Ayenia photographed our engagement shoot at Ft. Tryon Park. She had never photographed at that particular location before, and I was so impressed that she arrived early with her assistant and scouted all the best spots. Needless to say, we could not be more happy with our photos. They are elegant, timeless, and capture our relationship & gorgeous location perfectly.
All of the photos were delivered in a personal gallery at two different resolutions, perfect for using across both wedding sites & high quality printing for Save the Dates, etc.
We cannot wait for Ayenia to photograph our wedding next year! -

This review is 3 years in the making. I hired Ayenia to shoot my April 2020 wedding. In 2019, we had our engagement shoot at the Top of the Rock in NYC where Ayenia shot some of the most insane photos I've ever seen!! I instantly felt comfortable with her and knew we made the right decision. In March 2020, when we had to postpone, Ayenia was extremely accommodating and understanding. We decided to still elope on our April date, so me, my fiance, the officiant, and Ayenia went to the South St Seaport and had our "wedding." We spent the next two hours taking photos in a completely empty lower Manhattan. I will never forget this experience and I am SO glad we have photos. Ayenia was able to capture the magic of this day so perfectly. Don't get me started on the actual "wedding" we postponed... I'm just in awe of the photos. Every single photo Ayenia has taken of us looks like it belongs in a magazine. They are timeless, authentic, and just stunning. When you're in front of her camera, you feel butterflies. She's just so good. Because of her, we have 3 very different stages of our relationship captured – all unique in their own way – and that itself is priceless. I can't recommend Ayenia enough!! -

Most beautiful eye for photos
Ayenia did such an amazing job at my wedding. She is organized, professional, and makes you feel so relaxed behind the camera. Even though she is so sweet and soft spoken, she can take control of the room to make sure she gets the best shots. She handled all of the dynamics in my family with grace and made sure to get every shot on my list. My fiancé can get nervous behind the camera and she made him feel at ease. She was a pleasure to have by my side all day. Ayenia has such a creative eye and the final product speaks for itself. -

Ayenia was one of the first vendors we hired for our wedding. I saw her portfolio and fell in love with her style. Her style is light, bright, airy and natural. Ayenia has been professional throughout the entire process, including discussion our “day of” timeline for pictures and providing feedback on timing. We were going to skip the engagement shoot and just wait for the wedding, but our wedding got postponed due to COVID (Ayenia was very accommodating in booking our new date and made the postponement stress-free!). We decided to add an engagement shoot with Ayenia while we waited for the big day. Best decision ever! Ayenia was very professional, showed up early to a scout the location I chose because she had never been before, and brought a second photographer. My fiancé doesn’t like taking pictures and posing, so I was nervous for the engagement shoot, but she immediately made him feel comfortable and relaxed. She has a very soft, but confident way of giving direction and great attention to detail while photographing us. Looking back at the pictures, I’m so glad she made some tiny adjustments to our poses because they came out flawless! They look candid, natural, and she truly captured our happiness. She did this all while being socially distanced and masked! Our engagement photos are already framed all over our house and we can’t wait to see her beautiful work at our wedding. Don’t hesitate to book Ayenia, you won’t regret it! -

Ayenia has the magic touch. Her work truly speaks for itself. Her and her team are so sweet - they make you feel totally comfortable! My husband and I are *not* naturals in front of a camera, but it doesn't matter when you have Ayenia, because she will make you look your absolute best. We love our wedding photos (and so do our family and friends)! So elegant, timeless and authentic. Her team captured the day perfectly. We knew we could trust Ayenia from the beginning and she did not disappoint! Moreover, she was so supportive during our multiple COVID delays and as a bride, I really appreciate Ayenia for going above and beyond for us. -

Ayenia was exceptional!!!
We hired Ayenia for our wedding day photos. She really was unbelievable and we are so grateful she was able to capture our special day. Even with a change of wedding date due to covid, she was so accommodating and reassuring with everything it couldn’t have gone any smoother! She was even so kind enough to help with venue recommendations, as last minute we were frantically trying to change our venue due to covid restrictions. She was so organized and professional, the actual day was seamless, calm, and happy:). When we got our photos back we were in awe of how gorgeous they came out. So elegant and natural, she really knows her craft. You will be so lucky to have her capture your day!

