We could not have asked for a better officiant. From start to finish, he was incredibly patient, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in making our ceremony meaningful and stress free. He took the time to listen, offered guidance when we needed it, and approached everything with professionalism and kindness. His calm presence and warm personality made the entire experience feel seamless and personal. Beyond being extremely knowledgeable and organized, he is simply a wonderful human being who truly cares about the people he works with. I would be remiss if I didn’t write a review about Alex from Authentic Awakenings. He met my wife and me at the Galleria Waterfall in Houston, and from the moment we showed up, he was already there, early, smiling, and ready to go. He was professional but still laid back, and honestly, he just made everything feel easy. From start to finish, his communication was on point. He stayed in touch, kept checking in, and asked all the right questions about what we both believed so he could put together a ceremony that actually felt like us. That meant a lot, because my wife is religious and I’m not, and Alex didn’t make that weird or complicated. He found the perfect middle ground that made it special for her and still real and comfortable for me. He wrote the whole script himself and would check with me to see if I wanted him to change anything to make sure we both felt right about it. My wife had no idea I’d been planning it all along, and Alex helped me pull it off perfectly. We didn’t hire a photographer because nobody else was there—it wasn’t anybody else’s day but ours. Alex even grabbed a few pictures for us that captured everything perfectly. It was a true surprise elopement, just raw and emotional. My wife was crying, I got emotional, and even Alex got choked up. It was everything I hoped it would be, the start of something beautiful, and I’ll always be grateful to Alex and Authentic Awakenings for helping make that moment what it was. -

Alex was an amazing officiant for our wedding. We were nervous having someone marry us that we did not have a long standing relationship with but Alex met with us, was warm and felt like we had known him forever. From talking us through every step, getting to know us, writing our wedding script to being there for us on our wedding day before and after the ceremony. He was amazing every step of the way. My husband said he really helped calm his nerves at the altar and he even asked us what we would like him to wear. He genuinely cares about his couples and is very detailed orientated. We would recommend Alex all day everyday. -

Alex is absolutely amazing. We could not have asked for a better experience. We were not your traditional couple when it came to vows and we had a few hurdles we needed to get around to make our ceremony feel like “us”. Alex listened from the very beginning and checked every box we wanted or needed. We cannot recommend him enough!

Best vender around I’ve had the privilege of working with in quite some time.
Was a great sport, made us feel very comfortable from the very first video call to the ceremony itself.
The script an his services both English/Spanish made us feel like it was more special.
Rather than going to a court house and overpaying someone’s that’s ready to get it over with before it starts.
He customizes everything to your vision helping you make a special moment perfect to have you last a lifetime.
Very reasonable with prices.
Would highly recommend, he’s very pro love so if you are looking for someone to do right by you and your special someone. We recommend him 100% -

If you’re unsure where to start in choosing an officiant, we were in the exact same boat because you’re picking someone who will be a crucial part of your special day. And that’s when we came across Alex. Our first Zoom call with him put us at ease right away and we were immediately ready to book with no hesitation. He’s incredibly down-to-earth and made the entire ceremony planning process seamless with his support and guidance. Our family and friends couldn’t stop raving about the ceremony- it was even more perfect than we could’ve imagined!
Alex truly enhances your special day. He checked on both of us separately before the ceremony to provide reassurance and just to ease our nerves. We’re truly so grateful to have had him officiate our wedding, and I guarantee that once you meet him, you won’t look anywhere else! -

Fantastic Experience
Alex was our officiant and he was SUPER helpful. I was panicking because the wedding venue canceled on us the night before, due to weather issues, and he helped me find an alternative. He was communicative the whole way through the process. Alex was professional, supportive and friendly with our guests. Being a queer couple has me scriptural of hiring an officiant, but Alex was accepting even prior to him know we were a queer couple. He also dressed so well/stylishly!!!!! I couldn’t recommend him more!!! If I had to get married all over again, I would’ve started out with him as my officiant!!!! Just yes!!!!! Work with him!

J & M wedding officiant review
Alex was an amazing person to work with. Before our wedding, we had 2 Zoom calls with him. The first was for him to get to know us a little better and then the last one dealt with final preparations for our big day. He is very professional and easy to communicate with. Alex wrote a beautiful speech for my wife and I on our wedding day. It made a lot of people tear up! He is very punctual and also a great speaker. I would recommend him to anyone that is looking for someone to officiate their wedding. -

I highly recommend Alex ! He made our day super special ! He provided a script to make sure we were okay with it , gave us recommendations on a location and looked super sharp as everyone thought he was our pastor lol! Alex helped us take the leap yesterday on leap day and we couldn't be happier with the services he provided. We started with a quick zoom call. He was able to take in what we had in mind and prepare an overview script. We were able to go back and forth a few times as our details changed. He was prompt and insightful through the whole process. He showed up early on the day of the wedding and was patient and allowed a late start as people trickled in up to 30min late. He officiated wonderfully and then took his leave shortly after the service and paperwork was completed. All in all, highly recommended. I'll definitely hire him again the next time I get married (joking!)Authentic Awakenings's reply:

Alex did an amazing job officiating our ceremony. After our original officiant went MIA 4 days before the wedding, I was scrambling to find someone who was available. Alex responded to me quickly and gave us lots of advice even before booking. He really took his time to get to know my husband and I, and he wrote and performed a beautiful, personalized ceremony. I don't even think a close friend could have done something better. I highly recommend!Authentic Awakenings's reply:

Amazing!!!
We hired Alex to officiate our small elopement ceremony and he was amazing! He worked with us on the script and even catered to our desire for a spiritual ceremony by incorporating a lovely guided meditation. He was also incredibly friendly, communicative and eloquent. We loved how he went with the flow for our non-traditional ceremony and was nothing but kind, patient and professional. Can’t recommend Alex enough for a ceremony of any size. He’s gifted at officiating and all around great human being! -

Alex was extremely easy going and helped officiated our wedding ceremony hybrid- so my spouse online through zoom and me in person. We had gotten our marriage license and it was super easy to contact him for the intimate and low-key ceremony we wanted. Although it was his first ceremony hosted at his home we felt reassured with his initiatives and questions right away. My partner and I really appreciated the time Alex took to discuss each of our needs, individual personalities, and how we could implement our personalities into our vows and ceremony process. My only concern was that we had given the officiant's script a lookover and, something I had requested be edited out was somehow left in. Otherwise, everything was beautifully executed and we were very happy with the care for attention and service over all. -
