Excellent!

Seun is the man! He was able to do everything that we wanted and was there to offer expert advice for things we hadn’t thought of yet. He was very polite and professional and was able to change things up on the fly during the event when other stuff didn’t go as planned. He was very communicative and made sure that we were getting exactly what we wanted. Can’t thank him enough for his hard work and making our day even more special.

Best DJ/ Photo Booth EVER

We had an amazing experience with Southlands DJ’s and Photo Booth! They made our wedding the day of our dreams and left us with a personalised Photo Booth photo album that all of our guests were able to leave a special note next to a copy of their pictures! Truly amazing company and we could not be happier with how they did our wedding!

Amazing photo booth

They were amazing when it came to day of our wedding. From booking them to the set up, everyone had fun with taking photos and having something to take home. I was glad we went with them because having a scrapbook for everyone to sign and attach their photo was a great idea.

Tony from Austin Classic DJ was beyond exceptional. He was very communicative from the very start of when we hired him for our wedding which was very reassuring. After our initial call with him to talk about details, we knew right away we made the right choice. He was very detail orientated and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed for our big day. Day of our wedding, he was punctual and very efficient from setup to the actual start of the reception. He definitely knows how to work the crowd and people never left the dancefloor! The photobooth he provided was the best quality I have ever seen and it was a huge hit with our guests. Tony went above and beyond on our big day and we are so happy we made the decision to go with him. 5 stars isn't enough to rate this experience.

Covid-19 made us cancel our wedding but we still enjoyed working with them to plan our wedding!

We booked Austin Classic DJ for our June wedding. We're active military stationed overseas and COVID prevented us from being able to travel back to the U.S. for our wedding in June so we had to (very sadly) cancel and reschedule to October. Unfortunately, we also had to cancel the October date because things have not improved. They were so understanding and willing to help us in any way they could both times. Even though we didn't actually get to enjoy Austin Classic DJ's services on our wedding day, we appreciate working with a vendor that was so flexible and easy to work with during difficult times. I highly recommend their services!

Photo booth was such a hit!

We hired Austin Classic for the photo booth at our wedding and they did not disappoint. I have been in the wedding industry as a coordinator for 15 years, and when it came time to plan my own wedding, it was really important to me to choose vendors that I had a personal relationship with and who were among the top 1% in the industry for what they do. I never even considered anyone else to do the photo booth on our big day because of how phenomenal Austin Classic is at what they do. Although we did use our own backdrop, they usually come equipped with everything needed to ensure your guests have a great time! The staff is top notch from start to finish, and even dresses the part by showing up dressed appropriately to fit in with your guests (I don't know how many times I have seen photo booth attendants show up in jeans and casual clothes when the event is formal). They know how to operate the booth seamlessly and are always there to make sure your guests have the props they need and rile them up to make sure the photos turn out amazing and funny! There is a large selection of props that are hilarious and add to the overall fun of the booth. Plus, they help each guest put a copy of their photo into scrapbook for you to take home as a neat memento (plus you get all of the copies digitally too)! For all of the brides and grooms out there looking for a photo booth company who will not only provide you with the most fun booth photos, but will also make the entire process so easy and seamless, look no further than Austin Classic!

Thank you Austin Classic DJ!

Tony was our DJ and he did a great job! He was easy to work with, responded quickly to emails, and played whatever songs we wanted. He offered to set up 30 minutes earlier at no extra charge so there would be music playing when guests transitioned from the ceremony to the reception hall. He was also willing to work with my husband's cousin who does sound for bands. His cousin brought speakers to connect to Tony's equipment so the overall sound was top notch! Tony was a great MC too. He made sure everything ran smoothly the entire night! I recommend Austin Classic DJ to future brides, especially if you are on a budget. Thanks Austin Classic DJ!

Kept us dancing all night

Tony was incredible. He was extremely personable and easy to work with. He worked around our hectic schedules to be there for us. Tony put on a great show and kept the entire crowd dancing from start to finish. Our crowd was bouncing and smiling all night long! Thanks Tony!

