Wedding Officiant

I'm so honored to write this review. Jack set the tone for our wedding and he did a beyond phenomenal job!!

We looked into several officiants, and my husband and I had a feeling about Jack. Especially after reading his reviews/website I felt we shared a very similar outlook.

We first started off with a Zoom call and immediately we loved his kind, warm, outgoing, funny personality. We could tell he not only was a professional and confident in what he does, but he is a great listener and treats each couple with personal/individual attention.

He offers premarital counseling; which I recommend taking advantage off! We met with him a few weeks before the wedding, and he spoke with us about what can support a long lasting marriage…inviting us into conversations that that my partner hadn’t touched on. This was incredibly valuable as we listened to each other and Jack, we got to see new perspectives. He has an incredible energy that makes you feel like you've been friends for years.

On the actual wedding day Jack couldn’t have been any more perfect. He has a way of putting you at ease. My husband and I felt extremely comfortable with him there supporting us at the altar. He takes great care in curating a personalized ceremony that was reflective of how we met, what makes our relationship work, our values, and the love for our friends and family. The ceremony was beautiful, at times funny, deeply moving, and captured very bit of my husband and I. Sharing our love story and drawing in each guest there. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE raved about Jack and they asked who he was because he spoke as if he knew us for years.
The ceremony was breathtaking and there wasn't a dry eye. I credit Jack to putting this all together, taking the time to get to know us, and creating an experience we’ll deeply treasure in our lives forever. After the wedding day, he sent us the script of our ceremony to have as a beautiful keepsake memory!!

Jack is a Wonderful, Calming Presence

Our wedding day was perfect, even with a few hiccups. Jack was a calming presence as we waited for the photographer to show up (he was stuck in traffic and arrived 30 minutes late). He read the biographical information we sent over to him and incorporated it perfectly into the ceremony. I would highly recommend Jack as your wedding officiant!

Professional AND fun

Pastor Jack made our day both special and fun. He brought a professional yet cool vibe that felt so “us”. We wanted a pastor with light and levity so that it didn’t feel too religious or serious. Jack took the time to get to know us and share part of our story in a way that brought meaning and laughter. He’s the best.

Jack Hawkins - Made it possible

My now Wife and I decided to get married last minute and put the whole thing together in less than a week. Jack was very helpful in the steps needed and even gave us some quick homework that really helped us write our vows. Jack even offered us his own backyard to do our wedding (even though we ended up finding a venue)!! 5 stars all around and he made this day very special for us.

Worth Every Penny

The ceremony is really important, but sometimes people want to skip because let’s face it, it can be long and boring. With Jack that is absolutely not the case. From the get-go he made us feel so comfortable and at ease. We had a Zoom meeting with him before booking him and we instantly felt a connection. He recently moved from San Diego to Arizona and couldn’t make our rehearsal, but he jumped on another Zoom beforehand to make sure we felt confident with everything. Honestly he’s done hundreds and hundreds of weddings he really doesn’t need to be at the rehearsal and it will still go as smooth as butter. He was punctual and personable. He memorized our love story and blended his charming humor into the ceremony. Most ceremonies are only about 20-25 minutes, but we incorporated several Filipino cultural traditions and it ended up being 40 minutes. However, everyone said they were entertained the whole way through and it went by so fast. If you’re not religious, no worries. He speaks to love in a way that everyone can relate to. Hands down worth every penny.

He really gave us the ceremony we dreamt of!

I cannot even to explain how amazing Jack was! From the beginning to the end he was good at communicating with us. He was able to perfectly include our relationship history and how we got to our wedding day. You wont have to worry about having a plain boring ceremony, he really does an amazing job in keeping the guests attention. He was great! All our guests really loved the ceremony as much as my husband I did! I loved that the morning of the wedding he went to us individually to check up on us and asked if we needed anything. Thank you Jack for making our ceremony more than we ever thought it would be!!

Jack is incredible at what he does. He did such a great job and honestly knocked our socks off! We had so many people tell us after that our ceremony was one of the best they have ever attended; personable, not too long, great message. Jack is awesome!

Pastor Jack is incredible! His communication before our big day was great, and his instructions for what he needed from us were clear. He asked specific questions to myself and my wife, such as our story and what we like best about each other, among other things, that he incorporated into the ceremony to make it a lot more personal. He also adds a humorous touch to the ceremony, which makes it more fun and calms the nerves as well. A lot of our guests were commenting on what a great job he did.

Where Do I Start?

Jack was incredible!
He came 45 minutes early. He prepared an entire script ready to read. He made everyone laugh and feel comfortable. He calmed my husband’s nerves right before the ceremony. He took what we said about each other and used it in the ceremony. It made us feel like he was speaking for us! It’s everything we wanted to say to each other, but probably couldn’t, because I would have burst into tears! The best part about it was people asking “How long have you known him?” We met him the day of! People also asked “How did you find him??” Google! I am so thankful for Jack. He was absolutely spectacular and made our wedding so special. Thank you, Jack!!

