Avon Gardens was our first choice of venue and we don’t regret it one bit. The venue was beautiful and the staff was friendly and easy to communicate with all for an affordable price. It was a dream wedding come true.

Pros:

(1) The gardens are STUNNING! I mean, wow. (2) The staff is perfection. Didn't even need a day-of coordinator. (The DJ also helped with the timeline!) (3) You get to choose your own food/alcohol vendors. (4) More cost-effective than a lot of venues (5) Rentable items (signs, center pieces, table numbers, card/gift holder)

Cons:

(1) If you live in Indy, traffic is a nightmare. Even on Saturday morning when we went to pick up our car, still horrible. (2) They charge $300/hour for the "getting ready room"—I had assumed that would be included (3) There's an extra tent charge based on guest numbers. (Despite the tents being rented and set up anyway 24/7.) We also didn't know that until the final payment was due.

Honestly—the pros definitely outweighed the cons. I was a stressed bride, but really shouldn't have been. They had thought of most things and covered it for us. And those cons are communication problems or policies that could be easily fixed. The team is fantastic, the grounds are gorgeous, and the price is solid. :)

Avon Gardens was our wedding venue. I got married on June 11 of this year. It was amazing. I can’t complain Avon gardens was a magical place to have our wedding. We were so pleased and grateful with the staff from Avon gardens who made our wedding dreams come true. They helped us decorate putting every details in order. They were so attentive in every details for the wedding. During our final meeting, to our rehearsal before the wedding and the day of the wedding. They made every wish and detail possible to even having our projector placed for our wedding video to show. They made us feel every time welcomed. The place is beautiful there’s changing room with cool air, bathrooms outside . In the night they place candles around and lights it’s romantic and magical. Avon Gardens is the place to have your wedding. Thank you Avon gardens staff for all you did to make our wedding dream come true.

We absolutely loved having our wedding here. Even out of peak season, the place was beautiful and the setup was above and beyond! Staff were welcoming and made the day was less stressful for us. We enjoyed the flexibility offered here (ability to have our own caterers, set up layout/lots of space) and would absolutely recommend Avon Gardens!

The staff at Avon Gardens were wonderful. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and all of the guests raved about the setting. The staff at Avon Gardens were responsive and absolutely willing to do whatever it took to make my wedding vision come true. The fact that they do all of the set-up and tear down was an important factor in my decision to use Avon Gardens and they did a great job. Being that my husband and I are a bit older than the average couple, our parents are in their 70's and I didn't want them to be left with a bunch of physical work at the end of the reception, but the staff packed all of the decorations and loaded it into the cars for them! This venue is absolutely gorgeous and I would recommend it to anyone without reservation. My guests told me it was like being in a real-life fairy tale, and the photos are simply dreamy. Karen, Stacy, and the rest of the staff were helpful, professional, and great to work with. Thank you so much. It was the wedding of my dreams!

We LOVED our experience working with Avon Gardens. The gardens are so beautiful and made the perfect backdrop for our wedding photos. Everyone there was very easy to work with and communicated very well with us throughout the whole process. They ran the wedding like a well-oiled machine, but it didn't feel rushed or cookie-cutter like other venues. I also loved that we were able to bring our own decorations and they set everything up beautifully! I definitely recommend Avon Gardens for a venue.

This venue is absolutely beatiful!! The staff is very friendly and helpful in planning g your perfect day! I am looking forward to planning my special day with them for May of 2019!!

I cannot say enough amazing things about this Venue! Karen and Stacy kept us well informed right up until our send-off! They take such great care of the grounds, it was a truly magical night!! All of our guests are STILL talking about our wedding, it was two months ago!! The memories are going to last us a lifetime, thanks to the amazing photographer they recommended! If you have ANY doubts, this is the place to go! Worth every single penny!!!

Seriously, Lisa, Stacy and their team of wedding experts truly made our day one for fairytales. If you’re on the fence don’t be! My guests are still raving about this venue and we haven’t even got our pictures back yet. Love this place!

