I can’t rave enough about our experience with Linda, but here are the bullet points
1. Worked well with getting all of my desired shots and keeping a very impatient groom happy through them all
2. Coached bride, me, before we started the day on posing and what to do so that alllll of my shots came out so flattering
3. Portrait poses and set ups were fun and inventive and very personal to our style and vibe
4. Pro cat herder…. My family is all ADD like crazy and she kept us focused, entertained and most importantly on schedule
5. Made sure that all shots, and important moments were captured
6. And just an absolute blast to have with us, especially on the dance floor, and will be on our guest list for future parties! -

Not only is she is incredibly talented, but her sweet and bubbly personality makes her impossible not to love. She was beyond helpful throughout the planning process. Our wedding day was rainy...but she didn't skip a beat, she did what she needed to do to make our day and pictures beyond perfect. Not only did she take and capture perfectly amazing photos, but she actually gave both my husband and I sweet heartfelt pep talks before some of our big moments. And when she wasn't giving us sweet pep talks, she was making all of us laugh and even out on the dance floor, as she captured all those precious moments. I could go on and on and on. In summary, Linda is incredibly gifted and passionate about her work and I would hire her over and over again. -

Linda, you were amazing! I can't thank you enough for keeping us on schedule, and for being accountable for us. You stepped in where others were missing, and it was seamless and made the whole event perfect. I had read reviews where people said you were essentially a day-of coordinator in addition to being the photographer, and I can confirm that you filled that role for us as well. Also, I really appreciated that you took a minute to chat with me and get my mindset on track before my first look with my Dad and James. It really helped to clear my mind and make sure that I was present in those moments, and I'll remember that always. Thank you! -

From the moment we reached out, Linda was a dream to work with. She was honest, upfront, and clear about pricing and packages, and worked with us to create the right timeline for our wedding day. She was also incredibly warm and kind throughout. We initially chose Linda because we loved her portfolio of more candid, natural, and photojournalistic/documentary-style images. She brought that same vision to our wedding day, and captured incredible moments for us. During the day, she helped make sure everyone was where they needed to be. She felt like a part of our wedding party. She carried around heavy equipment on a very hot Virginia day in September, and it was very appreciated. She got every shot we had asked for in advance and suggested a few on the fly that became some of our favorites. She got us the photos back in a very timely manner, and it was easy to download and share them with friends and family. We would highly suggest working with Linda for any event and would love to work with her again if we have the opportunity. Working with Linda was a highlight of our wedding process. -

A Perfect Experience!
Linda was absolutely phenomenal!! Her candid photos are initially what caught my and my husband’s attention. We had told her during our primary interview that we both felt awkward posing in front of the camera, but she gave great directions. She did a terrific job following the action throughout the day to capture both the emotional and goofy moments. She has a great eye for finding interesting backgrounds, framing the shots, and engaging the people she’s photographing. Linda was very communicative, detailed oriented, and organized, which was a HUGE help in both preparing for the wedding and keeping us on schedule the day of. She went absolutely above and beyond for us. We couldn’t recommend her more! -

Working with Awesomesauce was like working with a friend who had known us our entire relationship. She listened to us, she pivoted with us as our priorities evolved, and she helped us include our dog in the photos of our entire wedding party. The set shot photos were wonderful, but the candids she captured were everything. There is a photo of our moms hugging during my emotional father/daughter dance that we will cherish forever. Add in how affordable her services are (especially for the tremendous value), I can't recommend Linda enough. -

