I went to b.Hughes to find a Mother of the groom dress; I had an outstanding experience and found the perfect dress with the courteous and professional help of Rachel Grimm, the store manager. I cannot give them a higher recommendation; this was a one time experience for me and b. hughes made it memorable and perfect.

I'd looked everywhere for a gown that suited me, even going so far as to do an episode of SYTTD: Atlanta, and the ladies at B. Hughes didn't disappoint! The gown I had my heart set on had only one sample gown that they had to have shipped in for one day before shipping it right back out. They ordered a custom sized gown for me and it was PERFECT when it came in. I haven't seen anything like it before or since.

I ordered my veil and shoes through B Hughes as well and everything came together so perfectly. Their recommended seamstress was so skilled and friendly (I'm a seamstress as well, but not crazy enough to alter my own gown) and she's who I send brides to for extra special alterations.

Rachel and B. Hughes were great to work with! Very friendly, great service and the best selection of dresses. My dress arrived early from the initial time we ordered it and their seamstress did an amazing job with the alterations.

B. Hughes bridal is hands down the best place to find your dream wedding gown! The staff was so helpful and professional. When I arrived at b. Hughes, I had already been to 4 dress boutiques and had tried on over 70 gowns, by this time, I was anxious to find my dress. B. Hughes's staff was so friendly and listened to what I wanted to find in a wedding gown. They were so accommodating and made me and my guests feel at ease. Even after I had purchased my gown, they did such a good job setting up alterations and ordering my veil. I would recommend every bride to go to b. Hughes to find breathtaking designer gowns.

My mother and the mother of the groom both purchased dresses at b Hughes. The selection of beautiful dresses in a variety of shapes made it the perfect spot to find the perfect fit for both mothers. On the day of the wedding both moms felt glamorous, beautiful and comfortable. Rachel and Karen were so accommodating and enthusiastic - it was a joy to work with both of them and easy to trust that your dress for the big day was in good hands. Their willingness to help us envision alterations to make the dresses custom fit for each mothers taste gave us a unique and great experience. I also bought my wedding earrings at b Hughes - they were classic but made a statement that completed my bridal look. Thank you to b Hughes for an excellent experience!

Wow, I can't say enough wonderful things about B Hughes and Allison Newby. My daughter's wedding is in April 2011. She had been to Arkansas and tried on dresses but nothing seemed to give her that warm and fuzzy this is it bride feeling. As soon as we walked in to B Hughes we knew this was the shop for us. The store is very inviting and has a very warm atmosphere. We were surrounded with beautiful couture gowns. B Hughes carries only couture. They also have a wonderful bridemaid department upstairs. Allison was so helpful and knowledgable about different styles and what fits the body the best. My daughter narrowed her search down to two dresses and finally decided on a beautiful Vera Wang gown with a rhinestone sash. It is gorgeous. It brought our party to tears. If you want to feel special and be pampered for your special day please try B Hughes. You won't be dissappointed.

B. Hughes was wonderful! The staff were so helpful and kind and the dresses were all gorgeous and clean!! There was no rush; my mother, sister and I felt welcome and taken care of in their lovely show room. The dresses were well maintained and beautiful- they helped fit the dresses to me so I'd have a good idea as to what they'd look like in my size. The Ramona Kaveza dress that I chose arrived on time and fit me beautifully. Overall, my experience was all I wanted and more! Thank you!

I had a wonderful experience working with B. Hughes. B. Hughes has a spectacular selection of designer gowns and the prices are reasonable. I planned my wedding from out-of-town and the women at B. Hughes were always flexible in scheduling my fittings and promptly responded to all of my phone calls. I would highly recommend B. Hughes!

The ladies at B Hughes were so wonderful to work with. They made gown shopping a breeze and were so personable. The first few times I called though, I had to leave a voicemail which were never returned. It wasn't until I got a hold of a person and made an appointment that everything began to go so smoothly.

The ring my husband got for me was from b. Hughes Bridal Formal , and it was a complete surprise. I didn't know he ordered it, but he told me afterwards. From the ring itself, I would have to say that it is a very beautiful and classy ring, looks very high quality.

b. Hughes was awesome! I had four bridal appointments and this was the only one that lived up to my expectations. Rachel was so attentive and fun to work with she makes the process of finding a wedding gown an enjoyable adventure. My mother and I both love our gowns and highly recommend this bridal salon if you want professionalism, high quality gowns and awesome people to work with. I was intent on a summer wedding and got engaged in February, Rachel alleviated all stress by opening up the salon early one morning to accommodate us. I can't speak highly enough of her professionalism and calming spirit....it's just what you need when the stress of it all could potentially consume you.

I loved my dress. They kept me updated on the status. We did have to have some of the groomsman have last minute changes because their tuxes didn't fit But overall good.

Allison was great. I had a very short time line to find a dress. She showed me everything that was available and checked on line for other options. My dress came in on time and she put me in touch with a great alterations lady. Made the wedding happen!

first off- the first and only place I looked for my dress. Loved my dress when it is all said and done. Allison was great and super helpful. Karen was excited and was involved in my dress selection process. A few months go by- my dress is in, I need to get my dress altered. The alteration lady's shop is like 110 degrees, air conditioner not working. It was close to closing time for B hughes. I come back down to the shop, I can tell they are annoyed that I'm in the showroom. I didn't get that warm and fuzzy feeling that I once had with them, I feel like they forget who you are. Overall, I wouldn't recommend going there. My dress was pretty, but expensive considering what it was. The customer service for the sale was great, not so much after that.

Major disappointment !!

How do you buy a $4300 wedding dress and end up spending another $3650 so she can wear it on her wedding day? This is how. Beware!! The shop owner is a great sales person but then.....