We originally booked Ayenia to do our wedding in Cuba! We changed it to NJ to accommodate all our guests easier & she easily was able to accommodate.
We had limited time for photos bc we really wanted to enjoy cocktail hour with our guests. Ayenia made it work & we worked together to figure out the schedule prior to the wedding.
I did explain pictures are impt but what was more impt to me was enjoying our day. I didn't feel forced to pose for a ton of pics it was easy & before I knew it .. it was over lol. During the event I didn't even notice Ayenia! she was like a ninja! I was so happy with the finished product I can't even decide what pictures to get printed! Book her & trust that everything will be handled. -

Ayenia was our wedding photographer and we cold not have gone with a better photographer for our wedding. It was a summer wedding at a waterfront restaurant in Brooklyn, NY, and we wanted our photos to capture the the whimsical, romantic and classy vibe of the venue and the surrounding areas. After looking through her portfolio, I knew that she embodied the exact style and look I was looking for, and I was totally right. The photos were soft yet bright and just excude happiness and romance - exactly what you want in your wedding photos! She was also very professional throughout the process and gave me a ton of really great advice on props and color themes for the photos. Her energy and creativeness was also a huge plus on the day of the wedding and it really showed through our photos. I cannot recommend her enough! -

Ayenia was recommended to me by a friend whose wedding photos she had taken. There was something about her pictures that made me feel as if she connected and drew out the best in people. And when I spoke with her, I could easily understand why. She is not only an amazing photographer, but she is genuinely interested in making sure the vision on for day comes to life. She did an amazing job with my photos, made everyone in my party feel comfortable and was extremely professional and thorough. She arrived early, stayed a few minutes extra to make sure we captured the perfect shot and stood in the pouring rain to make sure we had great wedding pictures! She is truly amazing and I would highly recommend her skill and expertise! -

Ayenia has been an absolute dream to work with. During our engagement photo shoot in the West Village, she made everything super easy, we laughed lots and the photos were magically awesome. It was a cold and windy day, she was so thoughtful that she checked in that morning and offered the option for me to reschedule if I didn’t feel comfortable with the weather.
Ayenia continued to surprise us on our city hall ceremony with our parents and wedding party with all our friends. She did such an amazing job on our wedding party that she captured so many wonderful moments. Will definitely work with her again in our future life celebrations ❤️ -

Perfection!
Ayenia is such an amazing photographer and a true professional. I was lucky enough to have worked with her TWO TIMES. The first was at my maid of honor’s wedding - which is when I knew I must have her for my own. She made me feel so comfortable and guided me throughout the day with ease. Her second photographer was truly so great as well. Soon after my wedding, she sent me previews of some of the photos, and they were nothing short of perfection. I can’t wait to get the final edits! If you’re looking for someone who will make you feel comfortable and capture your day in the most perfect way, then look no further, Ayenia is your girl! I can’t thank you enough. This review is long overdue; where to start. Everything about working with Ayenia was fabulous! Communications were prompt and even though we never spoke in person once until right before the day of the wedding... everything went super smooth without a hitch!
Ayenia was the only photographer who we reached out to and we decided on her instantly. She made it too easy for us and it all felt right. She prepped us for our destination wedding in Havana and connected us to a coordinator who she worked with which was a plus. Her attention to detail is second to none. Her artist eye and natural ability to find a memory in every environment is a true experience. Ayenia has a comforting, calm presence that made our camera shy children feel at ease. Her second shooter, Ahmad, has equally a keen eye and shot one of my most favorite photographs. We are beyond happy with Ayenia.