Pastor Jack made our wedding ceremony amazing!

My wedding planner found Pastor Jack and upon talking to him, we immediately knew he was the officiant for us. I connected with him easily, he made us laugh, he loves God, and he was thorough.

We signed up to do a premarital session with him where we answered questions in preparation for marriage and Jack shared his wisdom about making marriage last. We loved this session and really appreciated it.

During our ceremony, he told the story of my husband and I meeting, which of course made everyone laugh, and he created such a beautiful atmosphere the way he transitioned between story telling, our vows, and the sand ceremony. I got a lot of feedback that our ceremony was " the best ceremony I've ever seen" and "we loved your officiant." ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars for Pastor Jack! We loved having him officiate our wedding and we're so grateful that he was there to support us on our special day! ♥️🥰

The BEST personality!!!!

Oh my goodness, Jack was AMAZING!!! I am SO glad that I found him! When I saw that his business name was "The San Diego Wedding Guy," I knew he MUST have a great personality! The best ceremony!

If you are looking for an officiant please book Jack! Our ceremony was nothing short of perfect. Jack was uplifting and put us at ease with the homework we did beforehand and really personalizing our ceremony. Everything was absolutely perfect. We had so many guests after ask for his information because he was that good. There was seriousness yet humor to it and we LOVED it! He also made it so easy and got all signatures needed and filing our certificate for us. I wish we could relive it over and over.

Amazing & memorable

Pastor Jack is a master at his craft and the ceremony he conducted for us was absolutely perfect. My wife & I had a destination wedding in La Jolla. We met Jack through a Wedding Wire search and after talking to him the first time on the phone, we actually cancelled the 2 other meetings we had with other officiants. He was funny, quick witted, and just had a natural flow with his conversation. We typed up an in-depth summation of my (new) wife & I’s relationship for him to read over before the wedding. He then took many pieces of our stories & experiences and SEAMLESSLY incorporated them into the ceremony sermon. Our guests were not only impressed, but blown away. Many asked if we had flown Jack out from our regular church in Indianapolis because of how in-depth and personable the ceremony felt. I highly recommend hiring Jack for your big day. There is truly no other pastor we would have rather used to officiate our happily ever after.

Pastor Jack Hawkins was amazing!

Pastor Jack Hawkins was incredible, we’re so happy we had him officiate our wedding. I was very impressed with the way he balanced being serious/sentimental during the right times and also cracked jokes when it was appropriate. He made us laugh, he made us cry (happy tears) and did a great job of making the whole ceremony very personalized for us. We got TONS of compliments about him from our guests - multiple people told us he was the best wedding officiant they’d ever seen!

Also, as a bride-to-be that was in total overwhelm planning a wedding, I really appreciated how easy and organized he was - he asked us all the questions about each other well in advance, and showed up early to speak with our coordinator to make sure everything went smoothly.

I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding officiant!! He was great!

Pastor Jack Came Through!

We had an unusual situation... and Pastor Jack came through. Our son and fiance were to be married on March 30, 2020; but the wedding and reception were canceled on March 19th due to COVID-19 secure in place orders. My brother (also a pastor) who was going to officiate the wedding was not able to travel, and arranged for Pastor Jack the evening of March 19th to marry our son and daughter-in-law the next day at the beach in Torrey Pines with just the parents, a few siblings and the rest of the siblings by Facetime. Pastor Jack did an excellent job with only 15 hours notice and met us on the beach. The ceremony was personable, funny, and made for a wonderful wedding day for my son and daughter-in-law. He literally saved the day and our kids were married in a very special ceremony that they will remember forever!

Exactly what we envisioned!

From the get-go, Jack was just awesome. Super responsive, and had great suggestions for our unconventional ceremony. He was very flexible with regards to timing and location. (Outdoor December ceremony had us obsessing about the weather!) He matched our vibe perfectly, with only a few interactions with us beforehand. All this & very reasonable $. The BEST officiant we could have dreamed of!!

It was clear from the first few minutes talking to Jack Hawkins that he possessed every quality we were seeking in an officiant for our wedding. His charismatic and conversational personality create a feeling of familiarity, and his life experiences traveling across the globe along with his volunteer work speak to his selfless nature. You can tell that his desire to officiant weddings comes from the uplifting feeling of pairing two soulmates and that initiating the first steps of their lifelong journey together is what is so rewarding to him.

The first question we were asked following the ceremony by friends and family alike was “So how many years have you known Jack for?” His ability to pull personal elements from responses we gave him months prior and incorporate them into a heartfelt story about our lives was so personal and lighthearted that it truly did seem like he had been part of our journey for many years.

Lastly, one of our favorite moments of our wedding day came minutes after the ceremony as Jack pulled both of us aside and told us he would like to take a moment to celebrate the long life we were about to have together. It was at that time, in the midst of the events of the day, that we were able to reflect on the significance of the experience. We are very thankful that Jack was able to bring such a conversational and personal element to our ceremony and we absolutely give him our highest recommendation for his professional service.