Linda Spencer & Awesomesauce Photography were our photographers of choice for our rehearsal dinner, wedding & reception all outdoors. From the very first call, I could hear Linda's passion for love, family, & catching the beautiful moments, big and small. Throughout the planning, budgeting, and timeline prep, Linda was thoughtful, extremely responsive, expense conscious, and always had my husband's and my best interests & wishes in mind. On the day of the wedding, she just went above and beyond. She gave us a prep talk before both first looks with my dad then husband, ensuring we got the space we needed & time to reflect on what was important! She checked in on us throughout the day and night, but we never felt like she was in the way. By the end of the night, we felt her as one of the guests and everyone LOVED her and her assistant! Then the pictures came. Holy. Moly. The most beautiful portraits, candids, the lighting, the colors. Linda is phenomenal, and delivered everything in a timely manner. Every time we look at any one of her hundreds of photos she took, we are totally filled with joy of the memory of the moment. I will book her for any and every big event I have. I couldn't recommend Linda and Awesomesauce Photography more!!! -

My wife and I got married in March of this year, and we were thrilled to have Linda at Awesomesauce Photography capture all the special moments of the day. We met Linda at a wedding expo in Richmond (almost 3 years before our wedding date), and booked her right then. I am so happy we did! Not only is she an amazing photographer, she is a fun person to have at your wedding too. My wife and I could not recommend her enough! If you are looking for a photographer, Linda is the best!! -

We absolutely loved working with Linda! Not only is she so great at what she does - she’s an awesome person to be around! She captured every special moment from our wedding day. Linda at Awesomesauce was amazing! We chose the Shake and Bake for our intimate backyard family wedding and after seeing all the pictures it was like Linda was everywhere all at once. She got shots that happened that I didn’t even know happened during the wedding. She captured all of the most important moments and many of the quieter moments. We could not be happier with the job that she did. -

Linda at Awesomesauce photographed us for both our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures. She did a fantastic job with the pictures, and we couldn't be happier with the results. She's really personable and easy to talk, good at making others feel comfortable so that she can get the best shots. During the wedding, she did a great job of managing all of our various family members, and she got us every shot that she wanted. She's truly gifted as a photographer - not only will you and everyone else at the wedding look amazing, but her photos do a great job of capturing the story and the energy of the day. She was very prompt with the turnaround on our pictures as well. And the price of hiring her is a steal for someone as capable as her. -

Awesomesauce Photography (Linda) was awesome! From the start of the process she was organized and helpful in guiding us to choose the best shot list and ideas for timelines and locations. It rained on our wedding day and we had to pivot to move the ceremony inside. She showed up at the scheduled time and we talked through everything. She talked us through every picture and kept the shot list close at hand to make sure we got all of the shots we wanted. throughout the night It was a huge burden off my shoulders. The second shooter she used had a different technique and looked for different shots, which was a great compliment to Linda's style. Our photos are so amazing and we love them so much! We cannot wait to move into our new home and hang them all over the walls! The value for the price is great and she will work with you to tailor the packages to whatever you need. The online gallery is a great way for us to share the photos with our friends and families and have them choose the photos they like best for their homes. We could not be happier with everything Linda did for us. Highly recommend her services! -

Linda was truly awesome, she had the camera in her hands from arrival to departure. She was great to work with! She went above and beyond, helping me do things a photographer doesn't usually help with, like strapping my shoes. I provided her a list of photos and poises that I wanted to sure to get and she was very thorough in getting everything I asked for! Most importantly we are in love with all the pictures, all 276 of them! -

Linda is such a wonderful company. I have some bossy people in my family and I was worried that they would try to take over the wedding.Linda was able to direct them all with grace and confidence. Not only did she manage everyone well, but she kept me, the bride, from panicking. The pictures she took were fabulous. I hate the standard photographs, but she managed to capture the fun that we had at our wedding. The natural smiles and the love that our family had for us and each other. She gave us a USB with all our photos and a book. We love these photos to this day, a year and a half latter, and constantly smile when we see them. Linda is the best and low key person who produces quality photographs for every occasion. A fun thing that I discovered after the wedding, was that Linda had taken the photos for two other weddings I knew about. Small world, but not surprising given how talented Linda is. -