Highly Recommend!

Tony helped to make my special day everything that I had dreamed about. Not only did he not miss anything that we had talked about, he realized what songs everyone was really enjoying and kept with that theme of music for the night. Having Tony and Austin Classic as our DJ made my life easy. I didnt have to worry about a thing! It also helped that Tony seemed to really care about me as the bride, even offered for me to come and cool off by his fan after taking photos in the heat. Thanks for such a great night Tony!

Appreciated the nerd in us

Tim was just absolutely remarkable. He contacted me about a month from our big day and had a brief questionnaire for my now husband and I. We had a handful of rather nerdy requests and he complied without any questions. When we finally met the day of the wedding, I wanted to make sure he knew at what point of "Journey to the Island" we wanted to be announced (we chose a nerdy Jurassic Park piece of music for our entrance. He knew exactly what I was talking about before I even finished. Then he went on to say he enjoyed queuing the nerdy songs we wanted to make sure were included at our wedding. Thanks Tim, you were truly amazing!

Tim was Fantastic!

I hired Austin Classic DJ through a bundle package with my photographer, Weddings by Tony and Elena (who I also highly recommend), that included photography, DJ services and a photo booth. It was a great way to save a few (or a lot of) pennies as a bundle package, but the service was still high quality! Tim was a great DJ for us, he sent us a detailed questionnaire a couple weeks before the wedding to make sure he understood our tastes and he was accommodating of music requests from guests during the reception. You can't go wrong with Tim!

Highly Recommended!

Tim with Austin Classic DJ is AMAZING. We did not actually meet until the day of my wedding, but I had zero concern because I felt like he already knew me so well. Tim sent me an email questionnaire with questions about me, about my now-husband, about my ceremony, about our likes and dislikes, and some music questions. He wanted to know what artists and styles we liked and if we had any choices for during the ceremony. When I had some difficulty coming up with my own ideas, he made some great suggestions based on the initial questionnaire responses I had sent him. Our ceremony music was perfect and led us into an even more perfect evening. The song choices all night were a perfect reflection of my husband and I. All night long I had people complimenting out amazing the music was. Not only that, but Tim had brought a really neat lighting setup that made the DJ booth look more impressive than just a table with equipment on it. I highly recommend Tim and Austin Classic DJ. You won’t be disappointed!!

Amazing DJ and Amazing Music!!

Austin Classic DJ did a wonderful job as our DJ! I didn't have to worry about a thing with him announcing everything because he was so well-prepared and organized with his questionnaire before the wedding. He was so easy to work with and a great personality at our wedding! I also had a somewhat complicated ceremony music request, but he made it perfection by working with a live instrumentalist. That was one of my favorite parts of the whole day, and he made it happen better than I could've envisioned it! He also brought an awesome photo-booth that was so much fun for all my guests! His music selection was amazing and definitely made it a great experience for everyone! Highly recommend! Thank you so much for making our wedding amazing!!

My new husband and I got married on June 30, 2018 at Texas Old Town in Kyle, TX. (We're still on cloud nine!) As many engaged couples know, there are so many decisions to make when planning a wedding. There's so many, it's difficult to know where to start.

Well, we started off with deciding on our venue, Texas Old Town. They had a list of preferred vendors. As we sorted through the brochures, we came across Austin Classic DJ. After consulting with them, we realized they not only offered DJ services, but they also offered Photo Booth services and lighting options. It was an easy decision from there so we quickly booked them. They provided great customer service, helped answer all our questions, made our wedding day fun, and took care of three services in one.

So, what did I love the most? Well, I'm super obsessed with photos. A photo booth was a must have for our wedding. I knew it would be a hit, but it was way more than that. Our guests, both adults and children, absolutely loved the photo booth. Everyone enjoyed putting on silly hats, gathering in groups, taking silly photos, and making unforgettable memories. We loved it. Everyone loved taking home a keepsake.