Pick Pastor Jack!

We received so many compliments from our guests about Pastor Jack's ceremony and message. Initially, we struggled to find a pastor for our wedding that matched our humor and our desire to have a simple non-denominational religious ceremony. When we spoke with Pastor Jack, we knew he was the perfect officiant for our wedding. During the ceremony, Pastor Jack told our story beautifully and provided a wonderful message. Pastor Jack- So Happy we found him!

Pastor Jack married my husband and I just recently, and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision to have him lead our ceremony.
He brought such a calming presence to us that day; gave hugs, a reassuring smile and most importantly took the time to pray with us both before the ceremony.

We submitted our couples “homework” to him earlier on prior and he was able to put together the best little “recap” of my husband and I for during the ceremony.

The ceremony was the best combination of: serious, funny and so much love. We keep getting compliments on how it was the best ceremony people have heard, and they loved the pastor.

He also had many vow readings for us to choose from which worked perfect!!

BEST officiant in Socal!

We are honored to have had Pastor Jack officiate our wedding in San Diego a few weeks ago. I instantly felt he was our "wedding guy" when I received his first few text messages. Sounds funny, but you'll know what I mean if you contact him! We hired him and it was one of the ABSOLUTE best decisions we made regarding our wedding day! Meeting him for the first time the day of the wedding, felt like we had known him for years. His ceremony was professional and hilarious! Our wedding guests made numerous comments about how incredible and funny he was throughout the ceremony! They were ALL stunned to know that he wasn't a longtime friend of ours.

Big Fan of the San Diego Wedding Guy!

Pastor Jack was a hit at our small wedding ceremony. Many family members from out of town wished their pastor was as cool as Pastor Jack. Jack was very attentive to all the details leading up to the day, and performed the ceremony flawlessly. Perfect, modern wedding ceremony

Pastor Jack did an incredible job as our wedding officiant for our destination wedding. We did the entire planning process remotely and every aspect of the ceremony exceeded our expectations. He has a quick, yet concise planning process to get to know the bride and groom, including gathering of personal stories, to make sure our ceremony was customized to our personalities, beliefs, and wishes. Pastor Jack was funny, professional, and warm- exactly what we wanted. (So much so that all of our guests thought he was a family friend we had flown out for the wedding.) We can't thank you enough!

Pastor Jack is awesome!

Jack was absolutely awesome! I found him online but later found out that he is the pastor at my friends aunts church and knows her entire family! He made our wedding sooo unique and personal, and all of the guests loved the ceremony! Such a great guy!

We highly recommend Pastor Jack! Consultation was pleasant and we knew right away he was the one we wanted to perform our ceremony. He made everything so easy and he is just a great guy to work with. He created an amazing ceremony that was custom to our story. Our guests were asking about him and telling us what a fantastic job he did. He even helped us get all our guests together when it was about time to start. He really makes it so you can concentrate on the moment and not worry. Jack was amazing, he did the BEST ceremony. It was short sweet and to the point a whole 15 mins ! I had people coming up to me the rest of the night and asking for his information ! The communication between He and I was flawless ! His ceremony was the best and I will remember it for the rest of my life ! Even during my panic attack before walking down the aisle Jack was right there helping keep me calm and relaxed. Thank you so much Jack you were the BEST!!

My wife and I were looking for Pastors in the San Diego Area and found Pastor J online. He had great reviews so we contacted him to meet up and see if he was the right officiant for us. Honestly he was the perfect pastor. He's funny, personable and really just makes everyone feel comfortable. After the wedding my father-in-law asked how long we've known Pastor J for because it seemed like he was a long time friend, but honestly we only met with him for an hour prior to our wedding. I'd recommend him to anyone getting married in the San Diego Area, hands down.

My husband and I wanted an intimate wedding ceremony in the San Diego area so we contacted the San Diego Wedding Guy-Jack Hawkins. I knew right away that Jack was the one for us as he was so warm and compassionate on the phone. He made great suggestions for location as we were coming from out of the area. He was so patient with us even with our last minute decisions. When we met with him for our ceremony he greeted us with a great big smile and that helped us to relax and enjoy our big day. We really appreciated the thoughtful words he expressed to us in officiating our vows to each other and it made our day that more meaningful. Much thanks to Jack for blessing us on our wedding day......we will always remember our beautiful time in La Jolla and can't wait to come back again for an anniversary trip.

Everyone at our wedding kept asking "Who was that guy who married you? He was great." Pastor Jack was AMAZING! His ability to provide a loving and fun ceremony for our vow renewal and made our day! He really listened to what we wanted in our vows. Pastor Jack could not have been more amazing!! We truly cannot imagine having had any other officiant for our wedding. If you are looking for someone you will feel an instant, genuine connection with, look no further! On top of being very responsive and professional, Jack is such a down to earth, warm, and genuinely nice person. From our very first call, through the entire planning process, he was just delightful to work with and more than exceeded our high expectations (his reviews are unmatched!) From little things, like checking in sporadically just to see how we were doing, to big things, like leaving his car on the side of the road and hitching a ride to our wedding when he popped a tire on the way to the chapel(!!!) Jack went above and beyond in every way. He even offered his guidance and expertise to my MOH who will be officiating her brother's wedding this summer!

