    Absolutely fabulous! Highly recommend!

    Melissa at Avonley made our special day even more special!! The consultation was so professional and intentional. They helped with all those small details and helped us feel even more ready! They let us bring our cat Gunther and that made the day even better! I loved that they let us come back for different walk throughs! and cared so much for my vision, it felt like they cared just as much as I did ! Melissa was quick to respond and to take care of any issues during the rehearsal and day of! The photos are absolutely gorgeous & their place is STUNNING. I wish we could get married there over and over! Excited to take our one year anniversary photos outside the barn!

    Avonley Homestead was the best venue for our fall wedding. Additionally, Melissa & her husband go above and beyond for their clients. The communication was always incredible which helped the stress of wedding planning. Their passion for what they do is shown in their kindness and helpfulness!

    Perfect Wedding!

    I am so glad I found Avonley! Beautiful barn and outdoor space - perfect for my fall wedding. Melissa was quick to answer any questions I had and very flexible and accommodating. Every guest raved about how it was the best venue and wedding they had been to. It was also very affordable.

    I will add that will there is a ton of beautiful outdoor space and foliage, it is only a couple of blocks from downtown Shelbyville, making it very convenient. There are great AirBNBs and restaurants close by, as well as a hotel less than a 5 min drive.

    Everything was truly perfect!

    Beautiful and Accommodating

    Avonley Homestead wasn't the venue we were looking for, but it was the venue we deserved. Craig and LaJuana have tirelessly built this venue and the result is incredible. Spacious, scenic fields, a cozy barn, and dedicated, separate dressing areas for the bridal party and the groomsman are just the beginning.

    Craig and LaJauna are always available for questions and will make every effort for accommodations. If they can help, they will do everything in their power to. There is nothing we could have changed to make our day more amazing. Thank you for everything!

    Side note: One thing that was a relief for us was an available restroom in both the barn and the bridal suite. The pictures didn't make it entirely clear at first.

    Horrible Experience

    Horrible experience I would not recommend this venue to anyone.

    I'm so sorry your experience with Avonley in the past was not positive. It is very sad to hear. As of March of 2022 Avonley Homestead has been under new Ownership and Management, I can assure you, and everyone else, that the reason for this experience is no longer affiliated with Avonley Homestead! We know that not everyone has a 5 star experience every single time, but for your experience to be horrible, that should have never happened. My sincerest apologies for your poor experience with the previous owners. If you'd like to come back for an anniversary photo shoot/first dance reenactment, we would love to provide that for you.
