitely, a great company and they came to South Bend, Indiana for our special day!

    I used this vendor for their trolley in South Bend, Indiana. They were great! Very flexible with schedule changes and a great value compared to other vendors in the area. We attached a "Just Married" banner to the side and many guests commented on it. The driver was professional, courteous, safe & fun! I was in contact with the company months before the wedding through email and phone calls and they were quick to respond and professional. Overall, I would highly recommend B & W Charters. Thanks for making this aspect of my wedding stress free!

    This place was great! Used for a trolley for our wedding party and a shuttle bus to take our guest to/from our wedding reception! They worked with our budget and were very clean and professional!

    We selected B&W Charters for their trolley and 50+ passenger charter. We received excellent service from B&W throughout the booking process and especially the day of the wedding. They were flexible, courteous, and very, very accommodating. Thank you to Dale, our trolley driver, who took great care of us!

    Since we had the ceremony and reception on the same site, we wanted to provide transportation for our out of town guests, and those who were planning on boozin. I called several bus charters and was treated EXTREMELY poorly by one in particular. But B&W was SO nice, so professional, totally reasonable and our driver was THE BEST. I can't for the life of me remember his name, wish I could, b/c he made the night :)

    All in all, the service was perfect. Had nothing to worry about and never heard a complaint from guests.

    I worked with deb and she was great.

    They are very helpful in setting up a schedule.

    I communicated with them phone only and via email and they delIvered.

    It was pricey for me but in the end worth the cost so my guests could relax and not drink and drive.

    Exceeded My Expectations

    We rented a 47 passenger bus for our wedding in Watervliet, MI. B&W Charters was great to work with from the very beginning and were able to get a quote to me very quickly. They created a transportation schedule that worked with my timeline and needs and transported myself and my guests safely and on time. I would definitely recommend B&W to my friends and family in the future.

    I have to say I didn't personally use the shuttle I hired- it was for the guests, but everyone seemed to get where they were going so I think it worked out fine, and no one complained to me afterwards. They were nice to work with setting up the service and they had a bus big enough for all my guests. If I had to do it again I would have hired 2 smaller shuttles instead of one big bus because at the end of the night everyone had to wait for all the drunk people to find the bus and get on board which I hear took a little while. But I think it all went well overall. Prices seemed reasonable and they are pretty much the only shuttle service in the area. Book early so you can get the size vehicle you want.

    We rented two vechiles for our wedding on October 4th! We had one for the bridal party and one for the guests to and from the reception. The bridal party trolley was very fun and the driver was great! The only issue we had is that the speakers in the trolley did not work. It is hard to have a bridal party on a trolley with no music....luckily my maid of honor had a speaker we used. I heard nothing but good things about the bus for the guests so thank you.

    I used B&W Charter to shuttle guests to and from my wedding at the Blue Dress Barn. The helped answer a lot of my questions about timing and where to plan stops, so I appreciated that. And while I didn't specifically use the shuttle on my wedding day, most of my friends did and they really loved being able to come to the wedding, drink as much as they wanted, and not worry about driving. I didn't hear any complaints or issues, so I think everything went great.

    I would recommend B&W to a bride who wants to give guests the opportunity to have fun and not worry about driving. I would say you need a good idea of your hotel blocks, day of timeline, and number of guests needing transportation prior to booking. When I initially contacted them, they really couldn't give me information or quotes because I didn't have these answers.

    Overall, very satisfied!

    They were great! They allowed us to add decorations to the trolley we rented, and drove us around town for a little while. They also stopped at different locations for us so we could get out and take some photos.

    Did the job for not a lot of options around Benton harbor.

    Not the best with communicating leading up to the day but the day of they were great. Friendly and responsive. We had made our guests’ welcome bags with the shuttle information prior to the event and we found out the timeline that we had sent to the shuttle company a few weeks prior never was approved by their team. We ended up having to rent an additional shuttle to make our flow of events work.

    In addition, we had an after party and the bus had no music on it. This just led to a quiet ride and bored us a bit on the ride back to town. Having some tunes would have helped! They did what they had to do the day of and executed just fine but wasn’t anything too memorable.

    I was beyond thrilled to find a great looking trolley at an affordable price! The sales staff was very helpful. Unfortunately, the trolley apparently broke down the day of... So we were sent a charter bus that was just okay. I didn't hear anything the day of, they just sent the replacement. Would have hoped for a higher quality replacement, but this one did the job. We did receive a nice and prompt apology email and also were issued a partial refund, which was much appreciated! I was glad I didn't have to contact them after the fact, they took the initiative.

    BEWARE, IF SLIGHTLY OFF SCHEDULE WILL COMPLETELY SKIP STOPS ON SHCEDULED WEDDING ROUTE

    We used B&W charters two weekends ago for our wedding around Michigan City/New Buffalo/Three Oaks. We had to large charters and one trolley for the bridal party. The drivers were nice and they worked well with us to make a complex route for the three vehicles to make routes to pick up all our guest that were staying at multiple hotels around the area. The drivers were polite and timely.
    HOWEVER, the trolley that had the bridal party was supposed to drop us all off at the reception (Journeyman in Three Oaks), then go back to New Buffalo to pick up the grooms parents/grandparents, aunts/uncles, their friends and our friends. Three stops were supposed to be made after dropping us off. We were supposed to arrive at Journeyman around 4:30, but it was closer to 5 and the reception was supposed to begin at 5:30. Instead of the driver asking us if he should just skip the last three stops he just did NOT go. Therefore, the groom's parents and 30 other people were over an hour late to the reception because they had waited for the trolley and then ended up driving. This was EXTREMELY disappointing considering the effort and money we put in to making sure everyone was picked up, and the precious time his parents missed talking to guests and enjoying cocktail hour. I understand we were a bit late but we had the trolley until 1am, so there was no reason to just NOT go to three scheduled stops.