Our ceremony was the perfect blend of humor and sentiment, laughter and happy tears, all thanks to Pastor Jack. It was as special and memorable as we hoped and we continue to get comments from our guest on how phenomenal our officiant was! Thank you so much, Jack, for making our wedding so perfect!!

Jack is absolutely the best. He is extremely likable and great to work with. He really helped me relax during the moments leading up to the ceremony. He was making me laugh and allowed me to be more comfortable then I thought was possible. Beyond that, our guests loved him. He provided a perfect balance of sincerity, humor, and timing. First of all, Jack is the pastor at our church! His messages are always so inspirational, thought provoking and relevant to our everyday life. When it came time for my fiancé and I to plan our wedding, it was a given that Jack had to perform the ceremony. I had 3 things I had to have for our wedding: #1 a dress, #2 a party, and #3 Jack. He knew us already, but gathered information from both of us and told our story in a heartfelt and sincere manner, with a little bit of light heartedness and joking thrown in....just like Jack always does at church. We had so many people comment on how his message during our ceremony made them reflect on their own marriage. We are so grateful that Jack was available to be our officiant and actually, we got married on a Sunday because as I said, he was a requirement and already booked on Saturday! Thank you again Jack for being a part of our special day and delivering such a heartfelt message during our ceremony!

Planning my wedding was a stressful year. I met with many vendors and then was searching for an officiant. Pastor Jack is a treasure for San Diego. He saved the day. I did not feel a connection with anyone we interviewed and then met Pastor Jack. Immediately we knew we had to have him conduct our ceremony. Our friends and family are still raving about him!!! We had Pastor Jack Hawkins marry us in October at our winery wedding. We initially selected him because we watched videos of some of his ceremonies online and loved his style. Jack was a hit at our wedding! People said over and over again that he was the best officiant that they have ever heard! He really took the time to get to know us, and to tell everyone our story, people loved it. Our ceremony was short and sweet (probably about 20ish minutes). Jack made people laugh, gave us great advice, and just all-in-all made our day that much more special. The ceremony is the most important part of the wedding, it is what it is all about, so I highly recommend you go with someone like Jack who will have people talking about it days later. Pastor Jack is truly awesome! My husband and I were just married and July and are so happy to have had Jack be our officiant, it was such a fantastic ceremony. We initially met Jack back in March and instantly felt comfortable with him because he is so kind and warm and welcoming. We were then sent home to do our wedding homework and a few months later it was time for the big day!

The tone of the ceremony was everything we hoped for. Laid back, fun and personal. We had a couple of hiccups in the ceremony - a helicopter hovering the area, a rock clogging the vase in our sand ceremony but Jack was there to make light of the situation. We also had a few very last minute changes when my MOH was not able to attend and the person doing the reading decided the prefer not to do the reading - not a problem! Jack quickly worked around the changes.

Following the wedding, and weeks after the wedding, my husband and I received so many comments from friends and family about what a wonderful job the officiant did and how it was the best/most enjoyable ceremony they've ever been to. I've been to many weddings and don't think I've ever heard a guest compliment the officiant but we received multiple rave reviews about him.

Now my only regret is that we didn't hire a videographer for the ceremony! Having Pastor Jack as your officiant is a decision you will be happy you made!!

With thousands of decisions to be made before any perfect wedding can take place, it is easy to get overwhelmed and knowing that Pastor Jack is your guy. We spent countless hours searching and stressing about who we would choose to marry us, because we knew what an incredibly important role the officiant plays.

From the moment you meet Pastor Jack you will feel at ease and confident in your decision. Pastor Jack is clearly a seasoned pro at this and we were blown away with the way he was able to take the background info we provided and lost - but I have great news - scratch picking your officiant off of the list! Take a deep breath, and let out a sigh of relief in turn it into an incredibly genuine, thoughtful and special ceremony. We had at least 8 different people come up to us after the ceremony and ask us how long we knew Pastor Jack and not one of them believed us that we had only met him once before our big day. Heck, even we felt we were old friends the way his speech and comments tugged at our hearts.

So the bottom line is, grab your loved one and celebrate - one decision down, only a few hundred more to go!

We hired Pastor Jack for my daughters wedding. We met with him and my daughter felt very comfortable. Then they set up a meeting for just the two of them. We loved how he made the ceremony personal in such he told a brief sermon about their love story. We also liked how we incorporated a sand ceremony for with his children. Pastor Jack married us this past weekend at our surprise wedding and he was phenomenal! We were looking for someone fun and funny to match the vibe we hoped to create for our wedding and he did not disappoint. Pastor Jack is an amazing officiant. His speech on our story touched so many people that most of our audience was in tears by the time he was finished. He personally writes all of his speeches for each couple, which makes it all the more special.