From my experience, I highly recommend Austin Classic DJ!

We just had our wedding at Mercury Hall in Austin, TX and the photobooth was an absolute hit! I think my favorite part was walking by and seeing all the guests just having so much fun with all the props and getting their prints. You can't have a good party without a photo booth! Tony was so charming and professional. He made working with him super easy. I will be suggesting the photo booth service to everyone! Thank you!!

Our dj went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect!
I was a bride who did not have a long list of songs, and honestly couldn't decide on anything. I let the dj handle everything and he did an amazing job!!!! My guest loved his choice of music, and he kept it fun!

We truly loved our experience from Smith Photography and Austin Classic DJ. I had many questions which were all answered in a timely manner.
We weren't able to meet up in person for our initial photo consultation. Tony accommodated to us, and we ended up video chatting. We had our engagement photos and wedding photos done by Smith Photography. During both, Tony and Elena were a pleasure to be around. We felt very comfortable.
We initially found Smith Photography while looking for a DJ. We stumbled upon Austin Classic DJ. They were reasonably priced and had a great reviews. Our guests really enjoyed the entertainment. The transitions were smooth and seamless.
We recommend Smith Photography and Austin Classic DJ for anyone looking for professional, caring, and quality service.

So Austin DJ classic came with our photography packet that we purchased and included a Photo Booth as well. The DJ was INCREDIBLE! he was so accommodating to our needs and did everything absolutely perfect. we left some of the music choices up to him such as bouquet/garter toss and cake cutting and he did not disappoint one bit. everything was perfect, beyond perfect. he was so great. he did our music for our ceremony outside too and brought his own equipment and had music playing before the wedding which was so lovely.

Tony the owner of this company was so responsive from the get go and helped us to find a perfect package that included DJ service, uplighting, and our photobooth. At our wedding he was extremely professional and did a great job at keeping our guests involved and played great music to keep the party going. His son ran our photo booth and was also so nice and professional, I would recommend them to anyone any day.

For my June 10th wedding at Texas Old Town I had never met the dj before my wedding besides our email correspondence, so I was little nervous of what to expect. The day of the wedding I was blown away of the professionalism and the attententivness he had all evening long. He would ask me if I was having a good time and if Ineeded anything. The dj did a great job with my bridal announcements and his song timing was on point. I would use this company again for any large celebrations in the future!

We met Tony at a vendor event in Kyle, TX over a year before our wedding. When it came time to decide on our DJ, we remembered how kind Tony was! We reached out to him and got a great quote. About 2 months before the wedding we contacted him about our timeline/songs and he sent us a detailed questionnaire. It contained moments during the ceremony and reception that we didn't even think to add music to! He answered all questions promptly and professionally! Tiny arrived to our venue hours before the ceremony to set up and I officially met him then. He was so nice, easy going and professional. The entire wedding was perfect and the music we chose really added emotion to all of those special little moments! The dance music was so good and my husband and I even got to go on stage to be guest DJs! :) I very highly recommend Austin Classic DJ for any and all events!

Our DJ for the night was Tim and he did a great job. When I sent him my list of songs for the ceremony and reception I was a little worried because a large number of my songs were from video games who's composers were Japanese. However, it worked out wonderfully. He found all the songs and come to find out he's a Final Fantasy fan! When it came to dance time I let him choose what to play and the dance floor was never empty! Tim is a fantastic DJ!!

We could not be happier about hiring Austin Classic DJ!! We found Austin Classic DJ through our venue and we hit it off quickly. We felt like we were always on the same page and loved that they also offered a photobooth. Tony was always easy to get a hold of and had an answer for all of our questions. When we were a few weeks out from our wedding, I was starting to contact vendors for final confirmations, and he contacted me first! He was ready for music for any part of the ceremony and reception. He even reminded me of some parts that needed music. Tony was quick to answer my questions and extremely easy to work with. He worked with our odd requests and found all our unique songs. He was great at reading the room and Tony played all the music we requested and put together a killer set for the dancing portion of the night based on our interests and input. He was also good at making sure our “do not play” songs weren’t heard. He even got us on stage to be guest DJs! It was a lot of fun and our guests were moving!