This past May, my husband and I had our wedding at Avon Gardens and our guest can't stop raving about how beautiful it was! This is hands down the best wedding venue in Indiana! The staff is so friendly and passionate about what they do. If we had any questions along the way , they always took time to answer our questions and got back to us right away! They make sure everything runs smoothly and take care of so many things behind the scenes. They truly care about what they do and work really hard to make sure you and your guests have a wonderful time!

My daughter was married at Avon Gardens on June 2. This is a memorable venue - a natural wonder that takes everyone by surprise by its unexpected color, secret hideaways, perfect picture spots, and attention to detail. What's even better is that the staff is so experienced that they set up the venue quickly and seem to accommodate every to-do that the bride has on her list. This day was perfect in every way and much of the credit goes to Avon Gardens.

From the get-go, everyone we worked with at Avon Gardens was kind, responsive, offered suggestions, and listened to what we wanted. They have every item you can think of to help make your wedding dream come true. Table lines, centerpieces, lovely gardens, it was exactly what we were looking for in a venue!

Our daughter chose this location for it's beautiful grounds, however the true beauty was discovered when we had the weather turn on us! The staff, who had already been flawless, seamlessly transitioned the reception into a ceremony and had our 200+ guest feel as if it was always supposed to be that way!

The weather was freezing and the staff kept the heat pumping.

I am truly grateful to the staff for ensuring that our family's wedding was amazing! Every signal employee was helpful and pleasant while working cold rain and sleet!

We've been to a lot of weddings, if you want to get married outdoors, do it here, it'll be your best move! We will add photos when we get them - wedding was last night - I just couldn't wait to share your gratitude!

We got married here June 9th. It was a magical night! We had both wedding and reception here. We couldn't be more happy with how the whole process was. From the time we met Karen till the day we got married i was at peace knowing her and her staff would make the night amazing! I was not disappointed! They paid attention to every detail. They took care of all the set up and clean up. I couldn't be more happy with how our day went. The gardens are breathtaking and we got some amazing pictures! I highly recommend this venue to any couple! It is worth every penny!

Really an amazing venue for the ceremony and dinner. It was beautiful and accommodating for our needs as we wanted to use a buffet caterer and our own alcohol. Honestly if you haven't checked them out you really should as the place is just amazing and well priced.

We were married here July 10th, 2016. It was beautiful. We chose to be married under the tree instead of the arbor, more shade on such a hot beautiful day. Afterwards, the pictures with the photographer were just endless. So many options, it really was perfect. I highly recommend this place!!

I loved getting to have our wedding at Avon Gardens. The venue itself it unique and so beautiful!! The staff was extremely helpful from beginning to end of the event. I loved that we could bring in any food that we wanted. I also really enjoyed the flowers to put down for the isle and just everything about getting married here!

I got married here in August and LOVED that I chose this venue! The venue may appear pricy up front, but being able to select any caterer we want and buying our own alcohol made the price of this venue reasonable. Also, with this venue, we had Amanda as our day-of person, and she did a BEAUTIFUL job of setting up all of the miscellaneous things for our wedding day, which helped my family really enjoy the day. We first got a tour of the gardens with Karen, and we were just stunned at the beauty that just keeps on going. If you want a beautiful garden wedding, definitely go on a tour here! Her contract is really low-key, and we appreciated the freedom. The money was due 4 weeks before the wedding, and when we went, we told her about our schedule and she let us pick out the flowers we wanted to decorate the arbor. The day before the wedding was our rehearsal, and we brought everything that we could with us, then told Amanda what everything was and where we wanted it (thinks like the programs, guestbook, centerpieces, etc). The day of the wedding, everything was set up in the dressing rooms for the bridal party + immediate family, and the day went so perfect!! I was really amazed at how easy they made my wedding day go. I also loved how the venue exudes this beautiful, magical atmosphere, and the staff of AG were so professional and wonderful. Overall I had a wonderful day and wouldn't change anything, I highly recommend this as a wedding venue!!!

My husband and I got married at Avon Gardens in July 2014, and we couldn't have been happier with how it turned out. B.J. and the rest of the Avon Gardens staff were so kind and helpful. It was pouring down rain and storming up until 45 minutes before our ceremony started at 10:30 a.m., and the staff were out there drying the grass for us. It was also very helpful that the staff sets up all of the tables, chairs, and decorations. I couldn't have imagined getting married anywhere else; Avon Gardens is such a beautiful place to have a wedding.