We purchased my daughter's wedding dress in February for a June 8 wedding. Because of out tight time line we had difficulty finding a dress that could be made and here in time for fittings ( or so we were told ) We selected a sample that was in the store from Lela Rose with full assurance that the alterations that would need to be made in order for the dress to fit properly and provide the coverage the bride wanted could be achieved. We endured 4 fittings, all resulting in failed attempts to do what had been promised could be achieved by Karen, the owner of the shop. The attempts to create modesty were simply to make the front of the dress tighter and tighter, which because of the design created enormous pressure on the vetebrae at the top of her neck. There was now way she could wear this dress for an entire day. The dress was now filthy from being handled so much and A WEEK BEFORE her wedding we had not resolved the issue. The seamstress sent a text during that week, which we accidentally received, saying she was f*#$@ing sick of working on the dress. What ???? This is a woman's wedding gown, selected for one of the most memorable days of her life. The owners response was that was between us and her. She was a subcontractor from her shop, so I believe that says it all about customer service. At this point we are frantic.

I ended up having to fly my daughter to her destination ( our home town on the Florida coast ) with her dress 8 days before her wedding to have someone here, who had the ability, completely remake the top of the dress. The shop did not pay for additional fabric which I found shocking seeing that all this fell on them. Nor did they refund any of the botched alterations fees.

So, how do you spend $3650 to have a dress suitable to wear? Failed alterations at the bridal shop. $975, Plane ticket to have dress fixed $800,
Additional fabric $575, remake top of dress $1300.

My advice. Go somewhere else, go anywhere else, avoid this shop!!!!!
Any business will always be welcoming and treat you like they value you as long as they are on the receiving end. A GOOD business is one that will solve the problems that arise when there are problems.

Get everything in writing!

I mentioned my budget at the start of my appt so I assumed everything they gave to try on was in that range. They "accidentally" put a dress in the dressing room for me to try that was double my budget and that was the one I fell in love with, unfortunately. We were unsure if we wanted to spend that much and In order to make the sale they offered to cover the cost of cleaning and preservation after the ceremony. In the stress of wedding planning it didn't occur to me to check the receipt to make sure they wrote that down. After the wedding I called for details to get it cleaned and they said there was no way they would have offered that. I could understand if 1 or 2 people in my party misheard that but there were 5 of us that heard that offer and they still didn't honor it.

Overall very poor experience. Do not recommend.

The store (Karen) ordered my dress late and created a great inconvenience on my family while we were planning an at-home wedding with a seated dinner. I even had to call the designer in New York to ensure the dress was ordered because Karen would not answer the store phone or her cell phone to confirm the dress was on its way! Once the dress came in, Karen scheduled three fittings at the same time and it felt very rushed - too rushed to have purchased a premier designer gown. Overall a bad experience.

My daughter picked out a beautiful dress for her special wedding day 7 months prior to her wedding. She was measured by bHughes and told to order a size smaller than what she (and I) thought she should order. She questioned the size she was advised to order 4 times but told repeatedly that this was the correct size. this was no small purchase - the dress and accessories were over $7000. When the dress arrived and she tried it on it was so tight that she would have never have been able to sit in it. Karen, the owner, kept saying that she signed off on the size and that if the dress was steamed it would give a little. What a joke!! Karen could not get my daughter and me out of the store fast enough. Thankfully we found a woman who was able to let the dress out enough for it to fit beautifully, but not before Karen ruined what should have been a wonderful occasion - picking up her wedding dress and being excited! My daughter even called Karen and Karen assured her that she would call her back and "make it right". Needless to say, Karen never returned the call but did contact my daughter after her wedding and asked if they could use some of her pictures to post on the bHughes wedding site. When hell freezes over!! I would advise any woman to drive to Atlanta and order your dress somewhere, anywhere other than bHughes!! My daughter also has a friend who ordered her wedding dress from bHughes as well...it has been a nightmare for her friend as well!! Run, don't walk away from bHughes. You will not have a good experience!

I had a horrible experience with b. Hughes, despite the fact that they are supposed to be the best in Nashville. Although Allison and the store's owner did work to make the situation right, I was still astonished at how many things went wrong. One year before my wedding, I purchased a beautiful dress from b. Hughes. 6 months later, after calling to check on the status of the dress, my mother was informed that they had forgotten to order my dress. They rush ordered it at that time, and assured us that everything would be perfect. However, once the dress finally arrived, we had an awful experience with the lady they recommend to do alterations. At 8pm the night before my bridal portraits, I was in their store crying because my dress fit horribly (it was about 6 sizes too big, despite my already having had one fitting and alteration) and the seamstress had also messed up the seams and the stitches. That same day, TWO WEEKS before my wedding, I was at another bridal shop in Nashville trying on dresses to buy off the rack due to concern that my dress from b. Hughes could not be fixed in time. B. Hughes told us that "things like this hardly ever happen to us," but that doesn't matter when it's YOUR wedding and YOU'RE the one being affected! Particularly when I purchased the dress literally one year prior to the wedding date. In the end, b. Hughes was able to get the dress fixed and fitted in time for my wedding, and the owner hand- delivered it to the church on the wedding day. I guess you could say "All's well that ends well," but the stress and drama surrounding this dress was certainly not what I had anticipated when purchasing a bridal gown from such a well-renowned store. Furthermore, b. Hughes never offered to pay for, or even discount, the dress despite all of the difficulties. My dress was fabulous in the end, but I would never recommend b. Hughes to anyone. I had a horrible, although seemingly uniquely bad, experience. Don't take the chance. What kind of bridal shop FORGETS to order a fully-paid bridal gown for 6 months?!? And then messes it up after promising it would be "perfect" in time for bridal portraits?