Elena, who worked our photobooth, was also a joy to work with. She was very friendly and patient when explaining to my family that the booth took more than one photo. They had SO MANY props with them, their sequin backdrop perfectly matched one of our wedding colors, and they even personalized the photo strip with our wedding font. They even brought a scrapbook to place copies of the photo strips in and for our guests to write messages. Elena did a great job maintaining the book and her and Tony’s photo at the end was a nice touch. They were also quick to get us the digital photos to us a few days later.

Overall, Tony and Elena’s DJ and photobooth services were amazing! Both their services are reasonably priced and worth every penny and I cannot recommend them enough!

Tim was hands down the best DJ we could have asked for! The pricing was VERY reasonable. He played all of our favorite songs! He was able to feel out the crowd and know just what to play. He followed our timeline for the reception perfectly! He never missed a beat. We struggled finding a DJ that wasn't pricey but that was high quality as well. Tim is high quality for his price! He helped make our day perfect! We would refer anyone to him. We also referred our best friends to him for their wedding and everything was great! We didn't expect anything to be less than perfect, anyway.

Found this DJ through Smith Photography. Got a great deal since we booked the photographer and their DJ company. Music was great all night! Was not too particular during the reception, but DJ played the requested songs during the ceremony and the few requested songs during the reception! Job well done!

The music at our wedding was perfect! Tim emailed me a couple weeks before the wedding to get our list of songs, asked what we wanted to hear and what we did not want to hear. He was professional and played the best music! Would definitely recommend him for other weddings!

I was struggling to find a quality DJ that was at a reasonable price point. I didn't want to sacrifice on quality... but I also didn't want to spend an obscene amount of money either. After booking a day of coordinator, I was pointed in the direction of Austin Classic DJ. Not long after, I decided to listen to my DOC's testimony and book them, and I'm so glad I did! Tony was the DJ for our wedding and he was amazing. There was no cheesy wedding DJ vibe AT ALL. Tony was able to read the crowd and change up the music to fit the vibe. The groom and his friends wanted some pop punk at the end of the night, and he made that happen too! At one point, he brought the groom and I up to help DJ a song and it made for some fantastic snapchat opportunities and I can't wait to see the professional photos from that moment too. Several days later, everyone is still talking about how much fun they had AND I know without a doubt that Austin Classic DJ was a huge part of that. Tony also does wedding photography and had I not already had a photographer booked at the time I booked his DJ services, I'd have probably booked photography through him too! You will not regret dancing your heart out to Austin Classic DJ. BOOK THEM RIGHT NOW!

We had the pleasure of having Tim DJ our wedding and we could not get enough compliments about him! He came super early to set up and go over everything with us (pronunciations, wedding timeline, music, etc.). We had some complications where our dance party at the end was cut short from an hour and a half to 45 minutes, but Tim was always on top of it. He is just a great guy to talk to and adds so much character to your wedding. He is a MUST book.

The music made our night SO much fun-It set the tone right from the beginning!

We had a very unique set of songs we wanted played during our wedding and Tim made it happen! He asked questions so he would be prepared well in advance, asked for a timeline so he would know exactly what was going on and made our night incredible!

He even snuck in a few songs and shout outs that we told him about and gave our night a very personal touch.

Thank God we found DJ Tim! He SAVED us! He was so professional, and seemed genuinely excited to help us with our wedding. We can't imagine our wedding without him. He was fantastic at transitioning between dances and cake cutting, and with a very general music list, picked songs that got every one of our guests up and on the dance floor! He went above and beyond for us, and I will always recommend him before any other service. He was well worth such an affordable price!