Linda was everything I needed during the wedding planning process! I met her through friends who used her for their wedding and I am so grateful to them for that! She is not only a talented photographer, she is an INCREDIBLE person. We were so stressed/nervous/excited and she was there willing to help in any way she could. She had our backs, she went the extra mile, and she wasn't afraid to join in on the fun! I don't know what we would have done without her, honestly, she made our day. Every time we turned around she was there, recording every memory. Looking through our wedding photos brings tears to my eyes, every picture is so special! I can't wait to use her again for all of our future photo needs. Sometimes I just want to send her an email to see how she's doing, and I'm sad now that we won't see her again for a while. Use Linda for everything! You won't regret it! She was the best wedding decision we made, and she made us feel more loved than our actual wedding planner! -

This is incredibly late, my husband and I got married September 14, 2019, but I wanted to make sure I took the time to come back and write this review. Linda is the absolute best photographer we could have hoped for. Linda made sure to take the time to find out what were the most important things to us on our day and made sure those were top priority. My main stressor for the day was timing because I knew we had to be out of the venue relatively early & I wanted to dance as much as possible. Somehow Linda kept us not only on schedule, but AHEAD OF SCHEDULE and squeezed in more photos than I thought we had time for. I ended up with almost a whole extra hour of dance time because of her absolutely stunning time management skills. Not only that - our photos turned out PERFECT! It was important to my husband and I that our photos not just be all formal (those were important too) but we really cared about our photos showing our fun, silly and wild spirits. Our reception photos are so fun and truly show our personalities that each photo brings me right back to that day. Each photo has a memory to go along with it and honestly what more could you ask for. Linda also offers these amazing services for a reasonable and affordable price, making it possible for even people on a budget to have an exceptional photographer for their big day. Literally cannot say enough amazing things about Linda and Awesomesauce. Just hire her already!! -

Linda is amazing! She is so responsive to emails and texts and is willing to do whatever you need! We literally took her to West Virginia for our engagement photos and she was just as excited as we were and went above and beyond to get us amazing pictures! She met with us and always was able to put us at ease; she has a way to get you to laugh and be expressive with her conversations. For our wedding she offered to field what could have been awkward mother/step mother stuff even before getting into it. She then helped me to schedule the entire day and put me at ease ensuring that everyone else stayed on time! She also made sure I was drinking water. And that is just about Linda herself. The photography is stellar! She found the lightning each time, always tracked the sunset, and made sure to get our best angles. We have so many to choose from that I want to print them all! I also can’t stop looking at them; she captured all of the perfect moments. -

Linda was the best! I balled my eyes out looking at all the beautiful moments she was able to capture from our wedding day.
To start from the beginning, she is super knowledgeable about typical wedding timelines and is more than willing to help with that part of the planning process. She really cares about her clients and really wants to get to know you. We met with her both through FaceTime and in person.
On the actual wedding day, she was super punctual and professional. We knew exactly what to expect. How she managed to take such beauitiful pictures of our ceremony without us even realizing she was there still blows my mind. She will help you get all the portraits and official pictures you want even if it means she has to help get some of your roudy family members back in line. Let me tell you, we were not an easy bunch, but she kept her cool (despite it was super hot that day!) and kept the difficult ones in check.
Last thing to say is that not only did she deliver over 1000 pictures to us, but she managed to do so in four weeks! Based on my research a lot of photographers take 6-8 weeks to get you pictures so this was AMAZING!
I would hire Linda again in a heart beat! -

Awesomesauce!
Linda was so amazing! The photographer was one of the most important parts of our wedding to me. It was important to me to find somebody that really captured who we were, rather than somebody who took the same stock photos that you see from every other wedding. Linda, from awesomesauce photography, delivered that for us! Our engagement shoot was a relaxed day at the park with a couple beers. However, it was the hottest day of the year (or so it seemed 😂) and we were both sweating through our shirts completely. But when we got the photos back they were amazing! She managed to capture the best parts of the day without all the heat and sweat! Same goes for the wedding. It POURED almost the entire day, but she worked around it, got amazing pictures in indoor spots and shot our portraits during a short break in the rain. Despite the rush trying to beat the rain, our pictures capture exactly who we are as a couple and the candids capture our friends in their best lights. She even remembered a story from the day he first told me he loved me, and managed to recreate that picture for us! She went above and beyond for us and made our day more than perfect. -