I had my wedding at Avon Gardens in May 2015. The venue was absolutely wonderful - more beautiful than I could have imagined! They were very responsive through email so I had minimal anxiety about the venue in the weeks approaching the wedding. They have you bring all your decorations to your rehearsal and set them up so there's no work for the couple or family on the day of the wedding. We had a misunderstanding with the florist and the venue stepped in to help us with that situation with no extra cost, and the result was beautiful. We found them to be very reasonably priced compared to other venues in the area, with fewer restrictions - for example, there's no catering requirement, which was really important to us. We also did not hire a professional wedding bartender, but had an open bar with a couple of people tending the bar who had some experience. They were happy to set up the bar for us and provided ice throughout the evening, and we only had to purchase liquor liability insurance ($150). I would absolutely recommend this venue highly to anyone interested in an outdoor wedding!

I have nothing negative to say about this venue! BJ was a pleasure to work with and helped to create a magical wedding. She was organized and on top of everything. They provide all the essentials to create a perfect wedding. The venue was flawless and so many guests commented that my wedding was the most beautiful wedding they had been to. The beautiful gardens are more than enough decoration and backdrop for the picture perfect wedding. We were lucky enough to have amazing weather. I'd love to get married over and over again (the the same man) at this venue, it was so perfect!

Karen, BJ, and all of the Avon Gardens team were amazing! They were so friendly and helpful throigh out the entire process and made our day perfect - we could not have asked for anything more. Already a beautiful atmosphere in the gardens, they added personal for us all over the place- rose petals, signs, and candles. We were able to take everything to them and they set it all up and coordinated it all with our other vendors. We did not have to worry about a single thing except for enjoying our day. Highly recommended!!!

Avon Gardens was such a dream come true for my wedding day! Karen, BJ and their team were so helping from the beginning of the process until I walked down the aisle. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking and a photographer's dream. I wouldn't have chose any other venue for my special day. Thanks soooo much!

So incredibly impressed with this venue!!! If the fact that it is the day after my wedding and I am already reviewing Avon Gardens isn't enough my pictures can 100% back me up. I was so nervous when picking a wedding location but I am so glad I chose Avon Gardens! BJ was a joy to plan with and very detail oriented just as I am. She was extremely helpful in setting up all my decorations, communicating with my family and bridal party and responding to questions or concerns. When looking at this venue you may think it is a little pricey or that the weather might be a factor but our day turned out incredible and was worth EVERY PENNY. I had guest approaching me all night to tell me that it was the best wedding they had ever been to! When looking for a outdoor garden setting this is definitely the place to go!

Best place in town for an outdoor wedding! Staff is courteous and helpful. The grounds are so scenic and beautiful. And you can choose your own cater and bartender! It's definitely worth looking into!

Karen and BJ with Avon Gardens were great! The venue was so beautiful. All of our guests kept commenting how wonderful the gardens and paths were during the reception. Their team worked a miracle. It rained all morning the day of our wedding and stopped just before the ceremony. Their crew went out and quickly dried the chairs and grass. The staff was very professional and did a perfect job with the setup and tear down. BJ made the planning phase of the wedding so easy and relaxed. It was amazing to have our wedding and reception at Avon Gardens. We've even considered throwing an anniversary party there in the future.

This place is absolutely gorgeous! Definitely worth the price for that "awe" factor! The staff was very helpful along the way as well and willing to work with me on anything I wanted.

Avon Gardens did a fantastic job at my wedding. They were so helpful and thought of all the little details I never would have dreamed of. The gardens were beautiful and my guests loved it. I really did not have anything to worry about they had it all under control! I highly reccommend them, its worth the money! Did I mention it was beautiful!

I knew almost instantly that Avon Gardens was the venue for us, and it made for the perfect dreamy Autumn wedding. The staff is wonderful and warm. I'm so grateful for our experience and would 100% recommend to anyone in the market.