Tim was our DJ and he was awesome! He had great music suggestions and kept the wedding timeline on schedule. He knew when to change a song that wasnt working and genre changes were smooth. No problems at the ceremony or reception.

I highly recommend them.

We had Tim for our DJ through Austin Classic DJ and he was AWESOME. I had some weird requests for first song and the song that was played while introducing the wedding party and he totally made it happen. He allowed us to play DJ and have fun and also checked in with us to make sure we were enjoying the tempo/pace of the evening. He was such a cool guy and so accommodating, I couldn't have asked for a better DJ :)

I can not even begin to describe how much we loved having Tony be a part of our special day! I take music very seriously and knew I wanted someone top notch, and boy did we get it!! Tony made our wedding super fun and the dance floor was never empty. He played exactly what we wanted and even let us come on stage to DJ with him!! Brides, do yourself a favor and give Tony a call, you wont regret it!

Tim was super easy to work with and took the stress out of wedding planning. He worked really well with us and came up with a great playlist for the evening. and kept our friends and family dancing all night! Very professional, quick to respond to emails and calls, and showed up really early! He also was super accommodating, taking suggestions from the guests. I would recommend Austin Classic DJ to anyone who wants to have a lot of dancing fun!

Tim was our DJ and he was amazing! I let him know that I loved to dance and had a shorter dress to dance in, so to try to keep the good dance songs until I had my dancing dress on and he obliged so every time I was on the dance floor he would put on his best songs! He kept the party going the entire time and every one had a blast! He also knew when to switch to the next song! He was great and I am so glad he was our DJ!!!!! Such a fun and helpful guy!

Tim was amazing! He helped us design the type of wedding we wanted that marked our personal style and helped everyone have a great time on the dance floor! He did our ceremony music and our reception, and it was flawless. At one point in our planning process, the DJ we were working with had to leave the company due to a personal reason, and Tony, the owner of the company, personally called us to explain the situation and introduce Tim. I was beyond impressed with his concern and understanding for our situation (changing vendors halfway through a planning process can be tricky or surprising, and I loved that he answered all of our new questions and faced the situation head on. It was a stand-up move, and I appreciated his involvement). Tim was on board to join our team immediately and made the transition flawless. We had an amazing time and he did an amazing job.

We could not be happier about hiring Tony and Austin Classic DJ. We contacted a few DJ's when we initially started our wedding planning, and it was clear from the beginning that Tony was on top of his stuff. He was always easy to get a hold of and had an answer for all of our questions. When we were a few weeks out from our wedding, I was starting to contact vendors for final confirmations, and he contacted me first! He was ready for music for any part of the ceremony and reception. He even reminded me of some parts that needed music (it's hard to think of everything when you've never planned a wedding before!).

He was all set with the equipment, helped out with the mics for my request for my sister to sing at the ceremony, and even visited me next door at Hula Hut (wedding was at Abel's and I was trying to avoid having the groom see me) to introduce himself and make sure I knew everything was ready to go and ask if there was anything else I needed before we got the wedding started. It was fantastic.

Tony played all the music we requested and put together a killer set for the dancing portion of the night based on our interests and input. He even got us behind the table to get some sweet, sweet, DJing photos.

I don't need DJ's very often, but if I did, I would call Tony again and again. 10 out of 10, would recommend and use again.

We LOVED our DJ!!!! We had so many special requests, and Andy was so great about working with us!!! We had a few very specific songs that we wanted played at our wedding and he made it happen! We also had a few that we didn't want as well :) Andy played a great variety of music and kept everyone dancing the entire night!! He even let me (the bride) take a picture as the DJ which turned out amazing!!! One of our special requests was that we wanted to do the "shoe game". He knew exactly what we were talking about and had an entire list of questions for us. It turned out great and our guests are still talking about how cute it was!! We are so happy that we went with Austin Classic DJ!