My Husband and I do not live in the San Diego area, however we did go to school there. We wanted a pastor to marry us, but we weren't sure who to ask!
Once we saw Pastor Jack's online videos and read his bio on his website, we knew he was going to be the perfect person for the job!
And after we met with him, it sealed the deal for sure. His laid-back but professional personality fit our last perfectly!
He came to the rehearsal which was such a blessing so that he could meet the families and get to know us even more!
On the day of the wedding he was very prepared and excited for us. He has a passion for weddings, and you can see that through the time he takes to get to know you and relay "your story" to your family and friends. Pastor Jack was such a blessing to have at our wedding. He added special touches to the ceremony and made it easy to follow. Pastor Jack Hawkins was the officiant for our 9/12/15 wedding. We met with Pastor Jack in person about a year before our wedding date and he got to know us and we got to know him. We knew that we wanted a Christian ceremony but nothing toward a specific denomination in order to cater to both the Baptists (bride) and the Catholics (groom) that would eventually be in the audience. We got such an awesome feeling after meeting with Pastor Jack that we contacted him that night and let him know that we wanted to book him.

Fast forward to a year later--Pastor Jack was great at answering all of my emails in a very timely manner. He even called me the week before the wedding to see how my nerves were doing!! I was able to give him a script for a sand ceremony the week of the wedding and he read it like a pro during our ceremony. Pastor Jack really made our ceremony one of a kind. He used our stories to make a customized message for us as a couple, and a lot of my friends even told us that his message was rejuvenating for their own relationship.

I definitely recommend Pastor Jack as THE wedding officiant for anyone looking for a funny and memorable wedding ceremony. He makes sure to take YOUR story and make it YOUR ceremony. With Pastor Jack on your team, you can be sure that you will have a ceremony that everyone will remember.

We procrastinated until almost the last minute to find someone to marry us, which could have been disastrous...Jack responded promptly to our initial e-mail inquiry and he was available! Making arrangements via telephone, texting and e-mail with Jack was easy and efficient. We were apprehensive about the fact that we did not have a chance to actually meet in person before the wedding. Not only did we think that the ceremony that Jack performed was personal and perfect, so did our family and friends. Several guests commented on what a wonderful job Jack did. We contacted Jack two days before the wedding because the officiant we had arranged had become ill. Jack responded within a couple of minutes of getting my urgent text message and was absolutely the best to work with! He provided us a general outline of the service via email and we told him the changes we wanted to make - not a problem at all for Jack. He showed up at the venue on time, friendly, and ready to go. The service was perfect! I would definitely recommend Jack!

During our wedding planning and search for an officiant to marry us, my wife and I had the pleasure of attending a friend's wedding officiated by Pastor Jack Hawkins (the SanDiegoWeddingGuy). We knew immediately that Jack had to be our officiant! No one likes to attend a wedding where the officiant rambles on for an hour and puts everyone to sleep. That's not Jack! Pastor Jack customizes the service to suit the bride and groom and speaks specifically to their story. That's what he did for us and it was great! Jack not only spoke to our specific courtship and how we fell in love, but he was lively, engaged our guests, and made everyone laugh. The wedding ceremony was light, fun, and energetic. “The Force is strong in this one!” The first time we met Pastor Jack, we instantly knew that he’s the perfect officiant for our unique wedding. He’s laid back, funny and totally down to earth. When we told him that we are going to have an R2-D2 droid as our ring bearer, he enthusiastically embraced our vision of our special day. He was very receptive to our ideas and clearly understood the atmosphere we wanted for our celebration. He performed our ceremony so beautifully. Jack turned our beautiful ceremony on the beach into an amazing wedding experience for Leola and I. He personalized the message in the ceremony by talking about how we met and it allowed our guests to glance into the strong relationship that we have built together. Many of our guests came up to ask us who the officiant was because of how his message spoke to them during the ceremony. Jack was funny, sincere, thought-provoking, and on-point with the ceremony. You know he’s a good officiant when guests’ married 20+ years remarked that his message revitalized their thoughts on marriage and brought them back to their wedding day!!

Our wedding was a destination wedding, so we didn't have anyone in the area we knew well that we wanted to officiate our ceremony. We came across Jack in an online search - I met with him once and my husband "face timed" with him to meet him. We liked his demeanor and he was very accommodating when it came to personalizing the ceremony. We also appreciated his "no judgement" attitude as we come from families of varying religious beliefs. We filled out his questionnaire to help him get to know us, and I can't tell you how perfectly he told our story! We got so many comments from our guests about how personal and nice the ceremony was, and numerous people asked how we knew Jack! He has the most natural way of connecting with people, even larger groups. We really couldn't be happier with how the ceremony turned out - it was my favorite part of the day!