Linda was THE BEST photographer we could have asked for! She made us feel prepared and organized for our wedding day even though we had no idea what we were doing. On the day of the wedding, she made sure that we stayed on schedule without being overbearing and while still letting us goof around and have fun. Our wedding party had a lot of personality, but she took it all in stride. We were happy to see her joining in on the dance floor and hope she had as much fun at the reception as we did! We have only received a couple teaser photos, but we are confident that all of out pictures will be just as beautiful and representative of our big day. -

From start to finish, Linda was completely awesome! My husband and I couldn’t have been happier with our wedding services provided to us by Awesomesauce Photography. Linda met with us on two occasions prior to the wedding, and was always available for questions or concerns right on up to the event. She helped us plan a detailed list of needs and wants for our photos, and was extremely helpful with offering suggestions in situations where we were unsure. On the day of, she warned me that she was going to be my “Shadow” for the entire day…and she wasn’t kidding! She was a PERFECTLY WONDERFUL shadow to have though! Linda was continually there expertly directing us all when needed, yet she was also at a distance when possible throughout the festivities allowing us to completely enjoy our special day. I would truthfully need an hour of your time to go down the list of little and big things that Linda took care of all through the evening. From lacing up my corset, catching amazing pictures outside before the sun set, orchestrating the perfect moment with my Father’s first look, tying up my sneakers when my feet needed out of dress shoes, and some additional unmentionables that we brides need throughout the process…wink wink…Linda was right there! It was safe to say that she was a part of the family by the end of the night. Overall, if you are looking for someone who is professional, outgoing, detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about their career, Linda Spencer and Awesomesauce Photography is the way to go. Thanks again so very much Linda for truly adding great joy to our celebration! -

Linda knocked it out of the park!
Linda did a great job of capturing the spirit of our wedding. She got all of the standard shots along with plenty of shots with 'character' that we loved. She was with us all day and worked tirelessly to make sure we got all of the special shots we wanted. It was especially nice to not have to worry about a cutoff time. More than one guest remarked on how unobtrusive she was, which is amazing considering how many pictures she shot. She's friendly, professional, fun, and an excellent photographer! We gladly recommend her! -

We booked her for the whole wedding day, starting with getting ready in the morning, the ceremony and the reception. She is very friendly, professional, flexible and reliable, but also entertaining! Not only she was taking photos, she was also sometimes dancing with us and making everybody feel comfortable!
The photos turned out to be great, the color pictures as well as the black and white!

We had a somewhat condensed wedding timeline and ended up behind schedule, but Linda somehow worked her magic and got everything done! She was so fun to work with on the day of, and definitely helped to minimize the stress factor for this type A bride. Her packages are extremely affordable and she is always willing to work with you to ensure that you get what you want within your budget. We got our wedding photos to the day of our 1 month anniversary and....well, we were blown away. The candid shots, the group shots, the portraits—everything was so, so perfect. We're SO happy with the photos and wouldn't have wanted anyone else to capture our big day! Highly, highly recommend Linda. Thank you for everything! <3 -

She helped us with everything: she helped make a timeline for our wedding events and kept everything moving smoothly day of, she helped pin on the boutonnières and had extra bobby pins for the girls, and she even stepped in when my maid of honor spilled dinner on her dress with tide wipes! She will keep you laughing the whole day through all of the last minute stress! Trust me on this one, and book her now!! -

She is definitely someone who goes above and beyond the call of duty to capture and create a magical memory of the day. She can perform under strict timelines or if the day changes and takes a life of it's own (as it oftentimes does) and still get each picture the client has planned and then some additional beautiful candid shots that really capture the energy and overall atmosphere! I highly recommend Linda if you are looking for an amazing photographer who is not only talented but sweet and hard-working!!!