Ayenia went beyond her scope to help my husband and I create memories for a lifetime. Ayenia gave us helpful tips leading up to our wedding day. She recommended vendors and details to enhance our wedding day photos. She even accompanied me to a dress fitting! We were happy she did, as her recommendations came out handy on our wedding day. Ayenia is professional, communicative, talented and very detailed. Prior to our wedding day, my husband and I decided to do an engagement shoot with Ayenia. She was great to work with from the very beginning. We felt comfortable taking pictures with Ayenia and was very helpful in letting us know how to pose. Which is important as some photographers don’t tell you. All of our loved ones loved our engagement shoot and we loved her style of capturing moments. Leading up to the wedding, we met days before and went through our wedding timeline. Which helped a great deal on our wedding day. You do not know the amount of things that happen during your wedding day that can be missed because of all that is going on. There were no surprises and we felt comfortable. Ayenia was by our side the entire day and ensured we were happy with everything that was captured. Ayenia was a pleasure to work with and we cannot wait to see what she has in store for our wedding pictures. Thanks again, Ayenia! -

Kathleen Sent on 11/29/2017We booked Ayenia recently for our wedding next year and she has been nothing but amazing so far during this process! After having to reschedule our engagement shoot multiple times due to bad weather, she was very flexible and moved her schedule around to accommodate a time that worked for us. We were a little nervous to take professional pictures, but she is extremely personable so it didn’t take long to feel comfortable with her. I told her I am still looking to book other vendors (such as florist, videography, etc.) and she went out of her way to send me an email the next day with a bunch of recommendations. We recieved our engagement pictures a few weeks later and could not be happier! Her work is beautiful, we can’t wait until the wedding pictures!

I came across Ayenia’s work on social media and was immediately drawn in by her ability to capture the most romantic and elegant shots. We knew we had to have her as our wedding photographer and it was one of the best decisions we ever made! Leading up to the wedding, my (then) fiancé and I decided that it would be fun to have an engagement shoot so we could get comfortable in front of the camera as well as capture some professional photos of us during that special phase of our lives together. It was so worth the investment and gave us the opportunity to get to know Ayenia, who is one of the most kind, passionate, and professional women we’ve had the privilege to meet. She made us feel so at peace, made us laugh, and gave us fun pointers to keep in mind in order for us to be relaxed and natural in front of the camera. On our big day, Ayenia brought that same energy and was able to work with us and our large wedding party on our tight schedule in order to get all of the photos we wanted. Our photos came out to be absolutely stunning and exceeded our expectations. I am forever grateful to Ayenia for capturing our love so perfectly and hope I get another chance to work with her again in the future! -

Our engagement photo shoot exceeded all expectations in terms of our comfort level in front of the camera and the end result. The initial shoot had to be rescheduled due to an unexpected downpour, but Ayenia accommodated us and set us at ease. We were amazed at how the photos were so beautiful but also really captured our dynamic as a couple. We will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives.

Nicole Sent on 02/20/2018Well over 1 year ago, on somewhat of a whim while planning an impromptu trip to Cuba*, I researched "Havana Engagement Photographer," and to my delight came across Ayenia, who was actually living right in NY! Her photos were breathtaking, and I e-mailed her my family story, explaining my desire to reconnect with my heritage. To my surprise, she replied promptly and was approachable and SO down to Earth. We decided to plan the engagement photos for the following January, and over the course of the year Ayenia answered all my questions, concerns, and eased some of our apprehensions about traveling to Cuba for the first time (we are not experienced travelers). We had an incredible time in Cuba and shooting was so much fun! In about 3 weeks time we had the final gallery and I was absolutely blown away. The photos are priceless and timeless - they will be something that our children and grandkids will treasure, just as I treasure the photos of my own Grandparents in Havana. Ayenia is a true artist that was able to breathe life into a dream, and spectacularly so. Thank you Ayenia for the experience of a lifetime!
*note: We did not end up taking an "impromptu" trip to Cuba and I do not recommend doing so for your first visit! It is a beautiful, friendly, unique location that does require a bit of research prior to taking the trip! I've since booked a follow-up visit. See you soon Havana! -