I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review for such a great wedding vendor. We are SO glad that we found Tim! He was responsive to our e-mails and answered every question we had. Our bridal party introduction was kind of unique and Tim handled it with no problem. Our guests still talk about how much fun they had at our wedding reception. My husband and I couldn't be happier. We would (and do) recommend Tim and Austin Classic DJ for your wedding!

SO much FUN!! I only had one request for Andy with Austin Classic DJ and that was to make our wedding a party, and he did just that! Everyone, even my husband, was dancing all night! He had to floor of the venue shaking, literally. I'm so glad Smith Photography recommended Andy to us and so glad we chose to use him!

Andy our DJ was just perfect. We explained the type of music we wanted and specific songs we would like played during our wedding and reception. He was cooperative and made the wedding and reception just right with the music selections. He was available for bouncing ideas off of for appropriate and good music to play during wedding ceremony. Andy was absolutely amazing! I had no idea what I wanted to do for music! I was all over the place trying to consider all of the different age groups that would be attending the wedding and how we could incorporate all of their different tastes in music. So I gave a small list of songs I for sure wanted played at the reception, and then basically told him to run with it and add any other ones he knew would be good that would allow for everyone to get a chance to get up and dance! He did awesome! Everyone really enjoyed the music selection, and I feel like there was a great variety played. Also added bonus, I got to be the DJ for a couple of songs and work the turn table which was super cool and a major hit! :) Andy took care of the ceremony and reception music and everything flowed beautifully! We had so much fun dancing the night away! Thank you Andy!!!

Andy did a great job as DJ for our wedding! We sent a (long) list of songs we liked, and he did a great job at using it to keep everyone dancing. My husband also appreciated hearing a lot of his favorite songs during dinner. We sent a short do-not-play list which he was on top of as well. Andy also worked with our coordinator to make any necessary announcements during dinner and dancing, so everything went smoothly. Austin Classic DJ provided wonderful service for a great price, and we are glad we chose Andy!

Andy with Austin Classic DJ is the best! We learned about him through our photographer Smith Photography. This is the way to go, great pictures and great music all from one location! Andy was so easy to work with. He sent us an email with questions about how/when we wanted the music and if we had certain songs that we wanted played. He played music before the ceremony, during the ceremony and for the reception and I never once worried about it. Thank you so much Andy for taking that wedding day stress away from me and playing music to keep my guests out on the dance floor!

Tony & Elena, the photographers, and Dj Andy (Austin classic DJ ) are the perfect team! What makes them special is their passion. They love what they do and it shows in their quality they provide. We would give them 10 stars, but weddingwire only limits 5. When we first met them, it was like meeting old friends. They're laid back, very accommodating, and stress free. We recommend getting the whole package the photography and the Dj service. For the price you will not be disappointed. Their prices are very reasonable compare to other vendors. We loved every single picture of our engagement and wedding. The soundtrack to our wedding was awesome. Thank you Tony, Elena, and Andy.

Andy was a pleasure to deal with. We gave him a list of songs ahead of time to play and he played them all. The way i think he was a good dj was that he didnt try to steal the show. Ive been to weddings where the dj would talk and talk but Andy knew when to talk and knew when to play music. I barely remember him talking which is a plus when it comes to dj'ing weddings. He knew when to play all the songs and he also nailed our reception songs. I highly recommend him especially for the bargain price he charges.

Austin Classic DJ aka DJ Andy made our wedding soundtrack perfect. We had friends come up to us during the reception and literally say "I love your wedding soundtrack" or "your DJ is great". We were so pleased with the service, the music, the professionalism... and of course, the price!! This is hands down the best DJ at the best price in the area. Trust me, we searched high and low. When we met with Smith Photography and learned about Austin Classic DJ, we thought it might be too good to be true... Then we met with Andy - he had a great, outgoing personality and was so willing to create the perfect set list for our big day and we knew we wouldn't regret choosing Austin Classic DJ. Be sure to send him your music likes/dislikes and be specific - he is open to what each couple wants, but also makes great suggestions. We would recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ.