    I sent an email explaining what happened, asking if there could be some type of compensation/to prevent this from happening to further wedding parties. The office manager called and was VERY rude. He had the driver with him (who was a nice man, but he did make a mistake), and told us if was our fault that we got to the reception 25 minutes late and because we were "off schedule" the driver had the right to ignore the three stops.

    DO NOT BOOK THEM. I booked them for my wedding and not only were they a full TWO HOURS LATE, they did nothing to make up for it. Let me paint this picture: they a full two hours late and they were talking to people that entire time providing FALSE updates, saying they were 15 minutes away. So our entire wedding party, INCLUDING THE BRIDE AND GROOM, kept waiting because they were "around the corner' FOR TWO HOURS. It was such a waste of valuable time on our wedding day and I would never recommend them. Afterwards, they said it was "because we have an old trolley, sometimes they require extra care so we were late". That is no excuse. And that is why we pay over $1000 for transportation, so that we don't have to worry about "wear and tear" or being late ... especially on our freaking wedding day.

    Dear Maggie, we, at B&W Charters, regret that your transportation experience on your wedding day was unpleasant. We can assure you that our goal is to provide a flawless service. As a good faith offering, for the delay, we did partially refund your trip 3 days after your wedding. Unfortunately, we did have mechanical issues with one of our trolleys enroute and had to exchange it with another trolley, which resulted in a 2 hour delay. The driver was in touch with your Point of Contact (POC), eventually once she was able to reach her, to explain the situation. Your POC was aware of the drivers location, however, when the trolley arrived she was unable to advise the driver of the exact pick up, thus creating further delay. The trolley was "around the corner" at that time attempting to locate the party at the private rental home. It is our understanding that the remaining transportation for the rest of the day and evening did go as scheduled, even going beyond the originally scheduled end time. Again, as stated in July, we do extend our most sincere apology for the delay of transportation on your wedding day and do wish you all the best.

    Do not use B & W Charters! We booked a trolley for my daughters' wedding and they sent a party bus because of electrical problems. I understand things like that happen-but they only wanted to refund the difference between the trolley and the party bus instead of the whole amount. The contract was not fulfilled-we requested and paid for a trolley. My daughter has planned pictures on the trolley and she was very disappointed.

    In response to B & W Charters explanation-the other trolley was in St. Joseph-more than an hour away. It would have been probably at least 2 hours for them to get the other trolley and the bride and groom would have had to go out in the middle of the reception to get the photos they desired. My daughter was disappointed but declined their offer to go get the trolley from St Joseph because she was trying not to let this situation ruin her big day. And the clause about requesting a certain driver or vehicle was interpreted by me as we couldn't request a certain driver or certain trolley that we had reserved. Otherwise-what is the point of requesting a certain type of vehicle if they don't have to guarantee that you will get it. Also-the term party bus is used by many people for the type of vehicle that was supplied so call it what you will. And $100 was offered to us in the beginning and then they offered $50 more to cover the sign my daughter had bought for the back of the trolley for her Thank You card photos. Before booking-you should decide how upset the bride or groom and wedding party will be if for whatever reason your requested vehicle is not available on their big day. Also-the minimum hours for the trolley was 2 hours and the minimum we could have had on the mini bus was 5 hours so if we had known we were getting a mini bus the bride could have used it for other transport uses to use up the minimum hours. I don't appreciate in the response being accused of being inaccurate or misleading because that is not the case at all.

    The above review is misleading and inaccurate. This client did book a trolley. However on the date of the event during the pre trip inspection a previously undiscovered mechanical defect was detected. This would have compromised passenger safety. Hence, consistent with applicable Department of Transportation regulations we were prohibited from placing the vehicle in service. An effort was made to timely address/repair the noted vehicle defect but we were not successful as significant evaluation and corrective action was required.

    At the time, given the unavailability of the assigned trolley and not having another trolley available, the only other option that we had was to send the mini coach which was available. Although we recognize that the client would have preferred the trolley we were simply prohibited from using it. We do not offer nor have we ever provided party buses. The mini coach that was sent was nice, clean, and had a larger seating capacity than the trolley.

    Once the driver arrived at the pick-up he apologized for having to use this vehicle to the Bride and Groom. He also explained why that vehicle had to be used. Then the driver provided service as indicated on the charter. It should also be noted that the driver did ask the Bride and Groom if they would like him to go and get our other trolley that was currently out on another charter and bring it to them. This would be so that they could get the pictures they wanted on the porch. We understand that this would have been later than they would have liked, but the gesture was made on our part to try and provide this for them given the situation. The Bride and Groom declined this offer. At this point the service was concluded.

    Please also note that because of the mechanical nature of vehicles, although infrequent, they are subject to failure. This possibility is addressed in our contracts. Accordingly, on our standard charter bus agreement is states as follow, “We cannot guarantee the assignment of requested drivers or vehicles.” This is on the copy that we have on file at our office signed by this client. This contractual provision is in recognition of infrequent situations like this one. It should be noted that mechanical breakdowns occur on less than half of one percent of the total charters we have each year. This means we have a 99.5% success rate on providing the clients with exactly what they want. B & W Charters has been in business for over 30 years. We have a long consistent record of treating our customers with the care and respect they deserve.

    Most importantly though we didn’t leave the client sitting on the side of the road, we provided service for their group consistent with our service agreement.

    In consideration of their disappointment we offered this client a 25% refund off of the total cost they paid for the trolley and a letter of apology. This is more than the difference between the two vehicles rental costs. It is also within industry parameters given the nature of the issue.