Wow! No one can deliver a ceremony like Jack can. His words were profound and touching, yet hilarious and light-hearted. In 20 minutes he had everyone at our wedding crying, laughing, and smiling all at the same time! We picked Jack based on his online reviews and most importantly his videos of previous weddings he has officiated. We were impressed, but concerned about picking an officiant that didn't know us personally. Jack proved that was nothing to fear as he was a perfect fit! The way he captured our personalities and personalized the ceremony made us as well as the guests feel like he was a long-time friend. Jack has that unique ability to make all your guests feel like they are apart of something truly amazing, and we were honored to have him.

Jack helped make our big day as perfect as we had hoped for. We had actually been to a wedding that he had officiated the year before which is how we found him. Just hearing him speak and the way he performed the ceremony sold us on him. We provided him with the information he required for the ceremony and he did his thing. Everything came out perfectly during the ceremony. He performed it the exact way we had evisioned it going. We were so happy that we had found him to perform our wedding. He was the perfect guy for the job. We would definitely recommend him!

Pastor Jack was absolutely amazing! We had multiple guests come up to us during the reception and still the week after asking how we found him. In the process leading up to the wedding, he was always responsive, very organized, and took the time to learn about us as a couple. As for the ceremony, he was calm, funny (without being cheesy), charismatic, and conveyed a great message for us. He truly exceeded our expectations and we cannot thank him enough!

When my husband and I were looking for a pastor to perform our marriage, we wanted to find someone that was engaging, spiritual and would help make our special day a lasting memory. Pastor Jack did just that! From the first meeting we had with him I felt that he could stand before us and truly make the ceremony a celebration. The wedding day was so special for us by personalizing the ceremony based on what we had shared with him. It couldn’t have been more perfect! I can't tell you how many compliments we received about Pastor Jack after our wedding. He did a great job and so many people (including us!) loved what he had to say, it's been quoted to me many times since the ceremony! He made our ceremony full of love and laughter and really captured who we are as a couple. I would highly recommend him.

Encouraging, competent, imaginative and professional through every step of the way.
Jack delivered a ceremony that found a way to touch every single person there, and more importantly, was very meaningful for myself and my wife.
He made it personal through "homework" he had us separately complete before the wedding, inserting tidbits from each of our perspectives to articulate the bond we share with each other. This 'homework' served as a sort of pre-marital counseling for us. In fact, after completing the homework I was able to say my vows from memory because I had spent some time getting down to why each wanted to marry the other.
Jack educated the audience on our lives, as individuals and as a couple, giving family and friends a better idea of who we are - relatives from my wife's side whom I have never met felt like they knew me after the ceremony. I attribute that to Jacks ability to bring some traditional scripture along with well-spoken stories and anecdotes about us.
When I first stood next to Jack at the altar, he sensed my nerves and emotions and gave me a little encouragement, placing his hand on my shoulder as the bride walked down the aisle.
All in all, Pastor Jack was the best decisions we made! There were countless individuals who told us he performed the best wedding ceremony they had ever seen. Thank you SO much Pastor Jack!!

Jack has a wonderful demeanor and a gift for oration. He was delightful to work with and tailored a wedding to our taste and style. Numerous people remarked that it appeared that Jack had known us for years, which is a compliment to his professionalism and attention to detail. He made our wedding easy, fun, and I cannot image anyone doing a better job. Indeed he left everyone with a smile on their face and many inquiring as to where his church is located, so they could hear more from him. Great job and thanks for making our day perfect!

Need a responsible, professional wedding officiant who is funny but not a stand-up comedian? One who is religious but not overtly evangelistic? Someone to entertain your guests with appropriate and personalized humor while creating a ceremony that is meaningful, memorable and comfortable? Also available for wedding rehearsal services and very reasonably priced as well?

Jack Hawkins is your guy!!!

Fortunately, my new wife and I discovered Jack Hawkins on the web just months prior to our wedding. We needed an officiant and honestly didn’t even know where to start looking. We had seen many officiants on the web, but they seemed either zealously religious/stiff or considered weddings an opportunity for a stand-up comedy routine. We wanted a balance of religion, seriousness and humor from an officiant and found that and more in Jack Hawkins.

Jack met with us well in advance of our wedding and spent time getting know us and our backgrounds and wedding needs. We immediately felt at ease with him and knew he would be great on our special day. He had us fill out additional fun questionnaires to aid in his ceremony preparations and was very open to any arrangements/ceremonial changes we desired. He worked with us to design a wonderful ceremony and pulled it off without a hitch on the day. We had many approach us at our wedding and ask about Jack and pass accolades regarding his exceptional ceremony. Over the next several weeks, many more have mentioned Jack’s great job at our wedding. A friend attending the wedding even stole material from Jack’s arsenal for a wedding he officiated the following month!

In summary, we feel we got lucky with Jack and couldn’t be happier. We gladly recommend Jack Hawkins as a wedding officiant to anyone!

To put it simply, Jack was absolutely amazing! He really took the time to get a feel for what we wanted at our wedding and he was perfect! Keeping the ceremony light hearted, familiar, touching and funny without compromising the integrity, he delivered a perfect ceremony for us and we couldn't be happier. There were compliments all around from friends and family who really loved him..if you didn't know any better you would think that we've known eachother for years upon years! Jack just made the whole experience very comfortable. We would definitely recommend him one thousand times over! :)

Why oh why haven't I reviewed Pastor Jack yet- he was simply amazing and by far my favorite vendor of our wedding!