Avon Gardens was not only a beautiful venue, they went above and beyond to make the day special for my husband and I. We got married on October 10 and it was cloudy and drizzly that day. Nevertheless, they provided sides for our tents, heaters and umbrellas to the guests waiting for the ceremony. Although our guests initially complained about the commute out to Avon, once they arrived they understood why we wanted to have our wedding in this little slice of Eden. It was so beautiful and perfect. While it was pricey - for all of the beauty, details and inclusion of tents, chairs, napkins, table clothes (etc., etc., etc.) it was a great value.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Avon Gardens in late July 2024. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice! All of the staff here is very professional and was very kind and helpful with everything for the rehearsal and on the day of the wedding. I think the only con for us was that you’re not able to show up until 3pm the day of the wedding, we wish had more time. But other than that, everything was perfect. Leading up to the wedding they had great communication and were very responsive with any questions I had. The planners are very detailed oriented and make sure to make detailed plans with you for everything before the wedding. They do so much work to make the gardens look perfect for every event. And, being in late July is was definitely hot and humid but they had plenty of swamp coolers to keep everyone cool and comfortable. I would recommend Avon Gardens and all the women on their team for your next event if you’re looking for a beautiful venue with professional and helpful staff.

Highly recommend this venue!! It was so nice to have the ceremony and reception all at one place. There are 2 options for uncovered ceremonies and the reception is under tents. Tori, the wedding manager, is very responsive over email/WeddingWire and in general is a lovely person. They are very up-front about costs and all the ceremony decor is included.

Many of the guests commented on how gorgeous the venue was. The garden is gorgeous during the day and magical at night when the staff turn on all the twinkle lights and all the candles are lit!

They act as a day of coordinator to help things go smoothly. This was definitely needed for our wedding since it was rainy and we decided to switch to the covered area for our ceremony 20 minutes before starting. It was a stressful time having to make decisions on the fly, but the owner, Karen, was so kind and made every effort to keep me informed of the weather and my options.

My husband and I were thrilled with the venue, Avon Gardens! The grounds are beyond gorgeous and so intimate. We had always dreamed of getting married in a outdoor garden setting, with candlelight in the evening, and this was perfect! Ever since I attended my very first wedding as a little girl, at Avon Gardens, I dreamed of getting married here. We had amazing vendors who made the day seamless! I will say, they do have a set way of doing things there, with set decor they encourage you to use. I wanted certain decor as I was going for a "french garden look", that I DIY'd for my wedding, and so we had our planner and the Avon Gardens planner set that up. They are pretty strict when it comes to certain things, such as set up time, using ladders, too much decor. However, we were able to get everything executed that we wanted! Stacey and Karen were very helpful in walking us through how the day will go during the rehearsal. The reception area is gorgeous once everything comes together. I highly recommend having your wedding here! You won't regret it! Our guests raved about how beautiful it all was! Thank you ladies!

Attended a wedding at Avon Gardens. Best outdoor venue EVER. We will be back to plan some events in the future!

Absolutely beautiful scenery for our ceremony. My family was so impressed with the gardens. I was also impressed by how incredibly organized the entire process was.

We had a morning wedding on 7/7/18. The gardens were beautiful and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything went perfectly. They even had a golf cart available to get my 94 year old Nana from the car to her seat and then also used it to get her to the reception! My day was beautiful and I am so glad we went with Avon Gardens!

The venue is beautiful! They were very flexible with my fiancé and I, especially through the COVID-19. They made sure our day ran flawlessly and was beautifully set up! The only problem we had with them is communication. I wasn’t informed when the person i had been contacting about my wedding was laid off during Covid so they didn’t receive my emails. If you called them, you HAVE to leave a message otherwise they won’t get back to you. This was a minor detail that they made up for with the service we received in the days leading up and on our wedding day!

Karen and Stacy were extremely helpful in planning for our special day! They made it completely stress free and made sure that every little detail was taken care of. We were so wrapped up in the day and family photos that we didn't think to check how our cocktail hour was going, but they had it all figured out. Everything went seamlessly on our wedding day. Avon Gardens was gorgeously decorated, especially at night when it was all lit up. We definite recommend them!

First off, this place is beautiful and continues to make improvements and updates. Over the year that passed from when we booked the venue to the date of our wedding, several new structures were built and decorations added. It is truly gorgeous. You need to provide minimal decorations yourself -- we just brought a few things for the tables.