We greatly appreciated the services of Austin Classic DJ this last Saturday at our daughter's wedding reception. Andy's services began before the wedding as he contacted us several times to make sure the playlist and dance songs were correct and just what we wanted.
Andy turned out to be a great DJ - he was very responsive to our group's requests and had old and young alike up dancing. In his professional capacity, Andy arrived at the reception hall early and was set up long before the event. He was playing music as the first guests arrived from the church and helped us wrap up the evening. It was a great pleasure to work with him.

Andy, our DJ with Austin Classic DJ did a wonderful job at our wedding. Not only did he handle the reception music, he also did the ceremony music as well! We looked at tons of DJ's before finally coming across Austin Classic DJ. What a relief to work with Andy. He made things so easy. We got to choose the songs we like (and ban the ones we don't like). Even when there was a little bump in the evening because we forgot to tell him about a song we wanted for one of our dances, Andy downloaded the song on his phone and nobody ever knew there was a problem. Several of our guests told us how fun our reception was and we know it was because Andy played great music all night. If you need a great (and really affordable) DJ for your wedding, Austin Classic DJ should be your choice!

Andy was awesome!!! We are so glad that we chose Austin Classic DJ for our wedding. They were very open to our suggestions and requests before the wedding. All of our e-mails were answered very quickly. On the day of the wedding, Andy had music playing the entire time. He kept everyone informed of what was going on and...most importantly...he played GREAT music! He played our requested songs but also added songs that everyone loved. Tony and Elena recently started offering a DJ package for weddings along with the photography they do. We were lucky enough to be able to not only have Tony and Elena photograph our wedding but also bring in David (their DJ) at the last minute. He brought in and set up all his equipment and lighting well in advance of the dance and was extremely professional. He was dancing and grooving to all the songs and it was obvious he loved his job. We provided him a list of music only a week before the wedding and he had everything loaded and ready to go with no problems. Southland dj & photo booth

I believe that the Dj could have been a little more loud in the mic due to us having talkative guest. Other than that music was great!! Partied all night & the photobooth was SO FUN! It came with a book with our guest pics too so that was a huge plus!!

I have to say I was pretty disappointed in this DJ. I do not feel like he used our requested playlist hardly at all. There were songs that I really wanted and expected to be played that weren't. He started out with slow songs and kept playing slow songs at the beginning, which I felt like made it more difficult to get the party started. My husband actually had to go and tell him to play more upbeat songs. I really feel like the music was the least favorite part of my wedding. There were times when almost none of my guests were dancing (and the few that were were at my request to try to keep the party going.) Pretty much every song that was played was a wedding "cliche," and while I wanted some classics, I definitely wanted to mix in some newer, different songs, which he did not do. Maybe I should have communicated exactly what I wanted/was expecting a little better, but I assumed I didn't have to worry about it since he is experienced and had positive reviews. He was inexpensive, so there is one positive. He would be good for someone who wants all classic, cliche wedding music. I just recommend communicating exactly what you want to a T, or maybe go a different direction.

Terrible expierinece

My fiance and I booked all of our vendors from our venue's "preferred vendor list" and Austin Classic DJ was one of them. When our wedding got delayed due to COVID, all of our vendors allowed for us to transfer some or all of our original deposit to our new wedding date EXCEPT the DJ. He also required the largest deposit (50% of total cost), and refused to transfer any amount of it. We originally had a July 2020 wedding in Texas which was peak COVID season. Funny enough, he told us that we could pay another 50% deposit if we wanted to book him for our new date next year, while following up with us saying he may not be in business next year so he couldn't afford to refund our original deposit. Sorry but the last thing I want to do is flush another 50% deposit down the drain with this guy. He was unreasonable, not flexible, and more concerned about his deposit than he was with his customer. The rest of our vendors were extremely empathetic and flexible. Luckily they all didn't act like this DJ otherwise we would be out a small fortune in deposits, and may not have been able to afford a postponed wedding at all.