My husband and I wanted a really fun, personal, laid back, but still serious ceremony. From the moment we met Jack, we knew he was our guy. We immediately felt a connection with him, and more importantly, my husband felt really comfortable with him (he was very nervous about the ceremony). Pastor Jack proved to be funny, caring, and extremely professional.

Re-watching my wedding video, I sat there in awe in how perfect our ceremony really was for us. It was funny - "that's how Bob rolls" LOL, and touching and so special at the same time. He even picked up on the fact that we walked down to the same song that my husband heard when he proposed to me (this was not written down, so Pastor Jack put the two together on the fly) which was awesome.

Pastor Jack is a great communicator, awesome guy, and although he loves Aquaman, we love him. I highly recommend him for your ceremony- you won't go wrong.

We couldn't have picked a more perfect officiant for our wedding. Jack was very professional and made our ceremony perfect. He not only was interactive with our guests, but he had a unique way of capturing our guests with his storytelling and sense of humor. Each of our guests came up to my wife and I asking where we found our officiant and wished he could have done their wedding. I would recommend Jack to anyone that needs an officiant for their wedding or any other occasion!

Where do I begin…every good thing you have read or hear about Jack is true. My fiancée, now husband, and I searched and searched for the right person to officiate our ceremony. A week and a half before our wedding we met with Jack. He made us feel like family and we knew he was the one. He made our ceremony a success! Not only did all of my guests love him and make comments about how awesome he was, he also made me feel so very comfortable. I have social anxiety and was stressing over standing in front of an audience and saying my vows. During the ceremony he had everyone laughing which made me feel at ease and I was able to say my vows with no issue. He really makes you feel like he cares about you and your ceremony. There is something very special about him and what he does. It’s not just a job it’s a passion, and it is obvious! From all the reviews, it's clear that you can not go wrong with Pastor Jack. From our first time meeting him, he got on the floor to play with our son and we felt an instant connection. He arrived early the day of the wedding, mingled with our guests and assisted our wedding coordinator. He told our story like he was one of our closests friends. His humor came out at all the right times and his advise on a successful marriage was something we'll never forget. If you want a ceremony that's meaningful, memorable and fun, then Pastor Jack Hawkins is the one for the job.

Jack was the perfect addition to our special day. My husband and I couldn't have been happier with him. We planned our small backyard wedding with very short notice and Jack was gracious enough to accommodate all of our last minute plans. We were married in the evening and he even squeezed us in after an afternoon wedding that he had already committed to.
The message he delivered during the ceremony was exactly what we wanted. He had the perfect balance of humor and tradition and included personal anecdotes about my husband and I, while still giving us the benefit of the wisdom he has gained from his own 20 plus years of marriage.
I recommend Jack to anyone who is looking for a sincere, heartfelt message with a touch of relaxed humor that brides, grooms, and guests can all relate to and appreciate.

Pastor Jack did an incredible job officiating our wedding ceremony on the beach at the Hotel Del Coronado. Many of our guests commented that it was the best ceremony they had ever been a part of. He struck the perfect balance of humor and tradition, of personal anecdotes about the two of us and wonderful wisdom from his experience. My father noted that every person in attendance that day took away something from his message that they could apply to their own life and relationships. We were especially touched by how flawlessly he integrated and facilitated a customized "rope ceremony" into the event. This really meant a lot to us and we know many of the guests were also touched by it.

We were very picky when selecting an officiant. We wanted a Christian officiant and since we werent part of a church we didnt have a pastor to use. We wanted someone who would make it personal and make it feel like hes known us for years and who had a sense of humor. Jack fit the bill perfectly. I instantly liked him when we met. And even though hes the pastor of a church and works on Sundays, he made it possible to officiate our wedding on a Sunday morning. Everyone asked us how we knew the pastor after the wedding and said they loved him. Thanks Jack!

Having recently moved to San Diego, my fiancé and I were looking for a pastor to marry us on the yacht we had selected for our wedding. We wanted to a Christian ceremony but so many officiants will not marry you unless you are a member of their church and usually on the church grounds. After finding Jack on line and inquiring by email, we decided to go and check out his church (Easter Sunday) and were highly impressed. It was such a contemporary service and it was packed with people our age that we connected with. We then scheduled a time to come into Jack's office and meet with him. Everything was so easy and comfortable! He tailored the service to our personalities and we even incorporated our own vows in to the ceremony. Our wedding was out at sea (in some rather wavy conditions) and Jack never skipped a beat. He made me feel so at ease before the ceremony and guests said it was one of the most touching ceremonies that had been to. He had taken extra time to learn about us so that the ceremony was genuine and personal. He even told a story about marriage which had everyone laughing in their seats. Thank you Jack for helping to make our day so magical. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an officiant.