This place is a well-oiled wedding machine. There are pros and cons to this.

Pros: They know what they're doing. They have plans A, B, and C covered. They've done this a zillion times and they know what can go wrong and how to address it. You definitely feel like they have everything under control during the rehearsal and the wedding day itself. When you pay for this venue, you are also getting a day-of coordinator. As a bride, you don't have to think about or worry about anything. It's all being done right. This is invaluable.

Cons: Sometimes I felt like just another money-making bride being thrown into the machine. Communication can be weak, especially if your wedding date is not approaching soon. If you are trying to plan ahead for your wedding, it can be tough to get in touch with anyone from the venue until you are about a month or so away -- I assume this is because they are busy with other brides and not ready to focus on your wedding yet. I had periods of time where my emails went unanswered for 40-50 days, or when I (for example) scheduled a rehearsal on the phone and then later got an email asking when I'd like to schedule my rehearsal. That part can be frustrating.

Overall though I would recommend this venue. It is expensive but worth it. Certainly the most gorgeous and convenient place I have ever seen for a wedding and I was lucky to have mine there.

Avon Gardens was absolutely beautiful for my wedding day-my guests couldn't believe we'd found such a gorgeous spot for our wedding.

The staff here are all pretty fabulous, from the owner to the people tending the gardens. They provide day of support and do all the set up, which is extremely nice to not have to worry about. They even had mini water bottles for our guests at the ceremony since it was a hot day and there was no cover from the sun at the ceremony spot.

My only 2 issues were this: during rehearsal, I could have used a little more guidance as to where everyone needed to go. We had been told previously but that was at least a month before and my nerves got the best of my memory.

Also, a little more flexibility in our time allowed would have been nice. We had a morning wedding and we're only allowed in 9a-2pm. Getting in at 8am would have been helpful. I understand not being able to extend past 2pm since there was an evening wedding as well, but we did feel rushed at the end.

Overall, however, the experience was great and I would recommend them to other couples!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Avon Gardens. What a naturally beautiful location for a wedding!! The staff there is fantastic and literally do everything for you on the wedding day. We were able to drop everything off the day before the wedding. It was such a relief to not have to force my family members to set up our entire reception venue. Before our ceremony, my husband and I were able to walk through and see everything almost completed. The entire night, the staff was there helping whenever and wherever they could. My parents, in laws, and my husband and I were able to completely enjoy our night without worrying about anything. We loved having our wedding reception at Avon Gardens and I would highly recommend this venue to someone looking for a naturally beautiful location for a wedding!!

Karen and her staff were extremely helpful and made our day really special. The gardens are beautiful with candles and lights everywhere, a perfect romantic setting. They work best with phone calls or in-person meetings. They have a few restrictions since they host multiple weddings each weekend, which may make it harder to schedule things. All of our guests loved the venue, and they did a great job accommodating older/disabled guests.

The value was better than some other options we looked at. Sometimes it seemed like they nickel-and-dimed things, but it still ended up being less expensive and we only paid for what we wanted. They were flexible with the vendors and provided great recommendations as well. All of the staff were very nice people and we were happy with our choice!

Before my fiancé and I got engaged, I always said I wanted to have my wedding at Avon Gardens! Well my fiancé proposed back in June and it was time to start planning! Avon Gardens was in our top 3! So we emailed 5-6 different venues to set up appointments to tour the properties. All the venues emailed me back within 1-2 days...except for Avon Gardens. They NEVER emailed me back! So we decided to book with Oasis Events Indy downtown at the Regions Tower! I have heard that the venue is beautiful...but we'll never know. So disappointing...

I got married here June 2018. Stacy was annoyed at any questions we had and walked out on us a few months before my wedding. If it rains, then they have no idea of what to do. They moved my guest book and camera, so no one signed it. My father in law left his suit jacket there and they would not return my calls. The one tent we rented flooded, so it could not be used. No communication, let alone a refund was given. These people just want your money. A year and a half later and I am still very bitter about the whole thing. Run run run! The hidden fees just grew. I’m a pretty forgiving and easy going person, but getting married here was the worst mistake of my life!