Pastor Jack was perfect! We met with him one time before the wedding and he appeared at the wedding site ahead of schedule, kept the party informed and presided over the ceremonty with great delivery and applicable messages. He was light, funny, personable, yet sincere and memorable. His recommendations for a successful marriage were well received, and appreciated by all. Many came to us afterwards and lauded what a great job Pastor Jack did and greatly appreciated his messages for a successful marriage. The older married couples also confirmed his message and how applicable it was for their marriage as well. I can't thank him enought for a great job, great delivery, very memorable event and great advice that we shall indeed follow.

Pastor Jack is quite simply the best pastor I have ever seen at any wedding…and this is not because it was my wedding. He is professional, polished, and extremely personable. His professional skills and experience combined with his outgoing personality enable him to tailor his style to fit your needs and set the tone that you desire for your wedding ceremony. He is friendly and puts you at ease the day of your wedding. The most impressive thing about Pastor Jack is to actually see him in action conducting a ceremony – he dresses professionally, his voice captivates the attention of the audience, and his presentation is the best I’ve ever seen. Pastor Jack’s personal message on love and marriage is the best I’ve heard and something every married couple should hear. Lastly, the simple pre-marital questionnaire he has each person do is a very powerful exercise and really crystallizes why you are marrying this person. A month after our wedding, my wife and I decided to read each other’s “wedding homework” and we were quickly brought to tears when we heard all the wonderful thoughts and feelings expressed about each other, some of which we weren’t even aware of or had ever expressed before. If you want the wedding of your dreams, Pastor Jack is the officiant you must have.

I was apprehensive not to have met with Jack prior to our wedding. Jack assured me that he would keep the ceremony focused, yet light hearted (my husband and I are both very emotional), yet still personalized. Still apprehensive, I trusted his guidance. I met Jack on our wedding day. We had only exchanged short e-mails back and forth during the weeks prior. I went over a few items I wanted to make sure he included.

Jack was patient with me and made himself comfortable with the friends and family we had invited before I walked to the alter. We had an outdoor garden wedding at our home with a balloon release and butterfly release. Jack was able to coordinate both smoothly. It all went off without a hitch.

After the ceremony, there wasn't a sole who thought that Jack hadn't met my husband or I prior. Jack was able to conduct the ceremony with social ease, as if he had counseled us or known us before. It takes a special person with special gifts to do that.

I would recommend Jack to anyone who would like a simple, yet meaningful ceremony. His heart is certainly in the right place. I am confident that if you needed an even more personalized ceremony, he would be the man as well.

When preparing for our March 10 wedding at Saint Francis Chapel in Balboa Park, we wanted to ensure our ceremony was meaningful, heartfelt and reflected our personalities. We wanted to keep the ceremony fun, but we also wanted it to be rooted in our spirituality and serious enough to mark the importance of the occasion. After meeting with Pastor Jack Hawkins, we knew immediately we’d found the right person to marry us. Not only was he extremely easy to chat with, he was genuinely interested in hearing about how we met and why we were marrying. He took that information and wove it into what many of our guests have called “the most warm, meaningful ceremony that we’ve witnessed.” Others called it “so much fun” and “a perfect reflection our personalities.” What can I say? Pastor Jack delivered exactly what we were looking for. He has an incredible gift to combine an appropriate amount of humor with the right about of seriousness for the day. I couldn’t be more pleased with Pastor Jack Hawkins as our officiant.

Pastor Jack led our wedding ceremony back in June and we were so lucky to find him. He was recommended by another pastor who was unavailable for our wedding date and we are so glad he did. He personalized the ceremony with how we met, the proposal, and kept the ceremony light and humorous. He involved the guests and kept them interested with his real advice on marriage. During the reception, everyone commented on how he was the best officiant! My husband and I have since started attending Pastor Jack's church =)

Pastor Jack did an amazing job at my daughter Brittany's wedding. The ceremony was so beautiful and personalized for Brittany and Matt. A little late but 2 months to the date:
Here we go...
After doing my research online and coming across Jack Hawkins on TheKnot.com, we knew our search was over.
After meeting Jack, we knew even though he is a Pastor at Canyon Springs he would make our wedding memorable, enjoyable and light.
We had to write individual homework assignments on why we are getting married, what we love about each other, etc. Little did my now husband know, the funny response he wrote in the homework assignment would end up being shared during the ceremony. It was great and our guest got a great kick out of his comedic touches.
We have friends now that are getting married and contacted us to get Jack's info.
Thank you so much for putting your special touch and also incorporating our Scottish/Irish traditions into our ceremony.

As we first saw Jack at a close friends wedding, we knew we absolutely had to have him at our wedding. Attending other weddings since our own, we were reminded of how special Jack was and how much of an impact he had on the biggest day of our lives. Thank you Jack!

Jack is a great guy. He took the time to meet with my wife and I to really get to know us. He worked with us to really personalize our ceremony and when the day arrived he was awesome. I would would recommend Jack to any of my family and close friends and would consider using his services for other important occasions in my life.
